The lady who answered the phone this morning was rude. I canceled my membership three months ago, and $63 was still deducted from my account today. I asked to speak with a manager, but she argued and was disrespectful. I repeatedly requested to speak with her manager. She placed me on hold for 40 minutes, then picked up the phone, stated I would not be refunded, and hung up. This company takes advantage of people and their money. I will never recommend this gym to anyone. I will be contacting my lawyer to resolve this matter.

I think there should be equal representation on the networks. When I asked to have CNN turned on, I was told that Spectrum had removed the channel, this is not what Spectrum said. Why no CNN Planet Fitness………?

I came in to ask about a membership. To see about all the options I have, And the staff member Christopher was Amazing!! Very Kind and helpful. As we were talking, He greeted and acknowledged everyone that came in. I thought that was pretty cool. If I decide on PF he was definitely one of the reasons! Give that man a RAISE!! This negative review is not meant for Planet Fitness. It is meant for whomever is managing this plaza that it is located in. Patrons of planet fitness shouldnt have to worry about their cars being towed. I just watched someone car being towed that was parked less than 2 hours by ATX Towing. This tow company has an habitual unethical method of towing people cars. I have been watching this go on for weeks and it is ridiculous. I get towing cars that's been there all day illegally parked. Yet they are singling out certain cars to towed. For example if a car is parked further out in the parking lot away other cars, they are seemingly targeted. I am going to use my government contacts to contact a city official about this manner because this is ridiculous. ONCE AGAIN THIS MESSAGE IS NOT MEANT FOR PLANET FITNESS BUT FOR THE PLAZA MANAGEMENT . THAT IT IS IN.

While taking a shower and getting part way dressed a female came in and went in a dressing room talking loudly and yelling at someone on the phone. She repeated yelling he just got out. He just Then she started yelling stop threatening me! Several times. This went on the entire time I was getting dressed. I heard someone else in the bathroom and looked out and saw an employee with a purple sweatshirt on. I put a towel around me and walked over to her. She jumped back from me acting startled I would approach her. I asked if she could speak to the lady and she acted like what? I repeated and she still acted dumbfounded. Then I asked Do you work here? She said yes but I can’t say anything to her. I asked about the code of no cell phones and the fact that lady keeps yelling. She said Yes, I know, she comes in and does this every day. She said she would try to talk to her later. I walked back to the dressing room to finish dressing and grab my things. I left without doing my hair or makeup as I was very uncomfortable and scared because the lady seemed very agitated.. When I got to the front door I asked the employee for her name. She asked why? I stated I because I would like to know who I am/was speaking to. She said NO and looked down. The other employee had a name tag reading Regine.
The employee I had talked to is tall, long black hair, wearing a lot of makeup and maybe in age range of late 20s to early 30s? Not really sure on the age part.

If there are codes and people are supposed to contact the employees of issues so they can handle them yet refuse then what really is the point.

This all occurred the morning of Friday, April 18, 2025. It was around 8:30am when I got back to my vehicle.

I was harrased by management for not putting cable attachments back . I feel singled out just for being committed to my fittness journey . When I approached manager to discuss being singled out I was given an attitude and treated poorly. KIds should not be a manager if they are on power trip. Glad I quit this gym. Three of the guys on staff are creepy and talk about the female members’ looks. That makes it extremely uncomfortable, not to mention completely unprofessional. Update 1 year later: still enjoying this location. This gym is still clean and they just got new gear. I had to cancel because I moved but if you're worried about cancelling I can confirm it was effortless. Great gym!

The showers smell like homeless people go there. That's okay, but they need to be cleaned and sanitized.

I have been to a lot of PF locations, but this is definitely my favorite one. Everyone who works here is so welcoming and supportive, and I love seeing my girls Tabitha and Regine every morning! I love the layout of the gym here; it's open and spacious, and there are more machines here than other locations I've been to. This PF is also well taken care of and super clean. I have been coming here every morning for over 4 years as part of my routine, and I make sure to not move too far away because I love this location so much! I really appreciate you guys!

I like how most of the time the staff are kind and friendly and are not in your business. There is a lot of choice in equipment and only every now and then are some of the machines down. I like how I can go in there and do my thing without judgement. The only cons I would say is we need more weight lifting racks and less high knees machines.

I love the friendly diverse staff. I wish there was another machine dedicated to the exercises that utilize the bench And squat rack. They get tied up using the benches and a free weight and nothing to do with utilizing the actual squat or bench. The bench is a very common core exercise. Laying half on the bench and using a 25lb weight to do a pelvic crunch takes up a lot of time for this trendy exercise while not even using the rack. Other than that, I enjoy the atmosphere and friendliness. Thank You! the money to get in, workout without judgement and several stations to choose from.

I am a Member in Corpus Christi/Padre Island and started coming here about a month ago, Black Card allows that. I like it, very clean. I am a cardio guy but I noticed that the machines with weight plates have shrouds around them - no embarassment of not being able to lift much, nobody knows what you're lifting. Cool touch. There are always plenty of modern machines, restrooms are clean and well maintained. Front desk has been friendly. The temperature seems perfect, and there is absolutely no 'gym smell' which is really nice.

Whoever the 3 that were working on 5-23-23 between 11am-1pm. The 2 Gentlemen and The Lady were AMAZING. They had no problem answering all of our questions and even helped me with the app on how to add a guest and different tips and tricks. By far the friendliest staff I've encountered at PF and I go to them all around TX. It was also a good experience for my daughter who was nervous to go to the gym but is a bit more comfortable due to the service of staff, gym and community. She sees the "No Judgment " tag is real. Truly just wanted to brag on the staff, we truly appreciate all 3 of their help and guidance.

Heads up! You will be charged an “annual fee” one month after signing up. If you do decide to terminate your contract make sure it is 7 days in advance before your next billing cycle. I should have been informed of this (yes it’s most likely in the contract) before paying a $60 termination fee, then charged again a day later for an annual fee. The rep who cancelled my contract never mentioned an upcoming annual payment that would be taken from my ACH account even though I had already cancelled. I am out of over $100 in less than 2 days. Truly upsetting.

Planet Fitness is a great value for the money. Staff are exceptionally personable and courteous. Gym is always clean and well maintained, as are the locker rooms and restrooms. It has enough gear to cover weightlifting essentials and plenty of cardio equipment. Lots of parking available and conveniently located. Waited at the counter for 10 minutes for someone to show up only to find out once again that they only have 1 working tanning booth and it is booked. Don't count on this "benefit" being readily available at Slaughter lane because that is rarely the case.
Went in today Feb 18 at 9:30 to tan and EVERY tanning bed was down because of a wifi issue. I asked Aleyssa to cancel my membership and she did with the promise of no cancelation charges or fees.
This is easily the worst ran fitness gym I have ever seen. No apologies or concerns that none if their tanning beds are usable.

I love all of the TV screens with news and cartoons. I also appreciate it being open 24/7 and always having an employee working the front desk. It gives me a sense of security knowing someone is watching the cameras or checking people in. If I was to change something it would be the area to lay out a yoga mat and do some stretches or crunches is pretty much non existent. There is no dedicated space to just lay out your mat, I always feel a little awkward placing it wherever there is an open space, but I'm also kind of in the way.
