Most members are there to socialize. A couple were standing behind me while I was trying to workout and all they did was talk. I turned to ask them to lower their voices and they got angry at me and told me to mind my business. I then went to find a manager and was told they did not have a manager there. Very rude when your trying to concentrate on your exercise.

I wish I can give them 0 reviews but I couldn’t I used to go to this gym since 2022 , the staff were so nice and my favourite was Ismael. Recently the new staff has been so rude and mean . I had incident with lady that works there that was just mean and rude and everytime I said something she said what . Today was worst , the male staff was so rude to me , forget the fact that he can not smile at the customers but when I walked in I gave him my phone number to check me since they can’t figure out previously how to get my code to scan to enter the gym . Anyway he asked rudely for my phone number so I told him several times and he kept saying what then even the last two numbers I said 33 so many times and he kept saying 3 what. I told him how many times I have to say my phone number then he gave me attitude and got mean to me and said do not give me attitude , talk in a nicer way something like that but he said it in a mean tone like I am nothing . I was not giving him attitude I felt racism against me due to my thick accent . Then he told me in a mean way and horrible facial expression go like inside the gym , I wish I can show his facial expression . I was so mad to the point I could not even workout and I went to the front and I told him I will file complain . This never happened to me before . I know from previous work that we always have to be nice to customers but he wasn’t he spoke to me in horrible way . When I told him I will file claim he said there are cameras that can see what happened and I told him I will cancel he said I will cancel it for you now then he got scared of the complain and apologized when it was too late . It is so sad that because of this rude staff I will have to cancel my membership of over three years and find a new gym because I can not see how after how bad he spoke to me . Please hire nicer staff .

It's okay. The staff is hit or miss.Sometimes they'll greet you when you enter other times they'll be in a corner looking at their phones. The equipment is great. You just have to be mindful of the time you go to avoid overcrowding. Also, there are many times when you'll go and there will be no wipes to wipe down your station. And there are just some people who don't rerack their weights, which is pretty selfish.But I guess that's at any gym. The bathroom in locker room hardly ever have paper towels. There is no sauna at this location. So overall it's just okay.

Where do I even begin?
From the moment I arrived, the experience was nothing short of perplexing and uncomfortable. My intention was simple: to get a workout in. But the limited equipment, discourteous management, and frankly bizarre atmosphere made it a challenge from the start.

Upon entering the locker room, I immediately noticed a female employee inside—something I found highly unusual since there were no signs indicating the locker room was closed. Assuming I was in the wrong place, I quickly exited, only to realize I was indeed in the correct locker room. To make matters worse, she wasn’t performing any cleaning duties; instead, she was engaged in a loud conversation right in the shower and bathroom area. This was one of the most awkward and unsettling moments I’ve experienced at a gym, especially when all I wanted was to change and use the restroom.

Moving on to my workout, I decided to film a portion of my set for personal reference. As soon as I set up my tripod, I was immediately told recording was not allowed. I respected the policy, assured her I would put my equipment away, yet her tone was persistently rude and unnecessarily confrontational. Despite my compliance, she repeatedly interrupted me, even as I was performing weighted pull-ups—with heavy weights dangling from my body—insisting I stop before I could safely remove my equipment. This not only prolonged the interaction but also felt quite unsafe and unprofessional.

To top it all off, the gym itself is very small and severely lacking in equipment compared to standard facilities like LA Fitness.

Overall, I cannot recommend this gym due to the uncomfortable environment, limited resources, and unprofessional staff conduct.

I never have an issue with the people here and they are always friendly. My issue is with the cost for what you get. Very few leg machines, no decline bench for Smith machine and the equipment hasn't been updated since i was a member in 2015. Rooms are unused where they could add more equipment. Bathrooms have the space to add a sauna like other gyms. The cost is also almost twice the amount of other larger gyms, in the area, that offer way more, better equipment, 24 hour access, tanning, red light, massage and more. It's just not worth it anymore and I'll be moving to permanently use Club4 and EOS when it opens. LA Fitness is going to end up like the other gyms who run things like this and go out of business if they don't keep up with the times. It's not about making their customers happy anymore.

