I faced significant challenges with management at Orange Theory Energy Corridor. The Studio Manager and Regional Manager were close friends, creating a conflict of interest that made it difficult for my concerns about studio maintenance to be taken seriously and limited opportunities for growth.
The Studio Manager also showed favoritism toward male members, resulting in uneven client experiences. New members often lacked support, leading many to cancel within two to three months or stop attending after only a few workouts. This directly impacted retention and overall performance.
The Assistant Manager contributed to an uncomfortable environment by sharing confidential information, which undermined trust and fairness within the team. The Head Coach, though enthusiastic, struggled with attentiveness during sales, often talking excessively and causing potential members to lose interest rather than closing efficiently. These issues created obstacles to meeting sales goals.
At the start of my role, I was overworked, which made it difficult to enjoy the employee membership perk of attending classes. The workload left little time or energy to benefit from this offering. Compensation was modest compared to expectations, and advancement opportunities were unclear. While the role helped me strengthen organizational and communication skills, long-term career stability was lacking.
Overall, Orange Theory Energy Corridor provides entry-level experience in customer service and fitness, but management conflicts, favoritism, sales challenges, lack of work-life balance, and limited growth opportunities make it less ideal for those seeking a stable career path. With restructuring and new leadership, I believe this location could thrive.

Free weights, heavier weights, TRX, weighted balls and mats to support your limitations or goals. Showers and lockers available. Coffee shop and bank next door is a nice bonus.

I love Orangetheory Fitness Energy Corridor. The studio is clean, the staff is welcoming and the coaches are fantastic. Each class is only an hour long covering treads, water rowers and strength floor. I am an older woman who needs some modifications. Never a problem. This is my happy place!

Orange Theory has completely transformed my fitness routine! The combination of high-energy workouts, motivating coaches, and a supportive community keeps me coming back for more. Each session is a perfect blend of cardio and strength training, and I love that the workouts are always different, so I never get bored. The heart rate monitor really helps me push myself to new limits and track my progress over time. The atmosphere is always positive, the staff is incredible, specially Carlos, and the coaches know just how to keep you motivated, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete. If you're looking for a place that will challenge you and deliver results, Orange Theory is the place to be!

Have been coming here for my OTF workouts for the last 3 years now. The instructors (Shawn, Cesar, Nicholas, Gigi) are friendly and encouraging. Appreciate them taking the time to know and talk to us. The staff in the front is always super friendly and accommodating. My elderly mother (very much a walker) joined me for classes for 2 months and all the instructors took time and provided alternate exercise options for her. She was nervous about going but really appreciated the support.

The front desk staff are all very friendly and nice, especially Carlos. He always greets members with a smile and positive vibes.
All the coaches are great. Shawn is the best head coach, he gives equal and special attention to all members, corrects everyone's exercise mistakes in the class as much as possible and always motivates members to keep continuing.
I am sure this place will change many people's lifestyles. As it changed my lifestyle for the better.

I am a current member here and as much as I like the workout there are many things I can not stand and if the workout wasn't so good I would not stay. One they make you pay an additional $119 for a heart monitor. Two, if you miss your class they charge you $12 in which seems excessive, not to mention I booked a class on the wrong day and the guy at the desk kept calling me sweetheart and refused to refund me my $12. 3 They have major construction on their street and they won't let you in 5 mins after the workout begins. So I came in 6 mins late and he wouldn't let me which seems SUPER NECESSARY or just someone who takes his job way too seriously. I can honestly say I can not stand this place. But the workout is good so I stay.

Great staff upfront and classes with coaches Cesar and Marci are great! I signed up for a monthly package after doing two free trial sessions (2 trials were the July offer), and have really enjoyed all the workouts so far! The coaches really help with how to improve rowing form, and the treadmills at OTF are much better on the joints than regular treadmills. Rowing and jogging on the treadmills are the highlights of OTF sessions for me, and the floor sections are also mostly challenging in a good way.
Class packages are priced decently, although there is a start up cost of ~$120 for an OTF heart rate monitor (even if you already have another tracker like the Apple Watch).
I’ve had some issues booking classes with the OTF app and the staff was happy to help me book over the phone.

Its been a pretty disappointing experience in the way they claim they offer a "free trial" class but actually charge for it even though I didn't attend. Seems quite shady at best.
When I spoke who I think was the manager named Brandon, he outright lied claiming he told me about the charge on call when he did not and neither did anyone from his team.
Looking at a few other reviews, it seems pretty common. They might offer the standard templated response to this and other reviews but it is definitely hard to trust them.

