Love my Mansfield Y, Ruby is a great gal, always welcoming and helping members. Love her coffee making skills. Instructors are always upbeat, friendly and ready to get our workout on! Facility has the best cleaning lady, appreciate her as well!

A place to rewind, meet friends, and to get a good workout. The moment you walk in and Ruby Jo greets you with her warm smile which makes my day complete.

Cancelled my membership almost three months and I still get a monthly charge. They have a copy of my cancellation receipt. There’s no email to contact for help, so I went to the bank and started a claim.

I like the staff. That's all I can say positively. The front desk people are always very friendly. There was no thought put into the fitness aspect here. The equipment is the cheapest stuff they could get from a brand (Matrix) that doesn't command any respect in the industry. Whoever made the call to purchase this outdated equipment needs to be evaluated. Sure, you can make it work if you have to, but the lack of basic things like a leg extension is going to hold you back. They also have personal training. I don't know the pricing or whether they sell it as packages, but from watching it I know the trainers aren't passionate about it and don't know how to structure workouts. I don't place all the blame on the trainers though because I've taken the courses the Y requires (ACE, NASM) and they're designed by people who don't work out and have a mediocre background at best. For people looking to improve I would suggest Metroflex right down the road.

I have tried on several occasions to participate in aquatic activities but it is nearly impossible. There is a group of ladies and gentlemen that take all the slots . Weekly they stay in pool sign up from 7 -11am which doesn’t leave slots open for anyone else . There needs to be a limit on how long you can take classes. It always the same group of people for last 3 years they are always in pool . Talking constantly disrupting classes. Constantly. It needs to be a new system in place. I have reached out to the administrator on several occasions with no follow up. If you are having a problem please write a review.

I signed a contract last week. tried the facility out twice before I realized the hours of operation wouldn't work for me. They open and close very late and early on the weekends, then 9pm at night on the weekdays. I wasn't told by signing up for a years contract that I couldn't cancel within seven days. I tried canceling but given the same canned answer by the front desk person and her manager. "To remain fair and consistent with all members, we are unable to make exceptions to this agreement once it is in place. As outlined on the form you signed and initialed, the agreement is for a 12-month term and cannot be canceled early. We do not offer a trial period on membershipsβ€”those wishing to try the facility beforehand can do so with a guest pass." I was never offered a guest pass. Never told I was signing my life away. So now I'm stuck with a $79.00 a month bill. Do your research before dealing with them.

It honestly surprises me that YMCAs are still in business given their business practices. Having the term "Christian" as part of your name is quite disappointing.

For starters, they charge a joining fee which is separate from the membership fee. This is the least of my complaints but worth noting.

Second, they make cancellation difficult. It's not possible to cancel via an app, a website, or a phone call. A physical trip has to be taken to the facility to fill out a form. This is just a ploy to get people to forget/delay so the Y can charge them more. Oddly, it's extremely easy to join this place -you can do it all online in a minute or two - but it's difficult to cancel, and you'll keep paying long after you do.

Next, you have to give 30 day notice to cancel. That is ridiculous. I gave two weeks notice, but I'll be charged again two weeks from now for a whole month because they want 30 days notice. Again, this is just another cash extraction tactic.

Finally, the website is extremely misleading. This is my primary cause for cancellation. I joined this gym for two reasons: a nice indoor track and a pool to swim laps in. The website shows a nice indoor track and pool and a pool schedule. What isn't clear when you join is that those are pictures and schedules from surrounding YMCAs. Yes, you get a membership to those facilities as well, but I have no interest in using them as they are relatively far from where I work and very far from where I live. If anyone claims that this misdirection is unintentional, they are lying at best.

In summary, find another gym. But if you do decide to join, know that your membership comes with strings attached.

One of the most beautiful YMCA locations I seen. Truly is a country club. And they offer piano and guitar lessons. They are constantly upgrading this location and though it may not be as big as the other locations, it is really beautiful and well kept

This is a good place, but the child care service is bad. Kids complain that there is nothing to do and it is boring. The amount of tests to do to get into the youth workout program is extensive.

Classes are fun
Facility is nice and clean
Parking Is convenient
Issues: need mats in the showers. When you take a shower it’s hazardous to step out to a wet slippery floor. And there is not hot water in the shower by the cycle room. I did bring it to the attention of the front desk on numerous occasions.
Hopefully they will correct these issues.

The YMCA is nice if you have kids above 7 or so or just want a break. If you wanna have fun or be with your kids younger you will not enjoy it. They basically hate small children here and will follow you if you just walk with your kid around to let him look around ive had Sharon and Ruby both follow me and tell me I have to lock up my kid in their children zone, a small room 8 by 12 or so they can have almost 20 kids in sometimes.

This is the worse program, we paid big money for my son to play basketball. He never actually has a game or practice. Ke will make excuses and ask you to bring kids that haven’t paid to make a team. I encourage to play for any other program.

Don’t be fooled into thinking you will be able to register for activities, especially if you have more than one child. We’ve been trying to register for parents night out for months, and we are never able to register all of our kids in time. Still charged the full fee though.

We don't recommend this piano classroom at all. The teacher's behavior has caused our daughter to cry after every lesson. It's unclear what criteria they use to choose teachers for kids, as they don't seem to know how to treat children properly. It's especially concerning that the teacher keeps asking for private lessons to make money from the students. We suggest finding a different piano teacher who knows how to treat kids well and genuinely cares about their happiness and learning.

Attention everyone: AVOID the YMCA for piano classes! My child was humiliated by her teacher, and when we complained, the management did NOTHING. Worse, they retaliated against us instead of disciplining their abusive staff. This place lacks professionalism and empathy. They're quick to ignore serious complaints, showing a complete disregard for children's emotional well-being and parental concerns. Absolutely unacceptable and disgraceful behavior. Stay away!

The YMCA, the new one in Mansfield, is very poor they play gangster music, they use profanity, and they have somewhat of a Nasty staff.
It's very sad to see that happen, but there are no standards. All the words you're not supposed to say in public or at all they were playing them on the loud speaker.

The YMCA in Mansfield is new and clean; however, it lacks the weight equipment one would expect in any gym. Many of us have formally requested a bench press be added, but we still do not have one. The STEM classes have been great so far.

I love what the YMCA does for their respective communities, and hated to give one star. The site is operational yet incomplete. It doesn’t have all of the feature the more mature locations such as Cooper and Central have in place. They do have a β€œgym” area but it’s more of an afterthought. The location is akin to a glorified rec center. It’s a nonprofit that just happens to have a gym which is what I needed more than the social community thing. It is very affordable and does good work for the local community; however, it’s outlived it’s usefulness for gym rats like me. Recently had to make the very tough decision to cancel membership and join a facility that’s just a gym.

Love there is a new location but front desk staff needs to learn how to work the phones properly so they're not hanging up on members. Returning voice mails would also be helpful. Also, leaving a message would be great if you call me so I don't have to drive up there and talk to the front desk because they're hanging up on callers.

Very clean, organized and brand new equipment. Les Mills classes are fantastic and they have the specific LM equipment! The yoga instructor was excellent as well. Ruby Jo and Tiyanna at the front desk were friendly, helpful and warm in welcoming my kids and me. The childcare staff were kind and helped my kids feel comfortable and have a good time.
