Really good workout area and excellent yoga classes. The aquatics area is well-maintained . The heated (82-85F) indoor pool(approx 28m) is great for swimming laps( has backstroke flags). I do wish the pool were a bit longer, but it’s ok for laps if you’re not in competition, water temp 28-30C probably a little warm for competitive, but it feels good to me. The pool is also clean. The one thing I really LIKE about Peak, is being able to swim anytime I get the urge.

Staff appears too busy to provide customer service. They don't offer State of Texas employees discount. They don't offer Veterans discount, only active duty. Glad to know my service is no longer appreciated. Would not allow me to add a grandchild that I'm a legal guardian for. Never offered to give a tour. I guess since choices are limited for a 24 hour gym, they don't care to provide customer service.

It has potential to be a 5-star gym however they close at arbitrary times, even though they claim to be a 24/7 facility. For instance, not only are they closed Easter Sunday, but they closed the SATURDAY before Easter Sunday at 1pm. So what’s the point of 24/7?

My son pays a lot for his membership here. He has only been going for 2 weeks. Never anyone at the desk!! And has stuff stolen 2 different times. First his work shoes and the 2nd $140. His stuff is thrown all around the locker room. So beware!! They need security. They have a thief that wears an 11.5 men’s shoe!!!

Great gym - awesome equipment, clean and organized. I train with Duane for endurance and explosive power. I have specialized training for my sport, and Duane came up with a comprehensive plan. They have every piece of equipment you need and the space to train what you want. Best gym around. Check it out, it's worth the trip.

Great gym. It’s clean and spacious. I love that you can purchase day passes and they’re open 24/7. They have yoga and other classes that are included in the membership fee, which is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Was going in for my 3rd day pass to see if I wanted to commit to a membership when I met the boyscout of the staff. Previous 2 visits I was given a Military discount for my day pass, which I loved and thought was excellent customer service not to mention good critical thinking skills for pleasing a potential member. Then I meet Carlos, who does everything to the letter apparently. He wanted me to fill out a form with all my contact information (I hate marketing) and wouldn't budge on the already high day pass rate. Well, good for you Sir, rules are rules. Definitely killed my mood, but didn't take it personally. If you're a fan of very ridged rules and employees not having room for independent thought to enhance the customer experience then this is your place. It just seems silly to lose a membership for 12 or 24 months or for longer because of a $5 difference in a day pass.

Great gym, but for the amount they charge monthly, I would love to see them invest in a new sauna. Don't think it was working when I visited this morning. Turned on the timer, and it never got above 100°F.

Best Gym in town. It has more space then most gyms. The owners keep up with maintenance and they constantly update repair or provide new machinery. If there's anything you need they got it. THE ONLY THING that could make this gym the best in the Hill Country is a court.

My entire family (three generations) have been members at Peak Fitness since its opening. I’m a lifelong athlete (since pre-adolescence, as an example, when I bicycled from West University to Bolivar Peninsula on New Year’s Day the winter after Hurricane Carla). I’m a lifelong gym rat. But didn’t take to Peak Fitness upon first opening, using a lovely alternate gym resource.
BUT my family forced my hand and gave me a membership for Christmas. I now deeply regret my stubborn streak - I should have joined long ago. The facility is SUPERB - well-maintained equipment, plenty of space for private reveries during workouts, delightful staff, unmatched pool cleanliness - an utter joy to be a member! I’ve used many gyms in many five-star hotels/resorts - Peak Fitness matches the “best of the best.”
Better late than never - glad my family made me join (although their ulterior motive was for grandmother to swim with the grandson preschoolers).

This gym is absolutely AMAZING... they have all the equipment I need and more! They offer an entire area dedicated to CrossFit lifting, area for Boxing, area for classes, treadmills and of course, free weights and barbells! Their pool is huge and sauna was always in working order.

So far as CrossFit is concerned: I don't need to drop in here to tell you that their listed drop-in rate is ABSURD. Some of the best staffed, best outfitted boxes in the country don't charge a daring $30 for a drop-in. For that price, I would expect to have my CrossFit class coached by a top-ten Games athlete or at the very least an L3. And maybe those things are true, but there is no information available on their webpage about the caliber of coaching one can expect to receive for a whopping $30 a class, besides mention of the owner's L1. Given the trainer's qualifications, this is likely a great strength and conditioning facility, but if you're seeking CrossFit, I might look elsewhere. The risk here isn't worth it, and I urge others to look elsewhere before paying this much. I will be skipping it on my trip.

Very large gym...and even when busy there is still plenty of equipment to use. With my workout routine I use treadmills, bikes, ball weights and mats for floor exercises like Pilates for my core then off to pool for water weights and end with sauna...perfect workout. Just wish they were open till 11pm or midnight or even 24hr...Sorry I'm a night owl and a workout can help with insomnia. Highly recommend
