Horrible parking situation. Are you guys that strapped for money you need to charge to park. Was here for a Jiu-Jitsu tournament. There is no WiFi available and cell service is almost nonexistent. Restroom situation is ridiculous. One restroom for the entire building. Then you have your employees complaining to other patrons how the groups that are here for competitions really screwed everything up. Maybe you guys should plan better? This place is a disappointment.

I went to a tournament here with my team and the refs SUCK. It was a road to nationals tournament. My players were basically getting beat up on and the refs wouldn't call anything for our team.

Really great facility. It's busy, but it's arguably the best courts around. Web site is easy to use (the only issue is how much it's booked), but worth spending the time to see if you can get in. (They also have open play on Sunday nights for $5)

Great park for outdoor activities, especially softball or baseball. The fields are well kept and spacious. There is some seating for spectators and those playing. I highly recommend that you bring you bring your own lawn chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc. because there are no food trucks or vendors nearby.
Thereβs ample parking and a fairly clean restroom.
I would advise against parking near the fields because a fast ball damage your vehicle.

The only complaint I have about this complex, mostly for the baseball and softball fields, would be the concession stand prices. A family of 4 could easily spend over $50 for a burger, potato wedges, and a drink for each person. Other than that, I like how the complex is laid out and is pretty clean.

Went for the first time for a volleyball tournament. We had to pay for the tournament and then they also charged us for parking to get in. Not only that, they do not allow athletes to bring sports drinks into the gyms. They then charge nearly $5 for each sports drink inside.

Huge complex with walking trails. The city or whoever runs the complex charges you an entrance fee besides the fee you pay for entering the complex. One fee goes to the complex and the other to who ever host the tournament events. That being said the city or whoever runs the complex needs to do better in investing the money back to the complex. Fields are run down, grass is dying, dirt is hard and have holes everywhere on the fields. Do better San Antonio or whomever runs the park.

It has a great basketball/volleyball facility, but one big flaw is the scoreboards behind the stands.
You can't even see the score if you're sitting down. At the very least, they should have a small scoreboard at the scorer's table so everyone can see the score. I can only imagine how many games have been won or lost because of incorrect score keeping that no one could see

I used to Love this place... BUT things have gone down hill. All these years of collecting parking fees & the parking has not improved. All these years of games they are routinely under staffed in the concessions line, the people are rude & snippy, & everyone there seems to have an attitude.
Today for a college level VB event they took time to check the athletes backpacks for food & Gatorade(s) type stuff. What athlete who has to play 3 plus games in a day eats hot dogs and popcorn while playing. This is totally uncalled for & everyone should boycott this City of San Antonio Park location. Additionally, the city should be ashamed to allow these operators to charge fees but yet skirt their intended responsibilities. The parking areas are not safe & there are continual break-ins at just about every event there. As I stated earlier this place has went downhill and have forgotten their intended purpose.

This is the only sportsplex I know of that charges for parking. Just another last ditch grift to squeeze money out of parents and family members supporting our kids in youth sports. We are already paying league fees, tournament fees and you want us to pay to park to support our kids? If the only way you can keep this place running is having two goons in a golf cart collecting money like its a Spurs game. You are doing something wrong!

$5 for parking, ok. Bag checks, ok. No outside food or drinks, including Gatorade, ok. But then all you serve is junk food & $4 Gatorade. The Gatorade price is crazy. I know the food is possibly good, but something other than junk to put in an athlete's stomach between games would be nice. We packed our own food & ate outside but when it's 100Β°+, that's pretty miserable.

Be prepared for overpriced parking in a small parking lot.. then pay again for the entry fee, then dish out more money for overpriced food.
Clogged toilets with one maintenance worker... it's a beautiful facility just poorly maintained.
The toilets are built for kindergarteners, so don't go after your leg day.

How do you express delight in many well-thought facility plans that delight and contribute to the local community and beyond (π trail from pedestrian entrance on Theo Avenue!) yet have flaws that are all the more concerning because the facilities attest that they were all thoroughly planned?
1. exterior doors (other photo) chained and padlocked during indoors sporting event.
2. And no signage as to emergency exits.
This combination can be deadly.
3. Not enough changing facilities. π©· restroom for assistance for adults. But even with few children present, there are people waiting for the babies changing station. After all, changing a baby does take a while, and no one wants the previous adult to rush and not thoroughly clean the station before the next baby.
4. ONLY ONE wheelchair-accessible stall in restroom. So disappointing that a facility so world-class in some aspects is so discriminatory in others. Is this why so many events use Morgan's Wonderland which has some substantial logΓsticas challenges compared to this sports park but it does allow completing athletess to use the restroom!
I witnessed a middle-aged woman rush into the only wheelchair-accessible ahead of a person headed for it. Then there was the repeated sound of the toilet tissue being pulled from the roll. Eventually the woman opened the door and told the person waiting the toilet would not flash because it was full of toilet paper. The other person did flash the toilet--must be very well-designed toilets to not clog!
But that does not negate the responsibility of venue to stop enabming such stalking and harassment of people with disabilities. As the population ages, yes, many more people will be more aware of the needs of persons who have mobility limitations. But there will also be those like the toilet-trasher who exhibit severe mental illness and have developed habits of bullying and likely physically abusing people with disabilities, and have no appropriate mental boundaries to stop the continued enactment of such abuse onto strangers.
Common sense equality of restroom space would limit these opportunities and decrease abuse when people with various disabilities are not excluded from any of the restroom stalls.
5. Variable toilet Heights. Some of them are child height. Not sure how many of what height.
Please HAVE MERCY and LABEL STALL DOORS with toilet height information. This will prevent some adults from being stranded. Please!
6. This is a SPORTS facility, not a move theater. Concessions should not be only junk food.

Cold, every year we go to my son's San Antonio International gymnastics meet, and every year for the past 8 years, they don't have the heat on. Don't lie to us and say "it is on and it takes days to warm up." You just want to save money on the expense that you would incur on heating such a large space. The only time I'm ever there is in Feb, you know it's cold in Texas in Feb, so start heating your gymnasium. You make enough money that weekend on parking, concessions, and rental, so please make your paying customers comfortable.

Been around the world to contests. Have always taken a cooler so we could have food or drinks to not upset stomachβs at these events.
To be told take coolers to your car when itβs an outdoor event that was supposed to be inside. It was hot outside and the complex didnβt have anything ready.

I have been here for the second time, entry is way over priced. I payed $75 for the weekend for 2 adults and 1 child. What I did like is all of the talent that is presented, wow!, to be able to see all these kids off the street and showing off what they got is amazing. Lastly, the amount of money that is being made every single day is a pretty big amount! I would invest in younger refβs, it was quite upsetting how they could not get up and down the court fast enough. You canβt match a 60 year old man to a high school athletic student it just isnβt right. The kids were getting hurt left and right, come on conception you can do better.

This place charges outrageous prices. $10 a car!! At times they charge for vehicle and per person! Itβs absolutely ridiculous. What happened to $3 entry fee. To top it off the ppl working concession stand are extremely slow and you waste the entire night standing in line for literally 35 minutes. I didnβt even get to watch the game because of how long the line takes. I refuse to let my children play sports here anymore. Charging these poor parents ridiculous amounts to see their children play is sad!! 5 Diamonds is nicer, fast lines and free to get in people! Stop giving these scammers your hard working money! Probably paying for these people to drive a Denali while weβre struggling to pay just to see our children play sports.
