The gym facility is good, but I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional service from the manager. He was not willing to help with my issue from the very beginning. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, he seemed more interested in ending my service or asking me to end it myself.

This is not the level of customer support I expected. When I visited the Leander location, the staff there were very professional and helpful, and they resolved my issue quickly.

This is my new favorite planet fitness in the Austin area! There were plenty of showers and changing stalls. The showers had nice hot water. There was plenty of equipment with natural light. Only thing is it’s a small parking lot.

I had a great experience signing up as a black card member yesterday thank you to Miquel and De Shawn!Both of them did a fantastic job explaining the membership options to me.Their costumer service and communication skills are exactly what I envision staff should be at a gym.
I was able to experience the message chair which had me sold on the black card membership.
DeShawn did a outstanding job giving me a tour of the gym and he answered all of my questions going above and beyond,Miquel too!
Miquel and DeShawn did great work multi tasking together while greeting the established members, answering their questions and all of my questions and they gave me a tour of the facility before signing me up.
The outside and inside of the gym is very clean.The parking lot was easy to access in and out to maneuver around not having a lot of traffic.So no busy shopping center traffic and people to deal with when you just want to get your work out in.
I am excited to have signed up as a member at Planet Fitness in Cedar Park.I look forward to working with the personal trainer and all the amenities the gym has to offer.

Solid location especially at night. Only problem is premium members or people paying for refreshments waiting for 20 minutes at the front desk late at night with no sign showing a return. Sometimes I am not sure if there are any staff in the building. If front desk manages the amenities we pay extra for they need to be present.

We’ve been going to Planet Fitness for several years and we have always had a good experience until today. My wife and I always use the hydro beds after we work out and today we went to use the beds and we were told that our membership only allows me to use the bed. We have literally used the beds every single time for three years- without question. The kid behind the counter who ended up being the general manager explained that we weren’t allowed to do that, which I understand but his attitude was sooooo smug and he didn’t care if we canceled our membership or not….so we did. There are way too many other gyms in the area to put up with his attitude!!

I locked my keys in my Honda Pilot today at PF, the window was partially down so I asked the manager if I could use a metal stool and he said no. I said I'm parked right by the door and he said you're not taking that stool out the door. I called Pop-A-Lock and waited over an hour, he had a folding step stool in his trunk so that only took a couple seconds. 😟

LOOOOVE this location. The staff are PHENOMENAL. One even noticed I got my hair cut (I wear a hat like always). This location is extremely clean and the machines are always functioning. It’s very rare that I’ve seen any out of order signs here. I have to agree with other reviewers that during the summer special for “kids” it’s a lil ridiculous. There was a group of 8 boys standing around the leg press and then they’d go to the pec deck and slam the weights (like you could hear it across the gym) repeatedly. We shouldn’t have to “narc” off kids that clearly have zero gym etiquette, if we can see it staff can see it (they won’t initiate any action unless a member says something). OTHER THAN THAT this is honestly the greatest location I’ve been at. I’ve been to a lot of gyms and I NEVER thought I’d ever be in a Planet Fitness. I’m so glad I took a chance on this location. I did visit the 183 location (by Kohls) and I will NEVER go back there. All in all I would say this is a 5 star gym for the basic to intermediate gym goer.

I've been a member here for over a year. This is a pretty solid gym September through April. During the summer they run a special for 14-18 year olds that makes the gym unbearable at times. It gets hella crowded with young people who probably mean well, but they 1) loiter on the machines looking at their phones endlessly, 2) hang around on the machines in groups, and 3) generally just don't know what they are doing.

Literally, I'd give this place four stars, maybe 4.5 for the fall, winter, and spring. It's a 2 star gym during the summer and it's 100% due to their special targeting middle and high schoolers.

I strength train with my dad (Black Card holder) and the first few weeks were great! Most days I went with him, others I went alone with the guest pass. But then suddenly one day some power tripped employee named Ethan said “new policy you cant be here without the card holder” and kicked me out.

