OMG! From the beginning Shannon in concierge was amazing. She has a genuine smile and presented herself very professionally. Next, Kevin and Laura in the spa had such “glowing” personalities. I received a non-invasive microdermabrasion and added an additional service of a derma-plane facial! So worth the money and time spent at this facility and meeting such great human beings! Oh, and the facility itself is a 5/5 with all their available amenities. Highly recommended!!

What do you get for $200/mo? Not much. Far less than other clubs which is likely the reason Lifetime's local, premier facility achieves a low rating. Customer Service? Just listen while standing in line. Billing issues to say the least. Try to cancel the membership? Good luck. The hrs are limited especially on weekends which is the time most have free time and want to put in that long workout. The Met provides better facilities, a broader array of services, significantly better cuisine and much better hours. Reading Glass Door reviews provides additional insight.

For $250 a month, this gym falls far short of the “country club” experience it promises. Numerous issues I’ve raised with management have gone unresolved, met with either indifference or ineffectiveness.
There’s only one Precor elliptical—the industry standard—meaning members often have to wait while several treadmills and stairclimbers sit empty. Many hotel gyms offer more variety and equipment than this one.
The only water fountain on the main gym floor has been pumping out lukewarm water for months, with one excuse after another for why it hasn’t been fixed. Even simple requests, like changing a TV channel, are met with apathy.
I’ve been patient for months waiting for these issues to be addressed, but nothing changes. When traveling, I’ve used other Lifetime locations that are head and shoulders above this one. Unfortunately, Lifetime GreenStreet doesn’t live up to the brand’s reputation or the price tag.

It's OK, very small for $200+ a month. Constantly busy (even during what you would assume are off-peak times), the cardio machines face each other. WHO WANTS TO face people while doing cardio? IT feels like a larger hotel gym, nothing impressive. For what it is, it should be $99 a month to be honest.

My biggest complaint is that, while many other Life Time locations across the country — including in Houston — have multiple Precor ellipticals (the industry standard for ellipticals), this location stunningly has only one. Instead, there is an overabundance of stair climbers and treadmills, many of which sit unused. This forces members to wait for the single elliptical, while dozens of treadmills go untouched. It’s a stunningly poor decision on the part of whoever determined this equipment mix and creates an avoidable frustration for members who rely on ellipticals.

I appreciate many aspects of Lifetime, but I find the layout to be inconvenient—especially when accessing the strength training and muscle-building area. From the main entrance, you're required to go down a set of stairs, then up another set just to reach the area with the weights and heavy duty machines. When you're done, you repeat the process in reverse—downstairs and then upstairs again.
There is a door that leads directly to the equipment area, but it's not used as the primary access point. This indirect route not only adds unnecessary time to each visit but can also be a challenge for members who prefer to avoid stairs for mobility, health, or personal comfort reasons.
Additionally, the high-traffic route may be uncomfortable for those who value privacy and don’t wish to be seen by many on their way in and out.
Overall, the facility has its strengths, but I would love to see better accessibility and more consideration for the diverse preferences of its members.

This place is classic. The admission cost is worth every penny. What a marvelous gym.
2025 Update:
A marvelous gym.
The professional staff,
The members,
The architectural design of the facility.
A beautiful environment that contains a safe community.
Long ago, this space used to be a book store called “Books-A-Million”. When I was a teenager, I would drop in and get lost in all the categories. I find it fascinating to challenge the body at the same spot where there used to be a table; it was there that I learned Algebra. Walking up those stairs towards the weight room feels transcendental as my teenaged self used to take those same steps to go read.
Lifetime GreenStreet is transformative.
This location is highly recommended.
I am really grateful to have the opportunity to participate in its function. This place has truly changed my life.

Extremely disappointed in the customer service at this location across from the Spring Hills hotel. I am here across the street for 4 nights and wanted to see if I could get a pass. At first I was met by a blonde lady who was very kind and understanding. Soon after another lady came and cut her off from speaking and then went ahead and asked if I was a member to which I responded “no”. She then said I could pay $100 for 48 hrs or $50 for 24 hrs. I didn’t not expect to get a free pass but $50 for 24 hrs seems extreme. Half the price of membership for only 48 hrs is insane to ask of anyone.

