An amazing place where you can improve your health & energy, enhance your mobility, flexibility, strength and make a positive impact on you life, I strongly recommend scheduling an appointment with coach Tarek so you can discover your true potential or simply feel much better at every working session especially if you are recovering from injuries or such you will save thousands in doctors or medicines.

I’ll be honest—at first, I was hesitant to sign up. Not because of anything to do with Tarek, but because I’ve had my fair share of trainers who overpromise and underdeliver. However, that is not the case with Tarek. Working with him has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my fitness journey. I actually met Tarek at another gym while training with someone else, and instantly, I knew there was something special and different about him.

From day one, he’s been consistent, dependable, and completely focused on helping me reach my goals. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about mobility, strength, and functional training, but he shows up to every session with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. What truly sets him apart is his INTEGRITY. He does the right thing even when no one is watching, and you can feel that in the way he treats you as a client, the way he carries himself, and the pride he takes in his work. He NEVER cuts corners, never makes you feel rushed, and always puts your long-term well-being first.

I’ve been training with him for about three months now, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative. Every session is intense but purposeful, and the results speak for themselves. His knowledge is exceptional, and he brings a unique skill set that allows him to genuinely problem-solve whatever area you may be struggling with—whether it’s mobility, form, strength, or confidence.

My hip and shoulder mobility have improved significantly, along with my balance and stability. Exercises that once required assistance (like single-leg work or kettlebell transitions) are now performed confidently and pain-free. Overall, my functional strength markers—hinge patterns, push/pull ratios, and core control—have all measurably improved.

He doesn’t just train you; he invests in you. His attention to detail, his ability to break things down, and his commitment to helping you improve make all the difference. He’s a man of true integrity—he shows up prepared, communicates clearly, and holds himself to a standard that’s rare to find in this industry. You can feel that his intentions are genuine. He truly wants you to succeed, and he puts in the work to make sure you do.

If you’re looking for a trainer who knows what he’s doing and is also a man of character, accountability, and honesty, he is the one. Your sessions won’t just be therapy for your body—they’ll be therapy for your mind as well. As a client, I’m genuinely excited to see his overall impact in the fitness world.

If you’re thinking about working with Tarek, let this be your sign: trust what you see and take the step. You won’t regret it!!

Club is slipping since change in GM a year ago.

My favorite stretching machine has been broke for going on eight weeks now. Been told three times a work order has been written and told once that it was fixed, but it wasn’t.

Pickleball courts however are pretty good.

Big shout out to the Front Desk, Yoga team, and Pickleball Crew! I start each day with a visit to LT City Center. The Front Desk Team is amazing. From Freddie and Stevens friendly greetings, to their ability to assist with all manner of items, they are the face of my LT experience. Stacy and the Yoga team make the classes challenging, relaxing, and create an environment of self-healing and self-challenge. The Pickleball crew... this is where I spend most of my time. Mimi, Stan and Jimmy are so fun, welcoming, and know their stuff. LT City Center has great people that make it a great place.

I love Lifetime City Center and everyone I come in contact with. I spend most of my time on the pickleball courts so a huge shout out to Jimmy, Mimi and Stanley. They provide a friendly healthy atmosphere and we love it!!! My next shout out is to Stacey and her yoga team. I can’t sing their praises loud enough!! She has trained some of the best yoga teachers I have ever experienced. The yoga team is truly like family not just to me but to all their participants in their classes. One last shout out goes to the front desk. Freddy and Steven set the tone when you walk in! It is such a pleasant start to my workout. Honestly, the entire staff at the desk makes me smile everyday!!! I love Lifetime City Center!!

I absolutely love everything about Lifetime CityCentre! Every class is such a joy, and the energy from the instructors is truly inspiring. Jared, our Studio Leader, doesn’t just lead the team — he genuinely cares about each member and instructor, making everyone feel supported and motivated. Every instructor I’ve met is amazing (too many great names to mention😁🤣♥️), bringing passion, positivity, and fun to every session.

