No hot or warm water in showers for two
months now. This sign has been there on and off for the past two months. Every time I ask at the front desk about when it will be fixed, they just point to this sign and do not bother to even provide a proper response. Reached out to the general manager last week. Got a response that it will be fixed, but no date. I guess they just expect us to wait. Can’t wait for the location in Lakeway to open so I can stop coming to this location.

12/1 update: no hot water yet. No response from the General Manger after my attempts to follow-up.

It’s really sad to see a gym go down like this. The employees and especially the manager are extremely hardworking and corporative! It’s a safety hazard at this point as the temp is set so low and the heating is out since months. I’ve written to corporate several times but no one ever gets back. Please take note the men’s washroom has mold inside lockers and due to lack of proper sanitation will cause some decease. Men throw springs in the urinal! Late night crowd is the worst there have been instances where I’ve seen women coming out of the mens. Safe space?
At the end of the day from all the responses to the reviews show that they won’t care until there is mass cancellation of membership. Hope that happens or they fix members concerns. Please don’t bother responding as I personally don’t appreciate condescending responses

The COLDEST location in America 🥶 they keep it 67-68 degrees so it’s impossible to get in a sweat. I addressed this to the manager and she said she “put in a work order” it’s been over a month and absolutely no change…. Didn’t know turning the thermostat was such an impossible task. Once EOS opens up next door I’m leaving. I’ve been to plenty of planet fitness locations across America and this is the only one that’s kept freezing cold regardless of what the temperature is outside. The gym itself is clean, some of the machines are awkward for people 5’6 and taller like the lat pull, lower back extension & triceps machine. The massage chairs aren’t the same as other locations that tilt back and compress your legs. Since it lacks those features it just feels like you backs getting rubbed.

I have been with PF for 10 years. I had previously been with LifeFitness, but moved to a small town where PF wa the only gym available. I move to Austin, but stuck with PF. There weights options have always been more limited than other gyms, but, lately, they have been updating all their cardio equipment to Matrix. These machines are worse than their 10 year old equipment. They are unstable and seem to break regularly. When I say unstable, they feel like they are going to tumble over at times. This location was the last one near me with the old cardio equipment that is superior. I am to the point that I am going to look for a new gym. Austin has LifeFitness and I will be checking them out and other local gyms.

I don’t like to do this ever but the experience here is ridiculous. I purchased a membership and just didn’t like my experience at the gym and asked to cancel the membership I didn’t care for a refund.

I ended up getting 2 charges on one day a month later, one for $27.11 and one for $16.24 (they won’t explain the charges still but say they are valid since cancellation wasn’t processed).
So I go online and cancel but get no email confirmation. So I try a few more times and nothing. Since I LIVE IN DALLAS when I called they said I had to come in person. I explained how far I was and they said they could do it over the phone. The call hangs up I call back and supposedly it was done. I get charged again today $53.04 the annual fee I’m guessing. So I call about this charge and now they gave me 5 different numbers to call nobody can help cancel I have to do it online or in person but I’ve done it online 100 times.. literally 100 times if I have the time to write this trust I had the time to cancel it several times after never getting an email confirmation when I would….

Now they say go in person.
Here we are it’s September 2nd 2025 and the gym location is closed due to equipment upgrades.

I have a whole other gym HERE NEAR MY HOME IN DALLAS I pay for and three kids I can’t be throwing money away this is ridiculous and causing chaos in our life at this moment.

They don’t seem to understand I worked so freaking hard for that money for my kids we are in a horrible position at the moment this is not a joke. I get this and that with the policies but after all of this I should at least get my refund..

I have mostly good things to say about this plus with the exception of one big con. The good things are:

Staff is super friendly and helpful. They helped me and sister learn about the total body enhancement and overall are pretty responsive about gym issues/if you need help with something. There’s a good variety of gym machines for both strength training and cardio. The stretching and ab area is a bit small, but serves its purpose. Restrooms (during the times I come) are mostly clean. I love the black card perks and getting a massage after my workout is a must. I have not used the showers so I can’t comment on those.

My only con right now is they do not enforce the 30 minute workout yellow area policies. People will literally be sitting on the machines for over 5 minutes, sometimes doing nothing except scrolling on their phones, talking with their gym partner, and like today, sitting criss cross on the leg machine doing nothing. This is frustrating because I specifically go use this area to get my 30 minute whole body workout in because sometimes that’s all the time I have to go to the gym. The machines are meant to be used in 60 second intervals, not 5 to 10 minutes wasting time. Please be mindful if you’re using this area and if gym staff could please actually enforce the policies and monitor the area instead of walking by and just smiling like nothing is going on. This is my reason for 4 stars and not 5.

I use many of these gyms and have come to this location several times over the past year... this place ALWAYS is filthy. I keep hoping the change in staff will improve the conditions, but it hasn't. You walk in and the smell is awful. I understand you sweat at a gym, but this is worse. It will gag you when you walk in, and I'm going to blame the cleanliness of this location. The bathroom stalls have urine everywhere and female products in areas you would need to touch. The showers have mold growing everywhere, and there is BLOOD, can only imagine from a no no place because of the pad wrappers on the floor near the wall, it's gotta be a cesspool of germs and who knows what in there! Will NEVER come back to this location EVER!!!!

I haven’t been inside a Planet Fitness in forever. I would say that I am above average when it comes to working out. I’ve been using all other gyms except PF. I have to say I was a little pleased walking into the Parmer and Georgetown locations. PF has all the equipment I need and the staff was great. Seemed pretty clean the environment was nice. There's absolutely no employees at this location. I spilled 64 oz of water in the floor, I dropped my water bottle. I stood there so nobody would slip and fall while trying to flag down an employee. Not only was I looking for an employee but several other gym members were also looking for an employee. I finally had to ask a guest to stand at the puddle while I went and found a mop bucket and several wet floor signs to mop up the water and put up signs. This went on for like..15 minutes. Not only that but I pay for a black card and haven't been able to use any of the amenities that I pay for because an employee has to start all of the machines for you and I can never find one lol.....wild.

Despite the ample and well-maintained cardio machines, the men’s locker room and shower area exhibit mold problems. Furthermore, there are individuals residing in their cars in the parking lot, utilizing the PF location for restroom and shower facilities. I guess you can’t argue if they’re paid customers.
