I have been going to this gym multiple times a week for years. Always has a good amount of people there and is very well kept. Out of nowhere they announced they are closing in December. Sadly this seems to be the last serious but non “influencer” gym in NRH and I personally will miss it dearly.

I sometimes stop by this place because my business requires a travel to every cities. It’s a small, quiet facility with well-organized equipment, and I have no complaints about that. However, the swimming pool temperature could use some adjustment. The pool a bit cold. The fitness area also needs more regular cleaning—routine checkups to ensure cleanliness are really important.

Tonight on 10-21-25 I show up trying to get a quick workout in before they close, since they decided to start closing a hour earlier than all the other LA Fitness locations. I show up at 9:15 to workout and I always leave before the closing time and within a 40 min span I was told 3 separate times by the employee that they close at 10. I can’t even relax and workout without someone bothering me almost every 10 minutes and they already had said closing is at 10. I don’t have dementia I don’t need to be reminded multiple times while I’m trying to finish. This is why cookie cutter gyms don’t last. This used to be an awesome gym but has declined severely over the last year. I have been here for 5 years but it’s time to find a new place to actually get a good workout in. What a shame, this used to be my favorite gym….

I have been going to this location 5 days week for years now and have always been pleased with it. I travel all over DFW for work and use to go to which ever LA Fitness location that was close that day. I have gone to all of them, once I found this one I made it my preferred gym. I read the comments below and disagree with them. 1. Customer service - it's a gym, I rarely ever need to interact with them and when I do it's a good experience. 2. It's like a retirement community - if you mean clean and quite, that's exactly why I picked this location. If you like people on speaker phones, the scream grunter, or have to work around the filming of someone's attempt to go viral, this isn't your place. 3. The equipment is always broken - I have never seen equipment sit broken longer then 3 days. It's rare when they get broken and when they do they get it working quickly.
So if you like to respect others personal space, cleanliness and friendly faces you will like this gym.

I would have given this gym a 5/5 stars as it's clean, spacious, and has great amenities. However, the experience that I've had with the sales teams over these past few weeks have been really unprofessional and disrespectful. The sales team completely misrepresented the plan that I had signed up for, used stalling tactics to delay the cancelation of my plan, threatened me with spam phone calls, and used disrespectful language throughout this entire process. I do not recommend anyone in signing up for their training plans and will be telling everyone that I know about this dismal experience.

I had a membership and went to the Hurst location for more than 10 years. It closed. NRH not convenient… I couldn’t find on the website where to cancel so I sent in an email request to cancel.

The Operations Manager at this location emailed and told me I had to physically go to a Club, meet with an OM to cancel. Didn’t I mention there wasn’t one near me already?

Flash forward, I stopped by the Arlington location en route to a business meeting - and they told me their OM wasn’t in so no one could cancel - sent me further away to Mansfield.

I drive to Mansfield (making me late for my business meeting) - and that OM was great. The rub? She said we CAN cancel on the website…when I showed her the email, she was perplexed.

I replied to the email from NRH OM about the findings - and still wouldn’t admit it.

HERES WHY THEY DO THIS: The managers are paid based on electrons funds transfers (memberships). It’s clear when they closed the Hurst location, those EFTs were transferred to the NRH location - and why they would make it so difficult.

Other than Mansfield - this company is NOT member focused. The way they pay their managers wouldn’t encourage it, either…

This LA Fitness is honestly one of the worst gyms I’ve been to. The equipment is outdated and half the machines are either broken or barely functional. The atmosphere is dead feels more like a retirement center than a gym. Most of the people working out are overly sensitive or just plain rude, and the staff isn’t any better, unhelpful and clearly not interested in being there. Not worth the membership at all. I’ll never go back after the terrible experience I had today.

Had my truck broken into in the parking lot there. They had no cameras anywhere in the gym or outside and when i asked about even seeing if they did have cameras i was told i had to contact corporate and then nobody could give me any contact information for corporate. On top of that, they just now restocked paper towels for the entire gym after not having any in the entire gym for weeks. And multiple pieces of equipment have been broken for months now. Don’t trust this location, I signed up for personal training service that I paid for hundreds of dollars monthly, the sales team how had me signing the contract gave me absolutely misleading information, they told me trainers are available in weekends and evenings which are the only times I can do and signed the contract based on this, they told me I’ll be given nutrition plan, they told me my trainer will be monitoring progress and this ALL didn’t happen. They don’t have training staff available, no plan was put for me and I got 3 month worth of sessions accumulated in my account, I was also told I can cancel any time with 30 days notice and this was also misleading information. Will not recommend this place at all.

