Absolutely love taking Melissa’s class! She has the best themes for all her special classes! You can tell she puts a lot of her time and money on planning a fun class for the members there! I drive an extra 45 mins just to take her class. She is great at encouraging me to go harder! Wish there was a 90 min every Saturday again. Thank you for always motivating me and always going above and beyond. You guys rock!

Being part of Orangetheory has been an amazing journey. The workouts strike the perfect balance between challenge and flexibility, and the supportive, professional staff makes every session worthwhile. I especially want to recognize Coach Dani for her expertise and enthusiasm—she brings an incredible energy that pushes everyone to do their best. The positive environment and commitment from the entire team make Orangetheory more than just a workout; it’s a community that truly motivates and inspires. Thank you for making every class such a great experience!

As a person that used to have extreme gym phobia, I was always afraid of being judged at regular gyms. I didn’t know what to do but I really wanted to better my health. After having a baby I joined orange theory to get my body back. All I can say is it’s worth every penny. I actually prioritize working out and thoroughly enjoy it! It’s such a great, non- judgmental community for everyone at any level of fitness. The coaches are wonderful. (I mostly take John and Brooklyn’s classes but also enjoy Kyler, Dani, and Jonnie!) They always correct my form and push me when they know I can do more. It feels very personalized for a group setting. And I see results! I already am back to my old figure but better and stronger. So glad I joined :)

I absolutely love this OTF studio! I’ve been an OTF member for years and have been to many studios in Texas and California, and the customer service at Arbor Town Square is second to none. Five stars all the way! Kyler is the best, and the team of coaches at this studio is superb! Coach Jonnie motivated me to complete my first dri-tri this year and I’ve hit many PRs at this studio. Thanks for being so great, OTFATS!

I did not have the opportunity to work out, I only walked in for information.
I believe it's crucial to offer constructive criticism when necessary, particularly regarding the appearance and demeanor of frontline staff. Recently, during a visit to Orange Theory, I encountered a disappointing experience at the very first point of contact—the greeter.
Upon entering the establishment, the individual assigned as the greeter/front desk appeared disheveled and unkempt, giving off an impression of neglect in personal hygiene. Their disheveled appearance, coupled with an apparent lack of grooming, detracted from the overall professionalism of the establishment.
First impressions matter significantly in the service industry, and the greeter serves as the initial representation of the establishment's brand and values. Therefore, it's imperative that individuals in such roles present themselves in a neat, clean, and professional manner. This includes ensuring personal hygiene standards are met, such as showering regularly and maintaining a tidy appearance.
The lack of attention to personal grooming not only reflects poorly on the individual but also reflects negatively on the establishment as a whole. Customers may perceive a lack of care and attention to detail, which can erode trust and deter repeat business.
In offering constructive criticism, it's essential for establishments to prioritize staff training and provide guidance on maintaining professional appearances. This includes regular reminders of dress codes and grooming standards, as well as access to facilities for personal hygiene upkeep during working hours.
Overall, while constructive criticism may be uncomfortable to deliver, it serves as a valuable tool for improvement. By addressing issues such as the appearance of frontline staff, establishments can enhance their brand image, foster positive customer experiences, and ultimately drive business success.

This is a visiting studio for me and I just want to say one of the best run studio’s I have seen. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming every time I visit . The coach I had for the 10:00 class was excellent. The studio is always clean and equipment is operational. The biggest plus is I can always count on a challenging workout … exactly what I pay for .

I've tried many gyms, but something about this place makes me actually come and work out.
I'm not even sure why, it's expensive so that might be it, but an expensive gym that i actually go to is better than a cheap gym i don't go to.
Kaitlyn is the best! So i definitely love coming to catch up with her!
And 6 months later still going every day I'm off, so something is working. I'm much stronger and feel way healthier!

As a data freak and someone who loves keeping track of my fitness, I love I can track everything about my workout at this OTF location. From average pace, maximum speed, watts on the rower, this gym has the technology to do just that. I love I can track even how much percentage of body fat I have lost/gain quarterly by using the inbody machine.
The coaches, the music, the workouts, challenges, the community are amazing and is always fun! You all. This is my Disney World! I can’t recommend OTF enough!

