About the Club

My name is Juan Bazan, your local fitness and nutrition expert.

My mission is to combat the obesity epidemic in San Antonio, Texas, by transforming all of San Antonio into a healthy, thriving community by raising awareness in weight-loss education and developing and executing comprehensive weight-loss programs.

My core programs are personal training and group training. I have two group training classes, one called fitness boot camp and the other is called cardio kickboxing. Nutrition is a vital element to achieving fitness goals so I create custom meal plans for all of my clients and track their progress with body stats. I offer cooking lessons and grocery store tours to educate those in need of knowledge on proper nutrition.

I’ve been training with Juan for about 2 months and I’m real happy with my progress so far. I love that he changes things up for me to make my workouts challenging and fun. He answers all my questions on meal planning as well to optimize my results. He’s accommodating to my busy schedule. I’m excited to continue to train with him, learn more, and get more results!

Juan was awesome! He is extremely experienced, having trained across several disciplines and with some pretty prestigious fighters it seems like. Juan is a great trainer! Very knowledgeable and honest about goals and achieving them. During the sessions, he’s not your friend and makes you wonder if he even likes you but the results are always great so that’s why i keep coming back. He’s there to train me, not be my friend. Lol

I couldn't recommend Juan as a personal trainer more. I started working with him last year after not having been to the gym for years. From my first day with him he has consistently done everything he could to motivate and educate me on the best ways to improve my health and fitness, both in the gym and with my diet.

I've noticed myself getting stronger and feeling better in my day to day life than I have in quite some time and I can attribute a lot of that to his efforts to keep me motivated and engaged in my own well-being.

If you're looking for a sign to start working out... this is it!!!

I started working with Juan at the begging of March 2021, I was overweight and my body mass was at the highest I've known. I didn't have the energy to do anything, I just wanted to stay home and not go out. I was unhappy with myself since I wanted to change but I didn't know how. However, I said to myself now or never, and did a little bit of research. That's when I met Juan.

He is one of the best trainers I had, he motived me and others. He will make sure, you do everything right, he doesn't just tell you "do this" he will explain why he is telling you to do that exercise. I was doing 4 days a week + meal plan. I worked with him for 6 months, and I saw results by my first month. Exercise is one thing, but food will help you lose weight and get muscle at a fast rate. The meals plans he provided are super "delish" and it comes with all the information about each meal. He also sends you emails with cool and delicious recipes for FREE!!!.
I didn't know how stiff I was until we started stretching. Scratching is a big part of a workout to avoid injuries. Its not always about lifting big weights and he will teach you about that.

I'm so happy with the results since now I'm at 14% body fat. I'm still working on my body but Juan gave me the knowledge and encouragement I need it. He also helped me get a six pack which I'm pretty grateful for. Now, I have more energy and stamina that I didn't have 6 months ago.
I could keep going about all the good things he taught me, but I'll let you try it out. Good luck!

I started with Juan in May of 2021. I needed to do something about my fitness and improve my health. I am an all or nothing type of person, so when I decided to commit, I was all in. I have been working with Juan 4 days a week and every time I never know what the workout will be. For me he has been very focused on strengthening my core and upper legs. This is not to say that we don't work out all parts, but there is always something core or leg related. One thing I definitely appreciate is his focus on stretching. I can tell that really helps me complete the workouts and reducing the soreness from working out. Juan is a good balance of encouragement and tough love. He pushes me to give more than I think I can. There is that one day when you realize how far you've come, and I have had a few of those. I am often surprised how many sit-ups, knee-ups and shoulder squats with weight I can do now. Juan also has a meal plan option which I signed up for, but don't always follow very well. I have seen a difference in my energy level and increase in muscle mass. Additionally, my lab numbers are approaching normal. I highly recommend Juan as a personal trainer and look forward to continuing to work out with him.

My only struggle was I would never finish what I started, partly cause I never saw results, I honestly had no one to push me so I would just workout by walking or getting on the bike once in awhile, I love the workouts now even if I’m a bit slow but I’ll get there and of course I have juan to push me..