I am a new inquirer of Orange Theory. Less than two weeks ago I saw that they were doing one week of free classes so I tried to sign up but I saw that they needed credit card info so I wanted to think it over first and I closed out of the sign up. I was then bombarded with calls and emails about coming back to finish sign up for about a week straight after. I answered the first call and let them know that I’ll sign back when I had time but that didn’t stop the calls. When I had the time, I signed up for the 6 am class. I wanted to do twice a day one in morning and one after work but it wouldn’t let me book. I tried to call with no answer but I just found out that they weren’t open at the time I called, so that’s not on them. I didn’t receive any confirmation email after I booked my class so I just showed up without anything other than my phone and keys. I walked up to a locked door, I’m assuming due to covid but the guy appeared to take his time coming to open the door. He checked my temperature without letting me know he was going to do that but he welcomed me in very warmly. He asked me to sit on the bench and when I proceeded to do that the manager said no please wait in your car since I’m new. I was like ummm okay... 🤔 then the guy who welcomed me in said something about him being on the phone with IT to fix something. Class starts at 6am but I noticed something about coming early so I was there about 5:40 latest. When I was walking to my car I asked if I needed to bring anything cuz I don’t bring anything with me but my phone to workout and he said he will verify. I said okay and I waited in the car. At 5:48 he came out and said that because I didn’t bring my Id and credit card that we would need to reschedule... I told him I only live five minutes away and I could go get it and he still said no. After being blown up by them to come to this place I was told to go home... I told them I’m not coming back and to please cancel. I just find it interesting that the manager explicitly told me to wait in my car because he wasn’t ready for me but in that time I was waiting politely in my car I was then told to go home. It seemed to me as if they didn’t want me to join in the class for whatever reason because I’m not sure why it took that long to verify if I needed to bring anything with me. He also told me that they send out emails but I didn’t get any confirmation or instructions after I booked. (I double checked after I left) this is my first and last experience at this place.

I was invited to a free trial class March 1 evening 6:20pm as offered by the office lady Monday morning, when I got there at 6:10 pm the office lady there said I was late ?? (NO I was not but did not argue) and then if I gave her payment information she could set me up for next day same class. So I did that and was all set. I go back the next day at 6:15 after sending documents with health info etc online only to be rudely refused again for the free trial by the office on March 2 saying unless they can take my payment they cannot allow me to try the FREE class!!! so what in the name of earth is a free trial that OTF is advertising this month of MARCH? Isn't the trial class supposed to let a potential customer decide if it suits their style or not? Is payment a priority for trial? if yes do not invite customers to try a free class, it is bad business. You should invite them to sign up for a package and then give them a surprise class free. That's how you do business!!

I scheduled a first-time free class at 6:45 pm. I get there at 6:30 pm and they actually did not let me in and asked me to re-schedule because I had to be there at 6:25 pm to meet with the coach and go over paperwork. I’m like for 5 minutes? I was actually 10 mins early but was literally waiting in my car for the previous class to finish. I simply did not want to interrupt the previous class. This is extremely unprofessional and ridiculous. I was actually very excited to join and was ready to sign up during that same evening. However, the way they treated me forced me to look elsewhere. What a waste of time.

I joined OTF Energy Corridor December 2019, and it's been fantastic. I've had memberships to LA Fitness, Lifetime, Bikram Yoga and others in the past, but had never quite gotten "into" a regular routine - Between work and life, and my personal preferences, I'm the type of person who needs accountability, prefers routine (I'm genuinely a creature of habit), and really enjoys the cadence (and efficiency!) of a guided workout.
My friend had been a member for a while, and had been trying to convince me to try out a free class with him, but I made the decision to join OTF Energy Corridor, sight unseen, without trying the free class out first (I joined before the Energy Corridor location was officially open). You may think I'm crazy for this, but for me, I knew that if I signed up for the membership, it'd hold me accountable for at least a month. The memberships are also month-to-month, so I figured it would make me give it at least a fair full-month chance. My friend also gave me fair warning - The first 3-5 classes are going to be tough, your muscles will be sore, and because each class is different, it'll be your whole body and you won't "get used to it" (which is a good thing, it also means you won't plateau your progress) - I didn't want to give myself the opportunity/easy-out to give up after one class.
OTF Overview: The workouts are full-body, challenging, HIIT workouts that combine strength and cardio, across treadmills, water-rowing machines, and floor exercises (which include weights and other accessories). Standard classes are 1 hour. The major variables that make OTF a game-changer in the workout arena are the heart rate monitors with app support (which provide live feedback while working out and track your long-term performance), the ability to view schedules and reserve your classes via app, the awesome coaches, and the fact that memberships are reciprocated at all OTF locations.
Energy Corridor Location/Coach Overview: This location is in the heart of the Energy Corridor in a really convenient location to my house. The location, and all the equipment, is new (it opened December 2019). The Front Desk staff is very friendly, helpful, and personable (as other reviewers have mentioned, they remember your name, your preferences, and go out of their way to ensure you have a great workout, every time). All the coaches are awesome, and it really boils down to your style, who you'll find motivates you best - I make it a point to schedule classes with Marci and Natalia (I'm the crazy person who will make it a point to sign up for their classes weeks in advance to make sure I can reserve a spot in their classes, and will also travel to other locations if they're coaching at another studio). Again, all down to your preference because each coach has their own style of coaching, including the way they demo exercises, track time, and their playlists for classes (don't underestimate how much the right music can really help you maximize a workout, especially for pacing on the treadmill).
Overall: Fair warning, your first 3-5 classes you will be sore (you will feel like you may have gotten hit by a bus), but you will see results and you will never get bored. OTF is for you if you're just starting your fitness journey and don't know where to start, if you're already fit/active but want to try something new, or if you're an all out fitness junkie who works out regularly and appreciates the efficiency of a one hour full-body HIIT workout - The heart rate monitors and coaches are what make OTF a completely different workout than similar boutique gyms/classes/studios.
If you're even considering Orangetheory as an option in your pursuit of a healthier/fitter lifestyle - do it!
I'd honestly say I'm glad I went straight for the Unlimited membership option (versus attending the free first class, or the class pack options, or the limited classes per month) - This holds me accountable, is the best value (assuming you're holding yourself accountable to a routine), and forced me to really give it a fair shot...and now I'm hooked.

