I have been going to Metroflex Plano this past year since I moved to the area and this is one of the best gyms I have been to. Hardcore bodybuilding atmosphere but also one of the cleanest gyms I’ve trained at. There are projectors playing old school Ronnie, Branch and jay cutler training at all times. The owner takes pride in equipment selection and making sure the members are taken care of. Highly recommend if you are in the DFW area!

Outstanding gym. These guys work really hard to keep this place nice and clean while still rocking the old school bodybuilding gym equipment. Miguel and Merrick demonstrated exceptional service and I appreciate all their help. This gym had the best squat leg press machine I’ve ever used. Great gym with amazing equipment. Cables are great, every attachment you can imagine, machines for every movement you could want. Staff is making sure machines are maintained and smooth. Organization is great. Feels like everyone is welcome, regardless of experience level.

Came for the first time with a friend and when exploring the outside, we were not familiar with the strongman equipment and it must have been obvious enough for someone from staff to offer a helping hand and guide us and to recommend a starting point. Can’t recommend this place enough and if you can afford to make a trip, I would recommend it.

Everyone ignore the few most recent reviews that are one star. It’s a bunch of fake accounts from an upset former member who snuck somebody into the gym without paying and then had his membership revoked. The owner, Ron, is an upstanding individual WITH STANDARDS and a genuinely good dude, he keeps the place clean and brings in new equipment and runs the gym well. Ron is the owner and is onsite every day and is incredibly helpful and friendly. Cable attachments are organized and easy to find. Cages are fully equipped with plates, bars and clamps. Super free weight section with old school weights! Excellent outdoor area for lifting/lunges/sprints! Private posing room with all angles of mirrors and lighting. Preworkout drinks and protein drinks/snacks are plentiful and available for purchase at the front desk. I can’t say enough about this gym. If Google had the option I’d give Metroflex even more stars. Been a member since 2017 and I’ve seen this gym undergo massive transformation into what it is now. Management is incredible and has created the ideal training environment with upgraded equipment and a vision to continually improve. Best gym in the area by a mile. There’s working out and there’s training. Bodybuilder, power lifter, strongman , this is your gym. This is where people go to train who have goals and are serious about reaching them. I had to recently cancel my membership for my own reasons, but I want to give this place a 5 star review with how simple it was to cancel. No complicated process that takes months to go through, no need to send some certified letter to their home office, just walked in, asked to cancel and that's it. With how hard it is to cancel memberships at other places i have to give credit where it's due. The gym is great, and has seen many improvements in the 2 years I've been here. Got a day pass while in the area visiting some friends. Preparing for a USPA meet so came here and got my deadlifts in. Ryan is running a great facility here. This is the best gym I've ever been to. It has an underground feeling and hardcore vibe. You better like loud metal and heavy weights because otherwise you won't fit in here. Love this Gym! They are one of the only few gyms open during this crazy time and they treat there members right! As a member we receive first priority so we don’t have to wait in line! You know when you can't find the weights you need because some dude left them all up on the smith machine, secured with collars? Then you bring them to the one squat rack but someone just claimed it as a curl and situp rack? Not at METROFLEX because people clean up after themselves and don't mess around. They have a lot of power racks which is very cool, and a lot of interesting and unique equipment. However on several occasions I drove 20 minutes to get there only to find that the hours had been changed and was closed, after checking online beforehand. Messages through their website are ignored. They also don't have a changing area, which is a pain in the neck for how far out they are. Similar issues canceling as others... I canceled on August 9th, and the charge shows up on my card on the 10th, but they said they charged on the 8th, so with their 30 days cancellation policy (where you have to cancel over the phone or in person and which you don't get written confirmation for) I was charged two additional months. They are very friendly about it all, but it left a bad taste. Edit: If you are updating it on your platform, it isnt propagating to where anyone can see it. I think you are mistaken. Everytime I went and it was closed, there was a paper sign in the window identifying the changed hours, and no change on google or your website.