The Concierge Team is always so friendly and helpful, and Membership Concierge Leader, Fahad Alsammarraie, is simply outstanding — always going above and beyond, making sure every member feels welcomed, valued, and taken care of. Their dedication truly makes a difference in everyone’s experience💯

This gym isn’t just a place to work out — it’s a community full of warmth, encouragement, and inspiration. I honestly consider Lifetime CityCentre my second home. ✨🏠🤗

I have been a member for more than 4 years. There are some pros and there are some cons. I would love to give LT City Centre 4 or 5 stars.. actually I would prefer that because this is my home gym, but there are a couple of concerns with this location:
1) Class times- not enough non-signature classes in the mornings before 8am and after 6pm. It’s all Signature Classes that you have to pay for. People who work 9-5.. forget about doing a class before work or after work.
2) They have increased my monthly dues EVERY YEAR, with no real progress in either class times or amenities. This location is still dated.
3) When you bring up these concerns, they are acknowledged, but have I seen them make progress in the last 4 years? I’d say minimally. Management is clearly under delivering.

The pros are that LT offers great classes that are well thought out and AMAZING instructors. Lifetime plans events for their members and you always feel like you’re part of something special. You do get a lot for what you pay for, just not enough to warrant the increase in dues every year and lack of class times and offerings at certain times of the day.

EDIT: I wanted to check back in after my initial review. I still don’t see many classes before or after 9am-5pm. For example, they’ve cut the cycling class I used to go to at 6pm on Thursdays and the Barre class I used to go to at 6pm on Fridays. Still not enough mat Pilates classes either. It’s hard to justify how much I’m getting out of my membership if I can’t take classes when it is most convenient (and I would assume those times would work for most working people too).

This lifetime location is more than just a fancy gym: it's family. I've been to just about every gym and fitness dynamic, and this specific location has cultivated the perfect atmosphere for an optimal healthy lifestyle.

From the moment you enter, you have people like Steve, Freddy, Jada, and Gabby beginning your day with a positive vibe. In life, a positive mind attitude 90 percent of the battle. I forgot his name, but there's also a greeter that's from my native city of New York; the fact that I know that is telling of how cordial this group of bunch is.

Then, you walk to the locker room. THIS FACILITY IS CLEAN!!! I mean, CLEAN. I came hear from LA fitness because I am an avid swimmer. I got an infection from my previous gym, and came to this one seeking a clean pool. I've been coming here for years now and swim 4 times a week. I never got sick once from the pool, making evident the hard work that everyone puts into this place.

The cleaning crew is relentless and focus: a feat often seen as a minor caveat but is fundamental to the structure of this athletic environment. Young men, like George, are stellar members that take pride in the integrity of their work.

The salon is also filled with vibrancy, forget illuminating the already brilliant atmosphere. Theresa never fails to have the same smile and diligence to care for the little things, and that makes the biggest difference.

The classes they have are worth more than the membership itself! Trap and others who run this programs run a tight shift, but have positive regard and genuineness that nurtures the growth of both the novice and the elite.

I don't utilize the personal trainers, but I do see them ALWAYS SMILING! I don't know everyone's name at this place, but they are seen worrying diligently, and thus, their passion is heard.

I don't normally write these things, but the saturated positivity from this place is overwhelming. ! This place is more than a building; its a sanctuary for recovery from the natural wear and tear of life.

I had an amazing experience at Life Time! The gym itself is clean, well organized, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a great workout. The staff were welcoming and professional throughout my visit. One of the highlights of my time there was booking an appointment for the Stretch & Massage service. I was assisted by Grant Estill, and he was absolutely fantastic. Grant not only provided a relaxing and effective stretch session, but he also took the time to teach me several valuable leg stretches that I can now incorporate into my routine. His knowledge, professionalism, and positive energy really made the session outstanding.
Overall, I left feeling refreshed, more flexible, and well taken care of. Highly recommend both the gym and the Stretch & Massage service and **if you can, book with Grant!** I’ll definitely be back.

I love this location because they have some of the best classes and instructors in the city. Specifically, I LOVE Street Vybe on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Its a great dance cardio class, but what makes it special is Nnanna the instructor. He brings a dance experience you cant find anywhere else, I literally travel 25 miles to come to class. He makes everyone feel welcome and the class dance battles build a strong community. He takes his time curating the music, musicality, and choreography, so that it fits any dance level and makes you want to Vybe; you can tell he really cares about us. If you need a workout that doesn't feel like a workout, this is your spot.

