The people at the front desk are very welcoming & friendly. Even though it’s a gym it doesn’t smell like a gym. The restrooms & workout areas are always clean thanks to their very nice & hardworking staff members. I was made to wait for the employee that registers new members. He had someone at his desk, however, it appeared the procces had been completed. He was leaning back on his chair and carrying a long conversation with this person. He appeared sleepy, tired and disinterested in his surroundings. Another employee was asked to assist me and I heard him tell the receptionist he was busy that I would have to wait. The receptionist was the only one that was busy and handling the front desk by herself. All in all they were rude and negative. I am a member but I go to another location 👍🏻 I was only there to help a family member join at the N Shepherd location. I had one more question which the employee was unsure of the answer and said to call back and ask for the manager. That she was on leave, she left home sick that day but it was possible she would be back the next day 😳. I also had the choice to call their nearby location and ask that manager my question. The audacity!

SCAMMERS !!! PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. Y I was told by the associate that signed me up that I would pay $60 for me and my elderly mother and that's basically half and half for each person. My mother is no longer able to walk. I went into cancel thinking my membership would be down 50%. And they told me that I was basically paying only $5 for a guest pass. Therefore I would continue to pay $55 if I cancel the membership for my mother. They refuse to give me any information about any corporate number also said they did not know who actually signed me up at their location. Lies because these people actually scammers get commission from each and every person they sign up how is it possible they don't know whose side me up. Beware of the scammers and liars. It's extremely hard to cancel these memberships you have to go in person and they lie to people letting them know that it's been canceled
There is numerous lawsuits against LA fitness about they're impossible process to cancel memberships please be aware

Went in bc I had a 3 day guest pass & the guy sent a couple and their baby home and me as well bc apparently the only government issued ID they accept is a driver license. I had my non expired passport and he didn’t even bother to look at it. A complete waste of my time honestly. I wish they stated that somewhere when you sign up for the pass. This gym isn’t in the safest location either & from what I saw it looked old and understaffed. The staff seemed a little off, no actual sense of hospitality just trying to get me to sign up for a membership right then and there, like there’s a reason I wished to tour the gym before. The equipment is good a few things has rust mostly the treadmills but it gets the job done..

The cleaning has gotten a lot better I guess I went at a bad time the last time I went the showers still need some attention more frequently but it’s not like they tell people to be dirty… some people just are🤦🏻‍♀️😮‍💨 but I have notice they have a crew to clean more frequently 😎😌

the class schedules are always on time and pretty fun!

The pool is mostly packed in the mornings/ night but still manageable but most people understand the courtesy of a 2 per lane

The sauna is always clean that is no doubt 🤣 the nastys don’t like going in there for some reason 🙌😭thank you Jesus 😂

Now the Restrooms…. They’re good 😌

….. this place has gotten so horrible…unless everyone in the morning is just careless which can happen but the showers have hair in all stalls one even had a foul smell like poop…. 🤢 And the counters are covered in I don’t know what…. don’t feel comfortable taking the phone to the showers because there is people in the stalls but all the hair is there… and also the changing room is humid… so by the time you change your sweaty all over…

I’ve been to other gyms and always had issues with cleanliness but here at this location it’s way better than others!! They keep everything clean and have really good workout machines. However I would hope for the future they supply small rags for gym people to wipe down machines and keep rags instead of napkins but that’s just my opinion but napkins works too just don’t want to use so many napkins for one time use! :( but overall good place for workouts!!

Gym is usually in well enough shape, and busy at the typical times for all gyms, but I am really annoyed that they have Fox always playing in the locker room with two other channels, and now they all have their volume on too so the whole locker room is a ruckus with noise. Really irritating, have left messages for manager multiple times at the front desk to just not have news on the TV and nothings changed, don't need partisan bull blaring at me first thing in the morning.

Decades old equipment. Everything looks and feels dirty. Entire gym smells of old sweat. This location is definitely past due on some upgrades. Amenities are a plus (sauna, court, pool, etc.) but I’m too afraid to use any and catch an infection.

It's... okay. The staff is good. The showers have pretty low water pressure. I see a lot of broken glass in the parking lot from break-ins. Apparently for the longest time the cameras were broken, but they got those fixed I believe. So I think I've been seeing less evidence of break-ins. The sauna is great, but if you sit nearer to the door you get a lot less heat due to people going in and out. Going at peak hours can be annoying, so I'd recommend seeing how crowded it can get before committing. Occasional rude people playing music with no headphones, talking on the phone while in the shower (lol) or sauna. Or taking up all the space on the benches in the locker room.

I’ve only been coming here for about a month and
I really love the atmosphere. I feel like everyone is pretty respectful and encouraging. I love that it’s not an influencer gym so I’m not constantly dodging cameras. The staff is also really nice. My only con is the lack of paper towels and this weird smell that ig I haven’t been going long enough to become nose blind to. It’s also right below the Tesla charging stations so it’s super convenient for me.

