I was first introduced to LALA Pilates when it was still Pilates Foundation of Texas, and have since worked with three instructors in the studio pre and post management change.
While every instructor has their own style and expertise, and change from familiarity can be frustrating especially when it comes to relying on someone to know the way your body moves, the quality of the studio remains outstanding. Iโve currently been working with Layne for about a year. And I have been nothing but impressed by her professionalism and keen awareness of how my body moves and the areas that need work.
Layne is not only encouraging and kind in her words and mannerism, but she pushes me well beyond what I would ever think possible for myself. She can see the tiniest muscle movements and correct on the spot. And she is always thinking of new cues or ways of imagining muscle movement so that Iโm able to make the mind-to-body connections necessary to move using the proper muscles. We often switch from one piece of equipment to another in the midst of one session in order to target certain muscles and help me understand a difficult concept.
Even though improvement can sometimes seem slow, I have seen myself grow and become able to control parts of my body in ways that I never could before.
Working with Layne is always a highlight of my week, and I always leave the session feeling refreshed and confident.
The studio remains chic, clean, and inviting. The decor and light music creates a nice ambience for a quality and focused workout. The equipment are all maintained well and kept very clean for every user. I enjoy and prefer the boutique and smaller environment and wouldnโt change anything.
I highly recommend Layne at LALA Pilates if you are looking for a customized and worthy investment in your health. She is outstanding!

Iโve been taking private lessons for quite a while now, and Layne is truly the best. Iโve been to several studios before, and there were times I felt heavy and reluctant to go. But with Layneโs sessions, I always found myself looking forward to them.
She has a great way of developing the lessons in a structured and detailed manner, which really helped me build confidence. I was surprised by how much I could do in such a short time! What took me over a year to achieve at other studios, I managed to do in just two months with Layne. Gaining that confidence made me excited for every single class.
The studio itself is bright, clean, and always organized. Some studios feel cold and clinical, almost like a rehab center, which made me tense up. But here, the warm and clean atmosphere feels like having a private instructor visit me at home.
Also, the other instructors are always friendly and greet you with a smile. Even when I happened to run into other members, it was easy to say hello and feel comfortable โ I think that warm vibe comes from the staff as well.
Despite the cozy atmosphere, Layne is also incredibly professional with her scheduling. She always starts and ends on time, which I really appreciate โ no overlap or delays that could disrupt my day. At other studios, I sometimes had to wait because instructors went overtime, and honestly, that wasnโt ideal.
Each 50-minute session with Layne is well-structured and purposeful. I never felt like we were just repeating the same things over and over โ every class brought something new and valuable.
And letโs talk about the pricing! I remember it being a bit expensive under the previous owner, which is why I had switched to semi-private lessons. But now, the pricing is much more reasonable, so Iโve been able to continue with private sessions, which I love.
All in all, I canโt recommend Layne and Lala Pilates enough. Theyโve been amazing in every way!

As a former member of Pilates Foundation of Texas and someone who has trained at several other studios across the DFW area, I'd like to share my perspective after reading a recent review.
Regarding the mention of moving equipmentโthis is actually a standard across many studios, including Club Pilates. In fact, I first learned this from Jessica and KJ - that it's part of learning how to use the apparatus with awareness and care, and it encourages a deeper understanding of the equipment and your own movement patterns.
On the topic of session timing, itโs also common practice across the industry for sessions to run 50 or so minutes, allowing instructors to stay on schedule for the next client. Being punctual and wrapping up on time ensures everyone gets the full value of their session without overlap. Iโve personally always appreciated that structure and respect for time.
Like many others, I felt the impact of the price increase when it was introduced. But after working consistently with Layne, Iโve come to see it as an investment in my health and well-being. She brings her full attention, care, and expertise to every session, and Iโve noticed real improvements in how I move and feel. To me, that level of personalization and progress is absolutely worth it.
I know we all experience things differently, and itโs okay to miss what was familiar. But Iโve found tremendous value in what the studio has evolved into, and I wanted to offer that viewpoint for anyone reading.

As a long-time client who misses the old Pilates Foundation under Jess management, I feel compelled to share my honest experience. This place has deteriorated significantly since Jess and KJ left, and I cannot recommend it anymore. While the instructors are friendly enough, their lack of professionalism is a glaring issue that overshadows any positive qualities.
Iโve completed sessions with Layne, and my friend has worked with Ann. Both are personable, but their unprofessional conduct is unacceptable. The workouts get the job done, but compared to other studios nearby, the sessions are slow, repetitive, and uninspired. Unless you explicitly demand variety, youโre stuck with the same monotonous routine, which makes every session feel like a waste of time. Itโs evident the instructors rely on pre-set plans and fail to address individual client needs.

