Very happy with Nitro. My kids have progressed more in the past 2 months than every before. We have attended a number of swim schools over the years and this one is miles ahead.

We're really happy with Nitro! Our daughter got 3 different swimming lessons before, this one is absolutely the best we got so far!
We love the way the coaches teach swimming, like everyday is a testing day. It really boosts her confidence! About the coaches, all of them are GREAT!

We have had a wonderful experience at Nitro. We've been attending there since our daughter was in "mommy & me" classes and now she is almost 7! The staff and coaches are incredibly helpful and have assisted in both of my kids with learning how to swim.

My son is 8 yrs old, he is a transfer from Nitro Swimming Cedar Park to the Bee Cave location. He loves it! The front desk staff are attentive and friendly. His swim instructor is great, I’m impressed with his attention to detail and enforcement of proper technique. Overall, my family is very pleased with my son’s progress and definitely recommend to anyone needing to learn how to swim.

I’m very happy and satisfied with the overall professionalism at this swim school! The instructors are friendly, patient, and very hands-on. The coaches guide the kids with honor and tact, and it’s clear they truly care about their progress. The facility is always clean and welcoming, and I love the positive, professional atmosphere. I feel confident in the long-term training and learning my two kiddos are receiving here. Highly recommend!

Our daughter has been taking swim classes at Nitro. She loves it so much. The coaches are so well trained and so sweet with the kids. They have great ways of teaching form and techniques to kids in a way that makes sense to them, and they make it fun. The way the program builds is really smart and the milestones along the way keep it motivating too!

Make sure nothing happens to your kid 2 hours before class because there’s no way they would help you to reschedule, you need 12 hours to plan the absence regardless of the situation.

We had our 3-year-old there for around a month or so, and the experience was very inconsistent. One week, she had an amazing teacher, while another time she had a teacher who clearly didn't want to be there. On one occasion, the teacher spent most of the class trying to convince another kid to jump to the water who didn't want the class, and on another occasion, the same teacher taught my daughter a skill below her level just to accommodate the second kid. My daughter didn't want to go to the classes anymore.

I think this is my second 5 star review but couldn’t find my old one to add to it πŸ˜† I just had to shout out Coach Naomi and Coach Kai for how they have supported my daughter’s growth in not only swimming skills but also in resilience and working through challenges. Their patience and flexibility knows no bounds and I’m ASTOUNDED by her progress. This is truly a very very special place!

After two other schools and a private teacher we came to Nitro and they are hands down the best swimming teachers we have encountered. Our kid is moving right through the program, and after just a couple of months I just watched them swim across the whole pool on their own. The teachers are dedicated to helping these kids swim and the supervisors are always present and helping from the edge of the pool. Exceptional experience for us. Just started kid #2.

Nitro has been amazing. From the start, I could see how much attention they give to each kid. The coaches know my child's name and are always so present and patient with her. They’ve done such a great job of helping her improve without ever making her feel stressed or pressured. She loves going to class and has really gained confidence in the water. I’m so happy with the care and support Nitro Swim School has given her!

So much more than swim practice. This place and the people there are incredible at what they do. Grateful for the confidence, accountability, discipline, and commitment they instill in the kids. Oh yeah! And the fast swimming that comes as a result of world class coaches and all of their positivity! We are blessed to be part of Nitro. 🧑

Nitro has helped our child discover untapped potential. The program not only builds incredible physical strength and endurance, but and as importantly, it instills the values of competition smarts, confidence, grit and determination to do hard things. Swimming is such an incredible "rehearsal for life.". The coaching staff is focused on bringing out the best in your child and pushing them to have the discipline to want to strive to be their best. Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? You bet!

My children have been attending this club for almost a year now, and while most things are fine, there is one significant issue I want to highlight for other parents.

When we first transferred to this location from another club, the coach placed my children in a slightly lower-level group, assuring us that evaluations occur every 2-3 weeks, and they would be moved up if they met the requirements. However, after nearly a year, I can confidently say there is no regular evaluation or rotation process in place.

