Lovely gym. Went here junior year for a bit until working and school ended up being a bit too conflicting schedule wise as well as costs. I loved the warmups though and would recommend this gym to anyone since it is a smaller gym and the owners are very kind. I will be joining another gym since they have women's only classes two times out of the week which makes more sense for me but I appreciate this gym especially for their warm up routine! So glad I got to learn the joy of jumprope instead of unsafe jogging outdoors alone haha. I prefer 15 minutes of jumprope before any workout since then and will implement again for sure haha~ thank you for existing ~

Best Muay Thai gym I’ve been to! You can see how much the coaches love the sport and that love pours out in their training. The class is suitable for all levels while constantly being challenging. I couldn’t recommend a better place to become a better fighter.

I’ve been going to Ohana to train in Muay Thai since July 2021 and it’s been such a great journey so far. Everyone I train alongside with is very welcoming and willing to help each other out. Coach Mona and JR as well as substitute coaches with Mark and Adrian have been very helpful in guiding and pushing me to improve on my technique and skill level. Starting out was a bit rough at first but now I’ve grown to love this sport and I am now in the best physical shape of my life!

Phenomenal gym, was training there for a year and anyone who’s looking to learn the art of Muay Thai , trust me you’d be in very good hands.

Mona, the head instructor, is super experienced and has trained fighters for decades now.

Jake is an excellent coacher and trainer, very friendly and makes you feel like you belong.

Mark and the other coaches are amazing too, they’ll push you and make sure your technique is crisp!

Love this gym overall, 5/5 the environment the people the fighters all make it an excellent gym to not only train and fight, but also get an excellent work out in

I am so glad my friend introduced to me to this gym 2 years ago, so far it has completely changed my life for the better, the coaches are very helpful and taught me every day after class for a number of hours, they teach because they love the sport and are very knowledgeable about it. Since then me and my little brother have been going every day and I have enjoyed every part of it, they spend a lot of time teaching beginners and everyone at the gyms would be eager to help you as well. It’s a great community and a judgement free zone I cannot recommend a better gym from the bottom of my heart.

I recently past my 1 year mark at Ohana Warrior, and I couldn’t have been happier with my journey so far. Whether you’re just starting out with martial arts or have prior training, Ohana will definitely give you a Muay Thai experience. I often stress and get anxiety pretty easily, but Ohana has been my greatest outlet to really relief me of that. Ohana also helps me stay fit, keeps me sharp, and boosts my self-confidence overall. My biggest takeaways from this gym have been:
- Fast paced/high intensity (CARDIO)
- Sense of community, everyone’s so friendly

Membership also includes BJJ classes from competition level coaches on top of Muay Thai (no additional/separate membership needed), just an incredible value overall. I’ve met some great friends through Ohana, and I’m excited to see how the gym evolves over time

It's a disgrace this place has less than 50 reviews and they have been open for over 9 years! This is a great Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu gym. There are ZERO egos in this gym. Let me repeat that. THIS GYM HAS NO EGOS. This is so important in a Martial Arts gym as you don't have to worry about someone having animosity toward you for whatever reason and then they purposely try to break your arm or something.

Everyone is respectful of one another, but they will still push you to get better. The BJJ coaches Jeff and Sean are very patient in explaining the nuances of different techniques and as a bonus are funny too. They are also very humble and will let some students show different techniques if they have extensive judo or wrestling backgrounds.

The Muay Thai coaches: Mona, Jake, JR, Mark, Eris, JuJu, and Adrian are also extremely knowledgeable and will push you to get better. If any of the coaches spot you doing something wrong they will come over and guide you.

All in all this is a great gym for all people. There are professional fighters in this gym, but based on how they carry themselves and how humble they are you'd never guess they were. If you are looking to learn self-defense, become a professional fighter, or just meet new interesting people as you get in the best shape of your life you would be doing yourself a disservice if you joined any other gym besides Ohana.

