I had a great experience at this studio. It is very clean and organized and everyone is very open and helpful. Katie and Miranda were wonderful and were so knowledgable that I felt very safe attending their classes during most of my pregnancy.

All instructors are extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, kind and helpful at McKinney Movement Center. I feel very comfortable to ask questions when I need to at this studio/gym. The size of the studio is perfect, not too big and not too small. I feel very much at home in this gym/studio. I highly recommend you to try this place. You will be very happy you did.

I just completed the 6-week Pilates program at McKinney Movement Center, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results! The structured program helped me stay on track and motivated, and I feel more confident than ever in my journey to get strong and fit. The team and instructors at MMC are truly exceptional - Emily's guidance during the initial assessment made me feel at ease, and Denysha's encouragement as my personal coach has been invaluable. The instructors, including Kara's challenging yet supportive classes (even planks are becoming more manageable!) and Harli's focus on posture, have all contributed to my progress. I love the friendly environment and small group classes, which provide personalized attention from the team. I've already renewed my membership to continue working towards my fitness goals. Big shoutout to the entire MMC team - I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a supportive community and expert guidance!

McKinney Movement Center has made a huge difference on the way my body feels and overall my confidence. I had an occupational injury (professional violinist) and I was struggling with pain for many years. I was looking for a place to call my Pilates home that provided more personal attention vs focus on numbers and recruiting large classes. The timing was perfect as they had just launched a 6 week transformation package. I needed some accountability at the time and was drawn to the thoughtful and personable approach.

I completed part of the pilates teachers training that is held here and it was amazing! They’re very thorough with each certification, it’s very well put together for a very reasonable price! She puts everything together for you and really caters to help you become successful as a pilates instructor! highly recommend!!

I recently completed my Pilates Mat Certification through McKinney Movement Center and cannot recommend their teacher training program enough! As a fellow dance specialist, former professional dancer and former competitive gymnast who had a multitude of injuries, I have always struggled to take Pilates classes as they always hurt my back. By the book, I am someone who almost shouldn’t do Pilates due to multiple injuries in my back, instability in my pelvis, and hip injuries. With McKinney Movement Center, not only do you learn the foundational Pilates exercises, but you learn modifications and cues to help you work with the individual in front of you. Emily gave me the tools to be able to modify basic exercises for my body and helped me learn cues and tricks to progress to the advanced versions of the exercises by the end of the course. I was able to do this all pain free and have come out a stronger person and better teacher because of it. If you’re looking to get certified in Pilates, McKinney Movement Center will offer you the best Pilates instruction there is to offer!

I’ve taken Pilates classes at a number of studios (SolidCore, Session, etc.), but Mckinney Movement Center is easily the best. At other studios, I didn’t get the feedback and instruction that I was looking for. The instructors at McKinney Movement Center put together really diverse sessions, whereas at other studios I felt like I was doing the same exercises over and over again. They also know their clients - what their goals are, pain points are, etc. - and put together sessions that are thoughtful of each person in the class. I also love the variety of equipment that we use (chair, rings, box, hand weights, etc.). This variety is far more than I’ve experienced at other studios and introduces new challenges and complexity to each workout. I also love the community I’ve built at McKinney Movement Center. The owner makes it a point to talk to everyone, the instructors get to know me as a person, and I’ve made genuine friends in class. If you’re up for a challenge - take Jaclyn’s Power class. You won’t regret it!!

This place is amazing! Instructors and staff are warm and welcoming. They really help you through the movements and it’s challenging without being aggressive. It’s actually just what I need after having a baby and as I’m trying to build back my pelvic floor strength. I’m so grateful I found this studio. Do yourself a favor and check out this Studio!

Emily and Cailey at McKinney Movement Center are amazing. I have POTS and EDS so it has been extremely difficult for me to find a work out routine that doesn’t exacerbate my symptoms. They have been able to provide me with workouts that strengthen my body without making me feel completely useless for the rest of the day. My muscles always feel like they got a good burn and stretch without causing me to have symptoms. I can physically see a difference in my body and how I hold myself. I am so grateful for their knowledge and patience.

Gyrotonic movement allows you to get a deeper stretch and improve overall well being. Emily is very knowledgeable about body mechanics and will educate you when taking her class and will teach you how to target different muscle groups you likely do not use. This is definitely an addition to doing Pilates. I highly recommend.
