I’m leaving a 1 star because on several occasions I have come to the club and it’s closed without any explanation or notification which is very disappointing and inconvenient. It’s already an overpriced gym on top of very corporate not personal. Any staff member that’s too friendly and upbeat seems to be fired at some point… (Jason) I’m not sure if it’s really worth it anymore

Special shout out to Coach Joseph Ferguson on personal training. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get serious about their training and fitness. Joseph designed classes that were challenging but rewarding. If you’re relatively new to fitness like me or years into your journey, he is someone who can tailor to your specific needs.

Locker room staff refused to give me more than one towel. Even when I explained I already put that towel in the laundry to be washed bc I can’t carry an extra large towel with me to the floor for my entire gym stay, they said “sorry I already gave you one” so although this is the highest priced Lifetime, you are expected to keep an extra large towel with you from entry to use of all amenities to the shower. Also, they tried to upcharge for a 12oz juice the price of a 20oz. When I explained to them the size difference, the cashier at the cafe then tried to say “it’s bc of the recipe” when it’s def not. Barely started here, will be switching to a more accessible and welcoming gym outside of this brand, imo.

The half full - LTF demolished the old club and built a better club. The reality, Overpriced providing significantly less value than other clubs. Customer Service? About the same as any LTF. All one has to do is stand in line at the CS Desk as it is rarely sufficiently staffed and listen to the complaints. They are sick to sign you up and try to get you addicted ("engaged") in classes, training and more without much concern for your needs, your health. Try to cancel the membership? Good luck. Reading Glass Door reviews provides additional insight.

NOTE Every Lifetime club leaves the same response. Hmmm. Could it be corporate? Does the local club see or care? Or, does the local club only care about making its corporate mandated #?

I upgraded my membership to greenway a little while ago now and this location is still such an amazing place. the gym floor and basketball courts are always clean, and the staff are incredible. Notably Desiree, the concierge leader is always super helpful and amazing. As well, Chloe is great and always there to help with any question or problem I may have. In general, after upgrading to greenway I have been treated amazingly by everyone and absolutely love the gym and all other amenities.

The kids academy is always chaos in the early evening and late afternoon . For the past month everytime I drop my kids off for a work out or to study they have a complaint. Its been a constant waste of time and money spent. It's a specific lady that doesnt know how to regulate children. As she's trying to tell me what happened over the phone there's kids screaming and crying in the background. They do not separate the children in their respective age groups like the other locations I.e. baybrook and Missouri city. I bring them to the other locations and they rave about my children always have great things to say. At this location it's always a problem at this point I will not be bringing my children back unless I see more organization in age groups and a range of more activities. They have a yoga room that's never in use. Maybe hire more people like the other locations so there's more order and more efficiency with the kids behaviors. A 4 year old should not be playing with a 11 year old that's common sense. Sometimes they have infants in the tot spot sitting in their car seats it's just unacceptable.

I had an easy experience scheduling a tour over the phone at the Greenway Plaza location! The staff was incredibly helpful, guiding me effortlessly to the garage and showing me how to reach the vibrant greeting area on the third floor.

As I stepped inside, I was immediately greeted by an inviting atmosphere and a fresh, clean scent. Maria gave me a fantastic tour of the entire gym — exploring the main floor, various boutique workout rooms, the spa, lounges, cozy cafe, pools, and even the lively bars. She was super friendly and shared tons of exciting details about the gym’s amenities.

I signed up on the spot and jumped right into a workout! I loved the variety of weight racks—they offer so many options. Some equipment could use a bit of upgrade, and the benches by the weights are not bolted down, which can be a little tricky. People seem to pull them all over the gym. I would suggest to bolt them down for safety reasons. The gym can get lively, especially during peak hours, and there's a great selection of cardio machines to choose from.

Group classes here look fantastic — perfect for anyone looking to stay motivated. Plus, the massage chairs and recovery guns are a real treat after a tough workout!

The restrooms, showers, lockers, sauna, and steam room are spotless and beautifully maintained.

All in all, my visit was incredibly enjoyable — I can't wait to come back and crush some workouts in this dynamic gym!

Lifetime Greenway is my absolute favorite gym in the greater Houston area. Love this gym! But most of all the kids academy, that is the reason we are members. The kids academy lead by Bailey is THE best program in all of the Lifetime fitness’. We have been members of several locations in Houston and other states and this is by far the best kids academy. We will continue to be members of this location because of this program. Bailey hires top notch people to work in kids academy and one of the most valuable team members is Ashley C, she treats all of the children with so much love and patience. And with Ashley C there t feels like a sweet little preschool allowing me to peacefully drop my twins off and allow myself to have a great workout. Very thankful for these amazing ladies.