Advancing to the next level is extremely challenging, even if your child outperforms their peers. Unless parents actively push for a review and insist on a reassessment, it’s unlikely their child will be moved up. I’ve seen parents escalate to the director of the entire network just to get their children evaluated and promoted. On the other hand, children with less skill sometimes advance simply because their parents are persistent, while stronger swimmers remain stuck in lower-level groups.

The system seems designed to discourage advancement, possibly incentivizing coaches to keep students in their groups. I’ve even witnessed families transferring their children to other clubs out of frustration with this process.

Overall, this lack of transparency and fairness is a major drawback that parents should be aware of before enrolling their children.

Our children took classes at Nitro swimming and learned a lot in one year. The coaches are top notch and genuinely care about their students. They teach correct technique and water safety, but they also teach good sportsmanship, goal setting and helped my kids build self confidence in and out of the water. The coaches were a great influence on my kids and made swimming a lot of fun for them. Coming here was the highlight of our week.

The front desk was always professional, friendly and took time to explain things when I had a question. The facilities are clean, and their classes very affordable. We love Nitro swimming and all the coaches and I can’t recommend them enough!

They have a policy where they let boys use the girls' locker room and they share the same shower. Please be aware that there is no age limit on how old boys can enter the locker room, the management just turns a blind eye and supports their policy that as long as the boy is accompanied with a female, they are free to use the girl's shower

Coaches are generally good but they switch every week so the progress evaluation can be inconsistent. The front desk service is awful, unprofessional, and discriminatory, while the administration is blind-sided with the front desk, instead of improving the service. Go to Emler or Waterloo swimming.

Where do I start to narrate the awesomeness of this place!! If you are looking for a swim school that takes your kid's swimming as their ultimate passion, look no further!! From the stellar management to senior instructors that go above and beyond to make swimming an enjoyable experience for the kids, this place is absolutely top notch! Their proficiency in teaching swimming techniques to the kids is spot on. We are also touched everyday by their love, compassion, dexterity and unflinching commitment to our kids swimming experience. Special shout to Kyle, Kay, Evin, Naomi, Emily, Will, Taylor, and I am sure I am missing more names we are thankful to from the depth of our hearts! My wife reminds me that I am writing a review here, because I can write a book of praise for them! Thank you guys!! You rock :) I can't recommend anyone higher!!

This place is the best you can get in a swim school, period. How much ever comfortable or uncomfortable the child is, in the water, he will learn to swim! The instructors are so admirably involved in the lessons with each child, they know where the gaps are and how to fill them. They have a systematic process to document the details from each class, which helps them in seamless transition from class to class, even if the child is not with the same coach each time. And most importantly, they make an effort to make every class fun for the children! All the coaches are great and we really appreciate them all, but just to name a few Kyle, Kay, Will, Naomi, Taylor, Evan, Emily are awesome!
All in all, a great school to learn swimming!

We have been with Nitro for close to 3 years. We started with the swim school and are now on the swim team. Nitro has consistently produced results and it is one of the only businesses that we have interacted with that has not made mistakes, is professional, and produces results - from the billing and admin to the swim school, outstanding facilities, and empowering swim team.

The foundation of Nitro's excellence is the swimming school Head, Kyle Finnie. He spends a lot of time recruiting and training the swim teachers in both swim skills, but also how to empower children and teach children to enjoy the process of becoming a good swimmer. Kyle is very selective with who teachers for Nitro and the training is detailed. Kyle oversees each teaching session (and training session), and he knows each child's name. Despite the large number of students, on any given day you can give him a child's name and he can tell you the child's progress, what they need to get to the next station (level), and what motivates the child. Kyle is there beyond the hours he is required to be. He proactively reaches out to the parents with updates and suggestions to help the children reach their goals. He understands each child, what motivates them and how to best communicate with them. Kyle takes the time to learn this with hundreds of children. Nitro has continued to build its capabilities to support swimmers. Most recently, they have produced YouTube videos that discuss each station and what children need to do to go to the next station. We found this digital support and Kyle's feedback and attention incredibly helpful to our child’s success

Kyle is engaged, and involved and the swim school is his career path, and Nitro is not just a stop to the next job. This is where he wants to be. Consequently, he is very engaged and constantly improving the process and the child's experience. Kyle also stays engaged in the child's progress when the child moves to the swim team. He watches the kids, checks in with them continues to identify growth opportunities, and encourages the children to do their best and enjoy swimming. Nitro initially seeks to produce well-rounded athletes, as well as swimmers with outstanding strokes, focus, and sportsmanship. The swim team is extremely competitive and that goes without saying.

