As a proud Black-owned gym, our mission is to uplift our community through group training that feels more like a family gathering than a workout session. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced athlete, our dedicated trainers offer personalized support that meets you exactly where you are and inspires you to go further.
Their is great satisfaction to be had as those stubborn pounds start to disappear, all while you’re immersed in our strength and conditioning classes, surrounded by like-minded people.

Never miss a Monday! Today’s HIIT class at MeanGreen with Chris was exactly what I needed to start the week strong. The workout was intense, challenging, and left me completely exhausted — in the best way possible. Chris brings great energy and keeps everyone motivated from start to finish. This was my first class at Mean Green and the atmosphere was welcoming. Coach Cristian is encouraging and ensures the entire class is working at their best potential. I just wanted to say—today’s workout completely wiped me out (in the best way)! I’m exhausted, lol, but I feel great. I really appreciated how comfortable and motivated I felt throughout the entire session. You did an awesome job encouraging us and clearly explaining each workout, which made it easier to stay focused and push through.
Also, the warm-up and cool-down were a huge plus. It felt so much better easing into the workout instead of jumping straight in. Thank you for putting thought into the flow of the session. You’re doing an amazing job—can’t wait for the next one (once I recover a little 😅)!

Mean green always has the best workouts now about Coach David. He is a great coach when he sees your mind is telling you no he is there to remind you that you can do it! I mean, it probably sounds like “ run like the Beyoncé concert is about to start” or “ I need you to run like the gates about to close at the airport” but it works 😂 thank you!

Today was my first workout at Mean Green Gym. The energy is real, and Coach Chris' gentle, encouraging coaching style really helped ease my first-day nerves and made the workout more manageable - it was challenging but doable. He explained the exercises slowly and helped with form throughout the class. I'm not sure if Chris remembered my physical limitations or not, but it felt like it. This is the type of mindfulness that I appreciate with a coach or trainer.

I’ve done CrossFit before in a completely different environment. I must admit, this gym has superseded my expectations. I had the most enjoyable experience working out to great music & good vibes. Coach Chris set the tone for a positive & fun atmosphere. He also provided great coaching & guidance for each exercise. Cristian provided a very detailed and organized but yet rigid in endurance lesson on today. He pushed all athletes to their max potential but yet allowed grace to each of us when he identified we were in need of it and this assisted all of us to be able to complete the lesson in totality. Overall, I feel that it was a great workout and I look forward to the accomplishments that I can make in the future with this program.

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s class. While I’m not typically a fan of hang cleans, I do appreciate the mental toughness that comes with challenging myself in this way. I would particularly enjoy more strength-focused sessions, especially in the mornings, with an emphasis on weightlifting. One suggestion I have is to incorporate instructional videos on the TVs, demonstrating how to use various machines effectively, particularly regarding hand positioning to target specific muscle groups. Overall, I found the class to be extremely valuable. You addressed all of my questions thoroughly, and I am looking forward to returning to the lab for my next session.

These last six months with MG have been transformative in my life. My strength and endurance have increased exponentially, and my belief that I can do it is higher than it has ever been.
I was a gym rat before a major accident in 2009 that change my life and my ability to do what I did for over 15 years. I did not know if I would ever be able to lift that kind of weight again. However, with the coaching and encouragement of Chris Green and the staff of coached, I am stronger today than I have been since before my accident.

I love it here! The environment is so encouraging and welcoming. Lord knows my fitness level was 0 when I started about 7ish weeks ago, but no one shamed me or tried to push me past my limits. Instead, what I got (from both the coaches, Cindy and Christian, and other members) was high fives, motivation, and tons of “it’s ok”, “keep going”, and “you got this”. I knew from the first day I set foot in this gym that this was my place. I never would have thought I’d be a 5:30AM girlie, but I’m excited to get up and go to Mean Green before work!
I have not personally met the owner, Chris, but he is very communicative. He went above and beyond to help me navigate the website and the app to help me get registered.
I’ll update my review in about three months to add pics that show my physical progress bc I’m confident I’m gonna get the results I want. 💪🏿