I have been training there since 2019, I started off doing the Muay Thai and quickly learned how out of shape I was, I did have a very long back ground in taekwondo. I met Jeff the BJJ coach at Muay Thai class and asked him a few question. I showed up the following Thursday and really found out how out of shape I really was; and fell in love with BJJ. The coaches; Jeff and Sean, make jiu jitsu fun and entertaining and they will get the best out of you without you even realizing that is what they are doing. From all the coaches and all the students make you feel like you are at home with your family. The one biggest thing I can take from Ohana is that there is no crazy ego's or toxic personalities, I have seen that before at other gyms. I have been around a couple of other BJJ gyms, this is the most welcoming one I have ever stepped foot in. Every Friday my daughters ask me "are we going to the gym!", like I said this is my second home. Stop in one day and it might just change your life, it did mine.

I joined Ohana Warrior in January of 2022 to practice jiu jitsu. I was nervous at first because I was intimidated by the sport itself however, the coaches and fellow students are welcoming, patient, and so knowledgeable. Coach Jeff and Coach Sean have fostered such a great and empowering culture. This place easily became my second home. What started off as a interest has now evolved into a passion and it’s all because of this gym, the coaches, and the people!

I am currently going to Ohana Warrior to learn BJJ. I am about a month in, and am really loving the program. The coaches and fellow students are very patient, understanding, and eager to teach you. I originally decided to join BJJ to get into shape, but now getting into shape is a byproduct of learning BJJ. Happy to be a part of the Ohana and looking forward to growing with everyone in the class. Mahalo Nui Loa Everyone!

I've been coming here for a little over 2 and a half years. I consider the gym my second home; the people are great, they challenge and encourage you to achieve higher. I train so I can defend those I love and I definitely feel that if worst came to worst I would be able to defend myself against an attack because the gym has helped give me confidence to be able to stand up for myself. For the years that I've been coming, I've watched all types of people come and enjoy the class and learn from it, so I can definitely say that Ohana Warriors is for anyone who's wanting to try it out and okay with sweating;)

Came to the gym 6/11/20 approx. 7:15 to get info and was completely ignored. After standing there for about 5 minutes, someone knocked on the door. A guy, that I would later find out was the instructor for the class, asked me if someone was knocking at the door. He walked past me to get the door, ignoring me. On his way back, I asked if he was the instructor, he said yes while walking past me again without breaking stride. Never once welcoming me or asking if he could be of assistance.

This Gym is fantastic place!!! They do a wonderful job with all ages. My kiddo loves being at the gym. She would move in if she could. Her confidence has skyrocketed. Her love for herself has blossomed. Her ability to be self reliant is outstanding. They are so kind and supportive of bella and her dream. You have all pushed and encouraged her. They have helped bella be her personal best in the gym and out of the gym. . She is not the same little girl she started out as a few months ago. She is very confident. She feels unpowered! The entire staff and ppl all have become such marvelous role models for her. I am so very blessed to have found this gym.

Some parents might be concerned about the aggressiveness of the sport. This has helped bella. She even told a kid at school punching is for the ring not the classroom!

The company name says it all, Ohana! This gym and all the coaches have welcomed us with open arms just like family would! Coach Mona, JR, Mark and Adrienne are phenomenal!

My wife and I recently moved back into the area and were looking for a true Muay Thai Gym where my son can learn the art as well as gain discipline that he can carry along with him as he trains. Ohana does that and more! We haven’t seen our son so motivated to reach various goals on a personal level but furthermore goals to continue to grow and make the coaches proud!

I recommend if you want a good workout, with good trainers (true Muay Thai techniques 🀫)and great clean atmosphere, give Ohana a shot. The investment is worth it!!

Probably the best Muay Thai in Dallas, definitely worth it even if it's a little out of your way. Mona and her crew are passionate and very knowledgeable, and they've created a wonderful culture where everyone works as a team. Nobody has a big ego, and every time I go I feel very much supported by my teammates and my coaches. It's gritty, old school Muay Thai that's good for anyone, and it's definitely a gym I plan on belonging to for a long time. These guys are top shelf!