The studioโs location in a corporate office building feels cold and clinical, more like a medical office than a Pilates space. The rooms are cramped, with three reformers and a Cadillac squeezed into one area and another small room nearby. If another client is booked at the same time, your โprivateโ session becomes awkward and crowded. To avoid this, youโre limited to one piece of equipment, which defeats the purpose of a versatile Pilates experience. This setup is a major drawback.

Layne and Ann may be kind, but their teaching lacks depth and customization. I've read other 5 star reviews praising them, which is understandable. However, I've been doing Pilates for way too long that I can see through all these. They might be good at Pilates. They show little understanding of how to tailor sessions to individual goals, leaving clients feeling underserved and frustrated.

The instructorsโ behavior is shockingly inappropriate. Drinking water or coffe during a session is acceptable while clients take a quick water break. However, teaching Pilates with a tumbler in hand, sipping iced-coffee while teaching is disrespectful and distracting. Worse, Layne expects clients to move equipment themselvesโa task Iโve never encountered at any other studio. This level of unprofessionalism is inexcusable.

Layne and Ann are rigid about time, ending sessions precisely at the 50-minute mark with no regard for flow. The workouts stop abruptly, leaving clients feeling cut off mid-session. Thereโs no effort to ease into a cooldown or provide a sense of closure. Even when their schedule allows, they never offer an extra few minutes, which makes clients feel undervalued. Since the new owner took over, any sense of care or commitment has vanished.

The new owner is practically invisible, appearing only once or twice in my time here. Her absence is a critical failure. She should be overseeing instructors and ensuring high standards, but instead, she allows unprofessional behavior like drinking coffee during sessions to go unchecked. This lack of leadership is deeply disappointing.

โ โ โ โโ Overpriced and Unjustified
The recent price increase is outrageous. The studio now charges a flat $110 for private sessions, eliminating the previous tiered pricing structure. Given the cramped space, lackluster instruction, and unprofessional atmosphere, this cost is indefensible. I paused my sessions for a while, and learning about this price hike confirmed my decision to stay away. Other studios offer far better value.
Final Thoughts: Look elsewhere.
Iโm genuinely disheartened by this studioโs decline, but I cannot ignore its shortcomings. There are more professional, engaging, and fairly priced Pilates studios nearby that prioritize their clients. This place is a shadow of what it once was, and I strongly advise others to avoid it. Save your time and moneyโyou deserve a studio that respects and values you.

I've been taking classes at LALA PILATES with Irene, and I can honestly say she's one of the best instructors I've ever met. She's a certified classical Pilates teacher, and you can really feel the difference in the quality and depth of her teaching. Irene is incredibly dedicated, attentive, and passionate about Pilates. Every session is challenging yet rewarding, and she always makes sure your form is correct to get the most out of each movement. Not only have I seen real progress in my strength, posture, and overall body awareness, but I've also noticed improved circulation in my lymphatic system. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Pilates!

I have suffered from hip and neck problems for a long time. During the pandemic, I also got a frozen shoulder on my right side. Not only the pain is intolerable and it affects my daily life too. My chiropractor helps me a lot in recovery. However, it's too hard to keep in shape due to my weak muscles. He suggested me to this Pilates place.
Just for 6 sessions of Pilates, my muscles and posture have improved a lot. I even got more strength and energy for my daily works. My instructor, Ann, is the best! She is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. She encourages me for those difficult exercises. Although some exercises are really tough, I enjoy the workout time a lot. It's not only regaining my health, it is a fun time for me!

I am 60 and have a multitude of injuries after a lifetime of sports and intense, heavy weightlifting. And - I was always skeptical of Pilates in general - until now! I have worked with both KJ and Audrey, and am completely sold on Pilates!
Audrey was my instructor today, and I was delighted with her skill, knowledge, patience and professionalism. I am a huge fan of this operation, and will forever be incorporating Pilates of Texas into my workout routines.

Yesterday I finished my 10th private session with my beloved instructor Audrey, and I canโt tell how grateful I am for her. Sheโs the instructor I would recommend to anyone whoโs interested in Pilates and donโt know where/how to start. Sheโs professional, and has attention to details.
Iโve been working out for 10 years but I still donโt know how to really activate my core muscle, balance my body, and use equal strength when doing exercises until I met her. Sheโs not only giving instructions to me during the session, but also shares many useful tips in my daily life to help me develop and maintain a better body posture.
Itโs only been 2 months since the first time I stepped in this studio. But I can tell how much progress Iโve made in my posture especially my neck and knees. Love it! Highly recommend!

