We recently hosted birthday parties for each of our kids at Lifetime, and each time we got nothing but rave reviews. There are a variety of activities to pick from (bounce house, gym games, swimming, rock climbing, etc), all of which the kids have a blast with. There is a dedicated party coordinator, Sarina, who is very organized and ensures you have the best time. On the day of the event, you get two party hosts who help decorate and keep everything running smoothly. Their cafe onsite provides the pizza as well as a variety of other food items you can add to customize your party. They are very easy to work with, you get a private party, and the kids have a blast. I can’t recommend them enough - truly a hidden gem in our area!

Lifetime Fitness is a luxury gym with superior facilities compared to local competitors, including steam room, dry sauna, and indoor/outdoor pools—ideal for swimmers. I frequent the location at Will Clayton and W. Lake Houston Pkwy.

However, recent management changes have eroded value through strict policies, poor offerings, and neglected upkeep (especially locker rooms). I’ve provided feedback, but issues persist, including unreliable locks that frequently malfunction. I had one more class after a long time at the Pilates room. What a mess they have made it. Mirrors are not aligned or sized properly and equipment is not well maintained.

Management has oddly converted office space into generic counter height workspaces, which feels irrelevant to fitness goals. Specialty training areas would make sense, but this seems like a misguided hotel-like concept.

I kept my membership (was due to expire in October) solely for the ultimate personal trainer, Mariah Johnson (5/5). She excels at assessing needs from trial sessions onward, mastering nutrition, muscle balance, mobility, and flexibility—perfect for clients like me. Her humor is a bonus. Request her and say I sent you!

The team members are so patient with my toddler for some reason cannot acclimate Anywhere my daughter who is two years old can be a real handful. I absolutely LOVE this location. The staff is always so kind and the facility is ALWAYS clean. I am a germaphobe and I feel very confident walking barefoot throughout the pool area and the locker rooms. (I can't say the same for other locations.) They offer the best Birthday Parties for kids.( we've had 4 there in the last 2 years) Serina the party coordinator is so on top of absolutely everything! The party staff is so attentive and efficient. We will be hosting many more parties! They have such a great child care team at this location as well. Shannon is my kids favorite person to see. I'm a helicopter parent, and I have entrusted my children for over 2 years without a single incident. My kids always have a great time and the staff is always kind to them. They have a Basketball program, my son loves going! Coach Bowman is such a great coach and kind person. When I have family visit, I bring them and they are always welcome as if they are members themselves. I read some previous reviews and I have to strongly disagree!! I was sad to see people complain about the price because there are plenty of cheap gyms. But this is not just a gym there are so many amenities and you don't want it to be too cheap, because it would be overcrowded. This facility is very safe and I have never had an issue with worrying about my stuff being taken. I think some people need to be realistic, you get what you pay for. We are not wealthy and yet we make room in our budget for the things that benefit our family and we like to invest in companies that treat us well. We have always been treated very well at this facility by each and every staff member.
The front desk staff is always so welcoming!!! I wish I could give 10 Stars!!

We love Lifetime!!!! My family has been members at this gym for several years. My husband and I both love the amenities included, but especially the kids academy. It’s hard to make exercise a priority if you have kids who hate going to the gym daycare. My kids beg to go to the Kids Academy even when mom and dad didn’t plan on working out that day. They have so much fun doing everything from basketball, nerf gun wars, Spanish classes and rock wall climbing. The staff is very attentive and takes wonderful care of my kids while mom and dad get to decompress and take care of themselves.

I was hesitant to get a trainer because I've worked out most of my life. Beatriz approach with technique improvement exercises and offered me to train me but I still hesitated. A second time came around and I booked her and I'm so glad that I did. She's guides my workouts, i've gained muscle, fixed my form and lost weight including body fat. We’ve been loyal Lifetime members for years. When we had our first child, it was only $30 more per month to add her — fair and reasonable. But now, with our second child, we’re being forced to “upgrade” our account, which effectively raises our rate by $100/month. That’s not an upgrade, that’s a penalty for having another child.

This kind of pricing feels unfair to long-time loyal members and makes us question whether Lifetime values families or just higher fees.