I like the gym the building and staff. But the people idk. First day back to the gym brought my daughter to the kids area. Put my bag in a locker. Thankfully my car keys, EarPods, nor phone nor Apple Watch was in it. Just a blanket and a water cup for my daughter. Came back 10mins later from my workout and the bag was gone.
Jokes on them.

Moral of the story don’t leave your stuff without a lock in the lockers.

And also staff said nothing about the incident and said nothing and did nothing so I guess it’s pretty common at the location. He was like whatever about it didn’t believe I even walked in with a green bag. But it’s whatever.

What a disappointment with the people who work at this location. Very poor customer service. There was a membership issue for my Husband that could have been solved right there on site. Instead of providing good customer the short stocky guy told me there had been several issues with my Husbands membership. The tone was as if we were trying to get something we had not paid for (my account is debited monthly for the membership). Then a female worker chimed in when my Husband mentioned this and said very rudely...nooooo this is being paid for by United Healthcare. We don't have any affiliation or association with United Healthcare...what is she talking about??? We ultimately hade to get Active and Fit AND LA Fitness Corporate involved. The crew at this location is more interested in their personal workouts and chatting with each other than doing their jobs. Super sad...the whole front deck crew should be replaced.

Clean, helpful, and great place to work out. JOEY and DEBBIE are the ABSOLUTE BEST people. I love coming because they are so uplifting.

UPDATE: Joey left, internal drama... Since he's left, the atmosphere has changed. Nobody smiles, new manager sits on her phone the whole time. Only reason I'm still going is because of Debbie... Super depressing and honestly considering looking somewhere else.

Manager lied and tricked me into membership. I was not aware of that for very long time and just realized that everything I was told was a lie. Lied about the perks come with membership and also about the cancellation policy. Now they say nothing is refundable. I lost the money for 2 years of contract I’m not going to use. So please please be careful. Scams can happen anywhere. Even at places like this.

CJ was the guy who tricked me into this. If someone else faced the same thing why don’t we get together and talk to the management or attorney and sue them. Because this is not acceptable at all. Why should we pay for the lies CJ told us.

We recently visited the LA Fitness location on 78 to reactivate our old account. My spouse had already been there once before, but unfortunately came back without any resolution. This time, we went together and ended up spending 20 minutes just waiting to speak with the person in charge. During that time, we received no updates or communication—we were simply left waiting.

When we returned to the front desk, we told the staff that the least they could do was keep us informed. If you’re going to staff your front office with people, they should either be trained to solve customer issues or at the very least know how to communicate respectfully and appropriately with members.

Unfortunately, this kind of service is simply not acceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.

I’ve been a paying member at LA Fitness, spending over $230 a month, and I’m beyond disappointed with the way this place is run — especially the management and operational staff handling member services.

On top of that, management is extremely unresponsive. I received conflicting information about freezing my account, leading to even more frustration and wasted money. For a facility charging premium rates, the service is shockingly poor. They don’t even have basic, accurate equipment for weighing — something that should be standard at a fitness center.

To make matters worse, they flat-out refused to offer any kind of credit or compensation for the sessions I lost due to their misconduct. There’s zero accountability or willingness to make things right for members.

The only reason I’m still holding on to my membership is because of the convenience of the location. But trust me, if another gym opens nearby, I’ll be the first to switch. LA Fitness needs to seriously evaluate who they’re putting in charge and how they treat paying members. We deserve much better.

Terrible experience with the sign-up process.
I already had an account, and my husband wanted to join under the family membership.
He was given completely incorrect information about the fees.
We only discovered the actual charges after noticing unexpected fees on our bank statement.

The General Manager was rude and not helpful and simply stated that the new staff member wasn’t properly trained, which is why the information was miscommunicated.
She didn’t offer any resolution other than canceling the membership — which would mean losing the initiation fee, annual fee, and other charges already paid.