It’s a nice gym—visually. The layout is a bit odd. I noticed there are no squat racks on the second floor, it’s only reserved for the first floor. You can use them only when there are no classes being held. That already holds some limitation to your membership. I don’t know the names of my machines but I do believe where the power rack (second floor next to the weights) and the other machine next to it—the mirrors should extend to cover those machines. I believe this is necessary for those that need to correct their form and to help improve it. I don’t use the cafe, spa, coffee bar or any of those amenities so I can’t say anything about those. I like the options of the classes. Take advantage of those. I do believe they missed an opportunity on not including a lap pool. It would of made the membership worth it. I guess people really wanted that workspace area. I hope it’s being utilized…
Other than that, it’s okay. Something definitely has to change to reflect the monthly membership—the value isn’t there yet.
Three years later, update:
The cleanliness has diminished. The sanitary stations sometimes lack wipes, and there are no paper towels available to dry surfaces after sanitizing. I understand that the sanitizing solution needs to sit for a while, but it’s still inconvenient. The front desk service varies depending on who is working—majority it hasn’t been great. While I don’t mind staff hanging around and conversing with one another, an acknowledgment would help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere(at the front desk). The floor of the shower areas are often filthy.
On the positive side, the gym has improved its equipment. They’ve added a whole cable area, which helps balance equipment usage and reduces wait times. I still haven’t used the café downstairs, so I can’t comment on that. The workout classes are still worthwhile (yoga, strength, mat pilates), I love that I can just look up the schedule on my app. For Alpha classes, they provide the schedules online, so you can plan your workouts around them and use the equipment on the first floor more effectively. I’ve used the salon area; it’s convenient, but I wouldn’t rely on it for all my haircuts
Lastly, I’m still bummed that this location doesn’t have a pool. I would like to see numbers on who is actually using the LifeTime Workspace because I feel that adding a lap pool would have made the membership much more valuable. Oh, I forgot to mention, I now drive to this gym since I moved buildings, and I’m happy about the parking validation. Overall, this gym is convenient in location but has room for improvement. I still give it a 3/5.

I love Lifetime as a brand, gym, company. I have visited over 15 LT gyms around the US, loved them all. Unfortunately, this gym falls short on nearly every level in my multiple times here. The lack of cleanliness, and strange attitude towards customer service (except the front staff) was awkward at best. The level of rudeness of the gym goers too, was a new floor in my low expectations of humankind... in every area of the gym, there was unfortunately a clear display of no consideration for others (locker room, gym floor, spa, sauna, steam, stairwell)... If you are in Houston and with a car, you should go to ANY other LT and have an immensely better experience.

I’ve had an incredible experience so far at this gym. Shannon, the front desk concierge, is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. She also somehow managed to greet me by name my second time walking into the gym. I’ve been to multiple lifetimes and she’s by far the most welcoming employee I’ve spoken with. I can tell she really values the members and puts their needs and happiness first. I work out after 8PM and the gym is practically empty. Apparently it only gets busy around 5-6PM. I’d recommend this gym if you’re willing to go at a time before or after the peak hour.

No real management for accountability with staff or customer service issues. Quality has diminished over the past year. And with all these downsides and complications, the dues increase every 6 months.

Really nice amenities but when there’s an Alpha class, only two squat racks are available. Staff is nearly nonexistent to ensure people aren’t hogging the squat rack, dragging benches into the squat racks, doing dumbbell exercises and stretches (NO squats or deadlifts), and filming. Watch out for the pale blond guy at 6 am with the man-bun who will set up for an hour and a half and not move, even when you ask him. He will do everything BUT use the barbell: dumbbell bench presses, pigeon stretches, etc. Staff was alerted but did nothing (hi, Cory!) A Lifetime membership is already far too expensive to have to deal with this nonsense.

This gym was fairly nice one point. Unfortunately, though, it's become dirty and overcrowded. So much so that I recently got a fungal infection covering my torse from the suana (it's prescription medicaion resistant, so I'll spend the next few months recovering from it).
As it's become more packed, the gym patrons have also changed. I've noticed men taking pictures of other men in the locker room numerous times. And equally strange, men wearing women's workout apparel--like yoga pants clearly designed for women.
It's a convenient gym for professionals working downtown, but the fungal infection I got from their sauna is rediculous. And even barring the health issues, it's become so trashy and strange that it's not worth the bizarre experiences.