I just joined Lifetime Fitness yesterday, and today was my first time visiting the café after spending time at the pool. Cameron (I believe he’s the manager) was absolutely amazing! The facility is nice but for the price…it is not worth it! I’ve been a member for 7yrs and I just cancelled my membership! Each year, the fees went up but the amenities never upgraded the experience. In fact, they went down. They are no longer open 24hrs. The classes they offer are not as good as they once were. And please do not find a class you really like. They will change the schedule of when the classes are offered and have them at the most unreasonable time. Do not waste your time or money coming here unless you want to be a part of a money pit!

For $150 a month masquerading as a top tier gym this place equipment constantly broken. Carabiners, weight pins, worn out seat cushions and bench pads, missing dumbbells and more.
The maintenance put in to machines is one of the primary reasons a gym can attain top tier status.
I’ve been here for 9 months 5-7 days a week straight and there are still things broken from when I first started here, just because the items are getting by are the only reason they aren’t fixed.
On top of that this place has wayyy too many people sitting on their phones here making it way less enjoyable to workout here.
The perks do not equal the monthly cost compared to most all of the other lifetime gyms in town.

UPDATE: this gym has had their air conditioning out for months now and now that summer is here it’s still a sweaty mess in this place. Machines are still broken all the time, cable carabiners are always barely working, it took them over 5 months to fix the calf raise machine alone, the steam room has been broken for over a month, water fountains only give you warm water.
The only upgrade I’ve seen in over a year is they finally changed one of their two 30 person hot tubs into a cold plunge.
Otherwise this place has forgotten the only reason we pay $150/month is to have great maintenance, cold air conditioning, and cold water fountains, and a great workout experience. This place is so far from that.

*For Basketball Hoopers!* I really like this gym overall especially the basketball court, which is the main reason I signed up. It has great potential and a good vibe for hooping. However, the one downside is that the court isn’t cleaned properly. There’s often dust on the floor, and it can get slippery even when wearing new basketball shoes. For $150/month, I think it’s fair to expect the court to be polished or at least consistently well-maintained. I hope management takes this into consideration and gives the court the attention it deserves!

This is my favorite Life Time Fitness. I will drive an extra 45 minutes to go to this Life Time! The recovery equipment (compression, cryo/heat bed, water body massage, etc.), body composition machine, and the locker room sauna and steam. Everything is so accessible. You seldom see the recovery equipment in the Missouri City facility used.

It seems like they also do a great job maintaining the equipment. Very seldom do you see a machine not working. Nice clientele and staff. I don’t think there is a better run gym in the Houston area. I love this place!

The daycare here is an absolute joke. The staff is rude and does not take any accountability for when things happen to your child. After 3 incidents, which is honestly way too many, they never knew what happened to my son or who was scratching him. Today the manager told me my son, 3.5 year old, was the common denominator. They assure you they have eyes on them at all times, but can never explain the marks/scratches on my son. He pointed out who the kid was, but they have no solutions. Even when my son was clearly stating another child scratched, they were attempting to change his account of events by telling him maybe he got scratched by the slide. They absolutely do not care to better the situation. There are way too many kids for the amount of staff. You are throwing your kid into a lion’s den.

I've been a member at for the past few months, and overall, I’ve been really impressed. The facility is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Came to check it out to see if it's worth the price and sure, it has a lot of amenities and sorts included which is convenient but this place is NOT clean. Look at the Sauna. Dust galore. How do you not keep up with the bare minimum in cleaning? People are paying top dollar for this gym that, in hindsight, is not the largest gym floor area. An LA Fitness has a tone more floor space and it's a fraction of the price. It's a shame LA Fitness is not around the area because I really miss that since moving here.

I always thought this gym was impressive. You pay more than anywhere else, but you definitely get more than any other gym offers too. Lifetime is more than a gym. It has a cafe, a salon, multiple pools, multiple saunas, summer camps, a rock climbing wall and that is honestly just the tip of the iceberg. No other fitness club comes close, without a doubt.
I initially thought this place was impersonal for the amount of staff and members it has at any given time, but I learned quickly it is like a family. Just takes a few visits and you quickly become a part of it. This gym is literally my home away from home. And it is for a lot of the other members and their families too. It is worth every penny.

