Christine is incredible! Today was my first time at the studio, and she made sure I felt welcome as soon as I arrived. The class was a fantastic workout. I felt challenged as a beginner, but never overwhelmed. She helped with suggestions to improve my form, and guided me kindly through the entire session. I loved my experience and will be recommending this studio to everyone I know. 10/10!

Mode 8 Hot Yoga is amazing! Thunder classes are a workout! I challenge you men out there to see if you can keep up with the women. My money is on the women! Christine and Kendal are amazing instructors keeping advanced and beginners challenged and feeling informed on how to execute the different poses to your level. If a little more instruction or just a slower tempo is needed Flow classes are the place to be. For you golfers out there the flexibility and strength I’ve gained has increased distance and accuracy which of course shaved a few strokes off my handicap. I’ve lost fewer golf balls and won a few more bets covering well over the cost of Mode 8! Mode 8 Yoga is a win win!

All the yoga instructors here are top notch. They have many years of experience and they really care about their customers. This place is the best in town and the pricing is very reasonable.

They closed with ZERO notice for a few months so they could increase their price by 66% and add a $48 initiation fee with nothing new to offer. Teachers are great, but the business model is offensive. The studio space isn't worth the price. No showers here and I never got an introduction to the studio. What is this about? Yoga is highly community-based and this felt so financially motivated that it turns customers sour.

This morning I took Sandra’s 5:30am Cool Flow class. I felt a little nervous going in as in the past when I’ve attended other studios I’ve quickly felt lost in the crowd and have fallen behind with the teachers instructions. It’s been years since I’ve taken a class bc of this very reason. Sandra’s class was exceptional. From the moment I entered the class the environment was warm, calm, and very welcoming. I honestly feel like I could have fallen right back to sleep with how soothing Sandra’s voice was. She verbally directed each pose so well that I could keep my eyes closed and fall right into it without having to look around to make sure I was doing it correctly. She took us to the next pose effortlessly and with perfect timing. I never once felt rushed. She helped us set our intentions for the day, which I needed after a rough week, and I can confidently tell you 10 hours later I truly needed that class and to set those intentions. It was the reset I NEEDED to be a present, calm, loving, and patient mom for the rest of the week.

I have been to 2 classes so far, and have thoroughly enjoyed both!

The first class I went to was a cool flow class with Janeth. My mom and I went to this on a Wednesday morning, and it ended up being a class of 3. It was a wonderful class. This was both of our first experience taking yoga, and I felt that it was a great introduction. I left with a very light sweat and a relaxed mind. I had the energy and motivation to have a productive day.

The other class I took was a rain class with Sandra. I took this on a Tuesday at 7:30 (also I really appreciate that they have classes after 6, so I actually have a chance to attend after work). This class had about 5 or 6 people. Sandra placed candles around the class and played very relaxing music. Before we started, she asked each person if they were okay if she walked around and touched us to help us get into position throughout class (I felt that was very respectful). This class was not hot, and it was very slow paced, which I believe really helped me to relax. We got into positions and held them for longer than the cool flow class. Throughout, Sandra was very attentive. She made sure to check in and help me adjust when I was struggling (which was a lot lol. It was definitely my second class). She also lightly massaged my back/hips/feet(with a towel over them) as she went. By the time class ended, I was ready to go to bed! I slept significantly more restful after this.

Overall both classes were different, but I feel that they achieved different things. I am super excited to return to Mode 8 for more classes. I will definitely be trying the Thunder class soon

I highly recommend Warm Flow 5:30am class to get your day started. This class was a good challenge, but not overwhelming. Sandra made me feel confident in where I am in my capabilities and I never felt judged. I look forward to attending another class soon!

I regret to share my disappointment with Mode 8 Yoga Studio. Despite paying for a yearly membership upon opening their "new location" in the Heights, the studio abruptly shut down after two months, leaving me to travel 30 miles to their other location for classes. What's more frustrating is the complete lack of communication from the studio, as they failed to respond to my inquiries across multiple platforms. It was only through word of mouth that I learned of the closure. This lack of transparency and disregard for customer concerns is unacceptable. I strongly advise against investing in this studio until they demonstrate a commitment to their client's well-being and communicate effectively about any changes in operations.

Attended Sandra's Renew & Stretch session last week. It is the perfect compliment to your warm or hot yoga sessions. Relaxing gentle moves with time to settle into poses. Good working out soreness, lumps and bumps. Or just to relax. Also great for beginners to learn poses at a relaxed pace

I have tried a variety of classes here. You will get a well-rounded workout in such a supportive environment. This place is soulful.

