There is a leg extension piece of equipment here that has worn upholstery that is very uncomfortable on the opposite side of the knee as one lifts their legs up to make the extension and it has been this way for months. One word: HOMELESS.

This Planet Fitness is located in a rough part of town. As soon as you pull up, you're greeted by the homeless population near the facility and across the street. There have been three incidents involving homeless individuals acting violently or erratically outside the building. I'm not sure why this isn’t being brought up more in these reviews. Unfortunately, I’ll have to cancel my membership, as I no longer feel safe coming to this location.

I think it’s fraud.
I joined on 2/9/25 for the “low” monthly payment of $25, and now a few months later it’s over $250 I owe.

When I call the home gym it’s all in Spanish, they don’t even have an option for English language, so It’s hard to get someone.
Plus the payment is direct with your bank account and routing number so even though my card is locked they still charge me.

I just canceled my bank account I’ve had for many years just because of planet fitness billing. It’s the only way to get them to stop.

Furthermore, the amount I get charged Keep changing.
Sometimes it’s $27 sometimes it’s $57 sometimes it’s over $100.
PF sucks they get money with and “we gotcha sucker!” method.
I didn’t even use it more than one month and they can see that.

used to be my favorite planet fitness. then had an incident involving a guy opening my shower and trying to grab me. tried to report it as the guy stayed in the shower area for another 10 mins until i texted my girlfriend to get an employee in there. then they asked me if i was mistaken! idk how i can mistake someone trying to grab my privates while the only shower was in use and it was the last one so he had to walk all the way past 3 empty ones. no mistake here. made a police report but haven’t come back due to this, and them not banning him from that location.

Good equipment and atmosphere. They brought in 3 new machines tgat are great for the calves, chest and legs. Staff is friendly, hopefully they'll hire more. I like the training staff as well. I was using the stall farthest from the MAN CLEANING THE LADIES LOCKER ROOM and he made it his business to come clean the stall on the other side of the restroom directly next to me.
Another woman has told me and my friend not to even use the restroom while she was cleaning it.
Its crazy to me. I go here every day at the same time with the same regulars mostly
But they can’t make their cleaning time at a less busy time or even respect the clients enough to even give them space in there!
It’s already bad that the locker room is silent so it’s uncomfortable to even use the restroom sometimes because everything echoes so loudly on top of having to have a warning sign that a man is in there cleaning at peak hours.

I've been a Planet Fitness member for about five years and never had any issues until I switched my home gym due to moving. The employees at this location have been dishonest. I informed a staff member that I was experiencing financial hardship, and they assured me they would freeze my account. On January 17, 2025, I spoke with an employee who told me no further payments would be taken from my account and that I was covered until May.

Despite this, not only was $35 withdrawn from my account, but an additional $42 was taken on January 23. This was money I needed for bills, and I had already been told that no further charges would occur. When I called customer service to resolve the issue, I was told I had to dispute the charges in person.

I went to the gym and spoke with the manager, Jamie, who acted as if he was willing to help. He assured me he had my back and would do his best to get my money refunded. He asked me to call back on Monday, claiming the ABC Planet Fitness line was busy. However, when I followed up, I found out he had done nothing and never even contacted anyone to assist with my situation.

It's truly disappointing that, despite communicating my hardship, they pretended to help while continuing to withdraw money I already couldn’t afford to lose.

On or about the 16th of October 2024 manager Jaime quickly replaced a damaged pad on curl equipment after being informed about the unsanitary matter. Said manager went beyond the call of duty by replacing the pad after stating that a work order had been in place for replacement. Such facility can only be complimented for utilizing sanitary issues. Most importantly, said behavior of the manager is likely the reason why the staff is so professional with keeping the gym sanitized. I personally thank you guys very much for your sanitary focus at planet fitness.

Great place to exercise with others and not feel embarrassed. Great staff, location is perfect for me. It can get crowded during certain times of days but all these Planet Fitness do. I've visited this location several times when I'm in the area. Lots of parking spots and plenty of handicap ♿️ parking as well. I recommend this location even though the area may not be that upscale. People are friendly and not too upscale. Alot of single people go here and I've seen many people meet there and discuss going out on a date. Machines are wiped down and kept clean and sanitized.

