Hi,
I’ve been trying to get help canceling my membership, but I haven’t received any response yet. Could someone please assist me? I need to cancel my membership as soon as possible, and it has been very frustrating not being able to reach anyone.

Please return my email at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

I registered in this location 2 months ago and when I got the location, I asked about cancellation and the front desk lady told me no commitment, no charge that I could cancel at any time. Upon calling them that I would like to cancel my membership that I couldn’t continue, the lady i spoke with told me they were going to charge me extra one month. Mind you, I asked all these questions before signing up.

I went on the app using the app help support to request a cancellation and my mind told me to call the location to follow up on the cancellation, Lo and Behold, I was told they didn’t receive any email or cancellation request and I said I didn’t it through the app. No one told me I needed to call the location directly to cancel, which is okay if that’s the process. It just so unprofessional that I was lied to that I could cancel at any time.

I’ve not used any of my credit which is not a problem, cancelling is my choice but I was lied to when I came in to sign up. Definitely would advise people to ask all the necessary question and If possible have them put it to writing or take a picture of who attends to you just for days like this.

Very sad of how unsupportive the manager and corporate office were with me. I went only 1 day and had to pay $300.00. I talked to them and asked if they could help me because i was going thru a financial problem and i coukd not go anymore and they said they could not. Money money money. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. The trainers were good and helpful.

Not recommend at all. Very limited number of class I just arrived 5 min late and they did not let me get in to class. Despite the fact that I explained that I will start warm up with my own pace and it’s just 5 min. Even I can just start with strength and then get to the treadmills if you are worrying about the safety!!!!The front desk not understanding it at all. And they just keep repeating one sentence several times.

I went to this orange theory awhile back, and the staff and instructor was nice. During the session I realized I left my water bottle in my bag which was in their lockers. I told the instructor I wanted to grab it quickly. The instructor INSISTED to get me a water bottle despite me saying I have my own. The very next day I get a call saying that I needed to pay for the water bottle that they gave me even though I NEVER asked for it. I literally had my own. 💀 never going there again.

Honestly, it is good, works. But intense. I could see how I would start losing discipline. Maybe if done once a week, for sure! But more than that it is just very quick and intense. Breaks were not clear.

This was one of the best workouts I've been apart. Kaitlin taught a class on endurance and strength, and her energy and direction caused for a really good workout burning 500+ calories in less than a hour. This was my first class but surely not my last.

I had bad experience today. I was traveling to attend a meeting, stayed at a nearby hotel and try to maintain my exercises. Registered the 6:15AM class, I was not familiar yet with the morning traffic here though my hotel is just 5 mins away. That’s my bad but I managed to arrive and just parked my car at 6:20AM. Received a text saying I was late (I know I am late, i am aware of the policy) and was charged for a late fee (but since this is not my home studio they don’t have my card info so failed to charge and my account is locked). I called immediately and was kept being told by the rep it is policy I could not enter the class. I explained my situation and said I was already here. The rep insisted I could not enter class. Worse, she care more about asking my credit card info for the late payment.

So just wanted to be clear, I see all good comments about coaches, atmosphere here. This review is just for a bad operation I thought that could be resolved better.

In my home studio, I am sometimes stuck in traffic, late for 6-7 mins but my studio manager and reps are still happy to welcome me (of course I know this is my home studio). If I ever late for 10 mins or so, I respect the policy and just turn back. They don’t send the late charge until the class is over. I feel like if I try to enter they may still help but I just want to reaped the rule.

In some other away studio I visited, instead of charging me for late, they are still able to help to cancel it. They do not allow me to enter the class, but you’ll see the difference.

I know all and all Orange theory is a franchise model, and studios are owned by different owner. That’s why I really like to have this review so the owner can learn from good example of others.

We are all busy with stressful work and want to have good time exercising and finding back our own good health. It’s not necessary an experience of strict rule.

Hope it helps!

Orange Theory is a great workout - perfect way to combine cardio and weight lifting. Everyone from the coaches to the front desk staff are amazing! Even though it’s group fitness the coaches do a great job of giving you individualized feedback throughout the workout. Best 60 minutes of my day!