I feel like the quality has gone down in the past year. i go here multiple times a week, every single week. Unfortunately, it seems management has chosen to given less and less attention to the actual state of the gym. It's consistently dirty (not entirely staff's fault, as people tend to not wipe down as often as they should). And every few weeks there will be a new machine broken with no intent to fix it. There are currently about 6 treadmills that have the sign "this equipment is under repair. it will be operational by ____." with no date and have had that sign there for 2 months now. People pay way too much to go here for them to just not care about fixing machines. now, another machine is broken (one of the stretch machines) and who knows when that will be fixed. it just makes me sad that they take care of everything else but the most important, their machines, aren't taken care of efficiently. multiple Stairmaster machines don't work either, their screens are broken and either dont turn on or are permanently frozen and theres about 4 that dont work either. Especially the women's hot tub, it barely is open anymore and is constantly "under repair". when is anything going to get fixed ?

Poor gym etiquette. People routinely lift weights right in front of the dumbbell rack, oblivious that they are blocking other people from putting weights back. The gym layout is poorly designed- squats racks in one area, then climb a huge flight of stairs to do leg extensions, curls, or calves. Afterwards walk from the lockers to the jacuzzi with a towel on as almost every single guy looks you up and down like its a bath house… Maybe this is more of a place for hipsters and people that want to spend a lot of money to feel posh.

My boyfriend and I have been on and off members since 2020, initially starting at Lifetime in Greenway. We have access to both Greenway and Green Street now with our current membership. We prefer the downtown location because it is closer to our home. The facility is also a lot smaller which makes it easier to maintain. There are perks for both locations. Greenway has a pool that we love to use during the summer and Greene Street has the cold plunge which we also like to use. At both locations the staff is always willing to help, friendly, and welcoming. I have my favorites at Greene Street which include Shelby, Sergio, Jose and Lia. Greenway, I love Jared, Alex and Ethan‘s classes. It’s definitely worth the monthly membership. Those that waist the time to provide one stars and complain, I would love to tell them that they are plenty of gyms in Houston that are Cheaper with a lower quality of service.

I gave this gym four stars because we are always improving. Most would agree that it is expensive, but you pay for what you like. This is a beautiful facility. The staff and equipment are suitable to my needs and others from what I can tell.
People look at what they like, but no ones safety has been compromised. Stalkers, definitely not here. Take the tour and ask for a day pass and return for a workout on the day/time that benefits you. This will give you a better feel for what you are about to commit to.
Also, return just for one last tour before your commit. Take a look at the people who work out there, what the garage traffic, street/walking traffic, and the atmosphere of the area are like.
I read some of the comments and wondered why you would commit to an expensive membership knowing that you weren't going to follow through. 🤔 There is no pool, bummer. Get over it. They have other facilities in Houston. They have plenty of cardio equipment. I was excited when they removed the excess cardio equipment to install more weight machines.
There are certain times during the day that there are fewer members working out. Yes, they do take up the first floor during a segment of the morning and evening, I avoid those times. Remember to ask questions for answers you need to know.
I am a member just in case you were wondering. Take your time and ask them to show you every machine that is available so you can make a sound decision. If this is your fit, you will love it.

I have extremely mixed feelings about this gym. If you only use this location, it's pretty much a rip off unless (1) you love the classes and think they're worth the price or (2) you can't find any other clean, nice gym near downtown.
Definitely take a tour before purchasing to see if the small size is what you want; if you can go during peak hours around 5-6pm to see if your machines/weights are popular, even better.
I personally use this locations on weekdays and the suburbs on weekends, which is where I get my money's worth with the racquetball courts and lap pools (among other amenities). I would not pay this price for only what this location offers. $200+ with tax and not even a pool! Unlike most Lifetimes, this one does not feel spacious and calm because of the cramped size. The classes use the weights area which annoys anyone who wants to use squat racks or wants to use the ground floor without hearing thudding class music. I use the second floor just to avoid the loud music because that's not the vibe I want while exercising after a long workday. I don't use the squat racks but it's pretty silly that at this price point you're sharing machines with the classes.
That said, they have tons of quality classes, including more early/late classes than the suburb locations. Gym is clean and smell nice like all Lifetimes. Staff is very nice. But you're definitely paying for location and not amenities.

