I like This PF. It is safety gym for all lady. There are many facilities and work out equipment which is new that I always enjoyed.
All staff are friendly and helpful.Thank you to Tim to introduce me to Francine my trainer, She knows what is she doing . She helps me achieve my goal. Lose weight and build muscle. Which is make me feel healthier and also sexier too. Highly recommended this PF!

I really enjoyed learning from Chloe—she is such a cool, funny, and motivational trainer! I’ve never had a personal trainer before, so it was a new and pleasant experience for me. I’d definitely recommend getting a trainer if you want to learn more about the different machines/exercises/nutrition you can benefit from.

I’ve been a member of PF for a while now and have recently switched to this location for the last handful of months. Not only is the facility well equipped and clean, but what makes this location even better is my trainer Chloe! She is hands down the best trainer I’ve ever come across at any gym. (And I’ve been a member at pretty much every commercial chain gym in the country). She is super knowledgeable on all things training and nutrition and her schedule is very flexible. She has taken my fitness to a level I never thought I could reach. Would highly highly recommend visiting this location and working with Chloe to reach your goals. Trust me when I say this, you will not regret it!! Chloe is phenomenal.

Probably the best PF in the area, i like it even more now after the switch from TFF. Staff is friendly and the gym is always cleaner than it was under TFF. There is always space for a good workout and that is what i like most as it is very spacious. This location cannot compare to any others for me personally! The newly renovated spa is also very useful, i hope we get saunas soon 👀

This gym needs help. There are lockers in the locker room that are broken, the staff isn’t friendly and the equipment needs to be serviced. Example: the assisted dip machine has been broken for more than a month and when i asked when it was going to be fixed the front desk told me that “even though it’s broken people can still do dips on it.” “Just not assisted dips.” So i guess that means never. Sounds like a liability though.🤔

This location is still under construction, and probably should have delayed opening.
The ventilation is about half what it should be, and absolutely sweltering if you're moving faster than a slow walk between machines.

I genuinely look forward to every visit to Planet Fitness. I have been going consistently for the last 2 months. The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a wide variety of machines — so I never have to wait to get started on my workout. The atmosphere lives up to its promise of being a "Judgement Free Zone" — you can feel it the moment you walk in.
What really sets this location apart is the staff. They’re consistently friendly, considerate, and go out of their way to make you feel valued from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. When I first joined, I had a training session with Mark, and I can’t say enough good things about him. He took the time to understand my goals and crafted a personalized routine that fit my needs perfectly. Even now, he continues to check in, offer encouragement, and share helpful health tips — all while juggling a busy schedule.
I’m truly grateful for the supportive, professional environment at Planet Fitness.

Been a member since it was Texas Family Fit. They kept all the same equipment which was great. However, they don’t maintain the equipment at the previous standards. Machines are broken for months, knobs broken off then covered with duct tape, seat cushions ripped open, equipment squeaking. Never experienced these issues when it was Texas Family.

Everyone keeps crying about how “it’s not the same since Texas Family Fitness” — boo hoo. Let’s give credit where it’s due: the gym hasn’t really changed much besides the name. The equipment, the layout, the overall vibe? Still the same.
If anything, the equipment maintenance has actually improved. Things are getting taken care of more consistently now. The real issue? People misusing the machines and then blaming the gym. If you slam weights, don’t clean up after yourself, or treat equipment like it’s disposable — that’s not on Planet Fitness, that’s on you.
A lot of the loudest complainers probably only went to the gym once or twice a year anyway. If you actually showed up regularly, you’d see it’s still a solid, reliable gym — maybe even better now.

I don't know what these boujee people's problems are. You guys have a great staff, super friendly and helpful. Your facility has the most free weights of all the Planet Fitness hands down. If these other people want see a real train wreak of a Planet Fitness, go to the Galleria location on Alpha. You will be back, trust me!

Close to home. Enough equipment. Sometimes hard to get on a certain piece of equipment but that’s usually during the busy periods and is expected. I adjust my workout and move on.
The alternative is to buy stuff for the house. :/

Extremely unprofessional. Multiple duplicate billing charges without permission and refusal to give a refund. They will put random changes on your cc and will refuse to give you a refund. Seemed to be bent on scamming people then they tell you they can't refund. No support from corporate.