I recently had a very bad experience at this gym. About a month back, I showed up for my 5:30 pm workout 8 minutes late (5:38 pm). I get out of work at 5:00 pm and fight through traffic hour to make my class, but on this day, it was raining pretty bad and traffic conditions were worse than normal. Anyway, I arrive late and the class, which is usually pretty full, was near empty. I go to the counter to select my rower/treadmill, and Kyler, the assistant manager of the studio, informs me that I will not be able to take the class due to being over the 5 minute mark. I tell him I'm sorry for my tardiness and try to explain the traffic conditions, but he informs me that this rule is in place to protect my safety and he cannot let me in. I respect rules, so even though it was a little bit of an inconvenience, I accept his offer to put me in the next class and "not charge me a cancellation fee" for the 5:30 class (he said this as if he were doing me a favor).
I'm about to go to my car to wait for the next hour and fifteen minutes, when another member walks in holding a birthday gift. I head to the bathroom real quick as she approaches the counter. When I come out, I see her leaving and another staff member is next to Kyler. She asks Kyler why he didn't let the member who brought the gift into the class and he responds saying, "I couldn't because I had just told another lady she couldn't come in because she was late." He said nothing about the 5 minute rule.
I still didn't say anything, even though at this point I did feel slighted. Fast forward to yesterday evening, 9/29/2022. I was in my 5:30 pm class on the treadmill. 15 minutes into the class, a girl walks in. I see her approach the counter which is being attended by Kyler. She chooses her treadmill and (again, this is FIFTEEN minutes into class) she walks into the gym area and gets on her treadmill.
I'm sorry, but this is too much for me. I approach Kyler and ask him about the 5 minute rule. I ask him why he gets to choose who has to follow it and who doesn't? I ask him if it's his personal decision? He says she apologized to him, so he let her in. I reminded him I too apologized and explained my situation, but in my case, that didn't seem to matter. He says he's sorry, and that was it.
I do not think this type of behavior is acceptable, and I don't know what was wrong with me that made Kyler decide that I couldn't be allowed in even after I explained my struggle to get there; but, this other girl who arrives 15 minutes late is happily accepted in? I feel insulted and like I did something wrong to be reprimanded when someone else was able to just waltz in so much later than me.
Kyler was extremely rude to me. Keeping up with my OrangeTheory membership dues is hard enough for me. But I do it because I care about my health - both mental and physical. Kyler has negatively affected the former and I feel his behavior towards me should be addressed.

I love orange theory, but I highly do NOT recommend the this location (Arbor Town Sq), only because there is something super odd going on. This location can't seem to keep a single coach, besides the head coach Kassidy. Every week, there seems to be 2-3 totally new coaches from different studios subbing in, or sometimes a new coach will start at this location and then leave 2-3 weeks after starting! Smells fishy and it might be just terrible management treating the coaches super poorly since they can't seem to keep more than one coach. Also, none of the reasoning for why coaches keep constantly leaving is ever communicated to any of the members. All we're told is "Ashley is leaving to work at a different studio!", but as members we would all love some transparency on what is going on, staffing wise. I feel incredibly disconnected from all of the coaches because it is likely I will only see them once or a few times and they will disappear. The Studio Manager even left a few months ago, and even the SA's are being replaced constantly! So weird. I would choose pretty much any other location. We would love some transparency!

This studio is my home away from home. Thanks to Orangetheory, especially Kelsi (studio manager) and the coaches here, I am healthier, stronger, thinner, and most importantly, happier than I have been in 15 years. This location has stellar communication and always answers calls, texts, and emails same day. The staff are always willing to help no matter the situation.
Orangetheory's method makes working out fun. I am a trained dancer, who has been injured for a long time. They have helped me to get to a place and I am finally back in the studio.
I had always thought I hated traditional exercise, but the music, coach energy, and the workouts make me enjoy the experience. I love that I don't have to try to figure out what to do each day, how many reps, when to ramp up and when to slow down. I especially love the tracking system, watching your heartrate to know when to push and when to pull back is a gift. Its also exciting to watch your calorie burn through out the class. The coaches also provide modified options for each exercise more or less intense and/or to accommodate for injuries.
If you have worked out your whole life, or never set foot in a gym, Orangetheory is a wonderful place to reach your personal goals. No one judges you and people of all levels workout together and support each other. It is a perfect place to unplug and have time for introspection, one hour just for you.