Literally SOOOO dirty all the time… never even seen someone actively cleaning here and I’m here 5x a week at different times. The people here are extremely rude. I can’t even do Pilates in a corner without being asked to leave the studio when there’s only three people taking her class anyway. I don't really write any reviews but this is just wild. We were offered a prepaied yearly plan of 671.33 under my wife's name and I would just come in as her guest as long as we are togther. This ultimately led us decide to join LA Fitness over its competitors. We have been happily going to the gym together since then until we were stoped by the so called new manager today. When I asked about the previous guys they stimply said they dont' work here anymore. New management insisted that we didn't have a guest privillege on our contract so I won't be able to work out. Yes, my wife did sign the contract, but it was never explained to us in any type of way. I believe 99% of people who go to a gym to purchase a membership base their decision off the infromation proviede by the sale/employee, not by reading every word on a 5 page contract. I have been going there as a guest of my wife for the past half a year. I don't care if it's a employee issue, a management issue or someone's personally ethical issue. My trainer guides me through a variety of exercises. She mixes it up to make sure I'm exercising my muscle groups in different ways. My goal is muscle frosty but I've also started losing around my waist. The staff is friendly also. The people who go there have been friendly too. If you want a racquetball court, go to the Rowlett location.

Very nice gym and staff. Gym is well maintained and has no visible dust in sight. Gym is very spacious as you would expect LA Fitness to be. Has lots of weights, swimming pool and a basketball court. First of all CJ was the person who helped me and he was very nice and I THOUGHT he was honest but he’s an absolute liar and very rude when it comes to anything you need help with to understand.
I signed up for me and my girlfriend on 10/24/2024 and everything went smooth and great and we paid 208$ for a family plan plus first sign up bonus no biggie got it done and was told by CJ we won’t have ANY payments for the next 2 months after sign up and then you guessed 2 weeks later i get charged a “ annual fee “ of 130$!!! And i asked about it and CJ said he put in a request to refund me but was rude about it the more i asked him on updates and after that exactly a month after my sign up date i get charged 65$ for a monthly fee after being told there would be NO payments for the next 2 months! Wished I would have read the reviews, the place is nice and no machine issues, but random charges keep popping up on my card. There is a 230.00 signup fee, then 130.00 annual fee plus a monthly fee of 60.00 for me and my daughter. So the first month I was told would only be 230.00 but actually cost me 420.00.

This is the first negative review I've ever given a company. I'd actually give zero stars if I could. Upon activating my membership, the associate told me he was adding my wife at no additional charge. Several months later when I took my wife with me, she was not in the system. No big deal, I'll be happy to pay. I'll just add her and upgrade to the family plan. When I tried to do this, a different associate told me she would have to be added as a single person membership at full price and that family plans are only offered to new customers. When I asked "where is the gentleman that signed me up?" I was told he was fired for doing this. Everyone had an opportunity to make it right, but no one offered. All they had to do was give me a family plan as an existing customer. I cancelled and went down the road to Fitness Express where I was treated much better and got a better deal. Customer service is lost skill with the younger generation these days.

Walked into the daycare to find my toddler with a large poop smear on his shirt. His breath also wreaked of it. Neither girls noticed this happen nor did they even see the huge stain on his shirt.

The worst part is that his diaper was CLEAN. It was another child’s poop. We had to pay for a visit to the pediatrician and my son was sick for two days after.

Blows my mind that this type of thing can happen in a 55 min session and TWO daycare workers not even notice. There were only 3-5 children there.

Been member with this facility for over years with in and out because they keep messing up my account and billing. I rejoined this gym back in Dec 2023 bringing additional family members, one of their sales manager name Josh screwed up my whole family membership with lies and falsifying on legal agreement. I paid my individual dues up front for the whole year and he put in the membership expiration for only four months. The communication was so bad that even after explaining that I am bringing 6 family members he did not enroll my youngest son. I have been back and forth going over this for months to fix my membership Daniel and CJ, I ended up paying additional membership enrollment and fee along with false promises to fix my membership giving the fact that they believe in “Black and white” and what was on agreement they could only extend by two months, I ended canceling my wife membership and have almost paid $ more than $700 in last 4 months with membership dues and enrollment fees.

This has left really bad taste in my mouth leaving me no option to make a choice and cancel my membership

Their STAFF is unprofessional, never follow up, put my on hold for 20 minutes to discuss this with their sales territory manager.

