This is a fun golf course to play. The tees, fairways, and greens were in very good condition. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. We played in just over 4 hours on a very busy Friday on a beautiful November day. The fees were reasonable.

I played the OSO Beach Golf Course for the first time in 2006. Have played there many times since then. My round this week on Mon, Oct 13th was enjoyed on the best green conditions I have ever experienced there. Kudos to the superintendent and his/her team. They are great looking and rolling true. I really do love playing Oso. I love the distance from the senior tees, I am not a long driver 200-220 avg and I am able to shoot in the 80s. Only playing for 2 years at 60 years old I hope to move back because I'm driving to long at some point but as of now the layout is a blast for me. Plus it's in really good shape considering this sotx heat and lack of moisture. The guys and gals in the clubhouse are really nice as well.

Came to Corpus Christi to celebrate my best friends bday! The only thing she really wanted was to go golfing (and the beach of course). So once we got to Oso Beach our experience was nothing but extraordinary! The staff, especially Bob, was very welcoming and kind! He was very helpful getting us set up for the course with the rentals. As for the course, it is beautiful (well maintained) and challenging! We can't wait to come back.

Decided to come out to corpus with my girlfriends for my birthday! They don’t play golf but because it’s my special day i brought them out with me to check out this course. I’ve always talked up the sport and from the moment we walked in we were welcomed with kindness and helpful support. Bob made our first time extremely special and I’m grateful he gave my friends an amazing first impression! Course was beautiful and quite challenging. I enjoy playing the course. The course was in excellent shape for a muny. The front nine was open and a good warm up for 8-18 and around the water. The greens rolled well and we’re in good shape some challenging pin placements. I played best ball with my 9 year old son. This was a great deal kids play free with and adult. The marshals was nice and paired us up with another twosome on hole15 as the pace slowed. Excellent experience. Afterwards got burgers in the grill. Thumbs up to the grill staff. I will play here again my next visit to Corpus.

last week i sent in a negative review because we did not see the beer/water cart at all on the back nine. Ruben did reach out to me and left a voicemail.
this last Sunday was much different. Emma was our beer cart girl and we saw her twice on the back nine. the first time she met us i asked if they offered anty non-alcoholic beer. she didn't have any in the cart but on the second visit she said she brought a couple from the club house specifically for me. Kudos!!!!

This was my first time playing at Oso Beach Golf Course, and It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. As soon as I arrived, Joe met me at my car, helped me unload my clubs, and set me up with one of my own. His friendly and profession service made a great first impression. The course was in beautiful condition and green and was easy to navigate. Hole 13 was a memorable challenge but I managed to clear the water on my first shot-definitely a highlight. I’m already looking forward to coming back for another round.

I recently visited this golf course, and while the setting was undeniably picturesque and well-maintained, my experience was unfortunately marred by the unprofessionalism of the staff. The employees were consistently rude and unhelpful, which significantly detracted from what could have been a pleasant day on the greens. It’s a shame because the course itself has a lot of potential, but the poor attitude of the staff made it hard to enjoy. I hope they address these issues, as the beautiful location deserves better service.

Course was in really good shape for a municipal course in South Texas. Price to play was extremely reasonable for the facility. Juniors 18 and under play for free with a paid adult! So my son and I had a fantastic day. Grounds crews should be commended for the work.

Was down there a few weeks ago on Business from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. My only regret was that we did not have time to get all 18 in. Will definitely return the next time in the area and alot more time for the course.

BRING MOSQUITO SPRAY!!!

Came in town from Houston for Memorial Day and wanted to play a round of golf with a buddy and heard about Oso. Everyone in the clubhouse was terrific! We had one of the first tee times of the day so course maintenance crews were on some holes, but they paused their work to allow us to continue play. Overall the course was in great shape, and the greens were amazing. Be warned, the mosquitos are insane, we were swarmed by hundreds the entire front 9, until we went into the clubhouse for some bug spray. Mosquitos aren't the courses fault though, and I would absolutely return.

I played a round at Oso Beach yesterday and other than the wind conditions was very pleased with the overall experience. The staff were professional and very helpful. The course was in excellent shape with very few worn or bare spots which were usually only along cart paths or areas “in the rough” between fairways. Greens were in excellent shape and the fairways were generally in very good shape also. The reason why I’m only rating 4 stars is due to the golf cart and the cart paths. Many of the cart paths were rough or broken (like many streets in Corpus) and our cart made it through the round but very slow. Otherwise, everything else was a fantastic value for the round.

Yesterday afternoon, my game was ruined by three players who displayed the most vulgar lack of consideration for the pace of play. My group, also three, had to wait 3 to 6 minutes at every hole. No one was in front of them, so there was no excuse. Oso Beach is a municipal golf course, but a marshal is needed to move slow players.

I grew up on this golf course in the 70's-80's and it's absolutely in the best shape I've ever seen. Fairways in very good condition, greens will hold your shot, are smooth, and are a good speed, roughs are grassed in (used to be lots of hardpan), and the clubhouse and snackbar are spiffed up. Service was fast and friendly. And when the wind blows, as it does most days, this old style links course can be a decent test of your game that typically requires most every club in your bag.