Given the years and hundreds of interactions at Nitro, I can say that we have not had a single issue, disappointment, or snag. It is a well-run machine. Kyle's leadership, his extraordinary ability to manage his team and the organization, his unparalleled ability to get along with people, his direct and constructive communication skills, and his disposition (and genuine interest in a child's growth) are the foundation of Nitro's swim school, the transition to swim team and Nitro’s success overall.

We are very happy with what our experience at Nitro has been, we loved it. We can notice how every day and with each class our son advances in his learning of swimming techniques.
Going through the different stations of each level has not always been easy, because they represent a challenge for the children, and I have loved the support and commitment that the coaches have had to help overcome the challenges that my son has had. They always do each class enjoyable and fun, so my 5-year-old son, wants to continue learning and enjoying swimming. Thanks a lot!

Nitro is fantastic swim school. All my kiddos went here and loved it! Owner is kind, professional and passionate about his profession guy. Friendly front desk, clean facility, good coach/student ratio (maximum 3 kids per coach), some good and some absolutely great coaches, great program that allows you easily track progress of you little one and know what would be next stroke/kick they will be learning. Overall I would not look any further if I wanted my little to become a confident swimmer. Also they have swim teams with amazing, caring coaches if you already good swimmer. 10 out of 10 facility

My daughter has been learning swimming at Nitro since fall 2023 when she was 4.5 year old. The lessons are well designed. The most impressive part is all the coaches that we met. My daughter randomly refused to get into the pool for no reason, or cried for a specific coach, etc. .. Coach Emily and Coach Kyle are always patient, play games with my daughter, help her calm down and feel safe and comfortable. All the coaches in water are also really nice and encouraging. They are awesome!

Our family has greatly benefitted from the tremendous swimming program offered by Nitro. After only a few months of enrollment, my three girls have shown significant progress and a growing interest in swimming. The organized and structured program offered by Nitro allows parents to feel engaged and informed during their child's lessons with an ever-present focus on safety and encouragement. While we initially planned to participate in classes for the sake of safety and learning, it has become clear that our children want to continue their lessons with Nitro to become even stronger and more competitive swimmers. This is a true testament to the program they're providing to families in Bee Cave! Thank you Nitro for the work you're doing to invest in our community and to foster a love of swimming in our children.

My wife and I have had three boys enrolled in Bee Cave Nitro since Aug 2023. The boys loved learning there. The program and operation were well-organized. Instructors and staffs were kind and caring. We believe it is one of the best institutions where kiddos enjoy learning to swim. We were sorry that the boys had to quit due to relocation. It wouldn't be easy to find one as good as Nitro.

My daughter joined Nitro 1 at the end of 2021 and has just completed their learn to swim program. She is very excited to join the swim team and it is because of Nitro that she loves swimming so much. The coaches are patient and make the classes fun and engaging. They teach the proper techniques in a scaffolded way that is easy to understand. They are particular with performing each stroke correctly before moving a student up and I appreciate this as it’s important to learn the strokes properly before developing bad habits. The coaches and swim school manager Kyle, are always on hand to answer any parent questions or concerns. They are very accommodating and I was even able to organize a couple private sessions to fine tune some techniques. Nitro has a variety of programs for all levels and I can’t wait to see what is next for my daughter. I would highly recommend Nitro Bee Cave!

I recently started with Nitro and am very pleased. We were previously going to another place but felt my son was not being taught properly or corrected and was building bad habits. What I loved about Nitro is that they focus on the details and on teaching your child the proper swimming technique from the start so he doesn't build bad habits. Knowing the correct swimming techniques make swimming a lot easier and more enjoyable! So far from what I have seen here in Austin and back in London this seems to be an excellent swimming school.