Terrible gym, don't join. Ever since it took over from Texas Family Fitness, it became dirty, unkempt, and not attended to. Many machines are broken, they don't always have anti bacterial wipes for the machines and often no paper towels. I heard they are going to open a massage room. It's so not worth joining for. It's just a really bad gym.

This was my gym for the last few years when it was Texas Family Fitness. It was recently bought out by Planet Fitness and in just a few months, it has multiple broken machines that go unfixed, pads are split on most machines and the exposed white foam has turned black from dirt and sweat, and now every machine is covered in dirt and hair from lack of cleaning as well as the turf area. Upon cancelling, I was told they are understaffed because it’s a big club.
How embarrassing that a national chain can’t handle basic upkeep. I’ll miss all the friends I made. Found Crunch Fitness and the machines are all functioning and clean. That’s all it takes. Avoid this club at all cost. You’ll get what you pay for.

I started with TFF toward the end of October, fully aware that I would be charged an annual fee every year. The charge hit my account at the end of November, and without any prior notice, we received an email stating that the gym had been taken over by Planet Fitness. Despite the abrupt transition and lack of communication, I decided to continue my membership since the location was convenient for me.
In January, when they asked members to sign a new membership agreement, I specifically spoke with someone at the front desk about my concern regarding the annual fee. That employee, who was the same person who originally signed me up in November, assured me that I wouldn’t be charged again. I trusted their word, but now, months later, I was charged again for almost the exact same amount. That employee probably is no longer working there, and now I’m stuck dealing with this mess.
The lack of transparency and accountability from this gym has been completely unacceptable. Over the past two days, I have spent hours making phone calls, only to be repeatedly routed in circles. After all the back-and-forth, I finally got to speak with the general manager, which turned out to be one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Instead of actually listening to my concerns, he kept cutting me off, talking over me, and dismissing my issue as if I was the problem. He repeatedly said, “We are having a discussion,” but in reality, he was just trying to shut me down rather than address my specific concerns.
To make matters worse, my calls kept getting disconnected while I was waiting to speak with him. On top of that, it was very clear he was trying to avoid speaking to me at all costs—he had the front desk staff handle my concerns instead of dealing with them himself. While the front desk employee I spoke with was polite and genuinely tried to help, he was simply not in a position to resolve the issue. It is unacceptable that the general manager pushed his responsibility onto someone else rather than doing his job.
This has been an absolute nightmare and by far the worst experience I have ever had with a gym. The lack of professionalism, communication, and customer service is beyond appalling. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if other members have been overcharged without their knowledge as well. I would strongly warn anyone considering this gym to stay far away.
I would love the opportunity to speak with the owner about this situation—if they even allow it—and I sincerely hope they see this review and reach out to me.

I am having the most ridiculous experience with the new management. The most unprofessional group of people I have witnessed. I had frozen my membership for 3 months back on 2/2/2025. I was not supposed to get charged from March onwards, until June 16th. I even received the confirmation email from them confirming that the account has been frozen. However, this month my account got charged twice. I called them several times to get this fixed. Every time a different person answers, acknowledges that there has been a mistake, and then says that the manager isn’t available so they would get his approval and resolve. But nothing has been done yet. I have called in the afternoon, early evening, late evening - at all possible times. Every time the manager is either on vacation, or having lunch, or left for the day. And in spite of multiple requests to arrange for a callback, I haven’t heard from the manager still. Close to $40 have been deducted from my account incorrectly, and the team has been nonchalant and not the least bit apologetic. As soon as I get back to the city, I will be canceling my membership.

One day to the next no classes, childcare, and all the good staff gone.
They refused to accept the last months fee we paid TFF when signing up (mind you we signed up a month before the transfer) They told us too bad - after months of asking about it and them pretending they would figure it out.
Today I asked and they said got rid of the resistance bands that everyone used to be able to use, said they are “only for trainers” all the sudden and machines are “out of order” a very long time….
The worst part: the only good thing in being a planet fitness is they are open 24 hours!!! This gym closes at 7pm on weekends like WHAT. Also, at least add the tanning and massage chairs all PF gyms have! They don’t even have that!
Anyway, as you can tell I’m annoyed. Not the front desk staffs fault though, they are ok but could be more understanding.

