The equipment is very old. They really need to update it. Tip: Don't buy their training program: you pay at least $70.00 for 25 minutes of training, which isn't even a full hour. If you try to cancel, you need to pay half of the remaining length of the program. Ridiculous....
They also offer a nutrition plan, which is a lie. They only give you a list of recommended foods, but it's not a plan as such. If you're not traveling out of state, ask them to remove "out-of-state" visits when you purchase your membership; you'll save a few dollars on your monthly fee. Otherwise, they'll include it without even asking.
The only thing good is their staff, which is friendly most of the time.

I have been coming here for years and it has downgraded absolutely terribly I’m not even talking about just the equipment missing for almost 5 years now but the fact that they were ok letting someone in countless times literally about to be 2 -3 years I guess la fitness giving out free memberships? they even knew and still let this homeless person in after letting them know the sexual assault that happened in the gym and they let this person on with no membership for these 2 WHOLE YEARS!. They even had the homeless LIVE THERE I had to call numerous times to complain and all I got was a laugh from a lady at the front & was told I’m going to waste my time calling the cops! Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. Valentino was being utterly disrespectful to me and the person I was going with mentioning “oh you guys here again?” With an ugly attitude, it’s obvious he was trying to sneak the boy or girl wtv it is homeless person in because I have seen him do it NUMEROUS of times and I was extremely furious and disappointed! I called hr they didn’t do anything either! Valentino specifically mentioned it to me that “oh why are you calling hr for? Is not like they’re gonna do anything!” And he sure was right but Is still absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous who put that guy as a manager? Type of crap is that! What a coincidence when I called to tell them look at your footage u have cameras taken down! Thats so bizarre! They all should be investigated because even after the sexual assault , sexual harassment, harassment, and stalking from this person they would still let that homeless person go in AFTER THEY KNEW AND AFTER BANNING THIS PERSON THEY WOULD STILL SNEAK THIS HOMELESS PERSON IN and they were ok with it they mentioned they ban her or him wtv it is and the manager that’s a lady told me this person was ban but even during the ban this person was STILL GOING TO THE GYM FOR FREE! SOMETHING IS SUSPICIOUS & malicious! Thats why we cancelled! The rest are absolutely unprofessional because they would let it slide and let that person in and on top of that being told one of the people in the front has said something HIGHLY inappropriate comments towards my friend is just disgustingly weird. You guys need to do better at hiring the right people. So glad I canceled the membership it was nothing but uncomfortable, disgust, disappointment, and frustration! TOO MANY SAFTEY CONCERNS !!! Machines are old. Some of them don't work. LA Fitness doesn't care about this location compared to other ones. This gym is in a really good location. It used to be a great gym, but not anymore. Also, the pool and jacuzzi are always closed for one reason or another. It seems like they don't want customers at this gym anymore, so I expect it would be close some day. Also, bathrooms and showers are really dirty. I found roaches EVERYWHERE, specifically on the lockers. The maintenance guy never cleans the men's bathrooms well; he is always on his phone or talking with other people. The walls and floors in the showers are dirty; he never scrubs the floor with soap or the walls like at the other LA Fitness. Manager seems like she does everything she can

It was fine. I went here for a few months while my home gym was being repaired. It did the job. However, every single day, about 90% of the dumbbells are scattered around the gym. They told us when we joined that they replaced them daily but that definitely does not happen. Super frustrating trying to workout and have to walk around the gym to find a pair of dumbbells. It’s also not the cleanest gym. In the time I went, 2 different instances of homeless men wandering in and, in one instance, almost fighting a regular gym goer…. it’s just not the best run place but it’ll get the job done.

LA Fitness on I-10 and silber rd, Houston, TX, do not have enough chairs for silver sneakers class. We already told the front desk several times and until now no response. We, senior people had to bring extra chairs from the first floor to the second floor. And the chairs do not fit the requirements for the exercise because they're just regular chairs. I hope the management pays attention to this problem.

I am writing this as I am leaving the gym It’s Tuesday June 3rd, 2025 at almost 7 am I am not sure who the young guy was who was working in the front when I came in at 5 am name is ( wish I had gotten it ) . However I was amazed by how sweet and helpful he was without any problems . I won’t recommend this place, yesterday someone broke the lock on the locker and stole my bag.

I understand LA Fitness doesn’t have control over the moral behavior of the people, but they should have control over who is going in and out of the gym, that’s why they have this check in system plus security cameras.

I ask a reimbursement to the place and they say that they aren’t responsible FOR THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED INSIDE THEY LOCATION.

So, if you believe you and your belongings are safe inside this location, think twice.

Going to this gym has been one of the most irritating and disgusting experiences of any fitness complex.

First and foremost, the pool was drained several months for repairs in the pool ceiling but it hasn’t been cleaned and or filled and it’s been left with standing water. It’s gotten to the point that there’s algae growing in the water left behind.

Also, members don’t clean up after themselves and even if they did. There’s no sanitizing wipes available for use or you have to go across the complex to get some since the staff there doesn’t restock them at all.

The other thing that this facility lacks is simple curtesy from other members. Members will spend their time talking to each other while hogging machines and WILL NOT restock their weights. The dumbbell section has 20-30% of the weights that it supposed to have and if you’re trying to workout with a barbell then good luck because sometimes they are in the first floor for some reason.

You will spend a majority of your time trying to find weights to even do one workout.

Cardio Machines here are not repaired and the ones that do work are rusty to the point I have considered getting a tetanus shot and don’t get me
Started on the weight machines. Management and staff at this gym do not care about this facility.

If you care about your fitness environment and journey then this gym is not for you. Even planet fitness across the street is cleaner and safer than coming here.

This is my favorite gym to exercise at in Houston. The machines are well maintained, they have a good selection of equipment, it’s clean and the staff is friendly. I recently moved to Houston and decided to check out the LA Fitness in the area, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The gym is spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with a wide variety of workout machines and free weights.
The standout for me was Abby at the reception. She was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the sign-up process smooth and easy. It's refreshing to encounter such friendly staff!

Overall, this gym has a great atmosphere, and I’m excited to continue my fitness journey here. Highly recommend!

Fire gym. Visited from MD and the manager Miguel hooked me up with a sweet deal! Nationwide access to all facilities. Great customer service and very upkept gym. Will definitely be back when I’m in the Houston area again.

Amazing experience revived lots of help and guidance about membership information with Moises recently. And since then coming here has been great! Welcoming atmosphere unlike other gyms! It always looks nice and orderly when I come! Love it!

When you try to cancel you membership they tell you “oh no to cancel you have to come back to when the manager is working and he only works Monday- Friday 8-5… losers.