I’d like to give special recognition to the concierge team at Lifetime Memorial City Center. Grace, Cindy and Gabby are always on top of their game with the upmost of spirits. I've been a Life Time member for more than ten years and use several amenities at this location. Life Time is a top-tier wellness facility. The town and country facility is stylish, and packed with premium amenities — from steam rooms, pickle ball, squash, climbing wall to a resort-style pool. The fitness floor is spacious and well-equipped, and the group classes are energizing and expertly led. Staff are friendly, and the overall vibe is motivating and upscale. It’s more than a gym — it’s a lifestyle upgrade.

Also want to give a shout out to Michael from the Life Time concierge team. Every time I walk in, he’s there greeting members with a warm smile and a helpful attitude. Recently, Michael assisted me multiple times with membership questions, and each interaction has been smooth, professional, and genuinely kind. I've had similar interactions with Fahad and several other staff. They truly embody what Life Time is all about: top-notch service and a welcoming, community-first vibe.

I’ve been going to this gym for over 3 years. The equipment is old, and during all this time they’ve barely made a few changes. There are not enough machines for glutes and legs, and there are hardly any mirrors, which are essential to check proper form. The stair machines all have broken handles, which is uncomfortable and even dangerous.

The bathrooms and showers are outdated and urgently need remodeling.
For the amount they charge every month, they should be investing much more in their facilities

This place is NOT worth the money they charge ($250 for 1 person) & the management needs to be changed out. I have no idea how the corporate office hasn’t stepped in by now because it’s been this way for YEARS. The equipment is old & outdated. There’s not enough lifting machines for busier times (6-8 AM and 4-7 PM). The water massaging tables are constantly broken, there’s tons of theft (just read other reviews), etc. Most of the staff are decently nice but that’s literally the only redeeming factor.

Just for you all to know, if anytime anything happens inside parking building for any lifetime’s member here in Town and Country location in Houston TX, lifetime is not responsible and security is not responsible because they claim that they both are not responsible and on the top of that there is no camera to check for safety and recent incident to our car in that parking building ( 2nd floor) specified as Hit and Run with no camera for investigation, imagine if God forbid something as life threatening happened in that parking!? Yes, you are on your own and lifetime asks you to talk to security and security asks you to talk to lifetime management means you are vulnerable and helpless

I’ve been coming to Life Time at CityCentre on and off over the years—mainly due to work-related schedule changes—but every time I return, I’m reminded why this location is truly the best in Houston. And I say that confidently, having visited other Life Time locations both here and beyond.

What makes this one stand out? Yes, the location is beautiful. Yes, the amenities are top-tier. But it’s the people—the culture, the vibe, and the way everyone works together—that set it apart.

I truly believe that starts at the top. The new manager clearly has the respect of both the staff and the members. You can feel it in how smoothly everything runs and how welcoming the energy is from the moment you walk in.

I want to give a special shoutout to Michael, the young man who helped sign me up. From the moment we met, I could tell this guy is going places. Originally from New York (which you can definitely hear when he talks—haha), Michael shared with me that Life Time’s ethos is:
“We want our guests to leave with a smile.”
And I have to say—I’ve never left without one. Every visit leaves my mind, body, and soul refilled, ready to take on the world again.

Michael is not only knowledgeable, but kind, professional, and genuinely excited to see others feel good. Whoever raised him should know—they did an amazing job.

The rest of the team deserves praise too:

The front desk staff are always well-dressed and welcoming—seriously, some of the best first impressions in any gym I’ve been to.

The café team is friendly, fast, and consistently delicious, and it’s always great to see and chat with familiar faces like Jess and Jasmine.

The locker room staff keep everything spotless, and they’ve helped me more times than I can count with those tricky locker resets (thank you!).

The group instructors, especially in yoga, are phenomenal. I want to give a special shoutout to Stacey P., who helped me conquer my first Shirshasana (headstand)—something I never thought I’d be able to do.

If you’re looking not just for a gym, but for a genuine lifestyle upgrade, this is it.

Do yourself a favor—try this location. You might walk in for a workout, but you'll leave with so much more.

I hadn’t worked out in over 10 years and decided to get back into fitness on my own. Within a couple of months, I started experiencing a lot of shoulder and back pain, which made me realize I needed professional help to move correctly and avoid injuries. That’s when I started training with Tarek.

