Let me tell you about John the sales rep- John does not know how to answer the most basic questions and deceptively gives false information. He said over the phone to come in for an activation of a guest pass, then attempts to sell me a day pass. In addition, over the phone he is still trying to sell me a day pass even though I am inquiring about the membership for the regen therapy which has nothing to do with a day pass😂🤦🏻‍♀️ If the company is doing a special for who sells the most amount of day pass to the clients let me say John the sales rep, is not the most tactful person despite his effort to appear competent

My husband and I came yesterday to get a tour of the gym and pricing, the lady that helped us was super friendly and kind. Today at 5 this morning we came in to do the free pass to try out the gym and this lady (whose picture I will be posting) was so RUDE to us. First of all when we came in she didn’t even acknowledge us because she was so stuck in her phone. When she looked up she says “You have to scan to get in” I hold her we have guest passes and she said I need your bar code from the email but RUDELY. I told her I never received it and again with an attitude she says well I can’t let you in without that. Understandable but the attitude is not called for. My husband was able to find it and when he was telling her he has it and he was ready she rudely told him, I need to help the other members first when all they did was scan and go she didn’t even have to say anything to them she just pushed us to the side! People like her shouldn’t be working there if she’s gonna have a nasty attitude. I work in customer service and it boils me up when people are rude to you FOR NO REASON AT ALL!!

It was nice & clean. It’s a small boutique gym, so not as many machines and it feels crammed. The Cryo area is a waste of space no one uses it because no one wants to pay the separate amenity fee of $150 additional per person. No sauna, so sad. Also this place just opened in April and it’s now September and the leg curl already looks torn up. This place is going downhill fast.

Like a lot of folks, really wanted to like this gym. TERRRRRRIBLE customer service, main reason I only used this place for legit a MONTH. Rude front desk, girls especially. The location is nice and convenient, but they have terrible wipes, dirty equipment, and locked weights? The machinery is definitely too close together and lacking, too. It's also kinda concerning they'd build this nice new LA, but no plans of renovation at the several other locations that are SEVERELY lacking compared to this one.

I really wanted to love this gym, but I don’t. Starting with the kids working the front desk. No hello, no welcome, they don’t even look at you. Then the gym, it’s too crowded. Doesn’t matter time of day. The equipment is so close together, it’s claustrophobic. Danielle in glutes class is only reason why I’ve gone past my 1 month. But at $150, I’ll go elsewhere. And again, no bye thank you when you leave. I use to have a membership at PF $20 bucks a month and was always greets when arriving and leaving. It’s a simple gesture but goes a long way.

New clean “nice” gym. You pay more for less here. Its Small. Not many machines. Just one of ea. No sauna. Not a fan of bumper plates. Crossfit area is usually roped off and the weights there are locked. Any of the classes is an extra 100 a month. The “recovery” area is 150 extra a month. Did i mention no sauna and No hot tub. They do not accept active and fit program from your insurance even though its the same premium price of $40 a month. They ask for a 99 enrollment and some other $60 fee. So a total of $200 for that first month.

The gym is nice but the Nike bumper plates they have are trash. They're imbalanced (they spin on their own when put on a bar), hard to read and tell apart, too big to fit in their labeled spots on the benches, and too thick to load up some machines with. Staff are not friendly nor helpful. They made multiple mistakes when setting up my new membership. Mistakes happen so I was happy to simply have them fix it, which they did. Then I went to use my membership and was informed it was set up incorrectly however they were not able to fix the problem because the promotion which they originally offered was no longer available. I pushed back and the person whom I can only assume was the manager was not helpful at all, spoke down at me. I insisted the mistake was made on their behalf so they should take responsibility in fixing it. I've been told they will "try" to fix the issue (which very much sounded like "we make no guarantees"). The management also threw his staff under the bus by pointing the finger at who made the mistake and stated the person didn't know much about their systems. Please provide leadership skill training, customer service training to your staff - at all levels. The staff's interaction with customers is very poor, and your staff also lack the ability to solve problems.

I was excited to try the new location and was considering some of the premium ammenities. The LA Fitness app shows that some classes have a fee, but the class I was interested in today did not indicate an extra charge. When I scanned my card, one of the attendents at the check in desk made a face, then the other attendant asked if my membship was through my insurance or another third party. I replied 'Yes' and she told me that unfortunately my membership is not accepted there because of their premium ammenities. I replied that it might be helpful to note that on the website or app somewhere. She replied that it was 'pretty well known' and they have been getting the word out to insurance companies. I nicely told her that I don't use my insurance company app, I use the LA Fitness app and it would be helpful if the LA fitness app indicated that third party memberships are not accepted. She then offered that I could get a free 3 day pass if I fill out a form on the website. WOW... why not lead with that offer?! Again... I entered the new location wanting to try some of the premium ammenities and knowing there would be an extra fee. But after being made to feel unwelcome, being insulted, then being ignored, I will look for 'premium ammenities' at a club where I am welcomed as a potential client.

I really enjoy this gym. Have been going since the 2nd day it opened and it's the best commercial gym in SA. Never too busy can always find a rack or bench. The locker rooms are clean. Cardio machines work well. The Torque Assault Bikes are excellent quality. Lots of people complaining about no sauna but is a non-issue if you are focused on strength training, cardio, or HIIT to get a good workout.

The only improvement I have is please provide additional heavier kettlebells in the public "turf" area. The heaviest one is 35 lbs, we need 50s, 60s, 70s. Thank you Mr. Owner.

