Exceptional classic Pilates studio in the heart of uptown, inside an old gingerbread house. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and they go out of their way to help everyone!! Highly recommend for privates & small group training ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m writing this review in response of Natalie Hooper’s comments on this studio because I think her review is not objective, just or appropriate. This person has never even been to the studio and has never met Anoma.
I first came to this studio because I was looking for a certification program around Dallas area. I went in person to different studios which offered classical Pilates training and I chose Pilates Methodology, even though it was a long drive for me. I am currently an apprentice in this studio and have known Anoma for about half a year, and one of the reasons I’ve chosen this very studio and this training program is because Anoma is a very nice and honest person and she creates a very friendly environment for all people coming to the studio, both employees and clients.
And I’m sure, everyone who knows Anoma or has met her at least once would agree that she’s everything but condescending.

I was genuinely excited to reach out to this studio — not only to take classes but to potentially teach here one day. Their focus on classical Pilates fully aligns with my own training and values. The director of my 450-hour program was taught by someone who worked directly under Romana Kryzanowska, the same lineage Anoma references in her email as the foundation of their program. Our curriculum follows the same authentic, classical system they describe — the only difference being that their program includes two intermediate sections, while mine combines those levels into one.

Despite our shared lineage and philosophy, Anoma’s response came across as unnecessarily condescending. Rather than celebrating a fellow Pilates professional who deeply values the same method and heritage, she chose to diminish my education for having 150 fewer hours. Ironically, the studio has even hired instructors in the past who graduated from the exact program she was speaking down about.

Pilates, at its core, is about community, growth, and respect for the practice — not comparison or elitism. It’s disappointing to see someone representing such a meaningful lineage use it to separate rather than connect. That said, I still believe this studio has the potential to embody the true spirit of classical Pilates — one that uplifts, welcomes, and honors the passion of every teacher who shares this lineage. I truly hope Anoma reconsiders how she communicates with others in the community, because a more open and collaborative approach could turn this kind of experience into something positive for everyone.

I've been coming to Pilates Methodology for four years now and can confidently say that it's changed not only my body, but my life in general. Anoma and her team--specifically Cynthia, Gabrielle, Tela, and Anne--are the best at what they do. My sessions with them are the highlight of my week. They know their stuff and, somehow, manage to tailor every class to each individual. The studio is to die for, and each employee (shoutout Sydney and Danny) has done a phenomenal job of fostering an awesome community. I'll be a Methodology stan for the rest of my life!

Ho. Ly. Mo. Ly. I took a Wunda Chair class with Anne Harlowe. It was just 3 of us, geared towards High Intermediate students, and it was excellent. Great workout, stellar cues, true Classical progression, and the space is gorgeous.

I noticed a bunch of apprentices and interns around, which is always a good sign. I am here visiting but will definitely come back to do some of their other advanced classes on my next visit. So glad I came in!

A wonderful studio. Owner Anoma is a talented, experienced instructor. The space is welcoming and inclusive. This is THE place for authentic classical Pilates in Dallas!

Edited 2/10/2025: While visiting Dallas I had a chance to receive Fascial Stretch Therapy at Pilates Methodology. As a movement professional, I’m picky about who I let work on me. Many massage experiences leave me underwhelmed, and I don’t like the idea of stretching for the sake of stretching. Practitioner Danny Gomez is knowledgeable, respectful and talented. The fascia stretch work helped restore my natural range of motion, worked out a few kinks, and left me energized and feeling incredible for a busy working weekend. This work is an amazing complement to the Pilates repertoire. In fact, I’ve already found the two licensed practitioners in my city and can’t wait to get more work of it. This will be something I must do every time I’m in Dallas from now on.

It is my hub now :)). Love that place! All is very clean and well maintained, Pilates instructors are very attentive to your needs and matters. Small classes look like private sessions in a good company. Oh, red light therapy is a big plus to that place.

I was brand new to Pilates when I began training with Cynthia. She is a really knowledgeable and considerate instructor who was able to help me learn and become comfortable with the different pilates equipment very quickly. She is a lot of fun to train with as well, always upbeat and ready to push me. I saw real progress after just a few sessions and several months into training, I was able to touch my toes for the first time in decades! Every session is different with an emphasis on challenging me and also building on previous weeks' progress. She keeps it fun and engaging every session!

If you are looking for a great fascia stretch treatment (FST) to work out those stubborn spots that even massages can't seem to work out, schedule an appointment with Danny. He did an AMAZING job at loosening up those stubborn spots with ease. I left standing taller and feeling amazing. The best part -- he accepts HSA & FSA payments as well. Hurry and book your appointment today! You won't be disappointed

Every instructor I have had is great in a different way. Cynthia seems to understand my struggles and has helped me lose lots of weight in the last couple of months. I highly recommend private lessons if you are new to Pilates. I just took my first regular class last week and felt very confident in what I was doing. I don't think I would have felt that confident if I hadn't had private lessons.

I love this place! I started going twice a week about 2 months ago but only got consistent maybe a month or so ago and I can already feel the change in my body. I am a lot more flexible and I feel more nimble.