Cameron and Marisa… so many things to say but so little time and space. These two are some of the best people you’ll meet at Lifetime. Cameron’s a tour de force with this bright, dazzling energy whenever you meet her at the front desk. And if you want someone who really knows their stuff when it comes to the concierge team, you go to her - she can run that place like the army. Marissa is honestly a Swiss Army knife when it comes to her position as Events Coordinator - she can really do it all and more and she does it well with a smile. She’ll also stay until the job is done, which has meant I’ve waited for a ride from her while she does her job into the evening around 6-7pm sometimes.

My only note of feedback to the branch and not team specific - add an ice bath in the men’s locker room 😡

Locker area is large and has some long large lockers along with usual average size lockers. Very friendly staff. Parking is first two levels with gym above. Two large outside pools, one lap. I really enjoy this location! The pool area alone is one of my favorite amenities, but the facility is super clean and the machines are far better than most gyms (and well-maintained). Also shout out to Spencer - he helped me join when I first joined and continued to go out of his way when I had questions the weeks following my membership setup. It always brightens my day to see him when I walk in. If you're considering joining another location because of the cost, I'd say Greenway is definitely worth it if you work or live inside the loop.

I love Lifetime Fitness Greenway from the moment you walk in to the reception area (where you are greeted with a warm smile), to the ease of gated parking to the fantastic aqua aerobics classes held in a beautiful outdoor pool, to the wide variety of exercise classes and equipment on the gym floor.

Personal trainers at Lifetime are first class, especially Bailey.

With one exception, Maggie’s classes, the yoga classes are all fantastic, especially Brett’s classes and Brittany S’s classes. I would love to attend some of the special yoga “workshops” but they are frequently expensive on top of my already expensive monthly fees.

Randy, the manager is great. Desiree, who manages member services and the front desk, is exceptional. The people who work at the front desk are all highly qualified professionals, especially Spencer and Chloe

Nan, who teaches Tai Chi and some barre classes is amazing.

I am very grateful for my Lifetime experiences. Lifetime is by far the best fitness facility I’ve ever joined.

This is by far one of the nicest best kept gyms (more like an upscale resort) I’ve ever been to. Yes the cost is high, but all the amenities makes it well worth it! It’s very clean and the customer service from the staff that range from gym floor, spa, bar, cafe, business, pool, and class instructors is top tier. You can tell they interview well. I lost my ear pods and a gentlemen by the name of Ben Bostick (belive he may be the supervisor on duty) found them for me but wouldn’t even take my $40 finders fee. Initially, visiting Lifetime Greenway was enjoyable and energizing, but its appeal has significantly diminished—especially after the price jumped from $140 to $300 when One Pass was no longer accepted at the Greenway location. As Katt Atonic noted in a recent review, “On the surface, the facility looked impressive, until you notice the lack of basic upkeep and cleanliness. Equipment was in disrepair, and everything was grimy.” I couldn’t agree more. The same stains have marked the workout area floor for over a year, the recovery area’s limited hours rarely fit most work schedules, and several pieces of equipment have remained out of order for months. Despite frequent complaints, staff only take notes, but the floor looks untouched even after a year. At $300 a month, the value simply doesn’t justify the cost—it’s only a minor upgrade over LA Fitness and still not worth it. The sole advantage is the 4 a.m. opening time.

I know this because when my friends and I mentioned going elsewhere, suddenly “spots opened up” and we were allowed to sign up.

Once inside, it’s overcrowded every evening. The gym is so packed after work hours that it’s nearly impossible to use a machine without waiting forever. And when I finally manage to get a rack, trainers constantly kick members off so they can run their classes or work with clients. Paying premium rates only to be treated like a second-class member is unacceptable.

This gym is all hype and no value. If you’re considering Lifetime Greenway, save your money and go somewhere that actually values its members.

This is more of a 4.5 star review. But Google does not allow half stars. Highlights:
Amazing coaches, ranging from yoga to CrossFit style and Orange Theory type classes.
Amazing programming for the more intense classes
The gym is kept clean and organized.
Pool deck is really like a country club.
Lap pool is terrific.

So why not a full 5 stars? Bathroom amenities are meh. The gym gets very, very crowded during peak times. Parking can be difficult - I wish they would tell people who drive trucks they have to park on the outside deck. And the cafe food is average, at best.

I don’t understand what people expect who are giving Greenway bad reviews. There are certainly pluses and minuses. But if you want perfection install your own gym!

