I’ve always had great!! Experience, the facility needs a few classes added like Pilates, kicks boxing classes with early morning workouts
Due to some members work evenings shift’s
And open pool hours posted so members could use the pool throughout the day
Unsure if heated pools are available.

I am a senior citizen and I have never learned how to swim. They are giving me lessons and hopefully I will feel more comfortable in the water and be able to swim for my no impact exercise.

Wow, wow and wow! This location is amazing. The front desk always welcoming and everything is always nice and clean. The indoor pool is beautiful and I see they have classes and swim team practice. They have a nice open space with lots of windows, there’s even tables and chairs for parents to wait. There’s two group exercise rooms and the classes offered here are amazing. They offer all the weights and most machines. The place is new so currently classes aren’t too full which is so nice for a beginner like me (getting back into the swing of working out). The classes I’ve taken the instructors are sooo nice and patient with everyone. Ms. Tamila for sculpt and core - so nice and provides instructions for everyone. Ms. Bee for yoga is great and her class was transformative . Ms. Robbie’s class was amazing and a great challenge for me. I HIGHLY recommend this location AND classes. They currently offer child watch from 5p-8pm limited hours but so helpful for parents. If your already a member come and join a class or workout here and if your not definitely try this Y.

I have three children and they were all YMCA kids. The Park South YMCA has been my greatest and most memorable experience. The primary school is amazing, the daily fitness classes are very helpful and compliment my busy life. The instructors really push you! The staff, just priceless💜 they care about each individual that walks through the door. More importantly, they care about the South Dallas Queen City community!!!!

Stunning branch with a lot of amenities (pool, basketball court, locker rooms, work space, playground, outside court, child watch, and group exercise classes). The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable as well! Very excited to see what additional member events and programs they'll add!

Thank you to the YMCA for providing such a safe, clean, and supportive space for kids. The gym is always spotless, and the staff truly cares. Special shoutout to Noah and Princess for their energy and kindness, and to teen counselors Montana and Mike for looking after my son and making him feel welcome and valued. You’ve all helped create a nurturing environment where kids can grow, have fun, and feel at home. We’re so thankful to be part of this amazing community!

The new updated gym is beautiful! Lots of updated equipment. The cardio options aren’t as vast as other locations but there’s enough treadmills to use. Place for burpees and stretching. Lots of body weights and machines. They have a squat rack and hack machine that I love. Lockers to keep your stuff safe and secure. Outdoor playground and very nice pool to do laps in, or lounge in, when it’s open.
Basketball court is nice. I love the new ymca.

**NEW BUILDING OPEN 06/16/25**

The new building opened today and it is beautiful. The new building is equipped with a cardio section, free weights, indoor pool, seating area, classes, daycare, basketball ball court, showers, and all new equipment. Very exciting to have a third place for our community, which is frequently underfunded and overlooked. It appears the contractors are wrapping that last few things but the Y is open to get a good workout in. Highly recommend visiting our new Y!

The front desk people are so amazing! Very friendly staff! The water aerobics instructor was hard to sallow in the beginning she came across very abrasive and nonchalant also a little rude then to add insult to injury she was late starting the class, she apologized ! For newcomers she should be a little more patient I think, after it was over we had a somewhat of a introduction. It was a really wired way to start off with it being my first time there.

I hosted a blood drive on April 13th thru the Red Cross. We had to start a little late but the finish was amazing. We collected 22 units of blood that day. Each pint saves 3 lives plus I was able to educate people on sickle cell awareness. My nonprofit Butterflies Second Chance can't wait to work with the staff again. The supervisor James was one of the first people to kick it off and donated! We truly appreciate you being one of the first to donate and set the tone. I can't wait to talk with you and start teaching more about sickle cell anemia. You guys are definitely part of the family now. 🥰

I like going to a gym being that I was back in my community but the last time I went I was told to wear longer shorts(because a Christian woman didn’t like my shorts mind you she doesn’t work there) now mind you I am a thicker girl so i already watch what I wear I’m already judged because I am a thicker girl and this is a gym I wanted to give my money back to the community but now I have to go back to planet fitness it really be your own plp and it sucks because always being a thicker girl I always had to watch what I wear and to be told in the gym that I needed to wear longer shorts because of one person who doesn’t work there felt uncomfortable like ma’am now I feel uncomfortable it’s always the older women who judge us I’m working out not trying to catch none of the men in their it took me a while to gain the courage to even get back in the gym

I stopped in here while traveling across texas, to get some swim laps in. Carolyn greeted me at the front desk and answered all of the questions. She gave me a tour of the facility. She was amazing. The facility is kept in great condition. The staff was very kind and helpful in every way. I felt like part of the family as soon as I walked in the door. If you’re in this area I highly recommend visiting this YMCA.

I had a knee replacement last year and I was looking for a water aerobics class. I love Park South. Jenna is fabulous for the evening class. The YMCA staff is super friendly and very helpful. I feel sooooo good. I hoping they remodel and update the ladies locker room soon.

Went to go buy a bus today from the Dallas Regoinal YMCA Financial Director, Jay Pecovish. I called him yesterday and set up an appointment for 12pm and I was to be the first to see it. I live over an hr away, which he knows since I have informed him, and don't answer the phone when I drive and I received a call from an unknown number. I called while getting some gas to have a message from Mr. Pecovish telling me he had sold the bus to someone else who wanted to pay more. I texted him asking"....do I not get a chance to counteroffer as well and is this how the YMCA does business?" He didn't respond.

They are beating children in their Pre-K program. The director and the corporate office are aware of it and covers it up. Please send your children elsewhere. The Rodriguez woman has no respect for herself, her career, the company she represents, or the 100 children in her care. Their program should be shut down for eternity. It's a shame that black children are always the most disposable when it comes to making money.

I love this YMCA, my kids have been going here for over 7 years and they have learned a lot and helped a lot of people (community service). The counselors/mentors are amazing. To me it's more than a workout facility, it's family.
