Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience at Nova Gymnastics. We recently moved to the area, so I googled gymnastics gyms in Cedar Hill. The first one I saw was this one, and I noticed that they were offering week-long Summer Camps. I did some research and decided to sign my 6-year-old daughter up to check it out. We were very excited! We stopped by the gym a week before to check it out in person. Our first impression was a good one. The young lady at the front desk was very welcoming and kind. She answered all our questions and allowed us to take a look at the classes in progress. This made us feel comfortable, and we couldn’t wait for camp! When camp began, the rest of the young ladies working (coaches, I'm assuming) did not carry the same enthusiasm as the first young lady we encountered. They did not greet us with a smile, or some did not greet us at all. This was pretty common all week, before and after camp. On the first day of camp, my daughter came home mentioning that one of the girls in camp was being bullied. She explained to me that she and another girl tried to encourage her and tell her that God and her family loved her and not to be sad. I didn’t think too much into it because I understand that kids are kids, but I also told my daughter to let me know if it happens again. The week went on, and she didn’t say anything else about that situation, so I left it alone, BUT on the last day of camp, she came home with bruises all over her right arm. Before I noticed, she brought it up herself and told me not to get mad, but that they were playing a pinching game at camp. She explained that the girl who started the game was a 9-year-old girl and was the one who had pinched her arm, even breaking through some of her skin, leaving her a scab. Because they closed early on Fridays, I immediately called on Monday. I explained to the young lady who answered the phone what happened and that I was concerned about the lack of supervision because this should not have been allowed to happen to the extent of leaving bruises, and also no communication with the parents. She said she would speak to the owner and have him call me back. Kyle, the owner, never called back, so I followed up again 2 or 3 days later myself. He was the one who answered the phone. I explained to him what happened, and he seems very kind, attentive, and understanding. He explained that he is a parent himself and that it isn’t acceptable, that he would talk with the coaches, get the details, and follow up with me on the incident. Well, unfortunately, that never happened. I never received a call back. This was about 2 weeks ago now. If you are looking for a gymnastics class, the classes looked very structured, productive, and fun (but there is a glass window where many parents are watching). I DO NOT recommend camps, or other events like Parents Night Out, where there seems to be a lack of supervision and proper training for these kinds of less organized events. I would also say poor management, which inevitably trickles down and affects everyone involved.

This review is long, but detailed—because we waited until we could truly share our experience after a full year at Nova Gymnastics.
Our daughter has been attending Nova for over a year, and we can confidently say it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made. She’s worked with many coaches and the owner, and every interaction has been positive. The coaches truly care about each child and create an environment that’s both structured and fun.
The facility is always spotless—easily one of the cleanest gyms we’ve ever visited. Everything from the equipment to the bathrooms is well-maintained, which gives us peace of mind.
Nova’s pricing is fair and transparent. There are no surprise charges, and the billing process is clearly communicated. I love the auto pay reminders. We always feel informed and confident in what we’re paying for.
One thing that makes Nova stand out is their fun and flexible programming. Our daughter has loved participating in camps, Parent’s Night Out, and Friday Fun Day. The prices are reasonable (too cheap actually), and it’s a great way for her to enjoy gymnastics outside of her regular classes.
We’ve had great experiences with all the coaches, but Coach Carter, Coach Asia, Coach Marissa, and Coach Kyle (the owner) deserve a special mention. They are patient, encouraging, and know how to keep high-energy kids like ours focused and challenged. The structure they provide helps our daughter make real progress, but they never forget to make it fun.
The front desk staff, Jasmine and Megan, are just as wonderful. They’re always kind, helpful, and quick to answer questions about scheduling, billing, and policies. They help make the entire experience seamless for parents. I love when they remind us about events in case we miss their emails - it’s so helpful for a busy mom!
The atmosphere at Nova is incredibly warm and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile and by name. Coaches and staff stand at the doors before and after class to welcome families and say goodbye. It really feels like a community.
Our daughter is extremely high-energy and has tried many sports and activities over the years. Nova is the first place she’s truly stuck with and genuinely loves. It’s a perfect fit for her, and she looks forward to every class.
We’ve also taken advantage of private lessons, which have been amazing. The one-on-one attention has helped her build confidence and focus on skills she’s excited to learn.
We’re excited to hear that Nova is working on bringing back their girls’ competition team. Because of our incredible experience so far, we’re happy to stay and wait while they find the perfect coach to lead it. We have complete trust that they’ll build it the right way.
In short, Nova Gymnastics is a special place. The clean facility, thoughtful programming, transparent pricing, skilled coaching, and family-like atmosphere make it stand out. We’re so grateful to be part of the Nova family, and we’d recommend it to anyone looking for a positive, growth-focused gymnastics experience for their child.

