The Penberthy Rec Sports Complex is the Rec Sports departmentβs outdoor field facility. Located at the corner of George Bush Dr. and Penberthy Blvd., Penberthy has artificial turf and natural grass playing areas available for drop-in recreation, intramural sports, sport clubs, and special events.

Lots of well maintained playing space with both artificial turf and grass. Rec area provides shade.
If you're attending a big event with charged parking, be prepared to queue to access a lot.

No concessions on-site for an all day lacrosse tourney seems odd. We brought plenty of snacks but wrongly assumed concessions would be available. The grass turf is quality.

Nice grass and turf fields with plenty of parking. There are small metal bleachers and plenty of room on the sideline.
There wasn't a place to eat, but the Brookshire Brothers grocery store is a 10 minute walk from the fields.

Great facility and fields! The recreational area is well maintained with a large shaded pavilion and seating area that is equipped with large industrial fans.
The are has permanent restrooms on site that are equipped with showering and locker room facilities.
Robust lighting for night games and first aid and staging areas for medic services.

Great place for a high school lacrosse tournament. Top-quality fields, ample shade for those in-between game times, clean restrooms and aluminum bleachers for spectating. The parking lot fills quickly, so time your arrival to be either very early or right when the next game starts so you can snag a parking space from a departing parent.

Great facility for any field sporting event. I have been to several tournaments here and never been disappointed, turf is great although it gets deathly hot in summer and a full day running around on it can be taxing on the joints. Great restrooms and accommodations, staff on site is very helpful.
