I had a wonderful experience at the LA Fitness in Frisco (121)! The facility was clean, the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly, and it had all the amenities I was hoping for. There were also plenty of machines, weights, and equipment so there was no waiting even during the busy post-work gym rush.They’ve done a nice job balancing social distancing and fitness needs, “social fitnessing” done well :)

I think out of the 4 locations that I've been to, the one on 121 (Frisco) is by far the best. The accommodations are clean, people are respectful, the pool is nice and nobody bothers you. The people that i have interacted with are pretty friendly and i like that. I also don't have to actually walk up to the desk because they have a little table to the side to scan in--because Rona--but that's a plus. And for the people that refuse to wear a mask they are pretty good about going around and reminding people.

No chance I continue coming here with how things have been “post” Covid. Masks are REQUIRED in Texas, yet more than half of the people inside still don’t wear a mask. The other half have a mask on, but it’s around their neck, and not covering the nose or mouth. And guess what, NOT A SINGLE STAFF MEMBER SAYS ANYTHING. They are literally letting people walk in without masks on, without comment.

This LA Fitness is perhaps the best LA fitness I've been to. Henry at this gym is an absolute treat to work with. Not only did he help me with my membership issues I had because of another location, he went above and beyond to make sure I am well taken care off for the inconvenience I had to face.
Top notch customer service from him.. He took care of my concerns almost immediately and then followed up the next day with a call to let me know exactly what he did and by when I can expect the process to complete. So professional! THE go-to person if you have any concerns or if you're just having a bad day even.. Fantastic guy! I generally recommend this location because it is neat and all but I'd go a step further and say that I'd recommend it for Henry because he will do anything and everything to make sure you're take care off.

There is a serious problem with this LA Fitness. I believe it trickles down from the gym manager and management. If you ever got to talk to him you would def know what I pointing out. Employees are there just to sign you up for something and make you spend more money. There is another LA fitness in Frisco on Main St. You could see a vast difference in the service, sales and overall experience there. Even Planet Fitness gives out better service.

Worst run LA Fitness... I've been to many in 5 states and 5 others in the DFW area this is by far the worst run. Yesterday only 3 of the 8 showers had shower curtins and today of course those 3 had no soap. The equipment is always waiting on a repair as well..

Once again they show how bad they are. The pool had WAY too much acid in it. Last week I saw a guy just pouring a bottle of chemical into the pool as I walked in at lunchtime. It seems they must had done it again on a day I swim, because the smell was so strong I could not finish my normal swim.

The pool water is also very merry with stuff floating in it. The LA fitness in Denton's pool is Crystal clear!

Nothing wrong with this place that couldn't be fixed by corporate if they really cared! Facility managers aren't there very long. (The sales guy has been there too long. Most of the routine customers don't like him.) If they're good, they move them to straighten out problems at another location. The facilitymanagers usually try to respond to customer complaints, but mostly give an excuse. Same old, same old repeated issues. Ladies Locker room is cleaned well. Pool guy that is contracted out has been working there a long time. He slacks off each time they get a new manager until we complain. Sad. This is a great convenient location, but the facility and locker rooms could use some updating. Property management needs to have ALL the trees trimmed front and back for safety,visibility, and aesthetics. No one from management or corporate is likely to respond to this post.

The gym is in a great location and looks very nice from the outside. Once inside though, it is not very clean or well kept. What I mean by well kept is that some machines, benches, and the floor have stains or rips on them and the gym in general just looks older than it probably is or should look like. The restrooms are pretty filthy as well, though I haven't used the showers, so I can't comment on that. It does have a lot of equipment and it is all working. I haven't had an issue so far where a piece of equipment is out of service. I just wish the gym was renovated a bit, especially considering the monthly price.

Also, avoid personal training at this location and possibly at LA fitness in general. Their trainers are not well trained and give the wrong advice very often, both in exercises and in diet. Plus the manager will tell you one thing like being able to cancel anytime, then go back on what he said once you've signed up.

This is a decent LA Fitness location. It has their standard layout plan like many other locations have. I got here at 12-noon and there wasn't very many people, just your typical zombies who can't put down their phones for 2 minutes. There was only one person on staff who was answering phones, checking in people, and explaining memberships to prospective members. As I exercised with weights and machines, I noticed the equipment was dirty and dried sweat was on them. The floor was dirty, the water fountain area was dirty, and the shower was dirty. Cleanliness is a really big deal to me in a place where everyone uses their hands. So this is why I'm dropping two stars.