This gym is really clean compared to others. I don’t have any issues with my intersections with people, working staff, or the machines. I’m a fan of the basketball court as well. Most LA Fitnesses have floors that are elevated in some areas but this court is petty leveled all around. Definitely recommend coming here for a quick workout session.

Upon arrival, I was informed that my guests were not in the system even though I added them at another location beforehand but since it didn't show up when I scanned the QR code, I was told I needed to add them again. When you look at the base of gym equipment/machines, it’s not unusual to find bundles of hair/sod as depicted in the picture. Also, they still refuse to install security cameras to deter theft, resulting in several brake-ins into lockers per year, for which they refuse to take any responsibility. Other than that, good gym.

MAKE SURE TO READ YOUR CONTRACT OR RECORD YOUR CONVERSATION BEFORE YOU SIGN IT.. They say something and make you sigh another thing. And as it’s a lot to read you trust on the person you are talking and sign the contract. They said me that I could sign a personal training with 3 months commitment and now they are saying I signed a contract for 6 months commitment. I know I did not agree with this. They did the same thing with my daughter last year, she committed for 3 months and after that she went there and ask to cancel but they didn’t. They kept charging it for 10 months until I realized what was going on and my husband went there and they finally canceled. I was reluctant before sign up for this gym again because of this, but unfortunately I decided to give another chance and I already regretted.
I should had chosen to drive a little more and go for another gym…

4. Need more squat racks (this is the only equipment that I had to wait for multiple times)

Highly recommend this facility! I am a recently retired senior who was looking for a place to increase my fitness level. I also visited another facility that would have been about 1/2 the price as LA Fitness using my senior discount. However, I chose LA Fitness primarily because of the superior customer service of everyone I met at this facility. I personally interacted with Paul (GM), Colton (AGM), and Chris (Fitness Director) who were all extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Chris spent over 1 1/2 hours with me to determine my goals, fitness level, explain some basic nutrition items and introduced me to functional fitness that included an introductory workout (kicked my rear!). I would not have received that at the other location. Also I would have to pay up front for a year to get that lowest price at the other location, and pay extra for group fitness which is included at LA Fitness. Jovan (Jo), Jaden, and the front desk staff are all also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I am always greeted with a smile and a warm “hello”. The facility is large, extremely clean and I feel has everything needed for a great workout without feeling crowded. The other location felt crowed and I had to sometimes wait to share equipment. The only thing I wish is that they might offer is a military or senior discount. But even without that the people who work here and the great facility tipped the scales for me to choose this location. Give ‘em a try!

90% of freeweight equipment is dirty , paded area where freeweight are located not sweeping or moping with disinfectant solutions, no janitor on staff disinfecting any viruses related issurs that can be transmitted from person to person. Trying to cancel my daughter’s memberships. Both off to college. I was told I could not cancel as they are “adult’s” - even though I pay for their memberships - was told by Andres on Sunday my daughters couldn’t come in as he was just a sales rep. Was told to come in Monday after 7 am. It’s not 8:48 am and I’m still waiting for a manager to show up. Waiting in my car for Cassandra to arrive at 9. This should not be so difficult. It's funny how complaints are usually about quitting. Did you join a gym to quit?
The staff is nice, always friendly. Smile at them, they will smile back. The clientele is great. It's a supportive, synergistic atmosphere. The locker room is spacious and clean. The equipment is solid and there is plenty of it. And the place is clean. The head trainer is the sweetest lady, she likes going around giving fist bumps.

