Wednesday’s with Khelsey are the absolute best classes. She has a great routine that’s low impact yet kicks your butt. I have arthritis so I struggle with some techniques but her class has been really good for my joints!

I have experienced classes at the Montrose and River Oaks locations. Both studios were top tier from parking, to check in, and an instructor to greet you to ensure success.

I’ve taken Butts Tight AF, Adore Your Core, and a full body class. Celerina leads the way with challenging moves to drill down into every layer of the core and obliques. She’s not shy utilizing the weights and the ring for advancements. Butts Tight AF was a great lower body workout…. All the lunges and glute work. Sherilyn’s full body did not diassppoint…the playlist, format, and her level of detail were spot on.

I 10/10 recommend Method Pilates.

Great class the instructor, Lauren, did an awesome job at keeping the class moving and engaged. I was leveling up without her queuing it and she called me out and used me as an example for other people to level up if they wanted to. I appreciate it because some people don’t necessarily know that there is a better option if they want a better burn and I appreciated that about this instructor. Some instructors, reiterate that you’re not supposed to do anything without their queuing and most of these classes in general do not start out with a level that I feel a burn on so I know what I need to do in order to make that burn happen and she allowed me to do that without hesitation.

I’ve taken Pilates for a year now and over 100 classes with method and is easily my fav studio in Houston. No matter what time you come in you’ll get a great work out and I always leave feeling happy and stronger. My fav instructor is Kacie but also love taking Jackie, Sherilyn, and Jess classes!

I had a great experience with My Method Pilates! I had a question about a cancellation and tried calling, but they were already closed. I reached out on Instagram and was blown away—they responded in under three minutes! They were super helpful and explained everything clearly. I didn’t realize there was an 8-hour cancellation window, but they made the whole process so easy. I really appreciate how quick and supportive they were.

And of course, I love working out with them. The instructors are fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the energy is always motivating. Highly recommend!

The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and always bring great energy to each class. Special shout-outs to Sherilyn who makes sure I can't walk out of class and keeps me coming back for more, Beja who remembered my name after my first class with her and pushes everyone to their fullest potential with her shout-outs, and Jenna who makes a savage lunge not seem so savage with how sweet and encouraging she is. Whether you’re brand new to Reformer Pilates or have been practicing for years, the instructors at Method make everyone feel welcome and challenged at the same time. The classes are thoughtfully structured and really help you build strength, improve posture and form, and feel more connected to your body. The studio itself is always clean and well-equipped—such a great atmosphere to work out in. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a motivating and empowering pilates experience!

I've taken over 300 classes at the Method studio, and I cannot stress enough that this is the best habit I've been able to form in my 30s. If you're considering Pilates, DO IT HERE. Method's culture is inclusive and the community is diverse in age, race, gender, and body types which in large part is due to the big hearts and warm professionalism of the instructors. They also make every class FUN with the effort they put into the music playlists and the constant rotation of routines and moves. It's recommended that you go 2x a week to see results, and I'll vouch that 3x a week has allowed me to sustainably build strong muscles to support natural aging and cross sport training (running, cycling, hiking). It's a fantastic strength training endeavor to fit into your wellness journey!

I just started Pilates about 4-5 months ago as a supplement to weightlifting. I tried several different Pilates studios. And Method is the BEST reformer Pilates studio in the houston area. It’s upbeat and fast without sacrificing form. They focus on making a workout both fun and functional in a way I have not seen at other studios! I even had my family members come when they were in town visiting, and they loved it! Can’t go wrong with any of the instructors - they’re always amazing. Upbeat and encouraging. Every single one.

I have been going here for 6+ months and love Method Pilates! All of the instructors are amazing. Each with their own flare and focus. After trying various workout classes, Method Pilates has been the only one that sticks for me. I came in with 0 athletic background and felt that the classes were very friendly to beginners to help get basics for posture and modify moves. For more advanced folks you can also up the difficulty, so it’s great for diverse skill levels.

Credit to the instructors for always making fun routines to make things interesting! The Montrose location perfect- very convenient and central to get to from downtown.

I love this studio! I do a lot of Pilates and I can say that this is a top-tier experience. The routines they provide are always fresh and challenging, but not impossible. Dani is always encouraging, instructs with clarity, and makes dying quite a lot of fun. I love that the studio is dim and has a soft blue glow to it, along with phenomenal playlists to keep you motivated. If you have never taken a class with Dani, it is such an experience, and I would highly recommend booking ASAP.

Method and pilates have changed my life! Method has excellent and caring instructors who ensure that you are having a great time and not injuring yourself. (I am very good at falling down) Each time I finish a class, I notice that it is so much fun, that I can't believe it is over and we actually spent 50 minutes. (when it seems like 5 minutes went by)

I tried their guest pass while I was in town and Stacy taught the class a few weeks ago. She was very friendly at first, but then her attitude changed and the class I was in felt like she rude.

She acted very materialistic and high end, when the focus should have been the class.

I may come back again and give it a try, but I will not book with Stacy.

I’ve been to method about 5 times now and i have to say that Katja is the best instructor! She is so kind and encouraging. I wish all instructors were as awesome as her. Pilates can be intimidating as a beginner and she made me feel very comfortable. Classes here are overall pretty great! Definitely recommend (:

Update since they replied: it clearly says she’s still an instructor on her profile, and she’s still very active on your profiles and vice versa. We can see comments and likes on your Instagram pages if you didn’t know. So yes, anyone still associated with a terrible person like that does deserve the negative reviews.