They will NOT stop with the text messages after many many requests. It's almost like a bad cult they just won't leave me alone. The "trainers" are not knowledgeable, they rarely correct form, probably predisposing people to serious injury. This is not for someone who knows what they're doing and definitely not for someone new to working out. I'm really not a fan of Gigi because she won't stop texting me and I feel like this is very unprofessional.

I've been attending this studio since mid 2018. It's a very spacious studio (similar to Sunset Valley's I think), especially in the weight room. The only downside is that coaches and front desk employees seem to come-and-go frequently. On the plus side, so far the coaches have always been friendly and open minded. The 5am crew is always fun to workout with. I'll continue to attend as long as I can.

tl;dr: Orange Theory wrongfully charged my credit card for two months of membership despite repeated assurance that my membership was frozen.
The full story: My membership to Orange Theory was automatically frozen on March 16, 2020 due to Covid-19. On May 18, I requested via email that I would like to extend my membership freeze indefinitely, and they confirmed, via email (Anthony Santo, the senior studio manager), that they would continue a freeze on my account for three months, and that we would revisit my membership at the end of those three months. I did not have to fill out paperwork to continue my membership freeze.
On July 28, 2020, I got a call from Orange Theory with a special offer to return to the studio with free classes to see how they were handling problems with the coronavirus. I declined, and told them I would like to continue my freeze indefinitely, likely well into 2021. They verbally told me they understood my decision, and would continue my freeze until I said otherwise. I specifically asked whether I would be billed in the interim, and they said no. No cancellation paperwork was mentioned.
In late-October, I was reviewing my credit card statements and found that I had been billed my monthly membership on October 4, and September 4 ($99 each month). Immediately, I called the branch to request a refund. They let me know that because they had no paperwork supporting my indefinite membership freeze, the refund request would have to be sent to the CEO. In the meantime, I signed an Orange Theory-provided e-document to affirm my membership cancellation.
On November 4, I got a call from someone at Orange Theory letting me know that the CEO (Dave Long) had declined my request for a refund, citing the lack of paperwork supporting my request, despite the fact that I was not given paperwork, nor would I have any way to know that paperwork was necessary since my previous membership freeze was approved via a conversational email.
I filed a complaint with the BBB, to which OT hasn't yet replied one month later. I still have not received a refund.
I hate to post something like this, never have before, and I know that this is not the branch employees' faults so much as that of a really rotten corporate structure that over-expanded itself at the exact wrong time. And the truth is, I really liked OT exercises pre-pandemic, and I know they must be hurting, and that they have tons of employees who depend on their branches remaining open, but at the end of the day my sympathies fall apart when a faceless corporation straight up steals $200 from me while I was unemployed.
Anyone still reading, just get a Peloton membership for the same monthly price instead.

I'm so disappointed with this franchise. I have not used the gym since March because of COVID-19, yet I was still charged for a month when I went to cancel. It was cited that this is because there's a 30-day cancellation clause in the original contract. This is terrible customer service. That contract was before a global pandemic changed everything about the way we live.
I will not renew with Orange Theory after everything passes given the way they are flippantly acting like I'm cancelling just to cancel, and not because of extremely extenuating circumstances. The fact that they also just extended freezes due to COVID yet will still penalize for cancellations is another thing that points to really poor customer service.
So if you want to belong to a gym that will treat you in accordance with what's going on in the world, don't join this one.

I have never done an orangetheory class. I showed up 15 minutes before the class started and was turned away because I wasn't there 30 minutes before the class. I arrived at 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning. The attendants were busy socializing with members. I stood there for a few minutes at the front desk before they even greeted me. When they found out I had never been to an orangetheory class they told me I could come back later in the day. They wasted my time!!!!!!!! I am not happy.