Every instructor here is so kind and has something unique to offer. From the stretch and Renew class to hot yoga Thunder and everything in between. This place has been my main place to get movement in.

And it feels so. good. to sweat it out here.

First of all - everyone here is SO nice. They are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Even all the individuals taking the class were kind.
As for the class itself - I did the $29 two weeks to try it out. I have a mild disability that is very obvious and makes yoga rather difficult for me so I tend to avoid it - however, I love the idea of yoga and all the benefits it offers so I took a chance and tried it and I’m so so glad it was here. I started with yin Yang flow, and the instructor, Isabel, points out throughout the class that you should always listen to your body and make and modifications that you need, and suggests different variations. She makes the class feel welcoming and accessible to everyone while still providing a level of challenge that can help you grow. I really can’t express how much it meant to me to make it through an entire yoga class without feeling like I didn’t belong. Which you know, I always thought is what yoga should be like. I will definitely be going back here over and over.

I first came to Mode 8 to gain flexibility and stretch more on a regular basis. Since joining about 10 months ago I have gained inner peace and happiness. I look forward to going to class and I’m upset when I can’t make it at least 3 days a week. I love the community, the classes, and the instructors. I’ve also gained lean muscle a long with a healthier lifestyle.

I’ve been going to Mode 8 for a little over a year now and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place. Yoga can be scary for the first time, or even trying a new studio can be nerve wrecking, but this place feels like a home away from home. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I go as often as I can with my crazy schedule but there’s always a class available for me. I’ve tried majority of the instructors and they’re all amazing. The owner Christine is great and has always accommodated me when I needed. Thank you Mode 8 🤍

08/18/2022: I have been attending classes at Mode 8 for over one year. The studio is esthetically pleasing, clean and neatly organized. The owner is responsive to one's needs and all of the instructors are very professional. I look forward to attending yoga classes at Mode 8 week after week. Eileene Grozier.
2021: I have attended several types of classes at Mode 8 Yoga Studio. Each one has been very beneficial and each instructor has been very professional. I met the owner (Christine) today. She had fixed a technical issue on my app. She was very nice and I am quite appreciative of all that Mode 8 Yoga has to offer. I look forward to attending consistently, meeting more instructors and challenging my practice. Thank you. Namaste!

This studio is more than a building for yoga or fitness classes, it’s a community that welcomes you in and makes you family. The instructors are extremely friendly and helpful. The class sizes are small so it’s not intimidating and the schedule is flexible enough to make it work w/ a variety of class options. The studio is clean and inviting with stocked showers for women and men. There’s a cute boutique with reasonably priced items. The community/students are the most friendliest people you will ever meet. I waited over two years to write an honest review.

I cannot say enough good things about this studio. They are serious about their commitment to being the best yoga and fitness studio in Houston. I became a member after only my third class because I knew I had to be a regular part of this positive and welcoming space! All of the instructors are fantastic (seriously!) and I've never been disappointed by a class. I actually live 20 minutes away from the studio, so this is a longer commute than from my previous gym, but it is well worth the drive. They have a great special where newbies can try unlimited classes for 2 weeks so check this place out!

All good things to say about Mode 8. I have had Mode 8’s Red Tag membership for 6 months and only recently cancelled my membership because I will be moving and no longer able to attend classes on a regular basis. While the studio is primarily known for their yoga classes, they also offer a Lightning Strength class that incorporates HIIT. The flows may challenge you but most instructors offer alternative poses for different levels so you feel comfortable moving at your own pass and doing what feels right for your own body. In the past, the studio has partnered with Harris County Precinct 2 to offer free yoga in the park which I attended on several occasions and loved. The instructors, including the studio's owner, are all skilled, kind, and charismatic. 10/10 recommend giving this studio a try.

I have been at Mode8 for 5 months and my physical and mental health have never been better! Christine is so welcoming, and her Hot Thunder Class is amazing. You will be sore in the best way after taking it. Her sound baths are a magical experience as well; I highly recommend trying it at least once. I have leveled up on so many skills through Kendell's warm flow on Thursdays. I love that his classes are in a series, so you work toward mastery of a skill for a few months at a time. There are always fun events happening as well. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

The owner, Christine, does an amazing job of creating a community with multiple class options, times, and even providing online classes for those out of town or at high risk for covid.

