We absolutely love hosting Ethan’s birthday parties at Life Time! For the past three years, every party has been incredibly smooth and well-attended, and we always feel so well taken care of. The supervisor Sarina is absolutely amazing and always goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The lack of hot water in the showers and restrooms is getting ridiculous, and that by paying resort-style membership fees. The constant change in operations management does not help. I have a Planet Fitness membership for my business travels and have yet to come across a PF location that was not in better condition and was cleaner. Save you money and join elsewhere! ***UPDATE***Equipment is still not maintained and constantly broken, weight stack pins on machines go missing, roof leaks, resulting in pooling waterall over the gym floor. Instead of doing necessary repairs to maintain, they are adding a "lounge" with new couches, chairs, and tables. This was the final straw for me...canceling my membership and joining EoS across the street.

The manager is very rude. She snatched a phone out of a young lady’s hand for recording herself (no one else) and then called the police & LIED saying she put hands on her. "people do that all the time, it's so weird". Heard as I was walking out the door, don't know if it was directed at me or in general. For the price you pay, you expect more professional behavior from the girls at the front desk. I walk in smile and am very polite when checking in, and have never had issues with this establishment, aside from maybe the high school kids crowding walkways. But for a luxury gym, this should require attention. Half the time they are flirting with other guys and not paying attention to their guests. After finishing a workout I want to walk out the door and not feel harassed for minding my business, my bad that the blood hasn't rushed back to my head yet. If someone appears that hostile toward someone bettering themselves everyday, regardless if its at me or someone else, you need to let them go! (Tuesday 1-2)

Kids club employee Taquandra Pratt ("TP) harasses paying members and abuses her employee membership by allowing her friends to roam the club without paying for a membership in extremely inappropriate attire.

Current club concerns:
- Failure to place used towels in bins and improper disposal of trash.
- Taking photos/video with other members in the background or in prohibited areas.
- Occupying fitness equipment without using it or not allowing others to work in on strength equipment between sets.
- Not sharing pool lap lanes during peak demand periods.
- Neglecting to clean or replace equipment after use, including re-racking weights and dumbbells.
- Engaging in loud, disruptive behavior or groups loitering in specific areas, such as the locker room or fitness floor.
- Vaping in the locker room or any other area of the club.
- Unauthorized parking in reserved spaces.

The club is extremely filthy- the cleaning crew consists of teenagers flirting with one another and using their cellphones.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service from the front desk team- Dadrien and Michelle. The managers Michelle and Trang Cleveland are horrendous at handling member complaints.

People take videos in the locker room without consequence. The security cameras in the parking lot do not work and there are an average of two car break-ins per month.
General Manager Trang C. has no prior management experience with the company and takes numerous business days to respond to phone calls and emails.

My son & I have a Life Time membership & go to this gym & the one on Will Clayton. The staff is friendly here & gym always clean, nice locker room & amenities (at both locations). This Life Time is much smaller but we go to play Racquetball here. We enjoy our time and it is also really convenient to where we live - less than 5 minutes away:-)

I have been at Life Time Fitness (LT) at Lake Houston for years. I pay for a regular membership and Pilates classes - ~$205/month. I have tried for years to get the LT app to work on my phone - 3 long calls with LT support (who referred me to the club), Lake Houston support (who referred me to LT support), and personally install / deinstall / install the app multiple times. I recently was charged $100/month because I could not book via the app that LIFE TIME SUPPORT COULD NOT MAKE WORK. When I talked with the club about it the bottom line was 'too bad'. Enough is enough!!!
After looking around, I have been a fool to stay as long as I have. Other clubs have monthly fees of $10, $22, etc. Not $82. LIFE TIME IS UP TO 8 TIMES AS EXPENSIVE. If you you all the facilities it is worth it - outdoor/indoor pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, rock climbing wall, 30+ classes, cycling studios, etc. If you do not use all the other facilities - WHY ARE YOU PAYING FOR THEM??? My research showed that I could have the same experience at 20% of the price. I then had $180/month left for specialty training of my choice OR I just saved the money - $2,160 saved in one year!!!
Why have I been so blinded????
If you are a member - LOOK AROUND. Look at what you use, NOT EVERYTHING - just what you use. You will be happy and save lots of money.