In just two months of working together, the difference has been incredible. The pain that brought me in has almost completely gone away, and my progress in stamina, strength, and mobility has been exponential. Tarek not only focuses on form and technique but also makes sure every session is tailored to my needs and long-term goals.

I’m very grateful for his guidance and highly recommend him to anyone looking to get stronger, move better, and train the right way.

I left my shoes in the locker room on accident and the next morning I called to see if they had them and I was assured that they had my shoes they described them and everything and when I went to pick them up later that day they were no longer there the room is only allowed access by employees. When I spoke to the guy on the phone, he told me that nobody could go in the room and that they would be there when I got there. I spoke with the manager he said that he would find who took the shoes, but he never did anything. He never got back to me. He never called me. He never emailed me. Very unprofessional.

LifeTime is a fantastic gym and pool with amazing management overall except one: Fahad Al-sammarraie. He puts on a high and mighty attitude and having seen his interactions with his aquatics team members first hand, he is extremely condescending and seems to think himself better than them when he should be treating them with respect and kindness. I once saw him visibly angry yelling at a young female Lifeguard, which is extremely inappropriate, not just in a workplace setting but yelling to a fellow coworker? Meanwhile I've seen him suck up to his superiors and act all nice. I rarely see him around managing his aquatics staff and when I do he's bossing them around while putting on a fake "I care about you" attitude. If I were general manager of LifeTime City Center, Fahad would be immediately fired. During my interactions with the Aquatics assistant manager Kris, he seems to put on a fake attitude towards customers. Overall LifeTime is a great place to workout and swim with many amazing staff, but Fahad is one of the worst managers I've seen in awhile and I usually don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. I hope LifeTime corrects their managerial mistake and finds a more caring and companionate manager than Fahad.

After he gave me clear feedback on what he saw during the process.
After the feedback we talked about my fitness goals and how to get there with is assistance. Fast forward a month and half. I recently had a very disappointing experience at Lifetime Fitness. My biggest gripe is that they are extremely money-oriented but lack any sense of being service-oriented. From the moment I walked in, it felt like their primary concern was getting as much money from me as possible rather than ensuring I had a satisfactory experience.

The staff seemed more interested in upselling than actually assisting with my needs or addressing my concerns. Every question or request was met with an attempt to steer me towards the more expensive options, regardless of whether they were appropriate for what I wanted.

Moreover, the quality of service didn’t match the premium prices they were charging. It was clear there was little regard for the customer's satisfaction once they had my money.

Overall, I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a place that values customers and offers quality service. There are plenty of other options where your business will be appreciated, and your experience will be prioritized.

For the price? It should be 24 hours.
It should have water to sell in the counter for in case you forget your bottle of water.
Guest policy is too strict, had my mom here for two weeks, and had to take her somewhere else.
It is a waste of money :) and already switched clubs!

If you are trying to play pickle ball at CityCenter, be wary of the people responsible running the courts.
It's always favored for friends and family.
People running the courts on payroll of Lifetime have friends or have become friends that get all types of slick advantages. Paddle shuffling, added advantages of reseeding courts etc.

It's all the same group of people. I have been going there for 2 years still hasn't gotten better. No matter who you complain to, whether it's there general manager George/ or Michael forgot the name. They will never do anything about it.

Thinking of quiting the membership at LT and just going to a regular pb courts all over the city, it's sadden me to say this but I have lost hope now being a member here for 7 years and playing pb for 3 years.

Con#1- I come here to steam and the women’s steam sauna is literally always broken. Six months ago, I reached out to the general manager to inquire why it’s always broken and she actually responded by telling me she’s never heard of it being broken. I’ve been a member for a year and it’s literally broken every other week. I don’t usually ask why. One time it was broken because the employee said she left it open too long while hosing it down. Today is Saturday morning and the employee said it’ll be broken until the technician can come out on maybe Monday.