We registered our grandson into a Nitro 1 class . He had some private lessons during the summer. Once he began classes he has steadily become a strong swimmer and loves and looks forward to going to class every week.

The one thing I really appreciate is that each swimmer is evaluated weekly and can basically progress independently. That is due to the enthusiasm and experience of each instructor he has had. As far as we are concerned Nitro has been and continues to be a very positive experience for us. Thank You Nitro !

Extremely rude staff and we were told our family wasn’t welcome there in front of my children. We had cancelled a class awhile back because my child was too shy to get into the water and they wanted to charge us for the entire season. They don’t do trials which I think is strange considering some small children may not be ready for swim. I am appalled and extremely offended by how the staff treated myself and acted in front of my children!

Hello!!! So, I’ve been a swimmer at Nitro since I was doing their swim lessons program, so I’ve been at Nitro for about ten years. I’ve also been on the Nitro swim team since I was nine. I just want to say… If you’re looking for a comfortable environment, or a place to make friends, or even a coach to talk to, Nitro is the perfect place for you. There have been times when I’ve felt lost, and coming to swim practice and talking to my coaches about ANYTHING would save my day. The swim program is immaculate, and the team as a whole is EXTREMELY warm and welcoming. Let me start out by saying how amazing the coaches are. Every single coach on the pool deck has a positive attitude, and no matter how hard their day was, they do their best to uplift the swimmers and help them grow and improve, not JUST as swimmers, but as people. Every coach is amazing and unique in their own way, and loves every swimmer, no matter the circumstances. Next, I want to talk about the teammates. All the teammates at Nitro do their best to help each other grow, and push each other. I’ve made COUNTLESS friends here at Nitro Swimming. All the kids in my group work their BUTTS off, even if the workouts are painful. Finally, I want to say the environment as a whole is really exciting and uplifting. Everyone on the swim team gives each other racing advice, helps with hydration, and just mental well being as a whole. Nitro has given me a place to be the dorky swimmer that I am, which is why if you’re looking for a new team that will uplift your children, Nitro is one hundred percent the PERFECT place for you. Everyone here wants to see each other thrive, and everyone loves each other here. That’s the best thing about being here. So, thank you, Coach Mike, and thank you to all of the coaches at Nitro Swimming, and thank you to all of my amazing teammates. Nitro Swimming wouldn’t be the same without all of the dedication and passion we put into it. ❀️

We currently have two girls (2 and 5 yrs) that started swim lessons at Nitro Bee Cave four or so weeks ago. Before classes began, my five year old would cry and panic when water would wash over her face. In these very short weeks, she is holding her breath underwater, floating on her back, and now kicking/paddling on her back across the pool. Although I am always there to watch her progress, it means a great deal when we receive her progress report email that shares skills accomplished and new skills being introduced and worked on.
The instructors have been encouraging, enthusiastic, and very patient and kind. As a parent, it is a huge relief when your child has overcome a major fear of water and shows true excitement about each new lesson at Nitro. I honestly can't say enough on how amazing our experience has been so far.

My daughter, now 6, took swim lessons here for the last 2 years. She can get across any pool now, but for the money it's not worth it. I stopped my plan so that my daughter could do summer rec 4 days a week. That program is great! They said they would not let me use my make up tokens (from COVID season) for swim lessons after or during summer rec because my daughter did not continue lessons during summer rec. I can accept that it is the policy, but I don't like it. My daughter tried the evaluation after two years of lessons and 2 months of 4 days a week with the summer rec program and she is still recommended for more $80-100 a month lessons. This place is not worth the money for swim lessons for young children (4-6 years), do private lessons somewhere else instead and come back here for the summer rec.

Used Nitro for swim lessons. The lessons were fine and it helped my swimming.

This review is for the office staff and management who are strictly out to make as much money as possible. I told my instructor that I was done with the class at the end of May and wanted to cancel. He told me no problem and that it was done. I proceeded to get charged for June and when I called they said they couldn't refund my money but would cancel it moving forward. I've since been charged for July and August after making several more phone calls and visiting in person it is hopefully taken care of. Out $300 for swim lessons I no longer needed or attended.