I have been waiting for such a long time for this location to open only to be highly disappointed. I was able to check-in and work out here a couple times. Then when I went today, I was turned away because I have a membership through my insurance BCBS, I was not welcome at this location. I pay a premium for my membership too which costs just as much as their membership fee.

This makes no sense to me. I have been going to several different LA Fitness locations without issue. The others are all larger and have better amenities. The lockers smell like mildew, there is nowhere to put your towel for the pool, no hot tub, no sauna, no hot water in the showers. There is a glute studio with a sign that says it isn't available. The recovery Rezen area isn't open until 8 am which is incredibly inconvenient for those like me who go in before work. To top it off, that area is an additional charge. I would have happily paid an additional fee to use it had it been available. Then the gym closes at 8 pm on the weekend. Seriously? The Kids Klub isn't even available. So what exactly makes this a top tier facility? Is it the lack of common sense? Towels are something people tend to use for a pool and most people prefer to have a place to put their towel. The only reason I went to this location was because it is close to my home.

I love this gym! I live very close and this location works perfectly with my daily schedule. The facility is all brand new great equipment and lots of machines. Yes this is not the standard LA fitness gym and it is a higher tier but if you want that specialized experience where the team recognizes you and greets you when you come to get your workout in this is the place for you. John the general manager and the Lovely Mallory helped my husband and I get a membership that worked best for our lifestyle, the studio type classes and the recovery room are an up charge but with that being said if I wanted those type of extras I would be paying double somewhere else, this LA fitness is by far the best one I’ve been to and I will continue supporting it!

La Fitness Braun is my new favorite gym to go to, as well as my main gym now. The equipment is super nice, the space in the gym is nice so even when it’s busy it doesn’t seem like there’s that many members in there because of how spacious it is. The front desk staff is also so nice, and welcoming. My boyfriend and I talk to them everytime we come in, and they’re all just great people. The new LA Fitness Braun location is a huge step up—modern, spacious, and packed with high-quality equipment like Nike plates, Rogue power racks, and plenty of dumbbells, benches, and cables, making it easy to get a workout in even during peak hours.

I would rate this establishment with zero stars if that were an option. I initially scheduled an appointment to visit the gym; however, I had to cancel due to car issues. On a subsequent occasion, when I was in the vicinity, I attempted to drop in and request a tour of the facility. I was informed that I could not proceed without the presence of a trainer or another staff member, although the individual did not clarify who this might be. The interaction was discourteous throughout. I am fully capable of navigating gym equipment on my own and would have appreciated the opportunity to explore the space. The staff member exhibited judgmental and rather arrogant behavior. Consequently, I have decided against enrolling at this gym. Despite my initial enthusiasm, I will pursue other options for my fitness needs.

This location does not permit Active and Fit users, (Program offered by HEB), or other health insurance programs. The hostess stated this was due to this location being a higher tier LA Fitness and being privately owned. There is no sauna, citing liability issues and repair costs. (Understandable) There is a pool, I did not see a jacuzzi. (Didn't ask if there was one on site). The facility does offer cryo treatments based on technician availability. Went to the new gym a week after and got in through my partner who has a membership who can also bring guests, loved the gym and the machines were so nice and moved smoothly. There’s a lack of new innovative machines you think a new gym would have and just missing some of the best token machines that other locations have. New gym and professional front desk employee, so hence the 2 stars as opposed to 1. This particular LA Fitness doesn't accept some of the biggest San Antonio employer wellness gym membership passes that other LA Fitness gyms in San Antonio take. Nothing really special about this gym, cookie cutter equipment. I'll avoid this gym in the future and recommend any other gym enthusiast do the same unless you live close by..

I currently drive over 20 minutes to work out at the LA Fitness in Leon Valley. I live 5 min from this location. I watched it being built for months and the opening delayed over and over. But I waited patiently in excitement. Showed up on opening day ready to work out and check out the new gym. Manager scanned my LA Fitness app and it checked me in- only to be told I'm not allowed at this location because my LA Fitness membership is through my health insurance. My health insurance reimburses the company for my membership. I'm allowed at every other LA Fitness location nationwide, but not this one. Manager immediately tried to get me to buy another LA Fitness membership just so I could work out at this one gym. In other words, drop over $200 to buy a second membership to a gym I already have a membership at that my health insurance reimburses them for. I understand not letting me in if I had a gym pass/membership that only covers one LA Fitness Location (everyone with this type of pass would just switch over to this location and overcrowd it) , but if I have nationwide access how can you deny entry to one single location in the nation?!? It's not even a signature club. If I had purchased my nationwide pass with cash I would be let in, but since my health insurance covered it, it suddenly isn't valid? Makes 0 sense. Like I said, the manager was able to scan my membership and it shows that I checked in at this location on my LA Fitness app. Seems like a scam to try and get people to buy a second membership to a gym they already have a membership at.

I couldn’t access the gym with my plan even though it includes all La fitness gyms nationwide because it is based on insurance (I upgraded and pay additional money to include signature clubs). The app doesn’t say this, only that certain amenities such as classes may cost extra.

Love the new LA Fitness gym. Everything is obviously new, lots of weights and cardio machines!! Looks like they will have pilates classes, cycling classes also and they have a room to work on glutes. Overall, love everything. Would recommend more cleaning wipes near the treadmills.