I absolutely love this gym and Orange Theory. I have been a member for 4 years now. I started with 8 classes a month but it was so addicting I had to increase to an unlimited membership. Orange Theory is great because you get the combination of cardio and strength training in every class. Previously I was going to a cross fit gym but it was not enough cardio for my liking. The coaches are amazing, motivating, (form correcting too!, and keep me coming back for more. The equipment is top notch, the classes are always rotating day by day, and the technology is a fun way to save your workout history and to see your progress and keep track of signature workoutd and benchmarks.
Since spaces are limited in class and require reservations, they are firm in their rules and attendance policies. So...bring a friend, make a friend, come burn and have fun!

Orangetheory energy corridor is a great studio! The staff is ALWAYS friendly, courteous, and above all professional! All the coaches are knowledge and provide guidance in a tactful and prudent manner. Their feedback has helped me get more out of my workouts (e.g., the way I perform an exercise, pacing, tempo, etc.). Coach March in particular, the head coach in the studio, is always attentive to the needs of the members and the cleanliness of the studio. She is AMAZING!
I highly encourage anyone on the fence to give the studio a try. They were never pushy about selling me anything, rather, they were informative and allowed the experience of the workout to speak for itself.

A great place to workout in the Energy Corridor either before or after work. Great trainers, programs, pace, etc.

Me and my husband are new to this club. I find that the front desk staff is not very honest or upfront. Fast sales pitch and deceptive practices. Signed me up and started charging me even though I told them not to do so until after we return from vacation. The manager was also not helpful and basically said that if they did not charge me the rates would have gone up. This may be the case, but they should be upfront about such things - seems like they pulled a fast one and we paid for two memberships while we were not even in the country.

🌈Great staff upfront and the coaches! It feels like you have your own personal trainer-The coaches are teaching everyone but manage to give you that one on one attention-correcting form and encouraging you. It’s a clean facility and the workouts are awesome with the Rowing-strengthening floor-treadmill rotation, the hour zooms by 💪🏻😃

I am leaving a poor review because the guy who answers the phone (I’ve called a couple times with questions) is not very personable and would not make me want to join AT ALL. He just is almost rude. As a business you guys really need to hire people who are good with people. You can’t have non-personable people answering your phones and being the face of your business. It felt like he didn’t have time to answer my questions and he also seemed like I was an inconvenience… Including his rude/annoyed tone. It just isn’t a good feel or look for the face of your location. I will be avoiding this location for sure after joining because I literally wouldn’t even want to have to talk to him for any reason.

Horrible customer service!!!
I went by there in person and called twice to schedule my first session. The girl couldn't find a time or suggest an alternate for a week.
Not sure how do they plan to get anyone enrolled.
Will not return

Been a member of Oranger Theory for almost 3 years. Started in Philadelphia, then Orlando and now couple locations in Houston. This is my third location in Houston. The staff is great and the coaches have been on point. Great motivation and music. I’m glad a location as great as this one has opened up in the energy corridor. Very close to home.

I have family in the Houston area and have been to many of the Orangetheory studios locally. I saw the Energy Corridor studio was close to where I was staying so I booked a class 2 days in advance. I was surprised to receive a phone message the next day demanding my credit card information within 30 minutes of the message or they would cancel my booking. I have been to many Orange Theorys in many states and have never been treated this way at any of them. I hope they rethink this business practice but as far as I'm concerned I will go elsewhere.