So i have had problems canceling this membership that is only month to month membership for 3 months now i did what they asked and called in that didnt work then i had them do it over email so i would have written proof and I thought things where finally fixed lone and behold the third month they tried to charge my account again. I canceled because i didnt like being singled out at the gym or my wife for using the equipment the same way I saw everyone else doing super sets. This is probably the must unprofessional way ive seen a company do business maybe the 1st one was a mistake but 3 months in a row is just so upsetting and disappointing to know someone would run their business like that wouldn't recommended this place to anyone except the bbb for bad business practice the sad thing is i liked the different equipment they had to bad its all for nothing when you run your business like this

I got a membership about a week ago and I can undoubtedly say this is by far the best gym I have ever been to. They have all types of equipment whether you’re a serious lifter or just want a great workout. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly reccomend this gym to anyone!

My favorite gym in Dallas, lots of power racks. excellent place to squat, clean, and bench. You can even do short sprints out back. But put your phone away, you need to focus on your gainz!

Great hardcore gym in Plano! I visited for a workout while on the road and this place is awesome and breathes energy and intensity for a great workout. Don't let the hardcore nature scare you off, everyone is super friendly, the owners are awesome guys and there is a huge breadth of equipment to fit any workout style and to get a great lift.

This is by far the best strength training facility in DFW. Everything you need to get stronger is here. The equipment is all in great condition and the people are truly supportive. Any level of strength athlete is welcome here and will never feel intimidated. The owner is easy to get a hold of and a fantastic resource. If you hate big box gyms filled with uncaring, unknowledgeable staff and unnecessary machines, you owe it to yourself to come to this gym. It is open to ANYONE who wants to get stronger. When I lived in the DFW area, I tried many other gyms and as I stated before this one was the best of the best. Great strength equipment, everything you would ever need to be at the top of your game in powerlifting, strongman, or bodybuilding. I can honestly say it was the total package and one of the best gym experiences I have ever come across. The people are also what make this gym amazing. As I mentioned before everyone from the owner and others associated with the gym are extremely helpful. The price is a great deal and is just that added bonus. Anyone relocating to the Dallas/Plano area or just passing through, I would strongly advise you to train here and not bother with any other gym.

I've always heard the hype about this gym - expectations exceeded! There is something about the grit in the air that really pulls a new level of drive and determination from inside your core. This is the gym that definitely gets you in the mood to get going. It’s one hundred percent pure iron motivation. The owners Ryan and Chris are awesome! If you're not familiar with the machines, they are always willing to help and show you how the machines are used. You will always be told thanks for coming in, and to make sure to come back in tomorrow! They notice your hard work and appreciate all their members being a part of the gym. This gym is for all types of people, not just the hardcore, but will make you feel hardcore, for sure.

I'm a mom of two little boys, and staying fit is how I keep up with them. Metroflex is amazing! There's so much equipment to choose from, their staff is helpful and you can tell they take pride in their gym. From powerlifters, Strongman, bodybuilding, to just general fitness, this gym truly does have something for everyone.

I'm new to this gym but overall I love it. Great strongman and lifting equipment. Really friendly staff. I love the "no selfies/no cell phone" use rules as well as the outdoor space. I feel that for people interested in strongman this is the best place around as I found that Destination Dallas in Plano doesn't have enough equipment for my strongman training needs.

Best place to come to do work. They have a massive amount of weight and pro level grade equipment geared towards lifting lots of heavy weights.

The lobby is comfortable for pre and post workout lounging but the gym area itself is straight forward. There isn't AC in the summer but there are many huge fans. If you're sensitive to the heat, take your time and hydrate and you should be fine after a few visits.

Overall it's the exact opposite of the gym on the corner and that's what makes it awesome.

A perfect, no-nonsense place to lift weights. Staff is super friendly and helpful, as are the other patrons. If you're relatively new to weightlifting like I am, you'll see some people here who can probably bench two of you, but no one's there to judge anyone else. They'll help you with your form instead.