I’ve been at Lifetime Fitness in Greenway about 3 years and think it’s the best gym in the city. The facility is super busy but they manage to keep it clean. The group instructors are well trained and they have a good variety of classes and schedule times. I also like that they have a concierge (Desiree) who is friendly, professional and responsive. The rooftop pool an extra perk that most gyms don’t have and I’ve used it for both exercise and leisure.

I visited Lifetime Fitness for the first time yesterday as a guest, seriously considering transferring to this location—but I left extremely disappointed due to how I was treated by staff, particularly a manager named Desire Hernandez.

Without justification, I was wrongly accused—along with a current member—of being inside a locker room stall together. When Desire and two other team members approached us, they quickly saw that I exited the stall alone and the other individual was already fully dressed, simply waiting nearby. Despite this, they insisted we leave the premises, which was both confusing and unwarranted given that we had done nothing wrong.

What made the situation worse was how Desire continued to hover over me after her team and the other member had already exited the locker room. I told her multiple times that I was still getting ready and that her presence was making me uncomfortable. Her refusal to respect my personal space and the way she handled the situation felt invasive and entirely inappropriate.

This experience felt less like enforcement of policy and more like targeted harassment based on an assumption. It left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome in a space that’s supposed to promote community and wellness. I expected more professionalism and courtesy from a facility like Lifetime Fitness.

You have the daycare for the kids and I think that’s wonderful. The kids get to do their own little gym. You also get to have family time with the kids at the pool. It’s really a family oriented gym which I love about that, but you can also be a couple and just enjoy working out together or individually. The machines are top-of-the-line. I love working out on them. I love the way the stations are set up. I love going into the basketball court and playing and shooting shots. I love being able to go play a little racquetball as well as tennis it’s just an overall, amazing fitness club to give you more than just a place to come and work out gives you a place where you can relax give you a place where you can grab a bite to eat get your hair done if you choose to get a massage and facial, etc. and I definitely deserve a 5+ star for me

Took the tour and was extremely underwhelmed. Staff came off as very disingenuous and the overall atmosphere was not friendly. On the surface the facility looked impressive, until you notice the lack of basic upkeep and cleanliness. Equipment was in disrepair and everything was grimy. I felt like I was trying to be sold to instead of feeling like I was joining a fitness community. Overall it just has the vibe of being somewhere to be seen rather than a home for someone on a journey to improve fitness and wellbeing.

If you’re looking for a huge gym that has a whole lot of equipment, this is it. Too bad that they can’t make repairs in a timely way. And equipment is filthy from morning till night. Black stretch mats are dirty, just look at the towel that was used to wipe before use. Never have ever seen them cleaning. Any class unironically named “alpha” should be a red flag. But double so when they take up 12 of the 15 squat racks/deadlift platforms for hours a day so they can hold half ass p90x classes. You don’t need squat racks for kettle bell swings and box jumps.

And if your personal trainer is having you do nonsense like one legged landmine Romanian deadlifts, they are a bad trainer who’s wasting both of your time. Truly some of the worst personal training programs I’ve seen. I feel bad for the people wasting their money on them.

Lifetime has trainers that bring LOUD boomboxes onto the weight floor which, put the decibel level over 90 -- high enough to cause hearing loss. I recommend bose earbuds -- their noise cancelling's the best. Also the clientele is not what you would consider professional, so even with earbuds you're not missing anything. Gym is huge but locker room is dinky, making it up close and personal for a supposedly premium facility. The outdoor pool (no indoor unfortunately) is both heated and chilled, but recently they haven't kept the temp at 80, so I may have to cancel. I hear parking has become a problem on weekends. Cleanliness is good and equipment is well maintained.

One of the worst lifetimes service wise. Way overpriced for what they offer, have a great pool though If you go with your family. A lot of their amenities are either busy, horribly managed, or broken. I spent the majority of last year dealing with AC or ceiling remodeling while I was working out. I honestly didn't know any better until I visited other lifetimes.

Culture, let me just say that the area fits the location. Not a great place to meet unbiased people. I don't wear my wedding ring when I work out, so A lot of the people I've met, always dudes who came up to me seem to be flaunting money for some reason.

They also canceled my husband's membership for no reason last week. Which is what reminded us that we haven't left our review yet. All we did is go to another lifetime and resign up using the same Aactiv account our work provides. They said they don't know why it was canceled and it was done in error. We have access again, but we'll be going to other lifetimes instead of that location.

