Love my community at The Lakes Tennis Academy! Moved to Frisco area during Covid and started coming here with my sister for Oscar’s Friday morning drill and felt so welcomed…had so much fun despite just beginning tennis! Was positively encouraged and coached well over the past 4 years by Oscar,David, Chuck, Issac, Matt, Greg, and a few more! Now my husband and kids, my parents, and my siblings all come here! Can’t say enough good things about the people here…from the maintenance guys to the front desk staff…and the good friends I have made through tennis! If you are beginning or haven’t picked up a racket in years…this is the best place to go!

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a tennis academy for your children. My daughter had a great time learning tennis here, as the staff are truly processional and kind, and the facility itself is very nice too.

My family has been at Lakes Tennis since 2017 and we love everyone here! The court are nicely managed and a real benefit is having court lights so tennis is open later than some places. We mainly do private lessons with Coach Lauren but the junior program is also amazing. Overall I love the tennis family here!

Love to stop at the blue door boutique for gifts and sometimes something for myself! The girls that work at the boutique are helpful with ideas and gift wrapping if needed.

Great tennis program and wonderful coaches. Slightly pricy and the indoor facility requires updates.

Both of our daughters attended the full time program at Lakes Tennis Academy for 5 years. As parents, we couldn't have imagined a better place for the girls to train and develop on and off the court. We are very thankful for the staff and coaches at Lakes Tennis Academy, they are a huge part of both girls success on and off the court.

We feel so blessed to have found the Lake’s! Both my son and daughter are thriving, and we have officially become a tennis family. The coaches and staff have been above and beyond in setting the kids up for success. Along with fantastic tennis coaching, there is a huge emphasis on not just excellence with tennis skills, but also life skills on and off the court. Grateful!

Pros:
1) Good Location
2) Good Facility - lots of courts available

Cons:
1) Not the best Value: Shop around before you make a decision (Many awesome programs in the locality).
2) Lack of Structure: No clarity on progression path. Kids are often placed in groups below their level.
3) "Pros" are teenagers (our family and friends have gone to so many drills over the years and have never had a teenager run a drill, even for kids).
4) Lack of learning and growing attitude: Coach in general is arrogant. Teenagers running the drills are not, but they do not know how to teach or identify learning moments. Pay attention to the other negative reviews on here (I wish I did before joining my child here).

Overall, if you are considering proper professional coaching for your child, you will be paying higher than market rate, for sub standard quality in an environment lacking growth.

Neighborhood HOA makes us pay for this, which is a scam with no opt-out. The front office is completely rude and incompetent, administratively and financially - no one knows what's going on. Unprofessional and not even Texas "polite" - if you are a Dilbert who loves being talked down to, you'll love this place.

Great place to play tennis. Excellent coaches and kids program. Plenty of events. We’ll maintained. Have met lots of new friends. Only drawback is that it is so popular that it is sometimes hard to reserve a court.

I am not a member nor much of a tennis enthusiast. I have been here a week doing some remediation. But all the staff are overtly kind and friendly. There is 8 to 10 tennis courts, a gym which provides cross training as well, and a decent sized pool and hot tub. There are multiple restrooms 🚻 as well as lockers and showers. Wheel chair and handicap accessible throughout.
And finally a very lovely boutique of cloths and such.

The gift shop is awesome and the courts are in great condition. The ladies locker room needs work. It is extremely hot and humid at all times. The showers have no hot water and are freezing cold making it impossible to wash more than one body part at a time super fast. You will melt before attempting to do your hair or make-up which will also melt. Do not plan on taking a shower and getting ready there after playing tennis to go back to work. Woman's locker room fail.

I joined my kid few months ago 12 to 14 age. During play Matches coaches are relaxing, checking phone, sitting on benches, Kids playing them selfs, coaches not even commenting kids mistakes. This is unfair, not worth for that amount.

Never experienced such a worst Tennis coaching center. I would say this place is just to rent the courts and play for the pro players, not for getting the kids trained. Never seen more than 1 coach though various levels and age group of kids taking their lessons. Stopped going their after few classes though PAID for the whole session.

lakes is amazing, I’ve been going since I was 7 years old, and i can’t think of a single complaint about it. The coaches are great and have great relationships with us and I love it. We’re like a family and it’s a great facility too!