2 stars just because the course was beautiful. Other than that I wouldn’t recommend. Granite, I haven’t golfed in 10+ years, but I did not feel welcomed at all. my wife, my cousin, his wife & I decided to to spend the weekend in Corpus and golf to celebrate our wedding anniversaries (we share the same weekend for wedding anniversary)

As a novice golfer, or if you’re just coming to enjoy a fun Saturday morning of golf, I hope you all have a better time then we did. I guess you have to be a PGA pro to be welcomed here.

“Ranger” lacked hospitality and proper communication skills, Im all for following rules, if the rules were properly given. Ranger watched us golf and after that we felt “picked on”. He wouldn’t say anything to us, except just watch us in a complete awkward way. After about an hour of him watching us golf, we were told we couldn’t drink alcohol (which we understood; but why wait so long to tell us?) but we weren’t told this when we checked in & they watched us unload a small backpack cooler which we were later told we can’t have the cooler at all.

G.M. Explained the rules to us at hole 15, this is something that the park ranger could’ve done way earlier but again he was very awkward. G.M. Was nice and enforced his rules which I respect, but overall we did not enjoy our Saturday morning round of golf

Side note* we stopped drinking but couldn’t help but notice other golfers drinking their beer, and seeing trash cans with filled beer cans. Again, we felt picked on and wouldn’t go back.

If I could give a negative 10 rating I would. There were so many things wrong about golfing here especially someone who is of color. My family is in the golf course industry and have created some of the biggest named course around the world and golf is apart of me. My boyfriend did not want to do much for his birthday but Golf and go to the beach, so we did. When we came here immediately we were harassed and racially profiled by the course warden. He even went on to make a comment when my bf was ducking from a ball that was heading his way "now you know what it's like to get shot at". I am appalled because it was not right how we were treated. By the way my boyfriend is a doctor that's saving lives everyday and just wanted to enjoy his off day in peace enjoying his favorite activity. (Ps take better care of your course lawn)

I wanted to share a disappointing experience I had recently at Oso golf course. Many of us were practicing on the putting green and chipping green at 4:30 PM on a Saturday when an older employee/cart official came over and removed all the flags from the practice area. It was clear that he was more concerned with his own convenience than with the needs of the golfers practicing.

Instead of allowing us to finish our practice, he pulled the flags and proceeded to walk into the snack bar to watch TV for 30 minutes. It only takes two minutes to pick up the flags, but he couldn't be bothered to let people have their practice time. It's frustrating to see an employee prioritize his own leisure time over the customers.

I hope that this kind of behavior will not be repeated in the future, and that all employees at Oso golf course will support the golfers who come to practice and play. Let's all work together to make the course a better place for everyone!

Great place to play golf. From start to end. Course in good condition. Offered a challenge on every hole but fair for all levels of golfer. Really enjoyed the experience and thanks to the staff team and also the two guys I was paired up with.

This was my first time playing here and it was very enjoyable! I found the course very challenging. It has wide fairways. Several fairways did have standing water from possible broken sprinklers. There are several water hazards that come into play and times seabreeze to consider on club selection. The greens are well manicured with rolling slopes. Pro shop staff are courteous and greet us as a friend not snobby like some other golf courses. Merchandise is reasonably priced and well stocked. The prices to play is very (I'm senior rate $34) reasonable! The por shop coordinate with starter to place you at your tee time. The facilities are very clean well maintained and food service is topnotch. I would give 5* if they repaired sprinklers leaks. I truly enjoyed playing this beautiful course. I recommend. Enjoy;))

I’ve been playing at Oso Beach Golf Course since the early 1980’s and it is in the best shape of its life. The fairways and cut well, the greens roll smooth and true, and even the sand traps play well. I’m so happy to see it in such good shape.

Started playing golf in 1961 at Oso. Whenever I can make it back to Corpus, I try to get in a couple of rounds. This is an excellent layout, and extremely well maintained. Whenever I'm feeling cocky about my game, Oso reminds me of, let's just say, the areas of improvement still needed.

I was I from Tennessee to visit my daughter and her Fiance. Everyone was very accommodating and the course was near perfect. Thanks for the hospitality guys...

Mosquitos were absolutely terrible. On the course, waiting for you in the cart after you hit.
Course was amazing. Greens had some character and were really nice. Gonna be back a few times with some bug spray

Can’t say I’ll ever attempt to go back here. Staff was rude and not helpful. Was not informed of the rules when booking a tee time for friends that came in out of town. I had high hopes for this place but they all got shot down as soon as I walked in the door and saw the way the staff treated another customer. Disappointed.

Wish my first experience here was a good one! Called and booked a tee time over the phone for friends flying in out of town. Got there and was informed everyone had to have their own clubs. Could not find that information anywhere on the website. Then on top of that they had no rentals available…their loss because i will now be taking my golfing experience elsewhere.