This is the "big box store" of swim lessons. They do not care about you as an individual and simply want to bring in as much money as possible.

Swimming was an important skill I wanted my kids to learn (hopefully sooner than later). I went through different swimming schools, private lessons, neighborhood swimming lessons and I just couldn’t find a place where I could really see that my kids were advancing. I was frustrated with the level of the instructors, the amount of kids per Instructor etc. I had heard about Nitro and I just though β€œit’s probably like the rest”. We’ll let me assure you it’s not. Now that we are here, I am thrilled to see my kids really learning!! I have been able to watch their skills flourish and I am so in awe of the patience and knowledge of the coaches. They are also very kind and friendly. I am sorry I wasted so much money and time in other places. This is it, Nitro has been making all the difference. I am not a nervous reck anymore with my kids being around a swimming pool. I know they have learned their safety skills and so much more.

We love the Nitro Swim School and had the most wonderful experience this past year. My Daughter, Leonie, was always greeted by name and was given huge high-fives from Thomas, the pool Manager.

She always felt so encouraged and absolutely looked forward to her swim lessons. Every time she moved up a level Thomas and staff would help celebrate her and she always left her lessons with the biggest smile.

We tried Emler, and while they also have an excellent program, Nitro was a better fit for our needs. Having been an experience Master Swimmer myself, and I grew up in age group, I was impressed with the owner Mike's ability to communicate with the kids and get them to learn how to swim, quickly. Leonie especially loved when he and Thomas were in the water instructing her - they were straightforward and she understood what they wanted

What I loved the most is their safety protocols to confidently teach Leonie how to swim, and be safe in and near water.

My daughter has now graduated to their intro to swim team, and she is thriving. She looks forward to her practices and loves her new coach, Dave. An extra bonus is that all my old swim coaches from Chicago know the Nitro program, and they each were thrilled that we were part of the Nitro team and program now, too.

Let the coaches coach, and enjoy watching your guppy grow!

Love Nitro! All the coaches and staff are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. My 4 yr old is always looking forward to her swim class every week. She has become so confident in the water in just a few weeks. I like how the Stations are structured to include both safety and swimming skills. Also the fact that the pool temperature is warm enough to feel comfortable. Skill progression is easy to track online and they do offer makeup lessons.
Definitely recommend Nitro for anyone who is looking for Swim lessons.

Nitro swim is AMAZING. Highly recommend over Emler and YMCA programming. We have tried all 3.

My 4 year old started in Nitro 1 and was absolutely terrified of swimming and pools, Coach Thomas, and the team of coaches, were/are so gentle, patient, and understanding. The first 4 weeks she started the lesson resisting even going into the pool room, in tears, and by the end of the lesson she was smiling and laughing. Not only has she overcome her fear, but not she is beginning to advance through the stages.

My 11 yr olds started in Nitro 2. They are progressing through the stages nicely, I love how the coaches really make sure that they have mastered each concept of swimming before passing them to the next stage. Nitro, as opposed to other programming, really teaches them the concept and movements as pertaining to competitive swimming. They are now in Summer Rec, learning skills needed for Competition Swimming.

Even though the class sizes seem large, there are multiple coaches and the coaches are skilled at providing individualized attention to students whilst managing the larger group.

So glad we tried Nitro, worth the drive, and the quality of services are well worth the money!

Great swim program for kids. We have tried several swim places over the past 3 years. This one is now my favorite! My kid is 3.5 years old. I like the structure of Nitro. They take swimming serious and you can tell they all know swimming very well. The coaches and staff are focused on the swimmers safety and skills progression.

I highly recommend nitro. They have been very accommodating with all 3 of my children. I have a very hectic schedule from work, to school, to lessons and managing all 3 kids. My son started in Nitro 2 and is now on the swim teach. Their coaches are pretty great in their swim lessons and just as wonderful for their team. It is tough trying to fit 3 kids on the same schedule. I was waitlisted several times and they were able to accommodate me. It’s tough trying to get 2 spots in an evening nitro 1 class and have that coincide with swim teach for my son. They were able to do it and gave me a nice heads up with a phone call. I highly recommend them. I drive 30 minutes each way just to have my kids in Nitro. It’s worth the drive.