This was an ok gym before they got rid of all the low impact cardio machines. I came in today and all the recumbent bikes and elliptical machines aside from 4 are gone! Meanwhile there are 10000 stair climbers and treadmills empty... this is super disappointing, if they want to add more weight lifting are fine, but have an even distribution of low impact cardio equipment for those that come here for that. Might as well use my apt gym now and cancel my membership... ridiculous smh also they close at 10pm (530pm on weekends) and kick you out immediately at 930 from the locker room which is crazy since all the other locations are open until midnight. For over $200 a month that’s unacceptable and makes other gyms in the area a better alternative.

For a small expensive gym, you would expect for the amenities to be well kept. But the sauna and cold tub are absolutely disgusting, they also do not enforce the rules and allow for people to get in naked.

So many issues with this gym. Not enough weight equipment for the price. Some machines have been broken for weeks. Only 1 barbell machine outside of the alpha area- so you can’t really workout when there are classes.
The biggest issue is that the downstairs weight area has clear glass. So everyone on main can see inside the building. I have had multiple men stop and creepily stare. I have had multiple occasions where a man takes pictures or records me. For safety reasons I would advise anyone to stay away from this place. The building, for whatever reason would not allow lifetime to clever the glass- either with wallpaper or use frosted glass. It is completely unnacceptabke and a danger to the patrons to be exposed like that. Especially not for $220/month.
Stay away.

Staff is nice and gym is clean but that’s about it. Been coming here since it opened and it’s always been such a waste of money to me. Gym closes at 10pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends is a waste of $200. It’s way smaller than the other locations but costs more than almost all of them. It’s always packed with people not doing anything all throughout the day and quite frankly it’s bothersome to the point where I’m looking at other gyms. There’s been many times where I would come and leave because I’ll spend some much unnecessary time waiting on equipment. This location makes me think it’s only for monetary gain because everyone is forced to pack in here before closing at 10pm. At least give people a chance to enjoy a semi empty gym outside of conventional hours. Lifetime is constantly raising the price but I don’t see the value.

Best Lifetime in Houston.
Currently paying $250 for two memberships, which doesn’t give access to Greenway location but I’m ok not going there.
Gym is always being cleaned, staff is friendly, and equipment is fixed quickly but I rarely see any broken.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. It’s a small gym. Take a tour and see for yourself before you sign up.
2. It doesn’t have amenities, so no pool, no sauna, no tennis court, no rock climbing.
3. Yes Alpha classes do take up all of the squat racks in the first floor, but there’s a rack, smith machine, and two squat machines on the second floor.
I think this gym was made for the 9-5 business people working downtown, which is why it’s not full of amenities, peak hours are 7am-9am and after 4:30pm, and weekend hours are shorter.
Y’all just love to complaint lol

I personally really like this location. It’s very small and the studio classes are limited. However, the gym is never super packed or loud. I go to the one in Greenway every now and then, but that one looks like a big gym in a container and it’s always packed and loud. I like how boutique the downtown location is and the design of this location is very luxurious. Also, the bathroom is way bigger and less busy. The studio classes or group training never had lot of people either. I come to the lifetime mostly for the classes and I have always enjoyed them here. If you’re big on training by yourself and using the weight equipments, then I would say the other locations would be better.

$200 a month for an overrated gym that seems to have been designed by someone who doesn’t actually workout themselves. Terrible gym layout, incredibly small free weight section for the amount of people who come here, 14 ellipticals (I’ve only seen 2 used at the busiest hours), 1 cable machine, and “alpha” classes that take up every single power lifting rack(10 of them) so you can’t use them if you aren’t in the class. You are better off saving your money to go somewhere else or go to a different lifetime location. Nice locker room though that’s about it…

$200 a month is a joke for this gym. It’s too small , doesn’t have a lot of equipment, and ALWAYS packed. I workout usually between 5-8:30 p.m. “peak time” and I always have to wait for every single piece of equipment.

