This is honestly the best gym in SA. Starting with the great workouts and the friendly trainers! I joined about 2 in a half years ago and it was the best thing. I worked out my whole pregnancy which helped me soooo much and my delivery was so easy and smooth. The trainers help modify workouts for you which I love ! I love working out at this Gym. Staff is not staff. They are family 😄. They really care about you and want you to feel safe during the workout !!! Madabolic has been a great experience so far! I love being able to just show up, work out, & leave without having to think about what weights or work out to do. Mike & Greg are great, make you feel comfortable but also push you to get better. There is a lot of jumping & push-ups, so be prepared for that lol. They also do mean it that the doors lock at class start, “be great, not late!”. I have absolutely gotten stronger & can tell in my every day life the benefits I’ve gotten since working out here. I have also gained some new friends, everyone that works out there is so nice & many friendly faces - shout out to the noon crew! I do wish there were more class times during the day, but thats only because I’m sad when I can’t make it during my normal noon time slot (stupid job lol). Trust me, you’ll start to get addicted coming here!

Me and my husband wanted to join a gym that made you feel comfortable, helped you with form and technique and doesn’t judge you, so a couple of friends recommended MAD and after our first class we LOVED IT! :) The workouts are intense but you find out what your body can really do and you feel AMAZING after the workout. I LOVE MADabolic! It's such a unique training experience. The staff and other clients are very supportive and friendly. There is a great atmosphere of positivity and encouragement. The trainers are knowledgeable and constantly checking your form to make sure you get the most out of each movement without hurting yourself. I've been attending classes for about a month and a half now and have yet to do the same workout twice. I'm already noticing gains in how I look and feel. I'm 47 years old and after only a month and a half feel better than I have in years! Pretty cool experience. Something different than your typical workout. If you're looking to improve your functionality and get a great sweat on this is the place for you. They have a pretty wide variety of things to do. Be sure to bring your water with you and be prepared to sweat. I highly recommend attending Isis classes, she's a great instructor and really gets you motivated. Very detailed instructions through every exercise and very good warm up before you begin. I'm looking forward to the next class.

I was encouraged by these crazy (albeit very fit-looking individuals) to continue to attend their workouts through my injury. I thought they were crazy... But like my sister Hazel always said, "If you want to be someone else, then change your mind." It took a few workouts before I really realized how crazy they are. Best gym ever. MAD is where high intensity training meets CrossFit. It’s the perfect combination to stay in shape, tone or build muscle where you want it. There are times when the floor work looks so intimidating but the trainers help guide you and correct you without making you feel like failure. They make the workouts feel great everytime. I have so many positive things to say about MAD! First, I love the diversity of the workouts. Some days you’re go go go and your heart rate is high, while others are focused on strength. It’s a great balance, especially when compared to other class type workouts in the area. Absolutely love Madabolic La Cantera! If you’re looking for a gym that offers both strength weight training and HIIT style workouts, this is place for you! All workouts are group training classes and all the workout movements are provided for you. Madabolic focuses on 3 different types of workouts throughout the program: Momentum, Durability and Anaerobic. All exercises are about 40-45 min. The trainer will demonstrate each exercise before we start. Really focusing on form. And there are 5 different levels to choose from per class from beginner to expert. The entire staff from owners, front desk attendants and most definitely the coaches are AMAZING! They are there for you every step of the way!! Aside from exercises, they also offer a nutrition blueprint which guides you on how to manage your diet specific to your personal goals! Highly recommend giving it a try!

There’s something special about MAD. Where other places have you aim to keep your heart rate up doing random things, repping out light weights and running on treadmills, this place has you pushing weights you never thought you could. Anaerobic days push you like you’ve never been pushed before, Momentum days teach you to pace yourself(or pay for it 🤮), and Durability days test your mental fortitude at a slowed gritty pace. The amazing trainers work hard to push you but keep you injury free. The amazing community is the cherry on top! Love this gym and so happy to call it my training home! Also much better than f45, just wasn’t the same kinda workout I get when I go to MAD.

I loved training MADabolic La Cantera Heights recently! I was able to get a session in while visiting San Antonio for a conference. The facilities are fantastic! The MAD session's focus and movements provided an energetic burst to my day! The trainer (Tyra) who lead our MAD session was awesome! Not to mention great culture and vibes amongst the other clients! After years of trying different gyms and workout regimens, I have FINALLY found what I’ve been looking for with Madabolic! The workouts are insanely tough but have pushed me to levels I never thought I’d reach. The trainers are amazing and the people in general are wonderful. I truly feel as if I have found my Fit Family here. Additionally, the gym is large and I never feel as if the person next to me is encroaching on my space. This was a big drawback at other gyms I have tried. In summary, since joining, I’m in the best shape of my life and I’m stronger than I have ever been. My wife and I love this place! We had actually been looking into a new gym for a while, and thankfully some friends recommended this gym to us. We died our first class! The workouts are designed to really test your body. And the trainers push you to really reach your full potential. What we love the most is that the staff really creates a welcoming environment and they really care about helping you reach your goals. Let me start by saying I did not previously have a very regular exercise routine and hadn’t previously done anything like CrossFit before either, so I when I first learned about MADabolic, I was a little anxious about whether it would be the right fit or doable for me especially with a crazy work schedule. Now 3 months in, I can’t imagine not going and miss it when I am out of town - I have even looked for classes in other cities while traveling. Before I ever even attended a single class, I was pleasantly surprised when one of the trainers reached out to me to welcome me and just ask if I had any questions before attending my first class. I was glad to find out there are in fact graduated levels for the different exercises and have felt a sense of accomplishment to be able to see progress in moving up through those levels even after only 3 months.

By nature, I am not an early riser, but I love the 5AM crew and even though it’s crazy early, it has been such a fun experience to get to know the other attendees and to have a great group to workout with at that hour and keep me motivated to keep coming back – the fear of being locked out is also a great motivator :) ! As a physician with a variable work-day length which starts early, I am thankful there is a 5AM class. By the time I leave work the last thing I want to do is work-out, so getting it out of the way early really helps me feel like I have started my day out strong and has also helped increase my energy. One of the things that bothered me about other exercise programs I had tried in the past was the monotony, but here I love that we have durability, momentum and even yes, the anaerobic days and that the exercises and the equipment we use is different every day. So, overall MADabolic is fantastic, and I am so thankful to be a part of this community. It has really helped my overall health and fitness, so thanks y’all.