Where do I begin with this scam Life time has going on. Not only have they discontinued their family membership, but now also jacked up all the prices. Another scam is trialing for 30days, you can’t. You need to pay a full 30 days , but wait, you can’t cancel for 8 days after. This means you have to pay basically 2 months. Garbage set up and I cannot believe people would want this going forward.

This gym used to be really nice. Now it’s basically a glorified planet fitness. Regular vehicle break ins, disgusting and hot gym area. Absolute WORST customer service EVER!!!! The worst! Never a manager on duty. I was refused entry even though I showed them my payment. It's automatically drafted every month. They stated there was a glitch in the system and they still wouldn't let me in even though, I showed them proof of payment. I asked to speak to a manager, of course, no one was available. I asked them to call a manger, of course, they wouldn't do that either. When you are a member, you expect to be treated like one.
In addition to that, the Lockers rooms are dirty! Steam room rarely works. and when it does, it's filthy!!!
Gym was much better a decade ago, going down hill fast. And I've heard nightmares about their kids club, just DISAPPOINTING all the way around.

The worst gym I’ve ever gone to and I’ve gone to a lot of gyms EOS, 24 Hour Fitness, Crunch, Anytime Fitness, and many many more in different states around the country. Management isn’t worried about anyone’s safety especially women’s safety and will not help if you know someone is stalking and harassing you in the gym. Yoga classes have been taken over by horrible teachers including some that haven’t even been trained in the yoga that Lifetime is supposed to teach so you can’t even get a good workout in. Heat hasn’t worked for over a year in the yoga room so don’t expect heated yoga because you’re not going to get it. Locker rooms are always disgusting - sauna will have trash sitting in it for DAYS before someone will actually do anything about it. I’ve quit this gym and waited to do this review because I hoped that someone especially the general manager would do something to try to resolve this instead I’ll NEVER be returning and highly recommend for NO ONE to sign up here EVER.

Fix the ab machine it’s been over 2 months with practically no other machines to replace it with. I’ll update this review once when it’s functional. Paying too much for broken machines with no sign of them being fixed in a timely manner.

This gym is like my 2nd home. The staff at this gym are so warm and caring. I absolutely love the Spa staff. Sepideh, is the face of the Spa and the gym. She greets everyone so warm and is always smiling. I never seen her in a bad mood. Soheila, the Spa Esthetician, has magic fingers. She truly loves her job and I always feel like royalty with her. The trainers are fierce and great!

Wanted to see the gym around 7. Place looks nice but front desk person said he was left alone and no one could help me. Why is he all alone with the parking lot full of cars at a prime time? It doesn’t seem like they should be struggling to employ people based on the amount of people in there.

Really enjoy the club however I was not happy with the decision to eliminate the tennis courts and construct pickleball courts in place of. They could have made a better decision.

Always a great experience! No matter my day I am always able to have a warrior mindset here.

I also always look forward to the competitions and goal setting events such as Ultra Games, which would make a great opportunity for us members to see how our consistency and perseverance pays off! I just wish that it was gym wide like the old 90 day challenge or 60 day challenges that use to be more common!

Lifetime is by far the best gym to go to if you are willing to pay a premium price. This gym has a lot of amenities that most gyms do not offer. Lifetime has accommodations for the entire family. As for the weight lifting and cardio equipment, you will see a lot of equipment there that you won't see anywhere else. I have been a member for over 10yrs now.

I have been going to this gym for years, but today there has been a concerning incident. While using the gym facilities, someone opened my locker. Luckily nothing valuable was missing, but it makes me feel pretty uneasy. There have been a few reviews from other members about this issue as well.

I reported the incident to the staff, but their response was not as reassuring as I had hoped. It would have been great if they were more proactive in addressing the issue and providing guidance on how to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Too many noisy kids for the price this gym charges. People want to relax during their workouts and it doesn't help when they are hearing a lot of screaming kids every where.

Very rude trainers that will scream and kick you out of the squat racks if you don’t pay for extra classes. Dirty , stains everywhere on the floor. Very overpriced for how you get treated. Don’t ask to speak to the manager Mrs.Trang is too busy to hear you.