The times we have had classes was great. The instructors were all wonderful. But, this location is so poorly run administratively that it makes it tough to get classes and lessons scheduled. That happened from our very first call with getting our daughter into the wrong class, and then in getting people to call us back for additional lessons. How many times do they want customers to call them to set up private lessons?? Are we supposed to beg to be their customer?? It really is silly. They need to start leaning how to treat and respond to customers.

Great experience for my 7-year-old and getting her ready for swim team. The coaches do a terrific job making it fun for the kids and helping them move through the program at their own pace. They even threw in a couple of courtesy private lessons when my daughter's progress had stalled a bit. Nitro has been good at effectively implementing COVID protocols as well, with masks, face shields, spacing, etc.

Every coach has a max of 3 students, the way things are set up work great for us. Management is always on top of situations, they managed Covid with class!
We are doing lots of progress because of the system and we love it!

The instructors are good and my daughter learned the foundation of swimming (4 stars for that), but the operations of this business are poor (less than a star). The lack of communication is terrible. Make sure you read all of the fine print of the agreements (who does?) Because they will use that against you 100%. The guy Ethan at the FD even had the nerve to say "well, according to what I see, you opened the email on XX date..." How many emails do we "open" and then move to the next? And who says that to a customer? They basically have no wiggle room when you miss a class. If life happens and you don't get a chance to call, your child doesn't get a makeup token....but they still charge you!! We would have had a total of 10 makeup tokens but since life happened, they didn't issue them and I paid for over 2 months of classes that they wouldn't honor for makeup. Worst run business. Which is sad for the instructors who do work hard. With Covid, and life, you are better off elsewhere.

This place is awesome!! ❀️ My twin boys first started Nitro when they were toddlers. They began to learn swimming quickly. Then fast forward to now, they are almost 8 and we decided they need to work on technique so they can try out for swim team.

The service we have received at Nitro has been above and beyond! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming upon arrival, they have always been so helpful over the phone with scheduling and changing classes, facility and bathrooms are very clean. Both of my boys at some point have had issues wanting to swim or participate when they have bad days (they are age 3 and 5). A separate swim instructor both times pulled them away and worked with them one-on-one to help them warm up and make swimming fun. This last time it was even the owner! He changed into his shorts and hopped right in to assist my 5 year old. Amazing!! 5 stars all around.

I love this swimming school. My 11 years old took 9 month grew up from a scared-to-touch-water to 4 styles 'master'. I'm honest he is not master yet, but he is able to swim in 4 styles which is far beyond my original expectation. They have on-desk and in-water coaches, they corporate to train students and made them learning faster. The coaches also have experiences to handle the scares of children, motivate them. They have 10 milestones to mark their progresses which is inspiring. Highly recommend this school, especially Bee Cave site.

Nitro is THE place to learn to swim. Both of our sons started at age 4 in the classes, and then progressed onto the Swim Team. The Summer Rec program is the best-kept secret of Austin-- kids who can swim just enough to get across the pool progress to being strong swimmers grounded in all strokes in just a month, because the program is run like the Swim Team (and coached by the USA Team coaches), so all of the kids are actually swimming continuously for 4 hours a week and getting top-notch instruction.

I have found the management to be EXTREMELY responsive to issues when raised. For example, when my son was stuck at a level in Nitro 1 and starting to regress, Coach Mike (the owner of Nitro) personally invited him in for a special (free) private lesson to figure out his problem and help him through it. And unlike what I've heard from my friends who take classes at the Y, Emler, or elsewhere, kids at Nitro really learn to swim: effectively, correctly, and well.

The learn-to-swim classes can feel expensive as you stand and watch your kids (sometimes only 8-10 minutes of practice for $20, if there are 3 kids taking turns with a Nitro 1 teacher), but you can't argue with the results--even my son who was struggling can swim all 4 strokes at age 5, after about 7 months of Nitro lessons, and is starting swim team this fall. The Nitro program is organized, consistent, and it works. They have good quality control, with a deck manager monitoring each student and each class, and tracking how long each kid has been at each level. The coaches provide clear, understandable instruction, break down what they want the kids to do, are consistent, enthusiastic, and positive. Put simply, their system teaches your kid to swim -- it isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. My older son also started in the Nitro classes then joined team at age 5, and now has USA Swimming "Under 10" "B" or "BB" times in every stroke, though he's just turned 8. And once the kids graduate to the "big pool" for Summer Rec and/or the team, it becomes much more cost-effective (because the kids swim in larger groups, so fewer staff are needed per hour).