I have never felt so unwelcome or turned off by joining a gym until I tried joining this one! Desiree, the "team lead" was very rude and snarky to me. Every time I tried to talk ask her a question, she gave me a sarcastic and rude response. Victoria just started there so I will give her some slack, but I would suggest she learn some etiquette as well. I went to tell the general manager, Randy about my experience, and he gave me a dazed look like he could care less. They just started an extra $200 initiation fee to join, which I believe is targeted for people going through insurance. I would have paid the extra fee had the customer service been up to park. They only bright spot was the yoga instructor, Celeste. Safe to say they saved me money on joining and I will take my business elsewhere.

The club needs later hours, flat out. No excuse for a premium gym to close so early, especially on the weekends. Facility is gorgeous otherwise, and the classes are great.

UPDATE (12/15/21): Bumping rating up from 3 stars to 5 as they have *finally* extended closing time from 8pm to 12am on weekdays and 11pm on weekends. The extended hours mean less congestion in the afternoons and evenings. You can even run some good games on the court as there's usually a decent crowd.

**Another update (6/2/24)**: Lifetime continues to alter their hours without warning. The club now closes at 11:00 p.m. on a daily basis. The basketball courts also have been cut in half in favor of pickleball. So this place has definitely lost a lot of its value for myself. I don't see myself being a member any longer. Lifetime definitely has lost its luster. However they continue to be fast and loose with their hours, I also have noticed a fall off in overall gym quality. The gym has gotten dirtier and the equipment has gotten more rundown and/or continuously broken since the pandemic. For the first time in a while I'm actively shopping for a new gym.

This is the best gym I have ever been to. I mean it’s so clean, everything you need is there, and it pays for itself. I love the sauna & steam rooms! The basketball courts are so clean, and are some fun runs. There are so many squat racks, and tons of equipment to choose from! The pool on the roof is the icing on the cake. Be cautious of this location!!!

I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with my recent experiences at Lifetime. The customer service has been particularly lackluster and dishonest. Upon returning from vacation, I specifically requested the front desk to reactivate only my individual membership. Despite this, both my and my partner’s memberships were reactivated without my consent, leading to significantly more charges.

When I contacted customer service to resolve the issue, they initially claimed that I couldn't receive a refund because I was not the main account holder so I am not authorized. This was perplexing because if I wasn’t the main account holder, how could I have the authority to reactivate both memberships? After I pointed out that it was my credit card being charged, they then changed their stance, simply stating they could not issue a refund for the past because it was my fault to not make it clear. This dishonesty in handling my query is unacceptable.

Additionally, the facility management is poor, with several pieces of fitness equipment broken or unable to sync with Apple Watch. Such a level of service and facility upkeep is subpar and not what one would expect from a reputed establishment like Lifetime.

For anyone considering Lifetime for their fitness needs, be aware of these serious issues with customer service and facility management.

I LOVE this gym!!!! I have been a member here for about 4 years and there is nowhere else like it. I recently moved to Dallas and the LifeTime here is not the same. If you arrive between 4:30-5pm, the sauna will be only 120 instead of the usual 170-180, as they tend to clean it during that time. However, despite the abundance of 10+ squat racks, securing one for your workout between 5pm or 8pm can be a challenge due to trainers reserving eight for their classes. Additionally, the spacious area designated for stretching and workouts is only available if you don’t exercise at 7am or between 5-6:30pm, as it’s often blocked off for trainer use. While you may be accustomed to finding massage guns and thick bands at other gyms, they’re no longer available here due to theft concerns—a recurring excuse given over the past six months.

This is my home club. Lately it hasn’t been very welcoming for me so I’ve been visiting other facilities and the difference is quite obvious. When you walk into other facilities you’re greeted with a warm welcome and encouraging words before your work out. When I walk into this club I'm immediately met with nasty looks & silence. There’s no bougie or douche-y attitude here, just serious part-time athletes and people who take themselves and their health seriously. Sadly, beautiful and well-run as lifetime is, I had to cancel my membership due to the no firearms policy.
After the sexual harassment trauma I suffered at Equinox; including the subsequent inaction and shaming by their management, I do not feel safe going anywhere without my firearm to protect myself. Despite this, I highly recommended this Lifetime, especially for women. I am

Any time the weather is slightly humid, it’s hotter than anything in the gym and the women’s locker room is a sauna. And these lights…. Why did you turn the spot lights on? Whoever made the decision to turn all these lights on in the weight room clearly does not work out. It’s very uncomfortable and very uninviting. Atmosphere is horrific in here now. However, the indoor weight-training floor is a bit compacted due to square footage. If you are not fond of the crowd, I'll suggest you try to avoid work out during rush hours.