I would definitely refer friends and family to my personal trainer Juan Bazan. Before I signed up with Juan I was a Hot Mess. Well let’s face it I’m still a Hot Mess but a Healthier Hot Mess! Lol JK. All kidding aside, I have a heart condition and I am unable to do cardio. He designed a personal program to fit specifically for my needs. So it has been an amazing journey from the time i started until now. I have more energy, I have more endurance, my heart stamina has improved tremendously. I can now walk 2 miles without stopping, I can climb stairs, I’m stronger, and for my condition these things are huge accomplishments! I’ve also lost weight and inches all over my body. So I highly recommend my trainer for all your fitness goals you may have!

I came to Juan looking for a trainer because I needed someone to hold me accountable for everything I do when it comes to fitness. When I came in for a consultation we discussed what I'd like to work on and the weight I want to be at, and then he proceeded to map out a whole meal plan and break down how much weight I'd need to lose a week and how many calories I need to eat to meet that goal. Mind you, at the other gyms I looked at, they didn't map out anything for me. And I'm a visual learner so the fact that Juan put everything out on a white board and explained it showed me that he knows what he's talking about. He provides a meal plan with the training and compared to other places that I looked at, he has the best deal hands down! I completed my first month with him and I'm already seeing results, I lost 4lbs in that first month, which is 1lb a week. I was so satisfied and proud of myself for the consistency, so I continued to do another 12 sessions with Juan, so I'm currently still training with him because I know that if I don't work then the plan won't work. He pushes you when you think you can't do anymore, and he motivates you! All in all, he has the qualities that every trainer should have!

I am very happy with my results so far. I could not hide the smile on my face when I had to buy new scrubs for work. I’m down a size now yay! Juan is totally annoying because he is constantly on me about my attendance but it shows he cares and I am thankful for that. He is very detailed with meal plans and monthly evaluations and it’s helped me stay on track to my goals. Overall I am happy with the results and would encourage anyone to try it out!

Before I started training with Juan, I tried several diets and tried to workout on my own at a big gym. I felt lost and no one was there to help me. So luckily, I found him. If you want a welcoming, and at the same time, no B.S. approach to getting in shape I highly encourage you to check out Juan and his gym. I've been to the Lifetime, Anytime and Planet Fitness' of the world and none are going to give you the full body workout that the interval training here will give you. Instead of the endless lines of treadmills, machines and ellipitcals, you'll get a full body workout from the light dumbbells, straps, bosu balls, and whatever else Juan has cooked up that day. The variety is the best part in that it's never the same workout week after week.

I came here 4 days a week for a solid 6 months. The only reason I don't still attend is I moved out of state for work. In the 6 months I was here I lost 10lbs, gained noticeable muscle definition, and my cardio greatly improved. Part of that is on you with nutrition (which Juan is happy to coach and help you with) but the workouts here are what kick started my fitness improvements.

Juan will push you, but it's also on you to push yourself. Don't be intimidated as the class is for all types, skill and fitness levels. You're not walking into a class of shredded personal trainer types, its everyday folk like you and I. Go to one week of class and decide if you like it, you'll feel the hard work in just those few days. If I'm ever back in town I will definitely be stopping by for a workout. I found this gym through Groupon for the cardio kickboxing class. First time working with kickboxing bag was shown correct motions to follow through so as to not cause injury. Helped me push to make the 6 am class by pre arranging to attend class. Every class worked a different muscle group. Had a nice resulting experience.

If you are not self motivated, then this is the place for you. When I started coming I knew absolutely nothing and was so weak but with time I learned a lot and I have gained so much confidence in myself. Do 4 sessions a week of personal training and boxing. Sessions are fun and trainer makes sessions about me. Asked trainer to help me with a diet plan and we sat down and made a complete plan for me to follow. Over all this is so far the best experience ive had with personal training.
