I’ve been taking sessions with Malina and she has been absolutely incredible. From day one, she made me feel completely comfortable and confident. She explains everything in a way that actually clicks, and she’s been so patient and supportive throughout every session. Her attention to form, her encouragement, and the way she tailors movements to what my body needs have made such an impact. I started seeing Malina after a low back injury and while still trying to get my core strength back postpartum. She’s been amazing! So encouraging and really knowledgeable. Every session feels so personalized. My back pain has improved so much, my core feels stronger, and I finally feel confident to start getting back into my weight lifting routine! I connected with Mina Pilates as part of my recovery from spinal surgery in 2024; the one on one sessions have propelled me through a speedy recovery! Working through nerve damage and unexpected pain, she created movement plans tailored to my specific needs and continued to build on successes. In just about 7 months of consistent Pilates sessions, I am relatively pain free and nearly back to my pre-injury levels of fitness. She also gave me a recommendation for an amazing PT!!!! As a life long athlete, I wish I had committed to Pilates training much sooner as I’ve experienced so many benefits that translate not only to recovery but improved performance and movement patterns overall!! I started working with Malina about six months ago to address debilitating back pain (deadlifting injury) that wasn't improving in physical therapy. Working with her has been such a blessing and has improved my quality of life tremendously.
Malina is super knowledgeable yet still so humble and collaborative in her approach. She will always listen and is willing to change her approach based on my feedback and how my body responds to certain movements. She has been amazing at working within my limits while also adding incremental challenges to help me slowly and steadily make gains in my strength and mobility. She has also helped me better understand the mind/body connections of chronic pain: the ways that my fear of pain/re-injury was creating a fight/flight response that was further perpetuating some of my physical pain. Starting to unwind that process has played a big role in helping me trust my body more and not fear/anticipate pain, which has then allowed for more strenuous and complex pilates work. Win-win!
While my previous physical therapy felt stagnant and rote, my sessions with Malina always feel like we get SO MUCH done while somehow also never feeling rushed. An hour with her feels like 3x the value of the physical therapy I was doing previously. I can't recommend her enough and am looking forward to continued progress in our work-- even if I never understand what "initiate the movement from your ribs" actually means lol.

Malina is such a special pilates teacher and human and I’m so grateful to her for helping me trust and restrengthen my body. Between a long-standing abdominal separation (diastasis) and a minor knee injury, I wasn’t able to maintain my normal level of fitness or keep up with my kids. I came to her after an MD suggested a quick fix with steroids :( and a PT’s suggestions aggravated the injury. She tailored a specific program to my needs and stayed incredibly attuned to how she could support me. She checked in after sessions, she listened to my feedback about how certain movements felt and she used her expertise to suggest modifications that would help me reach my goals. Several months later, I’m back to running on the trails, taking 60min yoga classes and walking with zero discomfort. But more importantly, I can be a mama in full commission again. And I owe so much of this to Malina. Highly recommend!

She’s amazing. I’m now a repeat client for a reason. Her space is super clean, her equipment is top-notch, and her approach strikes the perfect balance between encouragement and real results. She breaks things down in a way that makes Pilates feel approachable, even if you’re new or working through injuries.

I heard of Malina through my physical therapist in my postpartum recovery process. After 3 kids and not having exercised in about 5 years, I faced diastasis and overall muscle weakness. My sessions have been amazing — they’ve helped me get stronger, reduce stress and I find myself needing chiropractic adjustments way less often. Malina is a great instructor, she knows when to challenge or motivate me, and she’s helped me like exercising again. A wonderful experience overall.

I found Mina Pilates ATX after undergoing back surgery. I had multiple herniated discs, in both my cervical and lumbar spine with severe nerve compression. After months of physical therapy, I was finally cleared to resume normal exercise and daily activities. I decided to look for a private Pilates instructor and loved the fact that Malina had 24 years of experience working as a PTA in the rehab world. We discussed my goals related to developing core strength, spinal mobility, and postural improvements.
My biggest hurdle after this injury was that I no longer felt connected to my body. I had lost sensation and had resulting weakness in my posterior chain musculature. I didn’t trust my own body to keep me safe and was fearful of certain movement patterns. Malina closely observed and provided real-time, corrective cues. She safely encouraged me to challenge myself and rebuild that mind-body connection. Movement is medicine; thank you Malina for supporting me in my healing journey.

I recently had a session with Malina in her beautiful studio and I loved it so much! I had never tried pilates AT ALL before, and had no idea what to expect. But Malina’s friendly and calming energy immediately put me at ease. I arrived feeling lower energy (day 19 of my menstrual cycle) and left feeling energized! It’s the perfect type of movement for your Luteal phase (for my cycle syncing girlies!) cuz it’s not too overstimulating.
Also, I have been having frequent tailbone pain after working out, but after this session I haven’t had any pain. I really had FUN and enjoyed the balance of challenge and rest. I highly recommend Malina’s pilates!!

I recently took a Zoom class with Mina ATX. I am a women in my late 60’s & have Back & Hip problems. I have worked out at the gym for years, but now find myself having to be very careful with certain exercises that I do. I felt that Pilates might be another form of exercise for me at my age with my limitations. Before we started our class Malina my instructor was very thorough and patient with me. Asking me questions about these health issue's and any limitations that I might have. Throughout the class Malina was able to adapt her Pilates class around my health issues. I felt so good after the class & did not have any pain throughout the class. I would highly recommend Mina Pilates ATX to anyone out there looking for a good Pilates studio. Thank you Malina 😊

Mina has changed my life! She has been working with me for only four months now. I came to Malina with terrible back pain and my right knee is bone on bone. I have had multiple physical therapy sessions over the years and have even been through multiple steroid shots in my back with no success for pain. I was going to have my knee replaced in the next month but now I feel I can definitely keep going. I have minimal pain in both my knee and back. I recently had a Pilates session with Malina, and I can't recommend her enough! I threw my back out and I was in quite a bit of pain, but after just one session with her, I felt such relief. Normally, I'm more into weightlifting and high-intensity workouts, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Pilates as a different way of moving! She tailored the exercises perfectly to my needs, focusing on gentle movements that really helped loosen up the tightness in my back. Not only was the session effective, but her calm and supportive demeanor made the experience so much better. Malina is an exceptional listener and instructor as she helped me to 1) to listen to my body in a way no one ever has and 2) realize slowing down doesn't mean that you won't get results. I have always valued fitness but life has pushed me to be in too much of a hurry for results. After decades of mostly running mixed with some weights I've always known I needed to reconsider things, but life gets too crazy too fast and we fall back into old habits. I'm so grateful to have her help to guide me through a challenging decade of life that I want to be as fully active, energetic yet more intentional than previous ones. I'm excited to learn more from her as I continue to learn new ways to listen to my body as I age and maintain a fitness level that always allows me to be active, fit, energetic and intentional. I recently attended a Pilates session at this beautiful studio, and I can't say enough good things about it! The studio is impeccably designed, with plenty of natural light and a calming vibe that made me feel right at home.

I loved my session, it was low impact but i still sweat and felt like i worked out. My core was sore the next day which never happens with my normal workouts. Malina made me feel really comfortable and I really liked the attention she gave me, to make sure I had good form, and was breathing right (I struggle with that.) She was really knowledgeable about my mobility issues and strengths as well. Very easy to work with, 5 stars 🌟