Club is clean, well kept and everyone is so nice. Instructors leads 15-30 people for 60 minutes classes. There are 2 different stations: the Treadmills/rowers (cardio) and the Weight Room. Halfway through the class you switch stations. Instructors always are enthusiastic, engaging and well prepared.
Disadvantages: 1) Cancelation policy -> I had to cancel 3 months after joining because of relocation reasons. I was wonder to learn that I had to give notice 30 days prior to my next dues date. In other words, I had to pay for 1 month for nothing. 2) Stations are very closely located in weight floor and it difficult to agree shared space with your neighbors.

Visited this OTF from out of town and they were very accommodating to get me into a class. The coach I had for both days, J2, was fun and attentive. I have been a member of OTF Arbor Town Square since November 2017 and, to be completely honest, have never, EVER, stuck with a workout routine for this long. I was the queen of quitting all the things after I lost interest - running, yoga, Pilates, etc. Orangetheory has the magic sauce to keep flighty folks like me fully engaged. I even have to pre-book my class, which, for this commitment phobe, has been life changing. The staff and coaches at Arbor Town Square are top notch and always there to encourage me to push harder, help with modifications (shout out to Coach Morgan) and inspire me to try my very best every single class. The vibe of the ATS studio is inviting and fun, and I’ve made life long friends from people I’ve met through classes at this studio. 350 classes later and I think it’s safe to say I’m committed!!

It’s very dissatisfying that you wake up at 4:30 am because you couldn’t schedule in any class before 10:00 am. Then you with desire of work out scheduled yourself in the class for 5:10 am show up at 5:07 and they just said... The class is FULL someone in waitlist got your spot?!!!! Really? Even worst the work our room does not look full. We do not pay $30 dollars here. The classes are very limited and then they do not respect your spot. I sadly will never come back to this studio and at least you are in a monthly schedule and with a very flexible schedule I will NOT recommend this type of gym.

OTF at ATS is my go-to studio for the Austin Area. The studio manager Anthony is beyond helpful and is always equipped with a joke or witty comment to make you smile. The coaches here are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, personable, and know how to smoothly run transitions/blocks in class. (That last one might seem weird BUT trust that if you go to a class where it’s not smooth… you will know) Plus, the coach’s playlists (Josh 'J2', Mary, Nikki, Morgan) are HOT FIRE FLAMES Y’ALL! Nothing can get you through a 60-minute workout like great beats and smooth transitions.

I am 57 and love the dynamics of the classes. They are never presented the same way twice and you get a full HIIT experience that burns calories and challenges you.
Yeah, I can't row as fast as the younger ones, and I Power Walk rather than run, but the coaches make all the pain worth the gain. They CARE and that means a lot.
Finally - the electronics connection (Heart Rate Monitor, Calorie Burn) provides instant feedback to how you are doing at your age, weight and fitness level. This science is what keeps me going to beat my last goals!
Try it - It may turn out to be the best workout format you've ever tried.

My experience with OrangeTheory from booking my first class to the end of my workout was amazing. The customer service and welcoming environment by the staff was incredible. I first got a text the day of my scheduled class by a staff personnel asking if I had any questions and that I was to come in 30 minutes early to visit with the Manager before my class. They set up a profile for me where they asked questions like, "How often do you work out?" or "What are your main goals and what are barriers that are keeping you from reaching your goals." The Manager, Anthony, was super personable and explained the mission of OrangeTheory and how their method for working out is successful for weight loss or any type of goal you are trying to reach. All of the staff and Coaches were welcoming and introduced themselves. The coach herself took me personally to the workout room to explain the workout we were going to do and how to use all of the equipment before the class began. The workout started with warming up on the equipment we would be using. The workout consisted of cardio and weight training as we moved to different sections of the gym. I love this!! I love variety in my workout cause I know that will trigger fat loss. As our workout concluded, the Coach ended on an amazing note as we were stretching by giving us a pep talk and motivating us with great words of appreciation. After stretching the Coach, Mary took the time to explain my results based on my heart rate monitor and what everything meant. She then escorted me to the front desk back to the Manager where I totally signed up for a membership. Hands-down the best workout and experience!!