I have been a member of lifetime for about 6 months, Their restrooms are extremely dirty. I also want to point out that Most of their machines in the treadmill section don’t work. And another thing is that it’s always full. In my 6 months of coming here i have struggled to even get to the weights area because it’s always full. For the money i pay monthly i would atleast want to use the weights every once in a while. I wish i had a better experience considering the amount of money i paid. Do not recommend!!

Won't come back here. Unpleasant employee Marissa at child care. Rude to her coworkers and thinks it's ok to also be rude to customers. I attempted to get information about memberships today. One of the ladies in the front desk "Concierge Manager - Jean" was apparently not having a good day. Since the minute I arrived to the club she looked and spoke to me in a very demeaning way almost racist I can say. She seemed very bothered providing me with information about the memberships, how the "third party" insurance plans worked and just in general. I had to tell her that I did not want to continue talking to her or getting the information from her. She stated there was not one else to help me, and I responded that it was best if I come in a different time with a different person. I told her that I did not appreciate her attitude towards me, she did not apologize or tried to change her demeanor. I will expect if someone at the club is interested on my business to reach out to me. You should be able to see my name, email address and phone on your system since I filled the information in the ipad. It so dissipating that I get treaded like this even when I am not even a club member yet, this should not be the first impression someone should have when they walk in into this club.

This Life Time is worth the money. No other gym in the area has an inside & outside pool & lap pool, big hot tubs. Love, love playing pickleball now. Pickleball is full a lot & equipment for weight training isn't as vast as cardio equipment-my only complaint but still really enjoy my gym time. My son also plays basketball sometimes.
All staff is very friendly. Gym patrons also respectful & nice.
Haven't utilized the cafe shop/smoothie bar yet.

I had a wonderful time at the fitness club I shot basketball and I haven't shot basketball in approximately 10 years needless to say my game was off. And then I decided not to lift weights I wanted to just relax and I did the sauna and steam room and it was to die for very impressive I highly endorse lifetime and if I were going to be in Texas longer I probably would have gotten a temporary short-term membership if they offer them but I'll be returning.

We’re Lifetime members in another state and consider it a high quality gym. We visited his location while delayed at IAH and likely fared worse than we would have at one of those $10/month gyms. My husband’s locker was broken into, and all his cash and credit cards were stolen. At least the criminal who is a member here was kind enough to leave his passport behind when he discarded it in the bathroom, so we were still able to make our flight to New Zealand. Pool was in need of paint and cleaning, but hot tub was nice and warm.

I just joined this gym and I absolutely love it! The staff is friendly (especially Holly who I see everyday) and helpful and there is such a positive energy from the other people who work out here! So far I have done my own workouts, met with a personal trainer twice, and done various studio classes! When you are into fitness and health, you are investing in yourself. Life Time Athletic is worth every penny! Highly recommend!

Been coming here for 4 years or so. We love this gym. Equipment in great shape and if broken, usually repaired quickly. Very clean, staff is nice especially at the child center. We leave our daughter there while we workout and there are times she doesn't want to leave. Plenty of classes to choose from. Pools and jacuzzi's are always clean. Only thing I wish is that family time swimming was later in the day in the off season.

Nice place to do various activities. I liked the climbing wall, yoga classes and 3 large pools, one of which is outside. I also saw new courts for playing picoball, but I didn’t know what it was, and Christopher told me very kindly and friendly about this game, which made me very interested in trying it, and he also charged me with his activity and positive mood from a beaming smile

Gym is outstanding. Staff is great. Amenities no one else has for the cost. Large free weight section and more cardio stuff than anyone will ever use. Who even likes cardio?

Too many people sit on machines and watch stuff on their phones. How to address this? I don’t have that answer but it’s a problem and I’m being real here. I hate it. It’s a dumb problem to have. Maybe if they buy more than one hamstring curl or two quad extension machine it might help……just saying. These seem to be the most popular to sit and not do a thing but play with their phones.

Security is an issue. REPEATED auto break-ins in the lot. A high end establishment should address this issue. An 8x10 at the front desk denying any liability is not addressing a known security problem.

If member safety and security mattered, I’d give 5 stars. When I have to stress about getting my car broken into or stolen, I can’t give 5 stars under any circumstance.

The pool is amazing. I am very familiar with the lifetime pool staff, as I spend a lot of my time in the hot tub and sauna. Let me tell you, the lifeguards are the most friendliest people you will meet!