I had an amazing experience at this Planet Fitness location! From the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely respectful, kind, and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The layout of the gym was absolutely spectacular—everything was well-organized, spacious, and easy to navigate.
What really stood out was the incredible variety of machines available. From assisted weights to free weights, they had everything I needed for a complete workout. This location offered so much more compared to my home Planet Fitness, and I was truly impressed by the options.
Another huge plus was the cleanliness of the bathrooms and locker room area. The space was much larger than what I’m used to, offering plenty of room to change, shower, and get ready without feeling cramped. The showers were spotless, and everything was well-maintained, which made my experience even better.
I left feeling more motivated than ever and am seriously considering making the drive back here regularly just for the workout experience. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a top-notch fitness environment!

I totally understand the people’s frustration over this gym as it used to be Texas Family Fitness and now it’s operating under Planet Fitness franchise. But folks let’s be fair! This gym compared to other planet fitness places is above the norm. Actually it’s a blessing for pf black members who can really enjoy working out in a high end gym at this location. There might be some broken machines but it still has enough pros that made me enjoy every second of my workout. I just hope they don’t change their interior design to a normal pf gym because I believe a purple colored environment makes me finish my workout asap and get out of the gym instead of staying longer.

Not pleased with the change from TFF to PF. The facility is not as clean, especially the bathrooms. The equipment is not maintained as well (often there are missing carabiners needed to switch attachments on machines) The app also keeps insisting I at a backup payment method, which I will not do.

i’ve been going to planet fitness since i was a teenager and this is by far the worst front desk and staff i’ve ever had to waste my time dealing with. the lady at the front has the worst attitude ever. every single time i’ve gone in there. would rather be rude and have an attitude even go as far as walk away from you when needing service to try and prove a point rather than help out anyone. walked away from the desk when we tried getting a drink. careless always on their phones and they do anything to not help anyone even though at every other location i’ve gone to they’ve been able to help and do the things these people swear up and down they’re unable and incapable of doing. absolutely lazy and deplorable behavior. they clearly prefer to do anything other than their job there... the free weights are cool and all yet there is only one hydro bed out of two that works for some reason. always smells like wet dog by the stair masters every day it smells horrendous don’t understand why or how this is allowed. clearly management doesn’t give a single iota of care about the guest that come in to work out. better off being whatever gym it was before this one because the service here is bottom of the barrel. expectations were already low since it’s a planet fitness. you pay for convenience and you also pay for disrespectful staff members who care about nobody that walks in the door.

I had been with Texas Family Fitness for over a decade, and when they sold to Planet Fitness, I got no notice. It was a very unwelcome surprise, that was 12/16. Fast forward to 1/12 when I checked in, and now I'm told I needed to sign new membership documents and the window to keep my old price closed 2 days prior. Nobody had told me this even though they were more than happy to tell me to change my barcode. It more than doubled what I had been paying since 2014.
There is a reason Planet Fitness has the reputation it does in the fitness community. Any gym that markets itself as a "judgment free zone" yet has a lunk alarm is a cesspool of hypocrisy deeper than congress.

There wasn't a single paper towel in the entire building. After using the bathroom and washing my hands, I went to the front desk and after searching around for a few minutes they told me they just didn't have any and recommended I use the wet wipes for wiping down the equipment....

This Texas Family Fitness location was just taken over by Planet Fitness and immediately the negative impact was felt. The lack of gym etiquette has increased and the amount of broken machines matches that. TFF never had maintenance issues and almost instantly PF does-ON THE SAME MACHINES. There are not nearly enough sanitation wipes and the PF staff is too busy playing on their phones to notice. Get it together

I used to be a regular at this gym when it was TFF, but when it was bought they informed me I would have to renew the contract with Planet and it doesn't auto renew. However, I've been getting charged a monthly rate and it shows as planet fitness on my bank statement. I called multiple times to inquire about this and get either get my membership card since I've been charged money, or charged reverse. No answer, and when they ensured they would call me back no one calls back. I'm going to marked the charges as fraud.

The standards have dropped across the board—whether it's the cleanliness, equipment maintenance, or overall atmosphere. It’s clear the new management prioritizes cost-cutting over quality.
I gave it a fair chance after the transition, but the decline was impossible to ignore. I ultimately canceled my membership because the gym no longer delivers the value it once did. If you’re considering joining, don’t waste your time—this place is a shadow of what it used to be.

Previous gym was bought out by PF. There has been ZERO communication from Planet Fitness about the changeover, but they sure didn’t mind charging my credit card! Their signage and banners out front make them look desperate. Unfortunately I
will be leaving.
