My daughter absolutely loves it here and loves her coaches. They are so sweet and attentive to her. They are very clear on communication and they are very reasonable on their prices.

Decent size and well organized. Have had a few meets here and the staff or volunteers were all very nice and hospitable. Looks small but actually pretty big and i like how they had multiple vendors there for the meets and also very reasonable concession options. Wise to have cash on hand though

Nice, clean facility. Really clever use of a very small space. The parent's viewing/waiting area is great. Easy to register. My main negative feedback is regarding the quality of instruction for the only set of lessons my child tried for the beginning tumbling class. They have so many kids on so many different skills in such a small space and only one instructor who primarily focused on the more experienced/ skilled kids. My child who was very unskilled didn't get the kind of coaching they needed to develop even very basic tumbling skills like to hold their arms straight to do a cartwheel over 6 weeks of lessons. Because there was only one instructor and so many kids, the individual practice was unstructured and independent. My uncoordinated child was pawned off to one of the other kids to instruct instead of the studio adding an additional instructor which I perceived to be unprofessional and logistically lazy. The way the small space was used the kids weren't given the specific instructions they needed to practice around each other safely. My child was kicked in the head and arm by other kids practicing their handstands almost every lesson. I would say this is a better facility if you're willing to pay for a long time to gain skills or if your child already has basic tumbling skills.

As many have said, they will steal your money. I had cancelled my child’s classes before we were charged. We were told that we could not cancel in person or over the phone, we had to use their email address. So we did and were charged the next day, which was unusual because we normally would get charged a week later. When I called to ask why we were charged, they said it was because we didn’t cancel two weeks before being charged. I let it go because ok fine we didn’t cancel before some arbitrary date. So I thought that would be the end of it.
The next month we are charged again. This time I go to the office in person and wonder what their reasoning for charging us this time would be. They ask if we sent a cancellation letter to the email and I told them I had sent one last month, well before the two weeks this time. They looked it up and confirmed that they found it. They then said that they had to get with the owner and he was in a meeting and they would call me later in the day to confirm a refund. Two days later I call back and the owner is still in a meeting but the person I spoke to is working on sending me an email confirming the cancellation and refund. A day later I receive an email saying they are working with the owner and I should get a refund in 3-7 business days. On the 7th business day I call to confirm that I will be receiving the refund that day and they are still working with the owner and would give me a call back. It’s the 13th business day and there has been no communication. It is too bad that this is how they treat customers, my daughter had a great time and she loved one of the coaches, some of the other coaches showed blatant favoritism however and would be on their phones while “coaching”. We definitely would have been back when we weren’t so busy, but they lost us as customers. Hopefully this will find the audience it is intended to and make sure that no one else loses money due to this business.

Be careful and watch your bank account. Even after cancelling they will charge your account then refuse to refund your money.

This place ruined my daughter’s love for gymnastics. To top it all off, they charged so much money for como leo, capris, jacket, backpack, etc…. And as punishment to her, they gave it all
Away to another girl. She ended up without her como leo etc and they didn’t even give us our money back. I regret this so much 😭

I was wondering if anyone knew pricing for Mary Janes. I have been trying to message them and call them and haven’t gotten a response. Very unprofessional, I guess that’s a sign not to use them. And reading all the reviews about not being able to cancel their membership is ridiculous.

I can’t say enough good things! Professional, efficient, welcoming, and meets your athlete where they are at. My daughter was returning after years away and I thought she would be crushed by how much technique and flexibility she would have lost, but the staff knew exactly how to push her and encourage her towards her personal best! This place was a godsend to us and VERY reasonable cost! Looking forward to years to come at Mary Jane’s!

My experience with Mary Jane's Gymnastics is from a much different perspective. Our company has done business with Mary Jane's for several years. The owners have been honest, ethical and easy to work with. In our line of work there have been times that the actual cost ends up higher than the bid. That has never been an issue as they are more than willing to pay for a job well done. This is one of the few companies that I enjoy doing business with because I can go into it knowing that it will go smoothly.