The staff here really care about you and your goals. They know exactly how and when to challenge you and when they need to take it easy on you. Anoma and her group of pilates teachers are amazing, friendly and super knowledgeable. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend this studio.

I have heard so many good things about Pilates from my patients and friends through the years. I was very excited to get to try Pilates with my friend Anoma for the 1st time. The parking is so convenient, especially for Uptown. The studio is beautiful. The building has great windows, woodwork, and light. It has so many pieces of amazing equipment from the reformer to the Cadillac. Anoma is amazing at her job. She is so informative and encouraging. The whole staff there is amazing as well! Danny is certified in FST for stretching and recovery. Anne is a super kind and knowledgeable instructor also! If you are new to Pilates like me it’s important to start with a private lesson to learn the ropes. If you are well experienced they have ALL the original Pilates equipment that the founder developed. I saw some of the advanced movements and it was incredible! I am looking forward to my next session!

Best studio. Best instructors. They really care about you and your goals. Whatever level you are or what condition you might be in they tailor to your needs. They got me through 2 pregnancies pre natal and postpartum and have helped me get stronger and healthier. Can’t recommend Pilates Methodology enough.

If you want to truly change your life, this studio can help you achieve that. If you are a man, this studio should be your starting point. Anoma and her team are exceptional. If you practice yoga in Dallas, give this a try. Yoga in Dallas has become aerobics and taught by so many untrained teachers. Anoma’s team didn’t just take a 200 hour course and start teaching. They live Pilates and have been practicing for most of their life. They are dedicated to help you improve your life. My only regret is not starting sooner in life. I had this notion in my head that Pilates was only for women, and I was intimated to walk in the door. How interesting that after practicing for 7 months, I can contribute so much to this practice and this specific studio. My body is changing: it’s more flexible, more balanced, and overall stronger than ever before. I’m 43 and I feel like I’m in my 20’s. I’m really blessed to have found this studio and be trained by some of the best Pilates instructors in the world.

The best pilates studio in Dallas!! This studio teaches classes on the Tower, Reformer, and Wunda Chair. I love that the class sizes are small. The instructors are very knowledgeable and they tailor classes to all experience levels. I’ve been taking classes for over a year and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my posture, flexibility, strength, and overall well-being!

I enjoy variety of classes, including Wunda Chair, Reformer, and Tower sessions. What sets this studio apart is its small class sizes, allowing for personalized attention and guidance from the instructors. The serene ambiance and tasteful aesthetics of the studio further enhance the overall experience, making every visit a delightful one. Their apprentice class priced at just $15 and regular classes costing $35 with the 10 class package. I highly recommend this studio to anyone seeking a welcoming and relaxing fitness environment.

I tried the FST with Danny, seeking relief from pain and stiffness in my left knee and right shoulder. The pain in both areas was effecting my mobility and sleep.
WOWWEE!! — The instant relief I felt in my knee was mind-boggling!! I literally limped into the studio, then felt like jumping for joy as I left!
After my second session, my right shoulder felt much more mobile.
During the sessions, I felt a “tingling sensation” in my extremities that seemed to awaken my body and rejuvenate me.
I ABSOLUTELY ENDORSE this FST technique Danny administers. I look forward to my next session because not only is FST invigorating, but Danny is also a fun and charismatic practitioner.

After nearly a year of being on break from pilates, I'm so glad Pilates Methodology is there to welcome me back with big, open arms. As long as Rachael and her team of vibrant, experienced instructors are in Dallas, I won't go anywhere else. (Kate, you rock!)

I learned under Rachael for a long time at another studio, and when she left, I was DEVASTATED. So, it should come as no surprise that I couldn't WAIT to get back in class when PM opened.

The studio is beautiful and very well equipped. It's airy, bright and big without being overwhelming or impersonal. Plus, I love that it feels and smells clean, because dirty is the last thing you want to think when your body is touching a mat or piece of equipment.

I love that PM's instructors focus on Joseph Pilates' original technique, are attentive to your individual needs and abilities, and push you to just the right degree of burn.

I look forward to becoming a regular here. If you're looking for a studio to call home, I urge you to attend a class and see things for yourself.

I've had such great experiences at this studio. I'm not in very good shape, but I don't feel embarrassed about my lack of ability because the instructors are super helpful and supportive. I've never really worked out before (and I'm 35) so it's been an adjustment, but the workouts are great.

I started off with the Studio Pass, which is such an incredible deal. The private sessions gave me the personal attention I needed and I've enjoyed a combo of the mat and equipment classes. My pass is close to expiring, but I definitely plan to continue on!

My favorite classes so far are Vbarre and Reformer. I can't say enough amazing things about Pilates Methodology!

First off, the studio is beautiful and airy. Lovely location with easy parking. Second, the instructors are amazing. I've been taking Pilates from Rachael for years, and she is a tough workout. I've only taken from a handful of the other instructors at Methodology, but they've all been great as well. What I particularly love is their attentiveness to any "trouble spots" you might have. I have a wonky hamstring, and they always make sure I adjust and make accommodations for that. I love this studio and highly recommend it.