My child has been going here since 1 year old. She loves it. The coaches are friendly and supportive and skilled. Through all routines and different equipment they guide the children and when a child learns a new skill they ring a bell which is always a highlight for my kid.

The center staff are amazing! They greet us at the door and address my daughter by name. This is her first gymnastics class (3 months in), and she has improved significantly thus far... which is proof that the trainers are dedicated to the students' success. I called on August 21st to see about canceling my membership for my granddaughter and I was instructed to email them and that they normally require 3 weeks notice. Do I did just that and I was still charged another month
When I inquired they stated that they never received my email. She asked where was sent, was it one word...yes! Cedarville. Going forward, if you offer to honor some ones request, do that!! Secondly, your teachers may be young but teach them to be sensitive to their students. My granddaughter would still be there if she felt welcomed and supported. First impressions matter!!

Please select another gym. The staff is very unprofessional when you request to cancel your membership. The staff gave me clear direction on the process to cancel our membership only to call and get scream at by the managers. They respond they going to take my money off my card even though my kids will not be coming for the following month. This place is a part time babysitter camp. My kids never learn anything, no skills, this was a part time playing event for 45 mins, Please save your money and don't get robbed.

Tonight my daughter had her first experience in a gymnastics classes that resulted in her running out crying due to a undertrained and disrespectful coach. I would not recommend this space for first time students. The young girls working here don’t know how to uplift and assist the students. During this session a student was pushed by the coach, the coach lacked management of the athletes, another child was accused of being dramatic because she was crying, and my daughter was not allowed to go to the restroom and the got and attitude with my child when she asked a second time. Parents are in a separate area from their children so they are unable to monitor what is happening in the room. If you choose this place beware of these issues.

My daughter took classes here. They were awesome. She comes to Summercamp, PNO and Fun Friday she loves it, mind you I'm dropping off she's an older child (8). So I decided to bring my children to open play the website says you can drop off as long as potty trained, but it's not organized. Mind you they still have classes going on and gladly I did not drop them off unattended. The worker kept hollering you can't go here, you can't go there. One person on the trampoline at a time. Active children clearly are not understanding that. They're seeking out fun. They really don't have any interesting equipment. Don't say drop off if parents need to caution their children not to go here or there. I see all the quality workers have left. This place is a joke. I'll drive to Irving Gymnastics facility.

My daughter has been attending Nova for a little over a year now and I am very happy with her progress, her interaction with other children including the friends she has made, and the treatment of staff towards her and myself. From the moment you walk in the door every single staff member smiles and greets you making you feel very welcomed. Coaches who are not even my kid's coach acknowledge her by name which to me is amazing and very important. I will also say I am shocked at certain reviews about the manager Kayla. I have had numerous interactions with her and none of them have been negative. In fact, my very first interaction with Kayla was a discussion over something I did not like with an old coach and Kayla listened and made me feel heard. Coach Erica is amazing with my girl and we love being in her class. Also, Coach Nick is amazing. He was our Coach for only a short while, but he is truly great with the little ones and I loved seeing how good he was with all the kids especially the shy ones who still were not comfortable.