Con#2- Also 90% of the staff have RBF. Most of the staff are men. And almost all the male staff especially the men at the front desk and near the pool make zero eye contact and never greet, smile, or acknowledge. I usually smile and greet people when I enter and exit their establishment. After a year of coming here sometimes twice in a day (sometimes once before the kids wake and again later with the kiddo), I don’t know why I still try to make eye contact when I arrive or leave. It’s really awkward. So overall not the warmest place. But it’s the closest gym to our home and the steam room works 50% of the time. So it guess it’ll have to do.

Con#3- The showers are not great. The water pressure has gone from “if we try five different showers, we can find one with ok water pressure” to “ok wow the water is barely drip leaking. I wish I could be anywhere else showering.” Also a lot of the shower doors don’t stay closed. Meaning: I step inside and try to close the door and it swings open no matter how hard I try. I come here so often I just know which stalls are tolerable.

Pro1- It’s super super close to where I live.
Pro2- There’s a sub teacher for a class I like. She subs often. And I like her class. Hope she gets a regular class.
Pro3- It’s always clean. There are always towels in the women’s locker room.

I am extremely grateful for the Alpha classes that LifeTime offers, especially for the amazing coaches at the City Centre location. In particular, Coach Charles Robinson (Traps) stands out. He’s incredible at pushing the team and encouraging us to show up every day. His motivation drives me to improve and get better with each class. I feel so much better and well-guided under his instruction. This man truly deserves an award—best coach ever, without a doubt. He makes this membership completely worth it - someone please promote him!!!

New review. August 2024: I pay almost $450 a month for my membership to this club only to come to 10 of 28 treadmills and 4 of 16 stairs/ stair-master machines not working. And if you think there are more treadmills, you are correct, but they are reserved for the GTX classes only . The two massage chairs operated for a few months only for one of them to be out of order for 3 months and as soon as they fixed the massage chair, one of the two Cryo lounges went down and is still down going onto a month. I am not sure what they do with all the money they collect from membership, but this is just unacceptable customer experience and old/ not updated facilities. We got excited a few months ago when they were doing renovation in hopes of sprucing up the place, but all they did was renovate the GTX area where you have to paymore (have more expensive membership) to attend.attend. Not many options in this area…

I've been going to Lifetime Fitness for more than 20 years various areas where I lived in Houston and elsewhere. I have never met someone as uncivilized as a trainer by the name of Anthony that does GGX training. He has assaulted me by snatching weights out of my hand after walking over to my treadmill and elbowed me to grab the weights! Uncouth, uncivilized and unacceptable behavior! Whatever you do DO NOT take a class with this sorry excuse for a trainer!

For $429 a month (for my family of 2 adults 2 kids) is WAY too much for what it’s worth. After 2 months I cancelled the membership. It’s only worth like $150 a month for the first person not $229 !

I’ve gone to at least 4 other lifetime gyms around the city and this City Center is the WORST. I really can’t understand why this wouldn’t be anymore than the lowest basic of lifetime memberships. The entire gym is old and out dated from the look to the equipment. Sure it comes with all the basic amenities a lifetime gym does but literally all the machines are old like they are the same ones from when they originally opened idk what is that 15 years ago at least? The only gym I have been to where they do not push cleanliness. Every machine looks like it has sweat on it and hardly anybody wipes after themselves. But they really don’t even have enough wipe stations to accommodate. The workout class rooms, no one pushes (meaning the instructors) for everyone to wipe off after themselves. ESP in the cycling rooms, again not enough wipe stations and I have watched on every occasion people walk on and off the cycling machines and not wipe them either time nor do they adjust the bike back to the original position. Which every gym/class I have been to except this location emphasizes every single class. Just price this outdated gym for what it is worth. Just shows they are about money because at a level up of cost from the newer lifetimes how is it even possible but yet don’t put they money back into the gym.

Introduced many years ago while participating in the Green 6.2. The Race Director was also the Club's Run Coordinator. Over time he left to form his own club and had his wife takeover. Soon the clubs merged and Lifetime had nothing, thus, defunded the club. A couple years later they refunded the club, but members were reticent to. rejoin. Major efforts got the club back up, but Corp management was not satisfied and felt it was best to defund and refund 12 months later in spite of the message it sent to former members, existing members and the run community. Well, they defunded and refunded in spite of the marketing study saying such was a waste of money and time, would make more sense to continue to invest in growing the club. 9 people max. Yes, the members preferred to run with the City Centre Club and others in the area. The Commitment Day run lost commitment (ironic and telling). The former Club Director said, "Sometimes we [lifetime] are too prideful to admit our issues." Heck, he wanted the RUN CLUB TENT out front but would not pay for the required sandbags to safely secure not to mention other things. Clearly, he knew how to play the game. He got promoted. Lifetime Run Management was replaced and the local Run Clubs continue their downward spiral to defunding if they have not already been defunded. Sad, but true