Jiu Jitsu is right. Muay Thai is tight.
If you train all day n' night you's ready to fight.
My time there was dope, and the trainers are cool.
You will be tired, panting, making sweat pools.
Don't come slacking, rather train to the max
Wins you'll be racking, blood splattered on the mat.
Classes are crowded, some days they're not
But when you come to class, give it all you got

Mona is cool, rough, and tuff
JR is big, buff, and knows his stuff.
They're the dynamic duo and they'll show you the ropes
Hard work is key, they don't wanna hear you mope

Tye Davis; the man goes hard
Give him 3 seconds and you're in an armbar
Brown belt; certified bad azz
His class is awesome, has his own pizzazz

If you ready to learn and got some calories to burn.
Get ready to strap on your gloves and wrap up your fists
Cuz Ohana WARRIOR IS THE SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE

Muay Thai review:
I was here for a while. The Muay Thai class is the most popular, but you're only going to learn the very basics. When you come to the Muay Thai class, it's the same thing everytime. 10 minutes of jump rope warm-ups (great for footwork and balance) but after a while you just kinda skip it (if you want to. My goals were different, cardio was not my issue) After that it's either 10 minutes of shadow boxing (punching air) or you start the day's class. This could anything from being conditioning (multiple punches, multiple kicks, footwork through agility ladders, footwork through fun interactive team games, pad work where you work on jabs and punches... Etc).
The reason why I give this place a 3/5 stars is the importance they have on safety. The place is very friendly and family oriented but because of this they shrug off injuries like "It's cool it'll heal". The coach is a sweet heart but also a bipolar hard ass. She'll motivate you, but take your time, she can't tell when you have an injury; only you will. The average person will love this but for the person who has an interest in actually training in the martial arts the learning experience is 5/10 . Because the classes are so big, you won't be able to have a lot of one on one work like you do in jiu jitsu. Want to lose weight? Great, this place is for you. You won't learn advanced Muay Thai techniques here (or I've never been taught them). No flying knees, no major sweeps, no emphasis on elbows, nothing fancy.

Summary: come if you wanna lose weight, increase your cardio health and endurance, learn the basics and make tons of other motivated people who have multiple stories. The people you meet are great.

Jiu-jitsu review: Tye Davis is THE MAN. What a phenomenal teacher and person. He is a brown belt that knows his stuff. For him, I give him 5 stars. There is MAJOR emphasis on safety. This class is smaller and has less days of the week, but they are my favorite. If you consider coming just for him, it's totally worth it. Great to talk to, has a great head on his shoulders, he is an educated man that will teach you how to defend against bullies and is hillarious. Learning experience 9/10.
Negatives: you might roll with stinky sweaty people, but get over it lol.

I love Ohana! I have been training muay thai here for the past 4 years. Mona is great; she knows how to talk to you and help you deal with emotional stuff so that you can use it to become a better fighter. Because she takes the time to know you, she knows how much to push you. We train extremely hard, which pays off with winning medals and belts! We always perform very well in competition and sparring events, due to our difficult (yet fun) training. Mona makes sure that our muay thai skills are solid through repetition, but in a variety of fun and different ways each time. Fundamentals are the basis to any true martial artist, and we take form very seriously. A fighter with solid strikes and great form is more exciting to watch than someone who thinks they're a UFC fighter coming in with sloppy spinning back fists and flying knees after training 6 months. However, we learn all techniques, with people training at all levels. If you love muay thai, the intricacies of training are exciting each time you show up to class!

JR, Jake, and everyone else at the gym are great too. They have helped me in and out of the gym with everything from pet sitting when we have competitions, to marketing. Ohana is the best Muay Thai gym around!

No whinings allowed. Leave your ego/showing-off mentalities out of this gym and you'll get a warm welcoming atmosphere. No one will make fun of you whether you're new to muay thai or out of shape. Everyone will encourage you to try your best. You won't feel intimidated in this gym because everyone is a family member to one another.
If you think studying Muay Thai to show off in a public place, this gym isn't recommended because they keep it humble and family oriented. Must show up to class to be able to spar or you must prove your worth to be able to fight-the instructors are more than welcome to train you to be a real fighter; not a show-off nor doing it for fame. You train with The Ohana gym for the love of martial arts, not for money nor fame.
First day is free so you're more than welcome to try it out.