When I started Mode 8, i was an amateur yogi with limited experience. The team creates an environment that makes everyone feel welcome as opposed to intimidated. I would highly recommend this studio to any one who is looking to improve, get a good workout, catch some zen, or get in a good stretch,

I am an instructor at Mode 8 Yoga and Fitness. I completed my 200+ hr RYT training last June 2020. I then applied to Mode 8 in October and Christine and all the instructors welcomed me with open and loving arms. Here I have found and created a voice/name for myself, I have found confidence in myself as a leader, and without question constantly being supported/uplifted by everyone (instructors and clients) each step of the way. I would say the studio is definitely my home away from home. Not only do I come into the studio to teach but to also take classes for my own personal practice.. and boy have I improved. Coming from a holistic background when I saw the room had infrared lighting I was so excited. Infrared light not only being so good for your cells and mitochondria it allow my muscles to relax so I find myself melting into each pose a little more each class improving with time. I highly recommend Mode 8 for beginners to advanced. I like to remind people if you can breathe you can do yoga. I promise you will leave the studio feeling better than when you walked in. The community here is beautiful in each and every way!

Mode 8 is so much more than a fitness studio, they are building a community of wellness. I love the energy and power of the hot thunder yoga and total body (i.e., HIIT) classes! The instructors are supportive and motivating and offer alternate exercises to increase or decrease the intensity. They emphasize strength, balance, and positivity in every class. There are a variety of other yoga and meditation classes that I haven't taken yet, but they must be good because they are well attended. In addition to fitness classes, they also offer massages, juices, cute yoga clothes, and they organize yoga retreats. The owner, Christine, is a warm and wonderful yogi, but don't let that fool you because she is a beast in the total body workout classes! I’ve been a member since March 2019, and ALL of the instructors are very knowledgeable, creative, and motivating. I go regularly to cardio kickboxing, and I am always challenged. They also have weekend yoga classes at locations other than the studio (i.e. at the park, the lawn at baybrook, Snooze AM, etc.) The staff as a whole are incredibly sweet and cool to talk too. I've only been coming here for a month and I can already see an improvement in my overall health and physique. I highly recommend this studio!!
Oh and another plus, they really care about the your input concerning any and everything to do with the studio and classes! So its nice to be heard and have a say on upcoming changes.

This studio offers a variety of classes with heavy bass beats in the background. The Lighting is low and there are no mirrors in the yoga room which helps keep you focused during meditation.

I can’t say enough about Mode 8. It doesn’t matter your experience or ability, each instructor makes you feel at ease. Yoga there gives me such energy and positivity that carries into the remainder of my days. Finding my fitness and flexibility again has been life changing. I’m so thankful to have an incredible place so close to home;-)

Mode 8 is a studio with a great community atmosphere where yoga and high intensity fitness classes are offered. The instructors are down-to-earth and provide suggestions if people need modifications in either type of class. Yoga classes have dim, colored lights which help with relaxation and focus. Most classes are heated. The fitness/kickboxing class is fast-paced, fun and will get you in shape. There are people at all different stages of their yoga and/or fitness journey here and everyone can feel at home at Mode 8. Highly recommend this studio!

I was simply looking for a hot yoga class when I walked into Mode 8 to get information. I have neck and back injuries and have gained about 60 pounds since my back surgery. My doctor suggested hot yoga to loose weight and alleviate pain. Mode offered me a great deal for yoga and kickboxing; the perfect combination. The kickboxing workout is awesome and the yoga classes are amazing. I absolutely love the variations of yoga classes offered and the knowledge that the instructors bring makes it worth my while. I haven’t missed a day since I signed up and my body is felling great.

Thanks guys for making me feel energized and strong again.

Been going to Mode 8 since January 2019. The place is awesome! Offers many different class times. I like 6am or 6pm right before or after work. Christine is the best yoga instructor I've had. Every class is a little different flow, and I learn something new every time. Alway feel better and more relaxed after a class.

I just walked out of my first yoga class here, and my mind and body feel so rejuvenated. I work long & stressful hours, so this is just what I need in my life! As a beginner, I could follow along and feel challenged as well. I'm looking forward to my next class already! Thank you, Christine!

This is not just a yoga studio; they offer a variety of yoga classes, as well at meditation, strength training, High Intensity Interval Training, kickboxing, and Jiu Jitsu. The rooms and facilities are open, inviting, and very clean. The restrooms even have showers and toiletries for post-workout cleanup.

The Mode 8 app makes it so convenient to register for classes each day. It even sends reminders to your calendar and email!

I'm so glad to have discovered this studio in the neighborhood, and I'm really looking forward to the new year with Mode 8!