Overall the gym is clean with mostly good staff and solid equipment. The main issue is certain days after work (5-6:30pm) the lot is full and it becomes very frustrating to navigate and find a spot. In turn, the gym is super packed. Additionally I was once told by a staff member that I couldn’t be on the pickelball court because I hadn’t reserved a time slot and I didn’t have the “premium membership” which supposedly includes pickelball court access. Love life time, especially this location. Having been a member of YMCA and LA fitness, I enjoy working out at lifetime and workout even harder and more frequently because I want to be at this gym. There is so much to do here from; working out, doing work, swimming/tanning, pickleball/basketball, networking, etc.

They raised prices and reduced hours without any explanation. Also, the staff at the front desk ( late shift, brunette girl ) are always on their phone and don’t even greet members.

We joined before the club was built. What was once a dream has turned into a nightmare. All of the original perks have been removed, the gym is dirty, overcrowded, equipment is broken, cars and lockers are constantly broken into, unprofessional staff who do nothing , but gossip with each other all day and the worst part? My family started at 236.00 a month -we are now paying 435.00 THEY RISE PRICES EVERY SIX MONTHS. This place has become an over crowded dumpster filled with the trashiest people.

NOTHING HAVE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER, SINCE I'VE WORKED THERE IN 2021, OUTSIDE OF THE PICKLEBALL, RAISING THE RATES ARE INSANE. WHAT DO I GET WITH THIS RATE INCREASE AND DO EVERYBODY GET THIS RATE INCREASE? MACHINES ARE ALWAYS OUT OF ORDER AND NO PARKIGN SPOTS AVAILABLE WHEN I COME TO THE GYM. The group training classes in the morning are very inconsiderate to rest of the members.. they do not need to blare the music so loud and yell in microphones!!! It’s ridiculous

I'm a new member and so far my experience has been great.

I was a member at Fit for 12 1/2 years and without notice they closed a little over a week ago. After touring 4 other gyms in Houston I landed on Life Time Greenway Plaza. I am not sure I would pay the full price membership but with my BCBS insurance I get a discount and pay $99/month. It is a great value.

I signed up for a tour on-line and a staff member was expecting me and started the tour on time. She was professional and answered all my questions. Completing the application was simple and no problems applying my health insurance discount.

I work out at 5 AM and there is easy parking and the gym floor is not crowded at all. It starts to get busier around 6:00. Very happy with the variety of equipment and amount of free weights.

I am looking forward to using the lap pool and have noticed that there are open lanes at 5 AM too. I am not much of a "class" person but am impressed with the options.

The locker room is clean and well equipped. The only thing I have not been completely satisfied with are the bath and gym towels. They are very thin and some are well used.......

I have found all of the staff to be friendly, approachable and helpful.

Truly a resort style gym with the best amenities in town - not a social club but focus on athletics. Great spa and kids academy. Thoroughly enjoyed the group lessons too. It’s worth the membership fee and love the fact that I can use local Life Time gyms when going on business trips.

Caroline is the best trainer! She is very knowledgeable, kind, happy, caring and amazing! She listened and created a program which addressed my health issues and made me stronger. I enjoy every session with Caroline. I highly recommend her to everyone.

Tries to do be too many things - pool club, gym, boutique fitness class, recovery clinic, work space, spa, etc, etc - and ends up not doing any of these things particularly well.

It's *extremely* loud. On top of the gym music that's already playing, be prepared to hear music blasting on full volume from their "alpha" classes. Literally cannot hear my own music while wearing over-ear noise cancelling headphones, it's that loud.

It's always super crowded except from like 10-11am.

The work lounge is fine, but feels like an after thought. The kitchenette was not well kept the several time I visited (dirty dishes, old smelly food in the fridge, etc.). Teenagers just hanging out likes it's the mall.

The recovery clinic feels like an afterthought and is never staffed. Asked a PT to help check me in to my reservation, PT told me to try at the front desk, and then front desk sent my back to check-in with a PT. Its not really clear who is responsible for that area, and again, it feels like an afterthought.

The hot yoga isn't as hot as most studios.

75% of gym-goers there aren't respectful of equipment and don't wipe things down. Not Lifetime's fault, but just to give you the vibe of their clientele.

I will say I had a very positive experience with one of their personal trainers, no qualms there.

Pros: TONS of cardio (you'll never have to wait for a treadmill and can run as long as you want), relatively clean compared to other big brand gyms, high-quality classes, good personal trainers, opens at 4am.

If you want a place to hang out for the whole day, this might be for you.

If you want a clean, not-packed place to workout with a low-key crowd, look elsewhere.