Tried 2 times to cancel my membership and of course made me jump through hoops. Both times I went in when the operations manager should of been there but wasnt. Maybe it's the time I come in but the gym is always neat, and the people working out are focused and there for a reason. The staff is friendly and always cleaning something. My brother is a member of the privilege club with guest. But he was misled by the club member that another guest could be added for couple of bucks. That day me my brother and father wanted to spend a memorable time at the gym. But I was allowed as an extra guest. Trying to cancel an account within LA Fitness it a huge hassle. Never have I had such issues canceling. I have been injured and unable to go in person to cancel. I was told I could mail in a cancelation or come in person. I called the corporate number. To get a refund on my account since I have not visited a location in months, to be denied. I tried mailing in my cancelation and it "was never received." I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service this business has given. Never again will I step foot in an LA Fitness.

I stopped off at LAFitness off 121 to work out as the rainy weather made traffic a mess. This gym is rather old and they really need to update their equipment. I do not go there that often but it's only out of convenience to kill some time. It ok for now but I am looking to cancel my membership. I usually go to the Denton location but that gym is getting worse. They have opened a Planet Fitness, a new Texas Family Fitness will be opened as well. The staff does not seem to care and it takes forever to get things fixed. It is just an ok gym franchise but in the end it's only time until a new one opens and you can change it to get a fresh start a new place and get out if the old routine at a gym that is no longer doing it for you. Time to move on!!

Once a great destination for workout, this place is deteriorating fast. Most showers don't work or have no curtains or get no hot water in men's lockers. Broken equipment does not get fixed quickly, and new equipment coming in is unheard of. Main street location is much nicer, except they don't have hot tub. Great place for a workout. When equipment breaks down it gets fixed pretty fast. Staff is friendly and helpful. Also, they try their best to keep the facility clean. The carpet tiles in the men's locker room was replaced about 6 months ago as it was worn out and smelled like smelly socks. Unfortunately, it smells bad again. I was taking a shower after a workout at around 9:15 am today. When I opened my eyes, I saw dark water like thin black ink shower down my hair. So I tried several different cells, all had the same dark water. The manager told me the city was checking the water so they turned the emergency water on. And they had no idea what caused the dirty water. In that case, can you at least put a sign outside the shower? What if there’s something dangerous in the water like chemicals? At least 5 more people were heading to the shower as well..can you imagine how much impact it would have if the water is bad?

Brought my girlfriend here for her first time and the GM gave me a guest pass for her to try. She loved it as much as I do! This place is incredibly clean and the staff are always willing to help. Henry was great in assisting us with any issues we had regarding checking in.

This was the easiest guest pass process I’ve had to go through without someone getting asked lots of questions and feeling pressured to sign up. LA fitness feels like home to me and now my girlfriend is signed up and currently getting her family to sign up here.

My insurance has a fitness program which includes a LA fitness membership. When our company shut down I thought I was going to lose it. So I called to ask about a short term membership to fill in the blanks before I found my next job and get insurance again. The salesman Steven put me on month to month membership. Then he asked me to pay for an enrollment fee, first and last month membership. I specifically asked what if I get insurance and need less then two month. He promised that can be prorated and I will get a refund. But after he charged me, he did not send me any email or paperwork like he promised. I was busy with other things so I did not follow up. I thought I can just do it when I visit the gym.
I found out that I would still be on fitness program for another 180 so I won’t be needing my own membership. So I walked in to talk to cancel and got refund. But then they told me they can not issue any refund. It is their company policy. I mentioned what the salesman told me, but he would just deny what he had told me.

When you want to register in LA-Fitness, completely do attention to all terms of their contract!
If you want to cancel your membership even after the first meeting, and only after a week of using this club, you will experience the worst customer service among American clubs!

They make money with their unfair policies! They will charge you for 2 months at first and you just have 3 days for canceling with refund!! means you have no time to change your mind. This time for cancellation means no refund after registration.

I tried 2 different locations (Frisco on Highway 121 and McKenny in Custer) and both have similar problems. The children's care club is awful, it is an empty room without proper toys and someone who cares them continuously. The lowest standard and quality in their small swimming pool and bathroom.