Beware of THEFT!! While working out somebody cut the lock off my locker, took my car keys, went to the parking lot and stole my wallet and hand gun from my car. Car keys left sitting on my drivers seat.... they then proceeded to drain my checking account. Meanwhile, the front desk is completely empty, all of the employees congregating and socializing in the day care room allowing criminals to walk in unchecked. Lots of different machines for any workout styles you’re into. The gym is well furnished and taken care of and has a large variety of other options including swimming, basketball, yoga, and cycling! The staff is always friendly and they work well together making the environment enjoyable and even nice to have conversations with when there’s an opportunity. Another important piece many tend to wonder is the demographic. This gym has probably the widest variety of people of all ages and fitness levels making this gym great for anyone to go and not feel like an anomaly. The fitness trainers are also knowledgeable and are often booked because they do a great job with helping others achieve their goals both in workouts and diets. I always look forward to coming here because of these factors and in turn it’s kept me in great shape!

My go to gym. Plenty of equipment and it's all in good order.
Eric is usually there in the mornings and is always friendly and greets everyone.
The only thing that really bugs me is the speaker above the door that BLARES music as you go in and out.

Personal training department is the absolute worst. Previous head trainer, Brandon, and current head trainer, John lied multiple times to us on making changes to our training regimens (times of weeks/cost). Do NOT go with their personal training packages. Terrible.

I have read some of the reviews saying that the NRH facility could be cleaner I go early in the morning and also in the evening , what I have noticed is that it's not the staff that makes the facility unclean but rather the clientele, I also go to Lifetime and Planet Fitness and people tend to clean the equipment they were using, 80% of the clientele @ L.A never clean their impurities off of the equipment they use and it's absolutely disgusting the staff is not there to be a towel boy so I recommend that if you go there wear gloves and a cleaning towel as I do.

Over the past 15 years I’ve been a member of 4 different gyms, privately owned and chains. This gym is by far my favorite. It’s clean and well maintained, better than many gyms, but without people like Hunter E. (Member services manager), it would be a run of the mill gym. He’s there to greet everyone and keeps busy making sure everything is as it should be for members. Because a gym is only as good as those who work there, I have to say it’s great to see someone who takes pride in his job. Well done Hunter.

We had a membership at a local Rec center and were checking into other local gyms to get a feel of a less family type of gym. We went in on a whim to get pricing. I have never been pushed and almost forced into buying a membership ever before as I did here. I seriously felt like I wasn’t getting out of there with out signing up. I was for real considering running out the door because I almost had no other choice. I had to be rude and put my foot down that I was only interested in trying the 4 day membership that they advertised before signing up. He asked if I wanted a call in 3 days to remind me to sign up, I said NO, that I knew where to go and what to do IF I decided that the gym was right for us. Of course I still got an annoying call from the same guy and I will never step foot near this place again. They are pushy, over the top, manipulating and harassing. And also, two of my friends signed up here and always complain that a lot of their equipment remained broken and “out of order” for very long periods of time. Maybe this was just a bad experience for me but I cannot stop thinking about how unprofessional and pushy my experience was.

LA Fitness in NRH is definitely one of the nicer, newer clubs (normally g2 7th street [busy] or Ridgmar [dirty bathrooms]). Only downfall, there is no sauna at this location :(

This is the best facility I have been to in the chain. The sewage only came up through the sinks once. The only negative is the trainers. You get better fitness knowledge from a pimply 16 year old on YouTube than these people. Just don't hire a trainer.

The Euless Club is the dirtiest club I have ever been to. Hire more cleaning help ASAP before your members start getting Staff infections. Green and red algae in the water fountains that has been there for weeks if not months. Suggest handing all your sales and training staff a bottle of bleach and a rag to start wiping when they aint selling.

They seem to only have 1 person who cleans. She looks to always be doing her best, but this place is just too big for 1 person to manage alone.

There is hair/ dirt under machines, many of the pads on machines are greasy or cracking. Many of the free weight bars and extensions for cables are black and caked on with filth.

When equipment (or the drinking fountain) breaks, it takes almost a month to repair it.

This is my LA fitness club of choice in the metroplex. This is a new club. Very nice, clean facility with friendly staff. I like the single floor layout.

New facility with new equipment is great. But I got a membership so that I could bring my 3 year old daughter to the kids club and she REFUSES to go in there. The kids club at this location should be renamed the kids closet. It’s a tiny shut off room with no windows or toys and the employees sit in a corner on their phone the entire time. After what we paid for my daughter and my membership I’m extremely disappointed. Luckily the Keller location isn’t much farther and their kids club is amazing.