This is a very poorly managed gym. I got three classes cancelled without proper notices in my first week here. 1-I booked a Pilates intro, it showed on my schedule, when I arrived, the instructor said she did not know there was a class so we scheduled to the flowing week🤷‍♀️2- I booked a personal training Monday 9am, I received a call at 7:50 to tell me the trainer was moved to another center🤷‍♀️ 3-I paid and booked a pickalball clinic, when I arrived on time, no instructor showed up. I checked with front desk to learn that the clinic was cancelled. No notice no notification🤷‍♀️ they told me it would be refunded.

Is this the new way to run business? Seems quite like a joke to me. People make schedule and plans and come to use the gym. Please show some basic respect to your members.

Update - April 2024!! Unfortunately, nothing has changed. No Air flow in the locker room at all, we are coming onto a Hot summer, and once again we are going to suffer. I am not even going to speak about about how busy it is, 6 AM is the new 5 PM, but I could understand that may be something they can’t do much about, but atleast work on the Air conditioning.

Update - March 2024!! Please listen to your members! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE LOCKER ROOMS, SUMMER IS HERE AND WE ARE GOING TO SUFFER, HOT, Humid & NOT CLEAN.

If the fitness groups are going to be using the only functioning treadmills in the morning, please consider purchasing newer treadmills that work properly. I had to switch between 3 treadmills this morning to find one that works!!

This review is a few months late but this gym really used to be a lot better than this, its very disappointing.

Let me start by saying the staff is nice and responsive most of the time.

Unfortunately, it feels like management only cares about money, the gym is always packed and they mostl likely over sold on membership.

The men’s locker room is as humid and hot that it can be, by the time you shower and get ready, it feels like you need another shower.
Sometimes we have to wait for Towels, there is like 10 sinks and 2 soap dispensers.
Showers don’t push cold water, either hot or warm water, and some of the shower heads don’t even work properly.

I have been going here for years and I’d like to continue doing so, I hope management can make changes to bring this gym back to what it used to be.

I had an hour-long personal dynamic session with instructor Lee on Wednesday, and I still feel I’m floating on air after so many days later. He gave me some great stretches! He also used a massage gun all over my legs, back and glutes to relax my muscles entirely. In fact, he even managed to fix my strained neck. He, then, seated me on a tilted massage chair and put my legs in air compression covers to relieve for muscle soreness. The whole appointment lasted 1.5 hours and I really feel like a new person after that! Thank you, Lee!

The people working at this gym are the classic pretty woman shopping scene. They paste on plastic smiles until you say you’re there to cancel. Then, they ignore you while you stand there waiting. Yesterday I tried to cancel and they told me I would have to talk to another guy behind the counter. When I asked politely if they could please let him know, they stated “you can do it yourself, just walk around.” The guy I needed to talk to was with another customer and there was a huge line of people building behind me to gain access to the gym. I finally had to ask for a manager to come talk to me because the guy that refused to help couldn’t be bothered. Perhaps working front desk is too difficult a concept for him? I’m not sure if the lady that ended up helping was management, but management should be ashamed of themselves for allowing staff to treat members this way. Don’t waste your money for poor service, increasing prices, and sub par amenities.

I LOVED Lifetime when I first joined, but it has gone downhill. The gym is crowded. In addition to raising rates by nearly 80% over the past 2 years, they seemed to have oversold memberships. While the crowd is a pain point, the addition of group fitness classes on the weight room floor is a HUGE ANNOYANCE. The club decided that paying members can no longer use some of the equipment (that we pay for!) on the floor because they want to run group fitness classes there now. Why not put those classes in one of the studios on the 3rd floor? Remove some squash courts? no no no... Let's add SCREAMING trainers to the weight room floor to irritate the bejesus outta everyone. *rolls eyes* Cliff notes - You're pissing off your clients! MOVE THE GTX, annoying, screaming trainers to the 3rd floor or hire better trainers that don't scream. It's irritating and ruins your club. No one wants to hear them everyday.

