I use the Cedar Hill gym and have a very limited time to get my 1 hour workout in. It is very frustrating with people that get on a machine and then look at their phone for 15 minutes before using the machine. Additionally I attempted to use the 30 minute workout section but there was only 2 of us that were following the program. Most people were using it like the regular gym, using one machine for 20 minutes and not following the program. Very difficult to complete the circuit in 30 minutes

Today was my first time visiting the Planet Fitness in Cedar Hill, and I genuinely enjoyed it far more than the Mansfield location. I arrived around 4 a.m. and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and comfortable the environment was. There were only two or three people working out at that time, which is a huge contrast to the Mansfield location that always seems busy even as early as 3 a.m.

The layout at the Cedar Hill gym feels much more open and better organized. I really appreciate how easy it is to move around without feeling crowded. As someone who values privacy and a calm workout environment, this location suits me perfectly.

Although I have a home gym, there are just some exercises and machines I can’t replicate at home. That’s why I like to supplement my workouts by going to Planet Fitness two or three times a week. It’s obvious no one can own 10–15 machines at home, so having access to a well equipped and peaceful gym like this is a big plus for me.

The only minor downside I’ve noticed is that some of the machines at the Cedar Hill location are a bit older and could eventually use an update. A few have already been swapped out, so it looks like they’re making improvements. It’s definitely not a dealbreaker just something worth mentioning for anyone who’s used to newer equipment.

Since I recently moved to the Midlothian area and there’s no Planet Fitness nearby yet, I had to choose between Mansfield and Cedar Hill. Cedar Hill is about 8 miles closer round-trip, and after today’s experience, I’ve decided this will be my go-to location whenever I decide to hit the gym.

Highly recommend this gym for anyone who prefers a quieter, more relaxed workout space especially during early morning hours.

The cedar hill gym has a lot of old school and new equipment and is never crowded. With all the new gyms popping up in the area, PF updated some of their equipment and so I can do my free weights, abs, cardio and machine weights with no wait ever, except sometimes the seated curl machine i sometimes have to tap people on the shoulder to get off that one lol

Maybe 2 months ago the restrooms ladies no fixing it's closed on DeSoto platet fitness it's terrible because the customers ladies need to water for hidratation
So I have black card.
And I have a problem urinary ,because the restrooms lady's some times frequently it's closed.

Some new equipment added to the gym. I have a membership for a few years here. Love that they are open 24 hrs. They could work better in the cleaning. Somehow, there are lots of paper towels on the floor. The bathroom is not so clean sometimes. I usually go out of peak hrs. Not busy, that is great for me. I don't have to worry about waiting for other people to finish using the machines or the equipments

This is a nice gym with good equipment. If you look at my reviews of other PF locations, you will see that I'm pretty positive. This location needs to update and really deep clean. There was dirt all along the wall where the smith machines are. Not terrible but there were 5 workers behind the counter and i think some of them should have been cleaning. The locker room showers are particularly dirty. One shower door is broken, but the mold really needs the most attention.

I would not give this review if I wouldn’t have something great to say about this place and also if it wasn’t for the front desk laddy.
Every time I come in and leave, her greeting and her smile NEVER fails. 7:30 am in the morning and she is ready to receive any one with a wonderful actitud. Hopefully the admin appreciates what she does. 😊

Planet thieves , watch your bank statements they will add another account to your bank card . And when you don’t have a phone number to that account, they say they can’t take it off . Customer service is terrible , I built a home gym they said I can’t cancel my membership , crazy! I really like the PF brand but this is consistently the worst location I have visited in the area. The women’s bathroom is frequently smelly and strewn with toilet paper. The massage chairs in the lounge are far from relaxing - downright awful and the recumbent bikes are outdated and in disrepair. Very disappointing compared to other clubs.

Great atmosphere, very clean, wonderful desk clerk. The weekend desk representative was excellent and greeted us with a smile. Definitely felt comfortable doing my workout. The HydroMassage chair is awesome! I am only on day three but I feel very comfortable. I didn't know with the Black Card membership you also get a personal trainer. I signed up online and of course didn't read everything. I use to be a member years ago. So that is good to know. I may take advantage of the opportunity.

This is my current gym. It's pretty good, although I have nothing to compare it to. The people working are friendly and helpful enough. Machines and equipment are always in good working order with a few expected exceptions, but when Machines do malfunction, it seems that they are operational again within a few days. My only complaint is the bathroom. It's always got water all over the floor. Idk if that's normal. Good enough for $10-$25 in my opinion.

They'll put up wet floor signs for days at a time rather than remove water from floor.

Sink's water pressure has always been insufficient. Their far right side faucet was out of commission for about 4-5 months before they fixed it.

Trash constantly on floor, occasionally for days at a time.

Pretty much always hair all around the shower drain.

Not a quality, clean place to maintain hygiene.