Update. Lol this gym is a joke and Lifetime is a joke. I guess Abbi is the new manager. He called me to argue about the complaint I filed. Apparently, wanting to use 1 of the 10 squat racks at 7am is being unrealistic. The membership is $200 a month, and if you’re not getting personal training or a part of the Alpha classes they could care less about you complaining about their gym being inefficient. Pay your $200 and shut up. So I decided to cancel this membership.
Been a member of Lifetime Downtown for 2 weeks. The Alpha classes takes up all the squat racks from 6am - 8am. So if you’re an early riser and workout in the morning do not plan on using a squat rack which is very unfortunate considering I’m paying $200 a month. The gyms main workout area is flooded with cardio machines. The weight area is very small. There’s only one of every machine people like to use. The GM sent me an email stating to reach out to him if I had any concerns. I emailed him twice and was ignored. Hopefully we get another luxury gym in the downtown area so I can get rid of this membership.

I visited this gym as a guest with my friend. Loved it so much that I asked the front staff if I can come back to tour the gym, get a full workout in, and sign up for as a member. The staff were rude and dismissive. I called to speak to a manager about the situation and he apologized and said I could come back for free to experience the gym. I called before I was gonna go and the person on the phone did not believe me. They said they would speak to the manager to verify then call me back but never did. Whatever.
Today I went to the gym again. I didn’t have a chance to eat anything so I wanted to eat at the cafe. The cafe was closed. I isn’t wanna risk paying out by exercising on a empty stomach so I left. Did not work out or use anything in the gym. I was literally there 2 minutes so My friend asked if they could delete me as a guest under. They refused and told her she only has one more pass this month.
This is a luxury gym and the staff are rude and make going yo the gym a bad experience. No wonder it’s always empty. I live downtown, I will get a membership but not at this location. What a shame.

Edit: All good things must come to an end I guess. The staff has changed and the new staff doesn't even say anything to you. You walk in, scan and walk away all in silence. When leaving they are usually just staring down at their phones and no acknowledgement. Strange that Greenway has become more friendly and greeting you by name. Seems as if they switched roles.
Where do I even begin about this facility? I'd have to say it's one of my favorite lifetime facilities. I pay more for the Greenway location but still choose to frequent this location. I'd say the big two things that set this place apart is the staff and the cleanliness.
The front desk staff are super friendly (sometimes too friendly 👀) You can tell that they actually care about you rather than just being a scan. They will ask you how your day/weekend was, ask what are you working out for the day and the big thing is that some of them remember your name. Great people, always greeting you with a smile.
Secondly, the cleanliness. I have never seen a lifetime clean more than these people. Maybe it's the time I go, but I see all staff on hand, going through and cleaning and wiping down machines and organizing the weights. In my 10+ years being a member I haven't seen a staff more dedicating to cleaning.
Okay so the cons of this place. The weekend hours are pretty bad. It's really limiting on any sort of evening workout. Secondly, the parking. There's days that I want to start and end my day at lifetime. I want to sit there, have breakfast, do work then a workout but it's really limiting with a 3 hour limit on parking validation. I understand that it isn't your garage, but it's a bummer. One plus is the free EV charging even though it's ridiculously slow.
Overall great experiences and look forward to continuing my fitness journey with y'all.

I am a founding member of Green Street and overall it’s a nice clean gym however now that it’s been open for over 6 months it’s getting more crowded and it’s lacking free weight sections. There is a lot of traffic in the morning since people go prior to work downtown.
1. Upstairs is a small free weight section with about 6 benches and free weights are lacking in numbers.
2. There are so many cardio machines upstairs which is nice but it would be nicer if some of the cardio machines were decreased (since there are treadmills also in the GTX area as well) to extend the free weight section upstairs all along the wall. At 6 am & 7 am the Alpha classes start downstairs so all the squat racks are taken so you are left with one squat rack & smith machine upstairs this is not enough. I go at 5am so I can get a squat rack but I know this is not possible for everyone. It would be far better to add more squat racks up stairs and remove some of the unnecessary cardio machines as I don’t see people using all the bikes as much as the stair masters or treadmills.
3. Upstairs there is only one cable pulley system that is able to be adjusted up and down. Also only one seated row machine with adjustable attachments. Which was an issue this am when multiple people were waiting for it.
4. I enjoy the instructor Sergio, Corey, Liz as I have taken classes (Alpha & Pilates) with them. They are well educated and super motivating.
5. Juan at the front desk is very nice and dresses 😊 and super friendly!