Beware. Theft is on the rise at lifetime gyms in Houston. People are sneaking a peek at your locker code and taking credit cards. The management acts like they care but there are no extra measures to stop it. Ridiculous.

Edit: Please disregard the fake concern from the management below. I had a family member reach out to the GM with their concern and they offered to cancel their membership. They’d rather cancel memberships of concerning members than address their concerns or look at how they can improve. The elderly should not feel unsafe in the locker rooms. A good solution would have been to at least warn your members of the increase in crime or the specific stint of people breaking into lockers to steal credit cards and SIM cards. Instead they’d rather dust it under the rug and cancel memberships of those who raise their concerns. How is that a solution? I know someone who had their valuables taken from them in early June and it resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Has there been an announcement made to the members regarding that? Nope. I don’t think the GM is versed in how to address this very concerning situation happening at their gym. They need more competent leadership. A simple sign in the locker rooms, or an email to the members would be sufficient.

*Updated response Post Renovation:

This place listened to the concerns and suggestions and responded solidly. There are now 10 squat racks, the barbells have been replaced. Disregard those cons below.*

This place is the best place for weightlifters in the Spring Branch Memorial area. At its price point, I personally would expect more…
Pros:
- Really cool community, lots of nice people

-Everything is always very clean, towels are available everywhere and sanitizer wipes are easy to find. Dumbbells are racked in order

-High end cardio equipment

-Helpful and friendly staff

Cons:
- The barbells and the bumper plates do not fit or are hard to get on/off. New barbells need to be purchased for the squat racks. I would expect proper brands (texas bars, rogue, etc)

-Only 4 squat racks are present with a extra cage to the side. There should be more for a gym of this size

-The hack squat is loaded on the glutes/lower back instead on the shoulders. It’s good for nothing really other than calf raises

- Only one basketball court now. Hooping with friends was one of the best things about this place

-Outdoor pool is lacking compared to some other locations. Understandable given it’s location however

-Lots of technogym machines that aren’t very good at targeting what they are supposed to

If money isn’t an issue than this place is probably the best. No solid private weightlifting gyms really exist in the area. At $130/month, It’s value per dollar isn’t the best.

Coaches 5/5 - Our favorite coaches are Frederick, Anthony, Jamie, Scarlett and Traps. They all teach differently but in a good way - very fun and motivating.

Cleanliness 3.5/5 - 3rd floor restrooms and hallway leading to the Alpha space needs frequent cleaning and monitoring. The people playing squash have all their gym bags, shoes, and equipment all over the floor.

Group training classes 3.5/5 - The past few weeks have gone down for us. We enjoyed the classes more when it wasn’t packed. Not the coaches fault!

Equipment 3.5/5 - There’s not enough for the people that actually registered for classes. When coaches have to modify the workout because there aren’t enough equipment (mats, weights, etc) that says something.

This location has the most friendliest and motivating coaches (5/5). I would have given the gym 5 stars, but lately the classes are getting way too packed! People that are not registered think they have a VIP backstage pass and can bounce from one class to another.
There aren’t enough equipment and space for more than 24 (registered) members. It’s disruptive to the class because you can’t even hear the coaches give instructions. Time is wasted on having to hurry to grab equipment before they’re all taken.

I can tell some of the coaches get annoyed when this happens and I don’t see it getting any better.

Coach Regan is an amazing swim instructor. She is extremely encouraging and master at her craft my kids love going to swim class. I would absolutely recommend kids swimming lessons to all of my friends and family. They have a wonderful swim program with amazing staff. Thank you coach Regan - you are awesome!!!

Staff are fine. But I canceled my membership start of Covid. They confirmed by email I was canceled. They continued to charge and will not refund the overcharge. They are predatory.

Didn't go there. My current exercise instructor is deleting my class to teach new classes at life time city centre.

I walked in ready to sign up and get a membership, but I just wanted a tour. Saw 3 people working the desk I asked for a tour but they said they were short staffed. People paying $150-200 for a gym to be short staffed I’m headed back to LA fitness never had issues there for half the price.