Great place, great coaches and staff. The owners are stand up people who have always cared more about our daughter than the bottom line. They have been very accommodating through difficult personal and financial times. We have grown in to a family and I couldn't imagine trusting our daughters safety and happiness anywhere else.

My daughter has been enrolled at MJG for a while now (a few years). I have read the negative reviews and I am very surprised! This has not been our experience AT ALL! We have been welcomed in like family by the entire staff. The coaches go above and beyond what is their ‘job’. On countless occasions we have received calls or texts to check up on our daughter if the knew of something personal going on outside of the gym. They have also been incredible about working with our family through financial struggles. We went in and discussed our problem, worked out a plan, and allowed us to make arrangements in a timely manner that would help our household. They never made us feel lesser for having to ask for their grace in that situation. As far as training goes, there are some days that are tough. There are days when the kids may be sore or things just aren’t clicking but that is to be expected with any sport. I’ve never witnessed anything out of line in the least. I’ve spent many hours at the gym watching and am impressed with how the staff runs their program! My daughters dream is to own a gym and coach. She has this dream because of the coaching she has received and aspires to inspire kids the way she has been inspired.

Best gym and coaches in the coastal bend!! If you are serious about gymnastics or just want to get started Mary Janes is the place. Our daughter has experienced tremendous growth under the guidance and training offered at this gym. The facility is large and fully staffed for all levels of athletes. The coaches are very knowledgeable and really they care about the girls! When we moved to Texas we were nervous about finding a new gym and how our daughter would adjust. Mary Jane’s has been fabulous! The quality of coaching, family feel and training structure has been second to none!

This is a horrible place for competition meets. Not enough room. With the amount of money they collect at the entrance they should at least buy a better sound system.

My daughter KenzieF has been attending Mary Janes Gymnastics since January and has learned so much in the beginners class!!! I am a very proud mom and couldn’t be more pleased with how much she has excelled since we started! Her coach is beyond great when it comes to coaching, keeping the parents informed on improvements or what we need to help our children work on, welcoming and caring for the gymnasts. I will always recommend Mary Janes Gymnastics!

Mary Jane's gymnastics is one of the best gymnastics gyms in town .... they care about the Athletes, they focus not only on strengthening the athletes but good form .... my daughter MJ has improved so much since we made the switch to Mary Jane's... I've referred several friends and they also love Mary Jane's.... they test the girls once a month to see if their ready to move up ... you receive the test results to review... I recommend coming and trying a free class I know you won't be disappointed

Soooo I'm not really one to write reviews however, I just want to thank the coaches for all they do and the gymnasts who attend for all the encouragement you guys give each other. Family oriented is what my wife and I feel with the parents and coaches who come here. You guys are awesome! I've seen our daughter Katiana grow with no fear, dedication, confidence and love for this sport. If a suggestion or recommendation is something you need well Maryjane's gymnastics is the place to be!!
By the way this place is worth every penny spent, money should not be the issue for the success of your children...
Maryjane thank you ma'am for being the kind hearted person you are!
You and your family are well appreciated. Thank you and God bless!

I coach here and I’m really excited about our dedicated group of staff and all the programs we have to offer. Not only do I give my all with my team I also have my son enrolled in the tot program. He is so excited when he wakes up the days he gets to go to gymnastics. He can’t wait! I love to see his excited face as he says ‘“watch this momma”. I see the same excitement in the littles in our mom, pop & tot class. They love it❤️ So if it’s team competitive gymnastics or getting your little ones started, please consider trying Mary Janes Gymnastics, for a free trial class.

My daughter came to MJ's from another gym in a different state, she was scared and not where she needed to be to compete level 7. Coach Rachel has put so much time, support and love into her. She competed great and is now going strong as a level 8! It's hard being a military family and moving every 4 yrs, the staff and girls all made my daughter feel very welcomed and loved. We love it here!

My daughter has grown up here. Years later, she still loves it and never wants to miss a practice. Not only does she have a love of gymnastics, her coaches, her teammates and even the workouts :) through MJ’s, but it has taught her discipline and confidence across the board in life.

