When we first signed up, the front desk staff acted like they cared. But that quickly changed when my 5-year-old unfortunately broke her arm. I called to let them know she would have to withdraw, and the very first thing out of their mouth was: “We need a doctor’s note and written notice.” Not a single word of concern or empathy. Just cold policy.

A few days later, I had to bring my child—with a full cast on—to deliver the doctor’s note in person. Still no kindness, no compassion. One of the girls even scrutinized the note to make sure it was “valid” while my daughter stood there, clearly injured. It was incredibly disheartening.

This place lost our trust entirely. It felt more like dealing with a billing department than a kids’ gym that’s supposed to care about families. We’ll never go back, and I’ll be sharing this experience on local platforms so other parents are aware. If you care about your child’s well-being and want a supportive environment, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We really enjoyed the toddler class at Maximum Athletics and would generally recommend it - especially Coach Angie who is great with this age.

The only downside in an otherwise good experience is the cancellation process. We had hoped to cancel our month to month billing for the summer due to travel, but it turns out that process is a little complicated. Probably not that different from a lot of gym memberships, but it was frustrating to figure out the exact hoops to jump through and, ultimately, had to end up paying for an extra month.

I'd still probably recommend the gym though, my daughter has had a blast. I just recommend parents check on cancellations long before you need to cancel.

We are new to Texas and Maximum has been a life saver. My son was in physical therapy since he was born. He was premature (born at 28 weeks) and did not walk until he was 2. After 2 1/2 years Physical therapy his therapist suggested trying Gymnastics. We have never looked back. It’s not just the physical skills that he has gained. He has gained social emotional skills, discipline and Most importantly, he has a blast doing it. The staff coach Angie, and the front desk manager, Haley are so welcoming and warm. You don’t feel like you’re just a number. they get to know the athletes that are competitive as well as the recreational athletes and welcome them each day when they come in the door. Also, my four-year-old did camp last summer and it was the best thing we ever did. I cannot say good things about Maximum Athletics The Woodlands.

My family attended a USA Gymnastics District Qualifier meet this past weekend at Maximum Athletics in Magnolia. We had 2 gymnasts competing so we were there all day. We could not have been happier with how our events went. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The gym itself was very nice... clean, laid out well for competing as well as spectating. The staff and owners made it really memorable for the girls with a fun theme, upbeat music, plus cool strobe lighting with a disco ball. Our girls loved it! Everything they did provided a room full of high energy. The lady that sang the Star-Spangled Banner was incredible. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and look forward to competing here again.

My girls had a district gymnastics meet at Maximum this Saturday. Maximum is located in a beautiful neighborhood which made the drive-up fun! Everyone from the parking attendants to the staff inside were extremely kind and welcoming. The management went above and beyond to make the meet special for all guests. They played fun music. They turned on cool stage lights to introduce the teams and the announcer sang the "Star Spangled Banner" which was incredible! There was plenty of comfortable guest seating located at great vantage points to all the events. The facility itself was laid out nicely and all of the equipment looked new and well kept. The bathrooms were large, clean and convenient to access. The gym did not smell like a gym. It did not smell at all, which was impressive! Overall, we had a great experience at Maximum and look forward to competing there again!

My 7 yo started in January 2024. It’s been very challenging for her and she is often feeling a little lost. But! Her coach helps when she can, yet doesn’t make excuses for her; she needs to learn to do it herself. She’s often the last one doing things, but they never move on without her; everyone finishes and does the same things. Even though it pushes her a ton, she loves it and always looks forward to coming back.

My daughter is a team gymnast here. Coach Irenya is Amazing. She is so compassionate , great with communication, and a wonderful role model for the girls. She is also a former gymanst and can relate to the team girls well and has the foundation to coach gymnastics. She inspires my daughter daily with not only gymnastics but life skills and for that I am thankful.

Coach Kayla has got to be one of the most patient souls in history! My 3-year-old boys absolutely love her class and we will stay at Maximum as long as they can keep having her as a coach. We joined Maximum Athletics in October and C absolutely loves it. The front desk staff are so welcoming and friendly. My sons have attended Maximum for three years. It is a clean, large facility with great coaches. Coach Keanu is an awesome coach for Ninja Warrior and Parkour. The recreational classes are inclusive to all kids and the gym also runs activities to give back to the community. The office/front desk staff are helpful, shout out to Angie and Rebecca who have helped me a number of times. It is great that if you miss a class you can make it up (one a month in term time, and unlimited in the summer vacation.)

I was told on the phone that parents are required to wear a mask in the building so I signed my son up for one of the classes. Most of the parents in the building are not wearing a mask. I mentioned this to the woman at the desk and she says there is nothing she can do. This business is more concerned about making money than the safety of the people that enter the building. We will not be back.

My kids love their classes at Maximum! My boys do either a Ninja Warrior, Parkour or tumbling class and our daughter likes the traditional gymnastics classes or aerial silks. Most classes incorporate trampoline time and they love that too. We have been at Maximum for several years now and have never had any issues.

Maximum is the best gymnastics place we have tried!

They also have a sibling discount and that is very helpful. And in the summer they have unlimited makeup classes if you can’t make your regular class.

I love maximum athletics in Magnolia! Our kids enjoy their classes and their camps. Shout out for Alex, Rebecca and Amanda, who are excellent with small, busy children. This is a wonderful summer resource because you can enroll one week at a time for camp M-F at a SUPER reasonable rate. I also love that smaller kids (3-4) can attend camp and feel "big" like older siblings. It is incredibly hard trying to get 2-3 types of childcare for the littles. Lastly, management is lovely and the website has a nice, user-friendly interface.

We love Maximum! We have been going to The Woodlands location since January and both my 2 and 4 year olds have improved drastically in their gross motor movement skills, flexibility and strength. Coach Andrea and Coach Alex are great with the littles! We love the gym so much, we had their joint birthday party there two weekends ago and it was perfect. The party room was ready, and they helped us bring in our food and decor and set it all up. The price is so reasonable and all the kids attending had a great time!

We've been with Maximum Athletics for many years. My oldest daughter went to recreational classes and competed on team for 5 years in the Conroe gym and my youngest daughter is now competing with the team in the Woodlands gym. Both my daughters have had competent, trained coaches who were able to teach basic skills as well as complex. The owner Derrick has always taken a hands on approach and still coaches in the gym. I've always been able to talk with the coaches about realistic goals. We are happy with Maximum for our gymnastics programs.

I’m not impressed. My daughter has been here for 4 months and has barely learned anything. She had a make-up day with another instructor who actually seemed interested in helping her learn. So, it’s hit or miss depending on your child’s coach. We’re gonna stop attending because we don’t find it to be worth the cost.

We totally love Maximum - have been going there for 3 years, to the old location and now to the new one. The coaches are awesome - everyone knows my son's name and say hi every time they see him in the hallway. They have managed to create such warm and friendly atmosphere! Never had a problem - neither with classes (rescheduling, make-ups) nor with birthday parties (we had two and been to a couple others).