Pros: very clean, organized and best equipments (like most of LifeTime branches)
Dedicated parking
Cons: this branch is so compact and way too crowded (obviously needs to be managed), so long wait time for using weights, benches etc. even on a weekday.
No problem for cardio machines treadmills etc.
Also, a bit overrated (expensive) compared to other lifetime branches
And no swimming pool

Pros: Convenient location, always kept clean & organized, newer/high end equipment/machines, awesome amenities and more reasonable monthly membership fee compared to Greenway location.
Cons: Some of the staff members [especially in that front office] need to be retrained on how to be more polite and actually saying "HELLO" when member's come in or if you pass by them in the gym. Not just staring at people and waiting for them to speak to you first smh.. Basic common courtesy rules & expectations 101 for people in customer service roles.

Kindest staff I have ever encountered. I have been struggling with issues with my body image my entire life. It a was a dark and story November day. I sought refuge from the harsh rain in this fine establishment. The people on the outside said they would never accept me for I was not a member, but I had faith. When I first opened the door, the glowing lights projected onto me a warmth that I hadn't felt since I was just a newborn babe. They welcomed me with open arms. I immediately started a regiment to set me back on the right track. It has been a month now and I feel better than ever. My life is changed. Thank you Life Time Green Street.

After Covid/the pandemic I no longer felt comfortable going to my old crowded and not so clean gym, & decided to upgrade my gym to something top notch- and Lifetime is most definitely it.
The gym is clean, not crowded, has a luxurious feeling and spacious locker room, with non-co-ed sauna and steam rooms, as well as non-co-ed hot and cold tubs. Lots of cardio equipment, weight machines, a ton of squat racks. The classes they offer and instructors are amazing!
With all that being said- there are a couple of things that could have been better, for the price point.
#1- PLEASE expand your hours to match other Lifetimes. 8-5pm on the weekends is a bummer.
#2- The free weight area is pretty small given the size of the gym, and there aren’t enough mirrors.
#3- More hand sanitizer stations needed.
All in all, this is a fantastic gym & all of the staff I have come across has only enhanced the experience.

What I am getting at is if you don’t have the money there are things you can cut out of your life that is UNHEALTHY and put it into something that is HEALTHY. Love the gym; it's new; it's awesome; friendly staff; awesome trainers. Debated if it's 3 or 4 and choosing 4 because it is nice and they're nice.
What could improve is there's literally one bottle of hand sanitizer in the whole gym. It tells you in one bottle what they feel about covid. This gym was literally built during the pandemic and there's not a single wall hand sanitizer. I guess you can use an equipment wipe; pretty weak.
Also hopefully they they weekly deep cleans because cordless vacs and swiffer mops aren't gonna cut it in a locker room. it's gonna begin to look bad quickly. Finally each wipe station needs a refuse cans, it should be obvious.
What's also not cool is parking validation is only 3 hours and after it's $5 (awesome if you wanna go bowling or to a concert) but if you wanna have lunch, get in a massage and hit your workout, it's $5 and they don't offer an extra validation, all while I'm spending money, again not cool. Parking convenience is better that most lifetime's however.
Finally it's the hours, not open as early or a late as other lifetimes. Is this a special abbreviated lifetime?
Is the thinking because we have less amenities we don't need as long hours? That's kinda reverse thinking if it is. Or maybe it's because our clientele is downtown workers? But then open earlier.
Regardless, closing at 5pm on the weekends is a bit of a rip, I figured it was due to the pandemic (but then see my comment on hand sanitizer) at least close at 7. I feel bad for those that signed up at other clubs under the guise of 24 hours yet are still paying their full amount. Hopefully Greenstreet will they extend hours soon, maybe after their other locations go 24 hours. Or hopefully they don't use the pandemic as an excuse to turn into a normal hour gym because 24 hours was a draw.
Needs another seated militarily press bench upstairs.
Downstairs could use seated calf raise or the elusive hip thrust barbell machine that no gym has. (It's a vanity workout and would be a draw for many). Needs a pull up bar.
Hopefully this gym goes 4-11 every day like their other gyms (some do midnight). They're taking advantage right now and need to rectify it; we're paying a premium. Great gym, work on logistics.
