This place is a joke! I received a call from a guy named Alvin, I believe he stated that he was the general manager. He called me due to a previous 1 star review that I had left due to Planet Fitnesses false advertisement. He asked me to gather some information that I didn’t have on hand at the time of the phone call and to call him back after his upcoming meeting. He assured me that he would be taking care of my issue, in hopes of making up for this first bad impression that they had left. So, I got home and gathered the information that he was requesting and called later that day, I ended up getting his voice mail and left him a message. It has now been over a month and 4 messages later and have yet to hear back from him. I have been more than patient with this company and am now going to look elsewhere for my fitness needs! Absolutely ridiculous! I was really hopeful that I Planet Fitness would have turned this around for me, but instead just made things worse!

This is a really good gym, it's clean, easy layout. Friendly staff. My only complaint is the amount of people that are allowed to sleep literally sleep on equipment. Or in the changing room in the men's restroom. I get they pay for a membership as well, but it's not a hotel and it inconveniences the members that are trying to use the equipment or rooms for their intended purposes. Again, the gym is kept very clean, and staff is super friendly. Good environment for working out.

UPDATE it seems that planet fitness has stepped up and resolved the issue with people sleeping there. Also the layout has changed as they bought newer equipment. Way to go!

This gym is well-maintained and very organized. It has everything needed to do great workout with. Since the first day I came to the gym, I knew this was perfect one for me. The Judgement Free Zone makes it worthwhile to go to. For any residents in Austin, this is by far, a great one to visit. With Alexa and the rest of the spectacular crew members, this gym has an enlightening future ahead.

This area is sketchy. Looks like deals are being conducted outside of the facility. Definitely, don’t recommend coming here at night if you’re a woman. Needless to say, staff are as rude. Parking sucks as well. They didn’t assist me to get a gym membership. They told me to go online and do it myself. I’m not sure why there is like 5 people on payroll if they’re not doing their job.

I love this gym! After visiting several different gym facilities PF is by far the best. Truly a no judgement gym. No one bothers you or hogs the equipment. I rarely see ppl taking videos. They have strict but fair rules. Great price and the water massage beds are the best!

I went to this PF in the early morning for two weeks while working in Austin. It was always clean and the equipment was in good shape. Damien at the front desk was great. Always welcoming each member and encouraging them to have a good workout!

This Planet Fitness has decent treadmills, but struggles to deliver on the basics that make a gym functional.

The layout is my biggest frustration, there's virtually no dedicated space for stretching or abdominal exercises. People end up crowding walkways or squeezing between machines, creating both safety hazards and awkward encounters.

There are very few numbers of the most popular equipment, making availability consistently problematic, especially during peak hours.

Facility maintenance is often neglected. The air conditioning frequently malfunctions, the showers/water fountains are regularly out of order.

Do not recommend opening an account with them at this location. it is always dirty and machines don’t out of service. what makes it worst is the I simply cannot reach anybody. no one answer phone calls ? call after call, morning afternoon and night no one ever answers. I happen to call the store in front of them while INSIDE and they simply ignored it. god forbid you guys leave anything behind and have to drive all the way over just to find it’s not there anymore.

Absolutely Amazing Gym!

I recently switched from the Planet Fitness off West Anderson to the location at 6425 S I-35, and wow, what a difference! This gym is a total game-changer. From the moment I walked in, I could tell the vibe here is next level.

The cleanliness is impeccable—everything from the workout floor to the locker rooms sparkles. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining a fresh and welcoming space. The equipment is in pristine condition, and I’ve never had to wait for a machine.

The real stars, though, are the staff. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and genuinely seems to love what they do. And let me just say, Travis is absolutely phenomenal! He’s so approachable, makes sure the place runs like clockwork, and always has a smile on his face.

Switching to this location has seriously upped my fitness game. If you’re looking for a clean, well-maintained gym with a positive, energetic atmosphere, you’ve got to check this one out! Trust me, it’s a whole new level of awesome.

You know when a gym is racist how the staff greats you. I made eye contact to a hispanic woman and said hello. She looked up, then looked down, ignores me, but said Hola to the person who followed behind me. Then I walk into the men's locker room and I see a door missing with a suitcase in its place. Open another door a bunch of clothes stuff in a locker. Getting dressed, I saw two homeless black males rummaging through their clothes.

Warm (not hot) showers. While they’re clean, they do have quite a bit of black mold. Otherwise, a clean facility. There’s actual changing *rooms* instead of stalls, which is nice.

This is the worst gym in Austin. Members bring their gym bags to the floor as if it is an airport. Front desk girls not greeting members, all they do is flirting with their boyfriends or playing with their phones. Men's locker room is not clean at all. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

As a traveling superintendent I go to planet fitness centers all over. I have never had any issues with an employee until today. The guy at the counter was BEYOND RUDE and was raising his voice (i was just trying to buy a bottle of water) so I left to go to another location. I cannot express enough how bad i wanted to grab him by his neck and drag him across the counter and do some damage to his rude mouth to teach him a lesson. I'm sure nothing will be done by management or the owner but I figured I would share my experience anyway.