It is clean, the locker room has good amenities like razors, shaving cream, tampons (lol), lotion, hair spray and deodorant. Honestly it looks alittle run down, I know an old building in general is not going to look brand new but some little things were broken that could've been fixed or painted over or something. It's pretty small. Not a ton of machines. There wasn't a bunch of people when I went which I liked. I don't think the price is worth it honestly but not a bad gym, pretty chill and peaceful.

Paid for a membership, went twice only to see this is not a family or even adult oriented club. Alot of people loud talking (making fun) about other members. Hogging weight machines, using benches for sitting , taking selfies and texting. When I first started attending the gym the staff at the gym was pretty cordial. However it’s been a week that it’s been 10:45 pm and they come and let us know that they are about to close. If I am even in the restroom at 10:01-10:03 pm they turn off the lights on me and did not even consider to ask if anyone was there. With how much I pay on my membership, this is not ok. What is wrong with waiting 5 mins for someone to use the restroom. Even then when I told them that I was there all they could say was that well it’s 10:09 pm right now; when they turned the light off on me at 10:03 pm. Seriously, not ok to not treat others well. I am definitely going to switch gyms.

I LOVE THIS GYM! Many will say this place is overpriced but living in maimi my husband and i use to pay $170 EACH for a gym that didn’t even include HALF the things this place offers. Even with covid i feel very safe. Temperature check ins and the equipments are apart. the weight area upstairs i always keep my face mask on just for precaution but the staff is nice and eveyone is very helpful here. I wish this review could be more positive, as I have for the past 5 years been a Lifetime Fitness - Diamond Member. I recently bought a house in Kingwood and downgraded my membership to Gold, with the expectation that exceptional (or at least adequate) customer service by Lifetime staff would be upheld. This was anything but the case. The front desk staff were unwelcoming, rude, misinformed about club policies, passive-aggressive, and the child care staff offered unsolicited advice on how my child should be cared for. These negligent and discriminatory behaviors exhibited by most every staff member on a consistent basis led me to cancel my membership with Lifetime Fitness-Kingwood, leaving a bitter stain of anguish and complete disregard for the brand I was once so loyal to.

Have been going to this gym for about 2 and a half years. The staff is friendly, the childcare is awesome childcare staff especially Paula is superb and the amenities are awesome. My sole problem comes from the fact they have 4 squat racks downstairs then will put a class in the area where the squat racks are, even though their not using them. But they block access to other members who want to use the squat racks. They could move the class to the other side of the curtain where its empty. To allow other paying members to still use the equipment especially when the class is just doing calisthenic type exercises. Also they should get a new trap bar as theirs is absolute garbage and a bar jack so it's easier to change out their rubber bumper plates.

First off let my say I have been attending this gym for over a year now and could not be any more pleased! A very special shout out to all the incredible yoga instructors! Especially Heather, and her Surrender class, she is by far one of the most amazing instructors I’ve even come across and has really made me fall in love with my Yoga practice all over again. If you practice yoga, they have a beautiful yoga studio that I promise will transform your day. Inside, although private and separate from the other work out sections, it provides the perfect place to get your Zen on. They provide all the equipment you need along with your membership, perfect cushy mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters - even scented towels and candles for Shavasana. This gym offers a variety of Yoga classes sure to accommodate your practice and the instructors are well trained, top notch in the field. The best part is this.... the cost, it’s very affordable. One because they provide the props and beautiful studio. Two because if you were going to do a drop in class anywhere it would cost you $25 or more per class, here your membership pays for unlimited classes and you can enjoy the pool, other classes and all work out equipment, a very good value. The major one i have a problem with is that

One of the workers here named Sierra at the cafe often made the protein shakes incomplete. I.E. not blending them all the way so i got chunks of ice, did not add all the ingredients, or the correct serving size, etc. So when it came to knowing what i got in the shake (protein, carbs, fats) it was a guessing game. So much so i decided not to buy shakes anymore.

But another worker named Lindsey Ear(r?)on was a great worker and great person to talk to. She obviously enjoyed working there and always made the shakes correctly and even suggested new things to us. She definitely deserves a raise of some sorts. She was such a help and a lovely person to be around.

That is all i really have to say about this place.