This studio is my all time favorite place to work out in Houston. I’ve gone here on and off for years. Getting back into it with the 2024 “Stronger Challenge” and loving the results. The instructors are amazing and welcoming, always there to help and support and provide feedback. And, they’re so fun! The playlists always crush it. Every class is different and I’ve never left a single class feeling anything less that freaking amazing. I’ve put on a lot of weight the last years and am getting back into fitness… but I don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed of where I am on my fitness journey in this community. It’s so positive. I hope this place will always be there, and instructors like Dani, Meghan, Amanda, Khelsey, Joey, et al keep showing up and keep Method going as everything it is that makes it such a special boutique studio in Montrose. ❤️

Been going here for the past 3 months having never done Pilates before, and I've absolutely loved the experience. I've had classes with about 50% of the instructors, and across the board they're excellent at coming up with fun, engaging routines and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

I've been to 2 other Pilates studios recently too, and one thing I especially appreciate about Method is that their reformer machines are really well designed. The front and back platforms as well as the moving carriage are all spacious and grippy enough so you can focus more fully on the actual exercise. Some other machines I've seen have upholstery that gets way too slippery with sweat or have uncomfortably small front/back platforms where your foot might be partially hanging off or a carriage that's not long enough for your entire torso to lay on. That's not a problem at Method unless you're like 6'2"+ maybe.

They have great instructors, a welcoming atmosphere and the workouts are always different and challenging. Their memberships are also reasonable for pilates classes. Def recommend

I joined Method Pilates a little over three weeks ago. I’ve gone to class 22 times out of the last 24 days. I enjoyed it so much that I actually try to go every day now.

I’ll be turning 60 years old this summer and really wanted to bring in the new decade as healthy and fit as I can be. A good friend of mine told me about Method Pilates and how much she liked it. At first I was reluctant because I always thought Pilates was for women, which I now know is not true. I decided to give it a try, using the two week unlimited classes option. After just a few classes I knew I would want to continue passed the trial. I decided to do the unlimited month-to-month.

Each of the instructors have been been amazing. It’s very obvious that they don’t just teach Pilates, they DO Pilates. They’ve been so very kind and helpful for me to understand how the reformer works and to use it without getting hurt. It truly is all about “the method” used on the reformer. Each class is different so you never know what to expect. I can already tell that my entire body is getting stronger. I also have noticed my standing balance has improved significantly. When I first started I was needing a pole to assist while doing the lunges to not. Thankfully now I’m able to do it on my own strength.

I am 1000% happy with my membership to Method Pilates. I am sure you would be too if you give it a try. If this seem to be 60-year-old man can do it, you can too.

I love mat pilates, so decided to try reformer since I couldn't find any decent mat classes nearby. I have started with First Class (20$) and liked so I sign up for Two Weeks UNLIMITED (75$) to try different classes and instructors. After attending every day for two weeks I decided to purchase Class Pass subscription and attend regularly. I still prefer mat pilates, and hope to find good classes for it in the future.
Pros:
++ Location: there are not many pilates/fitness studios in Montrose area and this one is just 5 mins walk from my apartment complex which allows me to be there often with no hustle
++ Energetic, fitness knowledgeable, friendly instructors, routines changing quite often
++ Classes as early as 5.30 am and as late as 7.30 pm
++ Really good quality reformers and nice studio space

Cons:
-- Schedule could use more core and stretch classes
-- Receptionist signing people in would be helpful – this way instructor could spend time with new joiners explaining the machine and class flow instead of doing that in a rush, after the class starts after they sign everyone in
-- I wish we would focus more on technique and correct breathing during all classes – right now it’s a hit or miss… pilates is very powerful when done right, but it requires continued emphasis on berating, pelvic and rib cage, head and neck placement during each movement to build that abdominal strength without killing your neck and lower back
-- It might be a bit overwhelming for new joiners to "survive" the first class, even for myself, despite experience with mat pilates it was hard to get used to machine, terminology and frequent position changes - an intro video in first time section of the website would be very, very helpful

Love my Method family 💕. Method was my first time trying Pilates, specifically reformer Pilates. It’s got me back into wanting to work out again. For years I struggled at the gym without focus. Once I found method I found an exercise that I enjoyed that I could actively feel working in my body. My flexibility had gotten better and I was in the best shape of my life! Method is one of my favorite, if not my #1, Pilates/lagree studio in Houston! The owner (Ashton) and other team members are encouraging, helpful, and upbeat. They create awesome music playlists.
Most importantly though is the awesome community Method developed OUTSIDE of the studio. Method holds frequent social gatherings and community impact events so you can get to know your fellow Pilates pal on the reformer next to you.
I would totally go more if I lived closer, but if you live close to Buffalo Bayou - this studio is the best.

Method has been a favorite studio of mine for years now. They offer several different options to fit your budget and schedule. I’ve done everything from unlimited to 10 class auto-pays. The reformers are incredibly comfortable. It takes the fear out of climbing on the machine when you’re feeling shaky. Each instructor makes an playlist for the class and I can say this is a big help in motivation!!! Lol. They’re all enthusiastic too, and I’d consider it a warm and welcoming environment. Super clean as well. The stretch classes are amazing. They turn the lights down low and if you take an evening one you just slip out of class and go home and go to sleep. Love Method!

I have found each class to be very challenging, and the instructors do a great job of switching up routines to alleviate the monotony of the typical “gym workout”.