Retaliation and the fear of retaliation:

I walked into the gym today, having posted the first review, and I was told by Heith (Keith) that the member I met here for cardio is not allowed to sign me in. After allowing the member in only, he stated that I am not allowed to come into the gym unless I am willing to purchase a membership or ask the other members to help me come up with the money to purchase a membership. Even then, he added, I will be treading on thin waters. He says the reason I am not allowed is because I requested policy and didn't listen only when it was explained to me. I asked, since requesting policy, what policy have I broken. He stated, "the one you didn't read." I asked him to clarify and he said no I am not giving you your way, answering how you would like to be answered. I then asked to him to clarify if I am not being allowed in because I broke policy, or are you excercising your right to revoke privileges just because the policy allows for it. He said, "both". When he refused to clarify which policy, I offered to call corporate. He stated that he would like for me to wait on his boss to come in 40 minutes instead. When I stated i would like to call corporate first, he called the police.

Disruptive Class Experience & Dismissive Management

I recently visited this location for the first time to attend an evening yoga session, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had at a fitness studio.

During the last 20 minutes of class, two different individuals entered the studio loudly—one looking for a mat, the other for a raiser. While I understand that things happen, it was disruptive to an otherwise calming session. A participant kindly mentioned that class was in session, but the comment was ignored. Even the instructor noted this type of disruption is a recurring issue.

After class, I politely raised my concern to the on-site manager, Racheal, and suggested a simple solution: placing signs or providing mats and raisers outside the studio door to prevent further interruptions. Instead of acknowledging the feedback professionally, Racheal offered a vague, “I’ll try to do something.” When I asked for a way to file a formal complaint (a contact number or email), she told me, “We don’t do that here.”

That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. I wasn’t expecting immediate action, but I did expect my concern to be heard and taken seriously. At the very least, there should be a process for providing feedback—especially when it impacts the experience of paying members.

I hope this location reevaluates how management handles member concerns. Racheal, in particular, could benefit from training in de-escalation and neutral customer service, rather than appearing to show favoritism or brushing off valid concerns.

Terrible experience. Had my belongings stolen by MALE IN WOMEN’S LOCKER ROOM while I was ALONE in there and cameras DID NOT WORK. Gym did absolutely nothing.

I had just signed up and was excited to start my fitness journey—this was my first few days attending. During one of my visits, a male entered the women’s locker room while I was alone inside and stole all of my belongings.

I reported it immediately, and the staff had no idea what to do. They didn’t know how to check the cameras and told me I had to wait until the next day. When I followed up, I was told the cameras were too blurry to identify the man, and that was the end of it. No real action was taken.

To make things worse, the gym REFUSED to refund my membership—even though I hadn’t even been there for a full week. I paid upfront for a gym that claimed to care about safety, and instead I left feeling completely vulnerable and dismissed.

The fact that a man could enter the women’s locker room without anyone noticing, and the cameras couldn’t even provide a clear image, is a huge safety issue. If something more serious had happened, they wouldn’t have even been able to identify him.

If you’re a woman looking for a safe place to work out or a more compassionate gym, this is not it.

Unbearably Loud Music at this location

I’ve tried giving this gym multiple chances since I live next door, but the music is unbearably loud. I’ve brought it up with staff several times, and their response is always that they can’t change the settings. How ridiculous is that? It’s so bad that I have to turn my own headphones up uncomfortably high just to block it out their music. Unfortunately, some times I have to drive more to go to the Heights location instead.
If you’re looking for a more comfortable workout environment, I’d recommend going there instead.

The parking at this location is horrible, no respect for handicap spots, I have metal rods on my shins and I don’t mind no handicap spots available as long as they’re taken by people with disabilities. The dirtiest La Fitness I’ve been to. The free weights smell like broccoli and dirty Pennie’s. Management needs to get the employees to bring them out back and wash them down with dawn dish soap and disinfectant and a plastic bristle brush! Those little wet wipes don’t do anything they need a DEEP WASH. the cardio equipment upstairs is ancient! Rusted and old! They even use the iPhone 4 chargers!! Remember the old wide ones? The whole gym needs to get a deep clean. I felt disgusting and dirty after my workout. When your hands stink, so will your water jug, phone and everything else you touch. The only reason for the two stars was the front desk was polite and they have equipment available but that’s it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone sign up here

Maritza is the lady that takes care of the lady's locker, she is amazing. She does so good keeping up with the lady's locker, restroom n sauna. When something is needed she is fast to attend to ur needs.. very friendly person. Everytime i see her she is always doing something. She stays busy!! She is a hard worker!

I’m usually do a late stress reliever session and the late crew whether is Camila or Elvis are always friendly and encouraging to Take the HIIT to next level, muito obrigada
the gym is clean and organize, cleaning crew it’s one of kind , I had visit several location nationwide and not even the signature clubs are this clean but this crew it’s #1 Gracias Jesus&Sandra , this mind sound like a joke lockers, restroom, showers are so clean that I seen people eating around the lockers,
All the equipment is ready to be use so I make the most of every second , every rep