There are many choices when it comes to working out but not often are you lucky enough to also have a "community" adopt you in and want nothing more then for you to succeed. Here it is "family" that encourages growth, strength and endurance to accomplish any goals mentally or physically you may want to achieve. The staff goes beyond out of their way to make sure you don't "want" but "need" to sign up for the unlimited package just so you can see them too! The coaches create a perfect atmosphere where you can focus on you or enjoy with a friend (only time to chat though is BEFORE or AFTER since you gotta get your splats, haha). Highly suggest joining and really will become a lifestyle change once you finish your 1st FREE class!!!

Never thought I’d join OTF (thought I was too old/out of shape) or love it as much as I do, but after 10 months here (and years of trying other gyms/workouts), I can honestly say I’ve found what works for me! First, the staff - they are as welcoming and as encouraging a group as I’ve ever met. They know your name and make you feel part of the ATS Crew from the start. Most places I’ve been ignore you if you don’t fit a certain mold - but not here :). Next, the workouts - always challenging and Coach- led. I don’t have to think about what to do next, just focus and get it done. Related to that, the program - the combination of signing up for classes and a fee if you late cancel, keeps me on track and at class. And all the benchmarks are great if you like to challenge yourself and see your progress. Finally, I like being able to workout in other studios when I’m traveling. It’s easy to book a class anywhere and keep up your routine. Bottom line - best studio for a great program!

I have been going to this studio at The Arbor for over 4 years, since it's inception. These guys are wonderfully inspiring and make me feel so good about myself before, during and especially AFTER I have finished a class.THANK YOU!!!
A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to Josh who I think has been there the longest. Morgan is great too. Also, Justin, who is no longer there but used to be head trainer deserves attention. Oh yeh, and Eli but he moved to another studio. All of the trainers do a great job to work with me as an individual. Don't get me started on my shoulder surgery (as a result of being OLD!)...they give me special attention so I feel comfortable modifying. No one should ever give up just because they have some limitation.
I STILL get an amazing work-out every time I go, even if I cannot do every single thing at full tilt.
I'd like to note there are others I've had as trainers over the years but it's hard to remember everyone. Also, I know there are plenty that I haven't tried that are good. I just find favorites and tend to stick with those.

Don't fool yourself, you are going to hate it some days, but I think that's expected, it means you are doing it right. The coaches are really helpful and they will push you to do your best, you just need to convince yourself you can do it, and trust me, you can.