They only care about making champions - and taking your money.
If you want your child to have fun exploring body movement, GO ELSEWHERE.
We took our 4 yr old there. He's big for his age; we wanted to develop his coordination. They couldn't care less about instructing him - he wasn't going to win them any medals.
I called to cancel the lessons. They agreed to cancel by phone, forgoing their standard policy. Then they took my $ for the next month.
Called the next month. They said they'd cancel, then took my $ again.
Next month. Again, they said they'd cancel, then took my $.
Finally got a manager to cancel future debits and agree to a refund - for 1 month only. Called to inquire about the refund check; got THE OWNER. She acted like making sure her business kept its promises to clients was the biggest waste of her time imaginable. SHE is the rudest person in the place (& that is saying quite a bit).
The staff at this place have a problem giving decent customer service or even common courtesy. And this problem definitely flows down from the very top.

Straight up THIEVES!!! My daughter initially had a good time there and then I stopped taking her in October of 2017. I called and told them I would not be taking my daughter anymore and I was still charge every month until January 2018. I called every month and told them to stop charging me. Then I was finally told I needed to go in and sign a cancellation paper. Not once was I told that before. Then after signing the paper I was still charged double in MARCH!!! Now I have no other choice but to change my cards. SMDH!!! If I could I would give negative stars!!! And on top of all of it the Manager lady was extremely rude!

All I can say is beware. Although our daughter enjoyed going initially, there are issues with the staff. We were told their competitions, which cost up to $1000, were mandatory for our daughters level. Come to find out they have a HUGE communication problem within their staff. The competitions for level 1 are optional, so we forked out almost $1500 for the competitions and travel when we didn’t have to 😡. They are all about the money, it’s a business. If you want a recreational type setting THIS IS NOT IT!!! They do not come out and say things are optional or mandatory, so make sure to ask. Everything they pass makes it seem as if it’s mandatory.
We ended up pulling our daughter out because her coach used her body weight to force my daughter down into the splits because my daughter wasn’t going down far enough.....Despite my daughter crying from pain, literally balling and asking for her to stop, the coach continued. My wife immediately confronted this coach and told her to stop. The coaches response was “that’s how we do it in gymnastics and sometimes there those that cry and your daughter is one”. My daughter couldn’t walk right for almost two days. Supposedly they have “remediated” the instructor, but.....I do not tolerate child abuse or endangerment and therefore we left.
Again, BEWARE. Watch your money, ask questions because they are VERY vague and what one person tells you another will say something different. Hopefully our incident was isolated, but based off the instructors comments and refusal to apologize....well, we left.

Thieves. -I'd give the 0 if i could. My boyfriend had the EFT switched to his credit card at the beginning of May. My girls stopped going mid May. Mary Janes charged MY card June 7th and since I didn't sign the cancellation form they wouldn't refund my money, even though they charged the wrong card. I went in that day to sign it and got charged AGAIN June 21st!! When I went in to cancel no one told me anything about being charged again (for services I did not receive) or could explain to me why my Credit card was still charged when they had a NEW credit card on file and were aware that the old card had been superseded.... I'm now out $330 for their incompetency.

I was at mary janes for 3 years in gymnastics. my three years were really good and they had good coaches and they really focused on making me better. I went to mary janes recently, about a month ago for tumbling classes. although they have good coaches, the tumbling classes mixed the ages, so sometimes there would be 4 yr olds training w/ 11 or 12 yr olds. depending on how many little ones there were, we would always practice basic skills that some of us have known how to do for years and the slightly advanced ones would have to practice the basics of tumbling. after about 8 sessions at mary janes, I switched to M.A.C ( modern American cheer ) and took their tumbling classes. the first trial I went to was incredible, I improved more at MAC at a one-hour session than 4 one-hour sessions at mary janes. Mary Janes does not take tumbling as seriously as they do at MAC, they take the gymnastics more seriously because that's what gets them medals. at Mary Janes they do not supervise the children at all either. I've also run into some of my old gymnastics friends at MAC and they said that they left because the coaching and classes were getting bad. all in all, mary janes was good a couple years ago but not anymore........