Nitro has made both of our sons excellent swimmers. And more importantly, both kids LOVE swimming. Through their Nitro experiences, they have learned the value of persistence, practice, and focused effort, and that they can overcome major obstacles if they try. (My son's smile was a mile wide when he finally swam across the pool with ease after weeks of being stuck on a breathing issue.) And Nitro places as much value on character development and healthy attitudes towards facing challenges, personal growth, and good citizenship as they do on producing swimming champions (which they also do effectively). No, not every staff member or coach is perfect, but that's true everywhere. With only one or two exceptions, we have been really pleased with all of our kids' coaches and teachers, and for 5 cumulative years of interaction, that's a pretty impressive record. At Nitro, the norm is exceptional coaching and remarkable dedication. (When I thanked a coach for his patience with my son as he was struggled to keep up with a group in which he was by far the youngest, the coach responded, "I'm just so glad to be able to help out a kid who is trying his best!") Coach Mike (the owner) is passionate about swimming, and passionate about creating a healthy community for young athletes, and his leadership shows.

We drive 30 minutes each way to Nitro 5 days a week. There is a reason why. No, it's not perfect, but here on Earth, it doesn't get much better than this.

I could write a novel on how awesome this place is. The owner takes his business to heart and has a passion to make people great swimmers. My son has been going there for 3+ years and my daughter has been going for 6 months and if I had 10 more kids they would also go to Nitro. The care you get is very personal and you know your kids are in the best hands. The facility is spotless and up to date. The coaching is above any other facility I have been too(I'm a Ex-swimmer, lifeguard, inshore ocean rescue). I cant say enough about Nitro Swimming it is truly a phenomenal establishment.

Thanks to all the staff and to Mike-owner for helping out so much. You all go above and beyond and I cant express my gratitude enough for all you do.

All four of our kids have learned to swim at the Nitro Swim school in Bee Cave. Three of the four have gone all the way through to graduate both Nitro 1 and 2, and the fourth will finish next spring. We couldn't be more pleased with how confident and competent they are in the pool. The fact that they leave Nitro knowing freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly is amazing! Coach Mike and team run an amazing swim program! My daughter started with swim lessons, completing the Nitro 1 & 2 programs to learn the basics. From there she has moved through Technique/Fitness, Bronze, and Silver. What I love about the program most is the positive coaching that helped her develop a love for the sport and pushed her to do better and better without driving her too hard that she lost interest. So much of whether a swimmer sticks with it long term is how much fun they have and that they feel connected to their team and coaches. We moved to Atlanta a year ago and coach Mike recommended another team there that takes a similar approach. Since then our daughter has moved through the Gold group, swimming 4-5 days a week year round and will be in the equivalent of TAGS-2 as an 11 year old this fall. Setting goals and achieving them through her own motivation has been an incredible life experience for her that has spread to other areas like school. Thanks Nitro for giving her such a great start in competitive swimming! I can't say enough about how this sport has had a positive impact on her personal development. Nitro is the best program in Austin, hands down.

The classes are good, but their cancellation/reschedule policy is unacceptable. If you can't make a class, they will reschedule your kids, but the change is permanent. If you want to keep your class, then they just take your money for that week even though you can't attend. For such an expensive school, I expect a much higher level of customer service. Emler Swim School offers make up classes for $5 and they also provide frequent updates on how your child is doing and even have spare goggles if you forget your childs'. I see no reason why Nitro cannot improve their services other than money.

He has all the children giggling and he is the first to jump in the pool fully clothed. The facilities are great. The swim school is excellent. The swim team is competitive without being overwhelming. Every one from the front desk to the coaches is cognizant that they are teaching children. They get it.