UPDATE APRIL 2019:
This Orangetheory location has some great coaches, and the new treadmills have been upgraded (early 2019) to include the individual displays that make it much easier to see your statistics (heart rate zone, interval distance, cumulative distance, etc.) if you're wearing the compatible heart rate monitor. The rowers are also all new as of early 2019, and thankfully they're now secured in place for proper spacing and to keep them from drifting with heavy rowing. My only complaint about this location is that the weight room is pretty crowded with 15 stations. A couple years ago there were only 12 stations, but the move to 15 stations made things a bit tight in there. Most members are pretty good at being respectful and coordinating space needs with their neighbors, and everyone is very friendly. This location is now also (as of early April 2019) using treadmill/rower/floor cards, which is good because it reduces the crowding around the door and politely rushing to your preferred starting spot. Grab a card when you sign in. Overall, this Orangetheory offers a great gym environment and ALWAYS A GREAT WORKOUT! It does seem like the workouts have been more varied lately in the weight room. It hasn't felt like "leg/butt day" as disproportionately in the last couple months. My main advice is to CHALLENGE yourself with the weights you select to make the most of the limited weight room time, and if you want more weight room time... take 2G classes instead of 3G classes.
UPDATE JAN 2019:
I've lost quite a bit of weight since joining in JULY 2018, and I came in 3rd in the weight loss challenge last fall. However, I do have some suggestions for Orangetheory in general. The workout is always great, but I do feel like almost every time I attend it's some kind of "leg/butt day." As a male trying to build his upper body as well, I've had to supplement my OTF membership with another gym membership and some personal training sessions. I go to OTF ATS 3x/week, so it would be really helpful if I could know in advance what the plan is going to be for the week... which days will be leg-focused, chest-focused, back/shoulders-focused, etc. With the current OTF scheme of keeping things a secret from their members, it's hard for members to really achieve specific goals for their body. PLEASE consider providing some kind of general overview calendar that gives either a 1-week or 2-week look-ahead at body parts that will be targeted so that those of us who are past the "I just want to lose some pounds" phase can stay engaged and motivated. I love OTF, but I've started to wonder if it has an expiration date for me. Also, please provide a greater quantity of clinics on specific types of exercises/activities. I found the rowing clinic very helpful, but there should be more of them for rowing and also for things like training for a 5K, and weight lifting form when trying to go heavier with weights for muscle gains. I have spoken to other members who say they'd like to use heavier weights, but in the fast-paced environment of the classes, they are afraid to try heavier weights because the coaches have so much going on that they can't possibly give enough guidance to everyone at the same time. If there were form clinics for weight lifting, the absence of the simultaneous treadmill/rower use and loud music would allow coaches to teach people how to properly lift heavier to achieve their physique goals without hurting themselves.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The workout here is always great, but I prefer the TV (splat board) placement in some other locations. In this location, it's very difficult when on the treadmills to look at either TV to see your stats (at least for me) without risking losing your balance because you have to look so far to either side. I understand that there are equipment upgrades in the works that will address this issue, but it's still an issue for me as of this writing (Jan 2019). Try coaches Josh “J2”, Chandra, or Rene... my favorites at this location.

The staff at OTF at their Arbor Town location was great. No complaints. I went for a month and enjoyed every class but unfortunately found the schedule for the classes I wanted didn't line up with my work schedule and needed to cancel. Heads up....if you go in to cancel then cancel. Their practice is to recommend freezing the account instead of canceling and they are very good at their job. We all want to be healthy and we want to attend classes but if you know it isn't for you or won't fit your schdule then take it from me... cancel do not freeze. It will end up costing you even more. As with everything.... read the fine print. The dates of a freeze and cancellation determines whether there will be one or two more charges to your credit card. I should have paid closer attention to reviews regarding their billing methods. Happy with the classes but very disappointed they didn't do what was best for the client.

This is the worst OTF studio I have ever visited or been apart of in the Austin/San Antonio/ Houston areas. There seems to always be something wrong with the upkeep of the studio... either the heart rate monitor screens don't work, the ac doesn't work, the restrooms are unclean, and the staff at the desk can be hit or miss. They don't seem to give fair treatment to all of the members. They started this bingo card incentive for August and they told me a couple weeks ago they had ran out... then when I went in and they finally gave me one they wouldn't give me credit for the previous workouts I had done. How is that suppose to motivate anyone?
Along with that they are way behind on member engagement. Other studios are really active on social media platforms - they have groups created on FB, members posts on IG and they actively recognize the milestones of their members and this studio is apparently just now starting to do that but they don't spread the word to anyone. You have to dig to find out any info.
The only thing I can say is the coaches are awesome and the workout program works which is why I continue going... I must say for all the competition this studio is going to get/ currently getting with the new OTF's being built in the Austin area I would definitely try harder to keep members engaged. You can find an OTF traveling for 10 minutes in any direction. For the membership fee I pay I expect a higher level of service.

I love OTF and have been a member for over a year. However, I recently had to freeze my account for several months as I was not able to workout during that time. Meanwhile I got a new credit card following a security breach. I unfroze my account on 8/5/18 and was told I owed a $15 payment for both June and July. This seemed fair. Today I looked at my bank statement and OTF Arbor Town charged me $179 on 8/5/18 and $179 on 8/6/18 without my knowing or consent. I'm really hoping this can be adjusted, as I was told the last time I was in the studio that my account was frozen until 8/5/18 and that I owed a total of $30. Don't trust them with your credit card information.... they will charge you hundreds of dollars without you knowing and without your consent.
