About the Club

In 2019, after teaching at a major yoga studio for five years, I launched Mamacita Yoga, focusing on mothers-to-be. I believe prenatal yoga deserves more than being a secondary offering in studios. My services include primarily prenatal yoga, along with mommy and baby classes, and couples' prenatal yoga in the DFW area. Join me on your motherhood journey, where you'll find a supportive community of fellow Mamacitas. Excited to meet you and Baby!

10/10 - highly recommend this prenatal studio! Carla's classes allowed me to feel grounded and empowered throughout my pregnancy! I even brought my husband (who has never tried yoga) to a couple's prenatal class and he said he had a lot of fun connecting with me and learning supportive poses for labor.

I recommend Mamacita Yoga to all mothers. I came here at the beginning of my second trimester and fell in love with it. Not only does the instructor, Carla, teach calming techniques and safe stretches for pregnancy. She talks about having peace and tranquility within yourself. Ever since I have started yoga I have noticed that I have been a lot calmer and more relaxed. I don’t get as angry as much anymore, and I feel more at peace with my pregnancy because of prenatal yoga and especially because of Carla. I thank her so much for being amazing at what she does. 10/10 amazing experience!!

Amazing experience!! I love going to Carla’s classes. I’ve participated in all three prenatal classes (yoga, barre, and couples yoga). All excellent and great for baby! My husband also really enjoyed the couples class and liked learning different techniques to soothe me during labor & delivery. I’m super excited to experience the postpartum classes as well.

I’ve been attending Carla’s prenatal classes since the start of my second trimester, and now at 36 weeks pregnant, I can confidently say she’s been a game-changer! Her classes are the perfect combination of meditation, stretching, yoga, and strength training, making them a complete and well-rounded package for expecting moms.

Every session leaves me feeling stronger, more relaxed, and ready to tackle whatever comes next (even if it’s just getting up off the couch lol).

I have also attended the prenatal couple yoga classes with my husband, and we’ve both loved it. He’s told me that these classes have really helped him feel more involved in this journey and more connected to both me and the baby. Carla creates such a warm and inclusive space where we both feel supported, and it’s honestly been a beautiful way to bond and prepare together.

If you’re looking for a prenatal class that covers all the physical and emotional bases and leaves you feeling empowered and connected, Carla is your person! She really helps feel prepared for labor and beyond. :)

So, I'm just a regular guy who has never done yoga so I was a little bit nervous heading into a prenatal couples yoga class. But it was so worth it. It's an amazing experience - my wife and I were able to closely connect with each other and our baby. Carla is an exceptionally kind and patient instructor - I would recommend this class to first time parents, definitely.

Started these couples prenatal yoga classes early at 16 weeks and managed to fit in 7 sessions despite our hectic schedules - so worth it!

Carla is a knowledgeable instructor and doula who shares invaluable pregnancy and labor tips throughout the class. My husband isn't the most flexible person (his words, not mine), but he still loved the experience and the closeness it created between us. Carla's expert guidance and warm nature made every session special. Perfect for all couples, regardless of yoga experience. Highly recommend!"

Carla is seriously one of the nicest humans you’ll ever meet and goes out of her way to make each class rejuvenating and empowering. I didn’t want of give up yoga when I got pregnant, and the classes have helped me reset mentally each week not just physically. Carla provides great modifications to each pose depending on where you’re at in your pregnancy as well as great movement and breathing techniques for labor. I always feel so relaxed walking out of class. I look forward to class each week and am excited to take her postpartum classes as well. She is so encouraging and easy to talk to!

Heaven on earth for pregnant women looking for exercise in a calm and supportive environment without expensive long-term sign up packages you feel pressured to use in full! Carla is an angel and each class seriously feels like going to a spa with the cooling towels and gentle touch throughout. The classes are intimate and start with casual conversation so you’re all bonding (and commiserating!), rather than competing. I highly recommend trying out just one class - you will then be hooked and keep coming back throughout your pregnancy and beyond. And don’t forget the couples class so dad can learn how to best be supportive and involved in a practical and hands-on sense. That was amazing!

Mamacita Yoga and Carla was the best thing to happen for me when I was pregnant! The entire experience was so beautiful. Carla was recommended to me by a neighbor because I mentioned having a lot of back issues and pain during my pregnancy. However; the experience ended up being so much more than a way to stretch and take care of my body. My commute to class was a 50 minute commute each way but it was soooo worth it! The positivity and happiness that I felt in the class and being surrounded by other mamacitas, sharing experiences, and watching each other grow is something I’ll never forget. Coming to this class allowed me to set a time apart for myself and focus on myself in the midst of all the chaos. Carla is such an amazing instructor; I’ve been blessed to attend mommy and me yoga classes, and other post baby classes with Carla. I am so grateful to be a part of this community that she has built for us.

During my third trimester I attended a prenatal couples yoga session with my husband and it was truly a wonderful experience. Carla has a calming presence and exudes positivity. During the session we were able to relax and connect with each other and our baby. I highly recommend this class to any expecting couple looking for a peaceful and bonding experience. I first came across Mamacita Yoga when I was in my first trimester of my third pregnancy. I had been wanting to do prenatal yoga since my second pregnancy. It was pure happiness finding her for couple’s yoga! I loved having an activity to look forward to with my hubby. I took regular prenatal yoga classes, prenatal barre, mommy and me, and then to my surprise - Carla got doula certified! Her personalized approach in class is what had me sold on asking her to be my doula. 1,000% the right decision. She is attentive, soothing, empathetic, and one of the most caring people you will ever meet. I had a water birth at a birthing center and Carla brought all of the right vibes, did all of the right things and the yoga classes that I took literally helped me just breathe the baby right out. It was beautiful. And I couldn’t thank her more being there for me at the birth of my third baby. She was such a pivotal part of my experience being so serene and getting the birth experience that I always wanted. Any one who crosses paths with her is so lucky!

Carla,Carla, Carla !!! I could go on and on about how her presence is so tranquil. Her voice just makes you want to RELAX, take a break, and breathe! I found Mamacita Yoga when I was well over 7 months pregnant! I wish I found her sooner but within the two months of attending her Prenatal and couples yoga classes, as a first time mom, I KNEW I wanted her to be our doula. The woman CAN COOK! Mamacita yoga is amazing and I would highly recommend it for every mama at all stages during your pregnancy! I completed yoga as barre classes with Carla for the last 4 months of my pregnancy and it improved my mental, physical and emotional health immensely! All the classes are designed with you and baby in mind to keep you safe and comfortable the entire time. I also did the couples yoga classes and it really helped me and my partner to connect together with baby, it was really sweet to do. Now that I am postpartum Iv been taking mommy and me classes with my son! Really can’t speak highly enough about how amazing I found Mamacita yoga to be. The breath work also helped me prepare for labor as well as the techniques that are taught for stretching and relaxation. I also really enjoyed the workshops Carla put on some even including a pelvic floor physical therapist!
