After about a year of trying to check this gym out, due to my work conflicts, the staff welcomed me from day 1. Staff is there to make sure your form is correct and I appreciate that, they don't redirect you in an embarrassing way, it's very helpful especially when unfamiliar with movements. I enjoyed my trial week and quickly knew I needed to join. I look forward to going to the gym and I can't wait to see the results in my body and and confidence level lifted. I'm so happy that I finally was able to get to this gym. You will not be disappointed.

I have been coming here for a few months and it is seriously one of the best fitness experiences I've ever had.
The first thing you notice when you walk in is the studio itself: it's clean, it has a cool aesthetic, and the equipment is really nice. I generally come to the 5:30 am classes and there is something impressive at seeing the room and equipment set up in a crisp, professional fashion before the workout. All of the equipment is branded (from the dumbbells to the kettlebells to the Ski/Row/Bike Concept 2s). There's even a great graffiti wall to take your post-workout photos against.
The next thing that impresses me is the programming. You are encouraged to get four classes in a week. And if you focus on getting your four in, whatever combination you get in a week is sure to help you meet your fitness goals. Each day, all classes are one of three themes (all time slots are the same workout/theme). Each theme has an intensity and some kind of method. Momentum ("respect the build") is going to help teach you to pace your effort while moving you through combinations of athletic movements, while progressing you through increasing intensities. Anaerobic is going to challenge you both in effort and weight to make you push your limits. And Durability, in my mind, helps put you back together--stability training while also testing your stamina.
(Personally, as a former boutique fitness instructor, the programming is one of the most appealing things to me about MADabolic as it's so well thought out. The classes play with many different concepts and across the sum of their programming taking these classes make you a versatile athlete/human being. I will be working out and think about things: multi-planar movement, time under tension, rotation/anti-rotation, grip strength, isometrics vs static active vs eccentric lengthening/stretching...understanding these concepts as you workout is not required... It just means that the MADness is well thought out. :) )
But one thing you won't find in a MADabolic work out is someone screaming at you to do more. That's not this place's style. I believe this place embraces the Arthur Ashe quote "Start where you are, use what you got, do what you can." No one is going to shame you for needing to take a break, or getting a lighter weight. Recovery is an important aspect of MADabolic workouts.
And this leads me into the last and most important thing that impresses me about this studio...the people. The teachers are well-trained: they all have extremely consistent and intelligently curated scripts they use to describe the exercises each day. But they also train the instructors to guide new people through not only the gym but the workout in a compassionate way. Instructors are very mindful about how they move through a room—they’re not going to walk in front of you as you are swinging a kettle bell. They don't wear mics so that if they provide movement feedback to a student, it’s done privately and not “SHAWN, YOU SUCK AT KETTLE BELLS!”
The other people besides you when you take a class, the other students, are great, too. There are lots of fist bumps and high fives throughout class and after. And everyone is willing to help you take that photo for instagram!
This is an incredible studio and I feel so lucky to have found something like it close to my home. If you are willing to be consistent and be reasonable in how you workout, the investment you make in this studio will reap you benefits.

Great trainers and location. Super clean with a HUGE training floor and check in area. The workout was awesome (even though I almost died lolol) and I felt right at home like I was in charlotte. My ONLY recommendation is to have benches or some type of seating out in the check in area. people who don’t like wearing their training shoes to and from their workout can sit and change their shoes. I felt weird sitting on the floor so I balanced and changed shoes standing up. Haha! Walked to the car and changed out of my shoes back into my regular street shoes. No big deal but definitely something to think about!!

MADabolic has been amazing!!! Every.Single. Class is challenging and not the same! As a wife and mom of 3, this has been the one place I can go to and know my time away just for me, is well worth the burn… and not to mention the motivation I have needed to get back in shape, and healthy physically and mentally!!!! Highly recommend for all but especially for parents needing that 50 minutes of one heck of a workout!! Alex and the other trainers are so encouraging!! I never see them just sit and watch, they walk around guiding, teaching and getting you hype the entire time! You do not get that just anywhere and I have been to many gyms and fitness studios!!

I started MADabolic in April of 2023. I was working out at another gym for 2 years and the results had me at a plateau. I was frustrated and not sure my next steps because I’m loyal and had created many friendships. I did a free trial and l tried all 3 styles of class and was hooked. The first time I came alone. The 2nd time my husband, who had also felt burned out from our other gym came and we were hooked. We signed up that day. It did take me awhile to find a time that worked best for me, but now I have and I look forward to my workouts every week! I’ve completed around 160 classes and can’t wait to hit 200! The trainers are well educated and must take an intense training to coach at MAD. You can tell the difference. I’m pushed, lifting heavier than I ever have and strong. The boxing element is new for me and I love it so much! If you’ve been seeking change, this is it!

Things I love about MADabolic:
- the coaches: they are amazing! They know what they’re talking about & how to push you in a safe & effective way
- the programming: it just makes sense! I love the cycles throughout the year & deload week. The rest to work ratios during the workouts 🤌
- the space: it’s the perfect size! There’s more than enough space so you don’t feel like you’re going to hit your neighbor & it’s so clean!
- the community: everyone is so welcoming in class! It makes you want to go to class just to see everyone
My favorite thing is the weight selection! It’s one of the few group fitness classes where I actually go heavy with the weight & I love it! I can tell I’ve gotten stronger from taking the classes.

MAD is a special kind of gym, it is the closest to a personal training gym I have attended since having 1on 1 training. The entire staff is great! The coaches demo each exercise, during class they walk through to ensure you have proper form. If not, they offer correction, make sure you understand it, and circle back to check that you are implementing it. They will also talk with you to make sure you understand the adjustment. I'm very excited a previous coach of mine recommended this gym to me!

MADabolic has been one of my best investments or shall I say, thee best!! I know that I have greatly extended my life expectancy rate and my physician is happy with my stats!! Everyone at work notices the changes in my attitude and physiology. lol. It's great!! The owner Adam is a super cool guy. Very approachable! I have been training in Alex's classes for a while and I cannot rave enough about him. Appreciate his patience and personal training. Stellar mindset and a very disciplined person. All the instructor's make me feel like I can push and do one more... rep, come back and try again!! This business recognizes levels of strength in addition to age acutely. 😉

It only took 1 class to get me hooked on this place. I've worked out at every fitness studio you can think of, but this has been the most welcoming, purposeful and exciting studio I've ever been to. The workouts are meaningful!!! You can tell week to week that there is a lot of thought into the movements and it's not repetitive. The trainers focus on your form, accommodate injuries, and have killer playlists. Can't recommend enough!!!!!

Every time I go to a class I feel like I am getting a great workout with proper form and guidance from the trainer. I like that I get feedback at the moment to correct the form if needed. And I like that I can always go heavier or lighter on weights just have to let the coach know so they can bring the proper weights over to you. I can already see how much stronger I have gotten since I first joined on 11/12/2022. Cant wait to see how much my body will change in the new year.

MADabolic is a results designed workout!
I've had personal trainers in the past, gym memberships and HIIT classes and while those were good... MADabolic is GREAT! Personal training was expensive and got boring, the traditional gym required too much thought when I was there and HIIT just didn't get the results I really wanted.
MADabolic is all the fun and accountability of a group setting, attention to form and technique by the trainers (that key in on the specifics of the movement) and all I have to do is show up and work! I've been at this gym for a little over a month and I'm so glad I made the decision to drop my other membership because MADabolic is where real workouts happen!