We just had our daughters birthday party here and they were awesome! I think I might have them host my birthday party… They prepped our decorations, served the cake and handed out the gifts too. I was not expecting that. Erica and Carter were the hosts and they were awesome. They played with the kids and helped them with games and all kinds of stuff. HIGHLY recommend hosting your kids birthday there.

Do not waste your money on this company!!! The manager is rude. Her name is Kayla. She was very hostile when she got on the phone. Ive been here 3 months and haven’t learned ONE skill like I was promised. I specifically asked 3 instructors if I would have a bhs by February and they all said yes. Is it now February and they have not taught me one thing!!! And they refuse to give a refund. Very unfair and unprofessional.

Extremely unprofessional manager reached out to me in regards to my child and a refund issue.
Instead of trying to assist in finding a solution between parent and facility she was extremely disrespectful.
Kayla was her name. Really difficult that during these times she couldn't be professional and help out a parent.
When asked to speak with owner she claimed she would pass along information but we all know that won't happen.
She preceeded to tell me I wouldn't treat staff "this way or that way" mind you, I've never had an issue with her staff.
She is a manager who has a control issue and clearly does not care about the children that work so hard to practice gymnastics there.
She continuously hung up the phone and then refused to do her job and get me in contact with the people above her. Very distasteful and disturbing.
Kayla, your job cannot be this difficult. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.
God knows what you may be going through.
A simple "let me see what I can do for you" would've sufficed.

Your money would be better spent purchasing a trampoline. There's no plan, structure or adequate communication on how your child is progressing through the program.

An incident occurred on July 16th, 2021 during Fun Friday hours, which involved my 3 year old child. My child was left unattended with no staff supervision around and was standing outside of Nova Gymnastics where other parents and their children were coming in and out of. No staff members noticed my child was standing out there for a duration of time without her parents. In fact another parent noticed how long my child had been out in front of Nova with no parent guardian and brought her back inside where she had a conversation with her. I arrived at Nova Gymnastics at 9:00pm where I saw my child standing behind the front desk talking with that parent. The other parent pulled me aside and informed me about what had happened. I then went to speak with the manager Mia who was just sitting behind the counter. I explained my concerns and frustrations to her regarding what took place and what could've ended badly for my family. All she said was "I understand" no sincere apology was made on her behalf. Her demeanor was dull and it made me feel as if my child did not matter to her nor the company. I asked her moving forward what adjustments on her part will she be doing to make sure this does not happen again to not only my child ,but any other child who attends Nova Gymnastics. Her response was "That's out of my jurisdiction, I'm just the manager here and any changes will have to be brought up with the owner". She also informed me that as long as she's been working with Nova Gymnastics, the same protocols have been in place and have always worked so this incident was their first one, and that they have security cameras in case anything was to ever happen. Once again her response and lack of concern made me feel that neither her or Nova Gymnastics cares about my child's well being and what my family had just experienced. I left Nova Gymnastics with unsettling feelings and fear about the safety of my 3 year old child. This matter is no longer a conversation I want to have with the manager of Nova Gymnastics, it is a conversation I insist on having with the owner or corporate.

We had a bad experience the first time my daughter came in. We arrived early and told the woman in the counter that it's the first day and first time for my daughter to be in the class , so we needed guidance. She got my daughter's name and looked in the computer. She then said to look for a cubby to put her things. She called a man to let my daughter get inside the gym. A few minutes later, she called my daughter and got her out of the gym. She then told me that it wasn't time for my daughter to come in. She said it in a way as if she was blaming us for the confusion! What a horrible service! She should be educated on how to treat customers well. My daughter was so shocked! She checked the computer when we came in and should have known what time my daughter was supposed to get in! Don't blame your customers. She also didn't ask what time my daughter's class was. In the first place, we asked for her guidance and said it was my child's first time.