Nice, modern, clean club. Friendly, but not intrusive members - very sanitation conscious. I’m in my 8th decade, a physician, and know I need to be careful & avoid strain or injury. To that end, I wish they had more cable machines, which are more adaptable to individual ergonomics.

We went to cancel our membership effective immediately on 3/13 not because it was not a great gym but kid went to college. They still charged us for this month and the lady on the phone said it is because they cannot stop billing processed after 3/11. So I looked at the form where we cancelled and they were sneaky. They put 4/16/2025, so they will get another month of billing. Great gym, bad billing.

I used to love this place because it was clean and staff were super friendly and available....but all that has changed. There's never any hot water, no matter how long you wait. I waited 10 minutes at the counter to ask for a massage chair and just left cause no one ever came. The dressing rooms are dirty. Looks like no one cleans them it is gross. They always seem short staffed. The no hot water is a big issue now that it's cold outside. The place is going down bad.

UPDATE: The body odor stench has become unbearable. I barely go anymore and only keep my membership bc I travel a lot for work and use the gym in other cities. It’s truly repulsive and disgusting here because of the certain demographic that refuses to wear deodorant and the entire gym is now so smelly you can’t even go in there anymore.

Talked to management a few times and they’re more worried about offending people than making the gym an enjoyable experience for ALL, not just for people that are used to pungent body odor in certain developing countries. It is sickening. I suggested posting some signage, sending a member wide email, doing hourly or every few hours spraying Lysol and air freshener and said “they can’t”.

Original Review:
Very nice gym but there is a major problem with body odor from a certain demographic of members. The gym is aware of it but refuses to put their foot down about body odor. This group of people are notorious for smelling and not wearing deodorant.

I love the Leander location but that was something that was never fixed there. It’s even worse at the CP location and it’s so frustrating. Forget coming between 530pm-730pm - the gym is packed and the entirety of the gym has a rancid stench 👃.

Rather than worrying about people’s feelings and being “politically correct”, the staff needs to knock this down immediately before it becomes a sweaty constant stench.

Also the cardio equipment “beeps” when changing speed, elevation, really anything are SO LOUD. You can hear people going faster or slower with the beeping several machines over.

The architect didn’t give much thought to window placement. The only windows are all west facing so it’s very warm inside and there is a constant glare in your eye for most hours of daylight.

The gym overall is nice and as always the staff are very friendly. That’s something very consistent between this Cedar Park, Leander, and Georgetown locations. Great managers and assistant managers that are friendly and keep the gym clean. I do hope they police the gym floor more and correct people that scatter their belongings all over and hoard dumbbells. That is something that can easily be remedied with an every 15 minute “sweep” of the floor by staff.

I hope they can quickly put an end to the body odor problem, as well completely mute or significantly reduce the volume of the beeps on the machines.

The Planet Fitness at Whitestone and Ronald Reagan is clean and neat. The equipment is very good and kept clean as well. My only complaint is about one or two of the employees that don’t seem interested. This is one of the worst gyms I’ve ever joined, and I’ve been working out for 40 yrs. To cancel you have to go physically go the gym you joined, or your main gym? Whatever they can come me up with to keep receiving your money, which is ridiculous. They will not let you cancel over the phone or on the internet. My daughter joined the location in Round Rock. She tried to go back and cancel there, but was told she has to go to her main gym now, which in Lubbock where she goes to school. I will never join this gym, nor will I recommend it!

This location just opened up. It is not typically crowded like you would expect rt after New years. There are plenty of treadmills and weight equipment to use. Lots of working TVs. David at the front desk made the process easy and was kind enough to show me the rooms with massage chairs and explained how all the extra rooms work. Big help. Loved my first day. I'm excited to start my fitness journey.

I luv planet fitness, they have a large amount of work out gear! If u just want to walk on a treadmill, ride a bike, use any of weights! Each one has a different lay out an depending on how big it is depends on ur options! I luv it, but u know give it a try, it's for all ages! Should mention the staff is friendly an ready to help!!! Enjoy
