Love Hesoo! She’s incredibly professional and detail-oriented. She always takes the time to talk through what areas you want to focus on or improve, and then tailors a plan specifically for you. She’s also super friendly and has a great sense of humor. One thing that really impressed me—during a casual chat I mentioned wanting to improve my golf game, and in the very next session, she added exercises to help me stabilize my body. It made a noticeable difference! Every session, you can see how observant and knowledgeable she is. I always feel safe, supported, and motivated with her.

Hesoo changed my life. When I started Pilates I had pain walking. Today I know the proper stretches and weights to use to keep my body in shape and feeling great. I've been to a different pilates studio for 5+ years but I was not feeling the effectiveness of it especially when I kept waking up in the early morning with a really tight back. While I was researching for a new instructor, Hesoo caught my eye as she does PT and Pilates. After 4 sessions with her, I haven't been waking up with back stiffness and pain (of course I did the recommended homework as well). Feeling relieved from pain, I continued to schedule sessions with her for maintenance and I feel like my posture and core is much better than what it was. I'm so glad that I was able to meet Hesoo before she moves to NYC. I highly recommend seeing her as she is one of the best teacher I've come across.

Hesoo has been a miracle worker. She has helped me to regain the strength back in my quads, hips, leg muscles. After working with her for several months, I am able to get up and down from sitting in a chair and also able to climb stairs again! She’s a pleasure to work with. Highly Recommend!! Hesoo is a wonderful teacher - very knowledgeable, personable, professional and she has a gifted teaching style. She is diligent in her planning and uses her time very effectively. I wanted to increase my strength, balance and posture - Hesoo was very thoughtful in her approach and each session was totally customized to me and well planned out. Her instruction hit every area that was important to me as well as worked on mobility areas I was unaware of!! I enjoyed working with her and, unlike with experiences at other studios, I always looked forward to her class. Absolutely loved my time here, she made me feel right at home and didn’t make me feel judged for being on the bigger side. The workouts are deceptively simple but you definitely feel them the next day for sure! I was sore in muscles I didn’t even know I had haha. One on one instruction was so valuable to me as large class settings are overwhelming and I’m a little too shy for them. Absolutely love Hesoo!

I have taken Pilates for over 20 years and after knee replacement and the development of stenosis in my back I figured my days of Pilates were over. Due to complications with my surgery and a longer than “normal” recovery time I was afraid of hurting myself and/or making my back worse. Those were some dark days for me.
Enter Hesoo and Motion Heal Studio! I have never experienced this type of professional PT or Pilates. Hesoo is brilliant. She is patient and every exercise is tailored to where my body is on that day. She is focused and watchful and makes corrections to my form that make all the difference in the world. I have gained strength, balance, control, and confidence in my body and what it can do.
It would not be an overstatement to say that Hesoo has changed my life.

This place has helped me soo much, I’m not a fan of gyms or personal trainers at a gym, or even orange theory, this is specialized one on one training that gives me a great workout and helps me at my core and posture in an environment that isn’t intimidating at all or stressful, it’s a very serene environment for getting stronger!

I have enjoyed my time with Hesoo who is a very professional instructor and who assessed my specific weaknesses and established a Pilates program to address these issues not only with the equipment in her studio but also specifying exercises to do at home. Hesoo is an absolutely fantastic instructor! I came to her with concerns about my arm, neck, and shoulder pain due to my occupation as an artist and my hyper mobility. She not only developed a plan to improve my strength, she also helped me identify other areas of my body that should be strengthened in order to alleviate my pain. She is kind, very attentive, and incredibly fun to learn from. I am so grateful for her instruction and insight into how my body works (or doesn’t work) and how to work towards becoming stronger, healthier, and more pain free! Her studio is comfortable, clean, cozy, and her equipment is top notch! I would recommend her classes to anyone that is looking for an instructor that truly cares about what YOU want and need from your Pilates journey.

I have been wanting to try private pilates for a while and I’m so happy to have found Motion Heal Studio. The studio is very calm, clean and relaxing! I just finished my first 10 sessions and I feel so much better than before. Hesoo is an amazing pilates instructor, she is very kind and caring, her expertise in physical therapy and pilates has been very transformative for me. I always look forward to our sessions and always feel refreshed and renewed afterwards. I have been taking Pilates at Motion Heal Studio with Hesoo for the past 2 months.
This was my first attempt at Pilates and my primary reason was to strengthen my muscles and bones and become more flexible.
Since doing so, I have had incredible results. I feel stronger, elongated, and have more energy for a 70 year old!

Amazing!!! I was in critical shape after hospitalization and combined with co-morbidities I was basically immobile ( lacking balance, endurance, strength etc). Hesoo evaluated my conditions, developed a personalized plan and diligently worked with me. She made each session so enjoyable I never felt I was working out. Her attention to detail is remarkable. Her encouragement motivating, her attitude uplifting. I am now stronger and happier than I have been in many years. Having had physical therapists in the past I can confidently state none are even near her level. With a background in microbiology and chemistry I am not easily impressed. She is without any reservation THE BEST!!!

Love working with Hesoo from Motion Heal Studio! She has a very unique way of structuring her lessons as she incorporates her expertise as a physical therapist and a pilates instructor. I just finished my first 10 classes with her and it has truly been transformative, compared to group lessons from different studios. Not only have I noticed improvements in my posture, but also a significant reduction in neck and shoulder pain. It’s amazing how her classes sometimes feel like a great massage. I leave feeling refreshed and revitalized from working all the tight muscles.

I absolutely loved every moment of my class with Hesoo! She has such a unique way of merging her PT knowledge with Pilates to truly help heal and strengthen the body. She educates you as well while you do exercises and is able to cue you easily so you engage the correct muscles. We also got to try dry needling which was super exciting and I feel so relaxed and centered post class. Best Pilates experience I’ve ever had!
P.S. As a ballet teacher I would highly recommend this to anyone who dances for some cross training. It’s so helpful!

Hesoo is both an amazing Physical therapist and a Pilates instructor. Definitely worth coming back again and again.
Her virtual one-on-one training sessions during the pandemic were incredible and helped me so much when it came to strengthening my core when I was experiencing a lot of lower back pain. She truly has great body awareness and an understanding of alignment. It certainly shows through her Pilates class instructions which are thoughtful, intentional, and easy to follow and understand. And when you are ready for a challenge, she definitely knows how to guide you to reach your utmost potential. Plus she gives great feedback during class sessions.
And if you are lucky to have a PT session with her, it is well worth it. I had the worst tightness in my quads and my I.T. bands, and she dug in and worked through them. The relief I had after was amazing. I am definitely due for another very soon.

I needed physical therapy to help me with an old back injury that occasionally comes back as spasms. I was interested in using Pilates to help stretch and strengthen but I was nervous about using the equipment.