Carina Delgado said that there was no problem for them allowing my daughter workout with me all I had to do was bring the note from the doctor and she was going to put her on my file and I had to make sure don’t leave her by herself during the workout, so after 8 months paying almost $300 a month and working out without any issues suddenly I’m told she’s not allowed in the workout area. So if I can’t do that I have no reason to stay there I’m going where they want my money. But surprise!! I can’t do that because they say I need 30 days notice To cancel and they still want me to pay again next month even after they know i was lied to by one of the employees just to get me to sign and get my money! Again... DO NOT JOIN!!

I've come here for 3 months now; I've been in the early morning 6am workouts, the 6pm rush hour, and 2pm quiet times. I don't usually have to wait for a machine, but if I do, there are plenty of substitutes to be found around the area. Most of the machines are also grouped in an area, so it makes it easy to flit between machines on particular muscle group days.

I used to be a member of the San Antonio Lifetime gyms, which were platinum tier, and this gym is every bit that, but at a gold level. I have yet to do any classes, but they seem to be comfortably filled; there is enough room to easily join up, but enough people that you won't be the fifth person in the room.

They also have, what I refer to as, a Crossfit area. There are several squat racks that abut a large open space where tire flips/rope climbs/rowing/etc can be easily done within a 20-40 jaunt. Easily one of the better setups for these type of workouts if you're trying hard for times.

I also find everything to be nicely cleaned. Members tend to pick up/clean after themselves, and I've also seen staff regularly clean up as well. I've never seen sweat soaked equipment, or fraying seats in here.

I've been attending for about two weeks now and I love it so far. It's the most I've ever gone to a gym in my entire life. The whole place has a great vibe. The employees I've encountered were all very helpful. I love the vast amenities that they offer included in their membership. My daughter LOVES the daycare which is a big burden off my shoulders because she's already in daycare during my work day. It gives me a chance to get my health under control without feeling guilty because she wants to keep playing when I go pick her up!

Pros:
Great daycare with attentive and kind staff. Good safety measures too.
Awesome huge pools both inside and outside
Really big locker rooms with private showers (with shampoo, soap and towels included)
Hair dryers plugged in all over the locker room free to use
Key to your locker is connected to a big safety pin so it's easy to take with you
SO MANY cardio machines of all kinds. Rows and rows of them
A ton of weight training equipment
Big variety of classes included with the membership (TCX will kick your butt! I'm still incredibly sore)

Cons:
Life Cafe is pricey
I haven't tried the spa but I hear it is also expensive
Membership is expensive (but it feels like it balances out if you use it a lot)
Daycare is 2 hours only so technically two parents can't really work out separately during the day and use the daycare unless they each only do one hour. It's 2 hours per membership, per day. Period. But I get that. It's to prevent people from treating it like an actual daycare for the whole day.
Shampoo and soap are a combination dispenser which doesn't work for some hair.

DO NOT join this club. Their customer service absolutely horrendous and the Amy, the manager of the aquatics department is one of the nastiest women I have ever come in contact with. Don't get me started on Ms Stacy, one of the swim instructors, and the way she treats small children is appalling.

The GM will not return phone calls and the other "management" acts as if they are above you, even though you are the one paying their salaries. We were in swim classes for 3 days per week (3 children) for over 8 months and didn't have any issues until we came in contact with Amy and Ms Stacy.

I have to give this one a "meh." I had a nice first consult with the trainer while my wife's could hardly be deemed a consult. I actually wanted to start with the trainer, but after he failed to follow up on promises the first couple of times (e.g. getting workout plan), I decided that I would pass. I paid for the Platinum membership in order to get access to the tennis courts. However, despite being told that I could reserve courts online, I cannot and have to count on the tennis clerk to call me back to reserve courts. It's inconvenient but has worked out so far. Also, all the services and certain training programs are extremely inflated in terms of pricing. Awfully steep when your monthly is already pushing $200.

Also, it would be nice to cater a bit more to working stiffs when it comes to morning classes and not just folks who don't work or who can waltz into their job at 9a.m. to 10. a.m.

That's the bad. The good? (1) pay a little more and avoid being tied to a contract; (2) nice folks; (3) nice atmosphere; and (4) good amount of space and variety of equipment for those who are independent and have experience. Also, everyone seems to be very respectful to one another.