I have been a member of OTF since 2017 and LOVE that I can attend classes everywhere I travel for work and leisure. Workouts are nice bc I get my cardio, some weight training and a stretch in an hr. Protocol is usually the same, ID, credit card and signing liability waiver. Had a bit of a stressful morning and OTF is usually a good release. This was my first time at this studio. Handed my ID and CC was asked to take a picture, but I didn’t want to. Finished the work out, the coach was great, all good vibes. Had an appointment so left before finishing the stretch. As I’m leaving the class a brunette female team member that was not there when I arrived aggressively addressed me and stated if I did not take a picture I would be blocked from ALL OTF’s. I didn’t have time to argue and responded I was not taking a picture and that I doubt I would be blocked for not doing so especially being a longtime member. The last thing I want is to be harassed and it was enough for me to never want to return there again while in Houston.

Very nice, new, lots of bathrooms and showers, clean, and lockers provided to secure your items!! I have been at OT for over 6 years now and recently transferred to this location. I love the accountability, hourly classes that are available for anyone’s schedule, and many fun fitness challenges to keep you motivated. Heart monitor is a great option to track your progress if you don’t like iwatch.

Brand new studio, very clean and spacious. Great staff too! The head coach, Elizabeth, is regularly at the studio even when she is not teaching a class and many of the other coaches take other's classes which makes for a very close community.

Friendly trainers but super limited class availability. Not worth it.

They sell trackers with a guarantee that if your tracker breaks, they would exchange it for a new tracker. When mine experienced issues shortly after purchase and failed to accurately track my heartbeat, I took it to them for exchange and their response was that they could not assist me because I drank coffee before working out and therefore the tracker wasn’t measuring my HB accurately. Like what….?

Management failures- they double charged me for some months and only when I mentioned it, they made the correction. They made several mistakes like charging me incorrectly for the membership fee, and not sending me documentations on time. Seeing Orange Theory mess all over my bank account and having to call them to make corrections was a huge stress added to being a member of this gym. Also, they do not fully disclose with you all details.

When you cancel your account, they charge you a full amount one more month and you need to let them know in advance a certain number of days before the billing cycle about freezing your account or terminating your account. It’s a whole process. I had to freeze and terminate my account due to traveling and relocation. I asked to have my account freeze then have the final bill for a full membership and terminate it. That was the end of the conversation. But when my freeze was over, instead of having my account terminated, I received a voice message from the manager asking me to ask questions and go through it one more time. Instead of terminating my account, they decided to continue charging me full membership fees because I did not answer their voice message, stating that the termination was cancelled. They also stated that it was a different manager from another orange theory who was filling in the day and had the termination conversation with me, so they were not responsible for the information that was not fully disclosed to me.

Do what you can with this information, but signing up for the membership here was a total mistake and stress.

This place felt like a total scam/trap and thieves, I’ve never been to a gym that was more poorly managed and dogmatically argued their ways out to keep charging you while doing everything they can to not deliver their promises and blame it on their customers. A huge red flag. They will only be kind to you if you are willing to keep paying them membership fees for life and never ask for customer service.

The staff is so kind! Everyone makes you feel so welcomed. Jordyn is especially nice and always greets you by name as soon as you walk in. My favorite coach is Ciandra. Not only does she have the best playlist but she is very helpful and motivating. I could not run to save my life when I first joined and her specialty classes have build my endurance significantly and allowed me to become a runner. Work outs are intense but the more you go the better you get at keeping up!

The staff members/ trainers are very nice and they really work with you. Classes are a little intense on the first try but I promise you it's worth it. My only suggestion is to keep at it and try to attend every week.

I've been doing OTF for several months now and ever since the Med Center location opened, I've been coming here non-stop. The front desk is always helpful. The manager, Kayla, has helped me out with my account on several occasions. And most importantly the coaches, especially Coach Leila and Giovanni, are so motivating, play great music and make the 60 minutes go by super fast. 10/10 recommend this studio!
