Hidden gem alert — literally hidden! Outwest is tucked behind a plaza on the west side, and once you find it, it feels like you’ve discovered your own local fitness secret. The space is brand new, super clean, and seriously aesthetic — think turf, rowers, skiers, and a layout built for strength and conditioning. It’s got that gritty, hard-work vibe without the gritty gym feel — bright, modern, and surprisingly pretty.
I dropped in for a class (they offer a free trial and $25 drop-ins), and it was such a great experience from start to finish. The owner, John John, was awesome — super welcoming, hands-on, and made sure everyone was moving with good form. The community vibe here is strong; everyone was friendly but focused.
Bonus points for the cute swag, spotless bathroom, and that little juicery next door that completes the whole “West Side wellness” vibe. Definitely a five-star experience — I’ll be back! 💪🏼✨

I’ve been attending this gym for a while now and can honestly say it’s one of the best I’ve ever been to. This was my first time taking the strength and conditioning class, and I absolutely loved it! I’ve been looking for a way to push myself harder, and this class definitely gave me the intensity I needed. I was visiting my parents in El Paso and needed to stay consistent with my workouts—OutWest Strength and Conditioning made that so easy! They were incredibly accommodating with two free trial classes and a convenient drop-in rate for my final workout of the week. Jon Jon was super helpful and motivating; he gave me great tips to improve my strict press form. The studio itself is spacious and filled with all the equipment you need to stay strong regardless your level of fitness.
What made it even more special was the location. Back when I was a middle schooler at Morehead, this spot was a Swensen’s, and I never would’ve imagined that one day I’d be doing strict presses in that same space! The full-circle moment was real. The members reminded me exactly why I miss El Paso—welcoming, friendly, and genuinely supportive. If you're looking for a place that brings strong workouts and strong community vibes, this is it!

Excellent strength and conditioning gym on El Paso's Westside. The facility is clean, organized and spacious. There are plenty of rowers, erg bikes, skiers, etc. 12 spot squat rack with plenty of weight. The owner Jon Jon, has thoughtful put together this incredible space. Jon Jon has coached me for over 10 years and his programming is the best. I have never been stronger or had a better engine with other programs. Coach Jon Jon is an experienced coach with a deep understanding of human mechanics while also fostering a welcoming, community environment. I would 100% recommend this gym.

Jon Jon is an excellent coach. He is highly detail-oriented, provides clear explanations, and offers consistent support throughout the process. I was initially scared about trying a new gym, but his approach made me feel completely comfortable (still working on the confidence).