I've started pilates because I wanted to improve my posture. Now it has been about little over half a year and I can really see the difference in the mirror. I can see my body is more toned and wfh, sitting down on a desk for a long time always hurt my back but I no longer feel any pain or discomfort! Let me start out by saying I LOVE Pilates Foundation. Everyone is super friendly, and the studio is organized and clean. I think everyone should do Pilates and the best way to do it I promise is through Pilates foundation. KJ is such an amazing instructor. He is so knowledgeable, patient and observant. Pilates without good form is not very effective and having an instructor like KJ (or any other instructor at the Foundation) to point it out as you do it can really help to make sure you are doing EFFECTIVE Pilates. Not just going through the motions... which you might end up doing at other studios. They helped me to realize why I have back pain and shoulder pain. In only two month my posture also improved greatly and now I know when my back or shoulder starts to hurt it is because I was in bad posture. Thanks to KJ I now know what correct posture is. You might think you know what the โcorrectโ posture is but you might be surprised. So if you are on the fenceโฆ take a chance and learn Pilates with the Pilates Foundation of Texas! It is so important to learn it properly at the beginning!! I feel that it is worth every penny with KJ or any other instructor there. It is a great investment for you body and your future older you will thank you!

I have been a client since two years ago. After my first born, my back was killing me and I needed some help! I came to this place as it was super close to my office, and within a few sessions, I was hooked. My back pain was gone after 2 months; and now I am back just 2 months after my second child. I would say this is not your typical pilates place, it is more of a therapy to me as well.

Before I decided a Pilates studio, I tried free sessions from other commercial studios. As soon as I tried the intro session with KJ, I knew this is the right place for me. The studio is clean, the atmosphere welcoming, the instructors are knowledgeable, kind and patient. I got much more detailed instructions and much more attention comparing with other commercial studios.

I had been interested in Pilates after hearing about how helpful it is for body alignment and functional movement from other friends and decided to give it a go for the first time. I have been taking private lessons with Audrey ever since, and she is truly amazing! She is sharp to notice even smallest changes at every lesson and quick to correct any bad habits or tendencies. She always makes sure that every movement is proper and safe - I feel like I have reconnected my body from head to toe in ways that I did not realize it was possible! Pilates is an exercise not only challenging but also helps your every day movement to become more functional. It's truely different from weight lifting or other exercises I have done before and has been a great addition to enhance other exercises that I enjoy. Even when we repeat similar movements, Audrey brings attention to additional details that I had not noticed before and always keeps it exciting and fun! Lessons here are the highlight of my week!

I started my pilates lessons with Audrey about a year ago because of my poor posture and back pain from WFH. Long story short- I love it! I love her attention to details and customized lesson plans in their always clean studio. All of the instructors are very friendly and eager to help you move and heal. I found this studio because I had gotten into a car accident and was looking for a massage therapist. KJ was incredibly helpful from client intake to the actual therapy sessions. He is knowledgeable and best-in-class in this field, and has helped me recover fully and quickly from my injuries. He also suggested that I take a look at Pilates as an ongoing exercise regimen, and recommended me to have the intro sessions package with Audrey.
Audrey is a phenomenal Pilates instructor for clients of all levels. She is attentive to your pain points and pushes you just enough for a great workout and stretch, but ensures to always put your safety and health first. Receiving private instruction from Audrey every week has been a highlight, and I look forward to continuing to gain better core strength, improve my posture, and develop a deeper appreciation for my body and the way it moves.

Before pilates, I had scoliosis and was bow legged. I also suffered from pelvic and shoulder pain. To my amazement, starting from the first few sessions at this studio, I could see a difference in my body; my scoliosis has improved and all my pelvic and shoulder pain has been healed. I have taken pilates classes at few different places in the past, but getting a private lesson here with Jessica was a whole new experience. I was able to truly feel, understand, and listen to my body and their movements, which also helped me to adjust and improve my posture during my daily lives. Pilates has become more than just an exercise for me. Both KJ and Jessica are professional, knowledgeable, and willing to help you. My husband and my mother also benefitted a lot from KJ through their physical therapy sessions with him. Highly recommend this place to anybody interested and you will not regret!

Loved this studio. I never done a Pilates before but the instructors explained every thing in detail. I was shaking the whole time but loved the burn in my arms, abs and legs. I left feeling refreshed and energized. I'll definitely be returning!
