White rock location thumbs down, who ever owns this gym now?? You need new employees that can be here on time on the weekends! We pay a monthly fee plus annual fee to work out this gym is never open on time 😡😡 !! With a heavy heart I decided to leave a review. I have coming to this location for about 4 years now. The cleanliness has declined tremendously in the last year. Today was my final straw as I walked into the womens bathroom and it was dirty. There was stuff all over the floor and stickers on the wall. Its also super common for the dressing room’s trashes to have dirty bloody pads and it reek's. I know it is other members lack of cleanliness to put blame on but man why are the womens dressing rooms also so filthy??? please do better on this its extremely disgusting and unacceptable

When I first started going to the gym it was always clean and the staff was very friendly. Recently the conditions of the gym have went down. The restrooms don’t stay clean they are not cleaned often and the locker room is the same way. You only have 2 stalls to use out of 4 because they have yet to be fixed. Personal trash can in the stalls always overflowing with trash. The managers aren’t that friendly but my main concern is the cleanliness of the gym.

One of the most enjoyable gym experiences The night crew is very hospitable and continues to bring in a welcoming and chill atmosphere. This has been my go to location for nearly 2 years now and I have yet to experience and issue with the facility. Primarily between 1 am to 4 am, the gym is near empty and provides and excellent environment to cultivate your body and mind into the you, you want to be! It's the best!! Planet Fitness has it all. There is machines for every part of your body. There's also lots of weights to build up your body and or physic. There's rows of treadmills. I really like the way they set up paper towels and spray cleaners stationed throughout the club for you to clean your machine after each use. That way you don't happen upon a machine with someone's sweat all over it. That can happen if someone forgets to clean up after themselves. That's bad. That happened to me last night. My butt got wet. That was gross! So people CLEAN UP after yourself. Anyway I had a great workout last night. They stay open till 10 pm.

I travel around the country for work. I like keeping my membership event when I'm not currently working so I will always have access to clean bathrooms and lounge area when I want. I couldn't make up my mind over Golds Gym or PF. I went with PF 3 years ago. I have been very satisfied until a few months ago. No matter what location I go to I can't get hot showers so I did a little research and I'm not the only one. If I understand correctly PF at all locations has changed the hot water heaters to stand-by mode after 30 mins of no use and requires a staff to reset. Don't know how true this is but I know there is never hot water now. I'll probably be switching to Golds Gym.

I like the way Planet Fitness is set up. I mean, for me as a senior citizen the weight machines are well balanced and safe. I would like to see free weight additions like a 'preacher curl bench' used for free weights. Just saying. I know that Planet Fitness has to be concerned about the safety of it's members first! But, I believe that this kind of equipment can be used safely.

I have tried to cancel many times literally only went 1 time to this gym and never went back because of how uncomfortable I was. They keep charging my card for a year now and I have not renewed when I went up to the place the manager wasn't in and was told I would get a call never did. Sloan is by far the best trainer I've had the pleasure of working with in my fitness journey while at Planet Fitness.

During some workouts, I just want to quit, but he's very encouraging and reassuring in a soft spoken manner, that keeps me pushing through!

Came here from Texas family fitness & golds… doesn’t have all the equipment, but it does a good job of keeping the BS out that you deal with there (kids in crocs, 8 people standing around in a “circuit” eating up 5 machines, people filming 24/7, etc)… and being able to just come workout is totally worth it.

Love the staff and the location. Paola needs a raise. She is the hardest working staff member. She cleans the workout floor, the machines, and the bathrooms. I have even seen her walk elderly members out to their cars for safety. The bathrooms are tricky though. I'm there almost everyday. I'm a business owner that doesn't always have time to go home for a shower. I stop in almost daily and I see this lady doing nothing but cleaning. The bathrooms can get pretty nasty and they are super hard to keep up with. You can't imagine the amount of nasty the staff has touch. There are a few staff members that, I hate to say, are pretty lazy. One guy is always always always on his phone, never greets members, and is not working at all. He could help Paola clean honestly. I see EVERYTHING but choose to leave such matters to management and stick to working out. I don't want anyone to get in trouble. I see the hardest working staff members reprimanded and the lazy staff continue to be lazy. With that said, I love this gym. I feel welcomed and relaxed. The afternoon and evening shift staff are wonderful as well.