What does it take to fix damaged equipment!!?? I asked someone to put an order in to fix this 3 weeks ago. Nothing done. Not even marked “out of order.” There are wires in this cushion that cut me, last time. Update: finally got that cushion fixed. I’ve lowered my rating to 1 star, though, because today, while I was on the stair machine, a big panel fell off of the side and hit the ground. It was loud enough that heads turned. So I tell the front desk guy (same lethargic guy that never does anything about equipment complaints), he says “ok” and then just goes back to leaning on the counter. Someone from management needs to have a conversation with him.

I use to really enjoy working out here! Never had a problem all of the years I’ve been a PF client (in several different states). However, the new GM Johnny is real piece of work. He comes off very entitled. I witnessed him act prejudicially towards a young Black client who was being harassed by an older white male. I thought management should have handled the situation way better. Considering, the man launched her backpack across the gym and lunged at her with gym equipment. I was later told she was removed from the gym because she was using three different pieces of equipment. I then noticed the man who harassed her for using 3 pieces of equipment…proceed to do the same thing. Johnny still berating the young lady…failed to address the man for how he treated her. It really broke my heart to see one young lady be approached by 4 men Anyway, I will never come back here. Hope that young lady is ok. Wish I would have stuck up for her. Johnny should be seriously reprimanded for his behavior that day.I have been hesitant to say anything but I still think about the fact I didn’t defend her. Every time I saw Johnny thereafter he has not greeted me but will greet those around me.

There are many positive aspects worth highlighting. The staff is friendly, the gym itself is consistently clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment for workouts.

However, I’ve noticed an issue that has been affecting my experience. Some members do not seem to be considerate when it comes to sharing equipment. Recently, I have encountered people who have taken four different weight sets out of the rack, which is particularly problematic given that the gym only has two sets of each weight. This makes it difficult for others to access the equipment they need in a timely manner.

While I understand that everyone has their own pace and workout routine, it would be beneficial if there were guidelines in place to ensure more considerate behavior. Perhaps the gym could implement some form of regulation or have staff monitor the floor more frequently to remind members to be mindful of others.

Overall, I enjoy this gym and believe that addressing this issue would greatly enhance the experience for all members.

The GM smokes weed in the parking lot with the staff members, don't ask the staff to put their phones down to actually to their jobs, they hardly ever even look up to see who is coming and going, cars in parking lot get broken into almost daily, the machines stay broken for months, the restrooms are disgusting, both urinals have bags over them so I guess they think these dirty lil hamsters aren't going to pee in the sinks or in the showers, I'm pretty sure by the fur ball that was on my gym bag that they don't even comprehend what a broom is... This planet fitness needs to have more control over the 30-minute workout room. People are coming over here working on one machine grunting and slamming weights and nobody says anything. I work through five machines three sets each and the same guy was at the chest press machine for over 10 minutes hogging that machine and that's the only machine he used. There have been many other times where people just hang out on these machines, talking socializing, and work just one and hog it for everyone else it defeats the purpose. Man let me tell you bout that train JAIME!! He know his stuff and know how to target any muscle you are trying to target form delts and back he will get a great training session. Best of all the training sessions are free too with your membership. Definitely patient and listens to what you need help with. The gym is also clean and the staff are never rude at all. The gym is what you expect from planet fitness. The reason for the rating is their cancellation policy which no one told me. I signed up for an all club pass because I used it when I was traveling regularly.

I tried to cancel online with no option. So I called to cancel and they told me I had to come in which already is shady.

Then when I went out of my way to go into one of their locations to cancel they told me it was her wrong location and I had to go back to the original location to cancel which is not near where I live now. My only remaining option is to send a cancellation letter by certified mail. Unreal the lengths they’ll go to in order to milk you for extra months. Terrible customer service.

Usually I love this location. Today I wasn’t allowed to check in and tan because I wasn’t at my home location. I was here two days ago tanning and had no problems. I have been to many PF locations in Texas, Colorado, Washington, & Oklahoma. Whoever is running this set of locations are terrible. Showers are cold, not clean, wifi doesn't work, massage chair is broken, and when you mention to staff about issues, they just dump excuses.

I tried to cancel my membership. I set it up in a different state last year. I came in two days ago. They said they would transfer it to this location. I came in today around 630 p.m., and the guy at the counter told me to Google it. Yall should be able to transfer my membership. Seriously?