This one star review is a compliment they don't deserve. This organization is poorly run from upper management. I signed up for a gym membership and met with a personal trainer manager Charles that sold me on the system of personal training. I was so excited to get started and had faith in what Charles sold me, I paid 6 months of personal training up front. This was over $1200. When I attempted to schedule my first workout I found out that the trainer I was sold on was not available for the times I needed and was switched to a trainer that was just moved up from large classes to personal training because they were short handed. This was explained to me by Charles.I made two sessions with my trainer and was just not feeling the connection and expressed my concerns to John Clark which did nothing but put all the blame back on me and continue to sell me and never listen to my complaints for the gym and program, they did nothing wrong in his opinion. On my third visit I found out they cleaned house of all the employees that I had built my relationship with when I set up my membership. The ones I felt like I could trust to deliver what I was sold. At this point I had lost faith in this gym and management. I was so dissatisfied that I reached out to Mr Clark to the same tune , they are a money hungry lying understaffed organization that doesn't care about you. They only care about ripping you off.I still have not received any refunds for the unused services and don't believe I'll see any of it back. I started coming with a friend to try out the gym and quickly got my own since it was so good! I really enjoy going to classes lead by Lou such as Tuesday night full body workout and Saturday Morning Boot Camp! Lou is a great motivator and instructor! I wish he taught a class Thursdays or Fridays at 4pm or 5pm! Even when I am not taking Lou's classes I still come and workout in the gym and swimming is a plus!

I visited LA Fitness Sachse today with a confirmed free guest pass for a 3-day trial. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was denied access to the gym unless I signed up, a requirement not mentioned on their website.

The staff member, Joseph Gallow, insisted on signing me up before allowing me to try out the facilities. This approach felt unprofessional and poorly handled. Transparency is key, and it’s disheartening that such important information isn’t communicated clearly to potential visitors.

I believe LA Fitness should update their website to reflect this policy, ensuring customers are aware of the sign-up requirement for free trials. This would save time and prevent frustration for both customers and staff.

Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I cannot recommend LA Fitness Sachse based on this encounter. I hope this review helps others make more informed decisions about their fitness choices.

I am revising an earlier review. This gym is still pricier than much of the competition with similar amenities, but they do include classes that can add value and offset the costs. They remain undersized and overcrowded and badly in need of an expansion in their weight area. Despite this, they have managed to hire and retain an excellent staff who do a great job maintaining and operating the facility. If this location is convenient for you, I would recommend overall.

LA Fitness Sachse is one of the best gyms I’ve been a member of. The customer service is top notch. Ish, the gentleman at the front desk during evening hours, always greets me with a smile and remembers my name, as well as always saying bye before I leave. Just an overall polite and respectful person. I had a question about my membership and Joey and Daniel took care of it. They were informative, kind, and very helpful.

As far as the gym goes, it’s amazing. Not that crowded even during peak hours. Locker rooms and equipment are clean, and gym goers are respectful towards each other. People actually re-rack weights properly. No big groups hogging up a machine. It’s a busy adults dream come true if they just want to get in an efficient workout after a long work day.

Highly recommend LA Fitness Sachse.

I enjoyed being greeted by Ish at the front desk. He always has a friendly smile and is eager to answer any questions I may have. Additionally, the yoga instructor, Tiffany Velasquez, is awesome. She teaches in Sunday morning and Wednesday and Thursday evening. The gym is clean.

Best la fitness location imo compared to other laf locations. I prefer this place because me and my gym bestie never feel heavily gawked at and feel safe and unbothered to do our workouts every time. I've recently hit day 50 over 3-4 months of working out and never once felt any icky vibes. Of course there'll still be some glances but it feels more like going to the grocery store or a shopping outlet than being very very uncomfortable doing our workouts. Sufficiently clean, and we always are greeted by the same friendly staff.

There have been a couple times where the ac went down so we did have to go to a plano location but otherwise the ac is great most of the time.

Highly recommend for all my fellow Wylie and sachse residents!! Gyms intimidate me so much....and it had been YEARS since I've been a member of a gym. Was just passing by and decided to just stop and take a look...and folks am I so glad I did....