Overall pretty good for a planet fitness. The only major complaint I have is people use the 30 min. circuit training area and don’t actually do the circuit. All the machines in that area are specifically for the circuit training, and every machine that is in that area is also in the main area. The only reason people do this is because the other machines are busy, so they takeover the entire circuit training area and don’t do the circuit. And planet fitness employees only tell people not to if I go and ask them too. Because I have had people yell at me when I’ve told them it is the circuit area. Unfortunately I don’t want to have to fight ignorant jerks every time I want to do circuit training, and this could be alleviated fairly easily if the employees would remind people that it is for circuit training as they walk around the gym. They have a lunk alarm to make people fell more “comfortable” but then refuse to enforce the circuit area? So how comfortable can I be having to do the employees job for them just to get in a workout?

After spending the morning pounding at a keyboard and not exercising anything but my mousing muscles, I took a break for a workout. I stopped here and enjoyed my time. In the late morning, the place was barely occupied. There was no one joining me on the 30 minute circuit so no distractions, just lifting and twisting and stepping.

Back to the locker room and a shower. This is where it went less than ideal. As my shower continued, the hot water cut out. That was disappointing. As for the physical components of the shower, I love the glass door partition. That was pretty awesome but there were no hooks and nowhere to put my stuff. I ended up dragging over a chair from one of the the changing rooms.

Not sure I would return to this one. It needs some help. And yes, I did mention the hot water to the club attendant - he said they're working on it.

The staff are questionable. They somewhat like their job. However, as a black card member they all need to rethink the ugly attitude. I am a public Figure. As a white, Caucasian, Christian lady who represens the USA and world, it amazes me when certain people at a gym should never be working there if he or she despises whit people. In summary, the owner needs to understand the ugly attitude of the front desk

I really was contemplating switching gyms but I absolutely love my home location here at WHITE ROCK; especially under new management with JORGE he’s very nice ; patient & kind . I immediately notice a positive change since he’s been here . I like to come in ; check in & workout ! And nothing interferes with this ; the staff is great aside from a couple young lady’s in the afternoon that work the counter who you can tell really doesn’t like doing their job ; but the less you have to interact with them the better I recommend going in the mornings ! I wanna give a big thank you to Payola and Enriqua (spell check) as well they’re awesome & always busy around the gym when I see them really deserve a raise.

After being a Planet Fitness customer for 3 1/2 years, I have to say that I am very disappointed! They charged me a $15 late fee because my bank checking account was unable to honor this monthly payment due to a system error. They had the option of getting the payment from my credit card, which information they already had as a secondary payment method. It is called a service fee, but there was no "service" to notify me of the unsuccessful payment because they have "too many customers". I paid most of my monthly and annual dues with a debit card instead of a credit card because I thought it was clearly more advantageous for Planet Fitness. I was playing a win-win game because they have good and affordable plans. Based on my history of being a good payer, I asked for the "good faith" clause that is included in the contract. But they didn't accept it. They just want the money. "Business is business," they might say!

This gym is DISGUSTING I’m a truck driver and often come to planet fitness for showers the showers are ALWAYS nasty hair dirt and gunk ask one employee how often do they clean them she said every two days ! This was my last straw a 2 whole bandages been sitting in the same shower for 4 days !!!! Since using the showers I’ve had dark marks form on my body! Even the overnight employees will sit outside smoking weed rather than cleaning up ! I could only imagine what the men’s look like in there IVE BEEN TO PLENTY OTHER PFS AND NEVER HEARD OR SEEN ANYONE ONLY CLEAN THE SHOWERS ONCE EVERY TWO DAYS I’ll be contacting the BBB and everyone else I can this is a EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD SOMEONE CAN GET SICK FROM THIS NEGLIGENCE even the changing rooms have hair and gunk since I been here for two months ! I literally have to go on the floor and get y’all’s cleaning solution or run to dollar tree to my own this is absolutely ridiculous the couple times I did work out the equipment was sweaty which is fine ig but not if only 2 other people is in there and the employees are outside smoking 😂I can easily go somewhere else BUT ITS ABOUT THEM DOING THEOR JOB ! I’ve been coming here consistently for the last couple years and sum…Lauren and da rest of da staff have always made me feel comfortable I really like everyone here it’s pretty kool environment the staff is always cleaning that’s a big big big bonus for me bathroom and showers are normally being cleaned but me personally I would prefer to a light smell of bleach and air freshener/ disinfecting spray to guarantee the cleanest 🙂….But employees are always cleaning up they are all nice ….Machines are all good I would like to see a boxing bag 🥊 hanging somewhere that’ll be nice and could also start swapping out the workout mats get some new ones in different color I prefer blue or maybe even y’all’s color purple and take the old ones out hv them professionally cleaned.
