It’s disappointing to see the gradual decline in quality at this gym. The most recent example is the removal of hair dryers from the men’s locker room — a basic amenity that added convenience for members. Small downgrades like this add up and make the overall experience feel less premium than it once was. I hope management reconsiders and restores the standard of service that originally set this gym apart from other locations.

It has been a long time and Planet Fitness still doesn't understand how to fix their AC or install fans to at least circulate the air in here. It would help so much but instead they decided to get floor AC units that are likely adding their own heat to the issue and possibly tripping breakers..

Nice staff, clean facilities, it would be almost perfect if the place had a few fans in there. I don't understand how you can have a gym without moving air circulation, because those air conditioning Vince are only keeping things cool up in the air and not helping anybody on the ground.

Planet fitness, can you please look into some fans mounted in the corners or up top? I sweat pretty much the moment I get on a machine compared to anywhere else I've worked out before.

The AC is STILL out after all this time and I’m shocked that after all of our complaints they won’t just get it fixed. Honestly they should not be operating at this location at all because working out in super high temps isn’t even safe. It was 91 degrees outside and it was likely hotter inside. I had to end my workout early because I couldn’t bear the heat. ALSO, they don’t even have one of those large ceiling fans that every other location has. Could they at least temporarily provide box fans or SOMETHING? They are acting like it’s totally normal. Also, this location is continually dirty even before the AC went out, and things are not kept up well. Something needs to be done. I’m not going back until they fix the AC problem because I couldn’t last longer than 25 minutes in there.

UPDATE 6/17/25: Aaaaand the AC is broken again. The front desk, through no fault of their own, said they have no update at all on the AC.

Previous update: AC has finally been fixed. Many machines are still broken and the music is too loud.

The AC hasn't been working for at least a month. I don't mean that it's not efficient or that they set the temperature too high. The AC is legitimately BROKEN. It's unbearable. I spoke with the front desk and they don't even have an estimate on when it will be fixed. I'm sure it's caused a few people to cancel their membership, and I'm leaning that way myself. I don't usually leave reviews but I'm posting this here in the hopes that management sees this and fixes the AC.

I love this place. It is relatively small which means I can get in and get out. Come in at a time where there's not too many people, as they do have enough equipment, but it can get crowded. I've been coming to this gym for about 4 years now. The past few months it's become almost unbearable to go because the AC is clearly out. It makes it hot, humid, and disgusting even when it's only a handful of people working out. I asked the front desk, and they said it's working. It seems like the owner is being cheap and doesn't want to fix it, and is telling the employees to gaslight the customers by saying everything is fine. Currently the thermostat is set at 61 and the temperature reading is showing 79. It is 10 pm on a Sunday, and theres only about 15 people here. It should not be like this. Please get it fixed ASAP, or you will probably lose a lot of members.

Big ole roach/water beetle beside the massage chairs.
Every machine has rust around the handles.
The cleaning stations paper towel holders are so rusted when you get one off it sways like it’s gonna fly off.

The gym is extremely small and has a very limited selection of strength and functional equipment. Nearly half of the space is dedicated to cardio machines like treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals—which are used, but never all at the same time. It doesn’t make sense to have so many of them, especially when that space could be better used for more versatile equipment. During peak hours, the gym becomes overcrowded, and it’s hard to find an available machine in the strength area. There's barely enough room to move around comfortably. The layout feels inefficient and unbalanced.

I get it. It’s the cheapest gig in town. But dang. Equipment is old and in bad shape. A lot of weights for the machines are missing the actual weight on it so you can’t tell how much you’re lifting.

The first day I had some try to break into my car. When speaking with other members they told me that someone broke into their car and that their stuff was stolen from their lockers.

All in I was less then two weeks a member and I cancel my membership and had to pay $58 fee. Never again planet fitness. lol.

Men’s bathroom always smells FOUL. I understand it’s a locker and a shower room but it shouldn’t smell like a sewer room everyday. There has to be an issue with plumbing. I’ve been here at least 10 times and every time it smells the same. Also, all of the machines are way too close together. Everyone is on top of eachother. Gym is way too small for the traffic it gets. Gym could definitely use some updating and upgrading.

I wasn’t going to write a review on this because I’ve been with planet fitness for about 3/4 years and I never had a complaint until now. I’ve gone about 5 different times all different times I was told, this past week I went & the manager talked to me I don’t remember her name but she a skinny Hispanic lady with semi blonde hair. I’ve tried to go from black card membership to a regular membership but I’m always told it’s not the right time so the day I went I tried to just in total cancel my membership in frustration but she proceeded to say I would have to pay because I didn’t have a contract when I clearly did. I was told I had to go to the location to where I got the membership if I wanted to get anything about it done. I went this Tuesday to the location near Webb chapel and the lady there was so helpful, nice & willing to to do her job. She told me I did have a contract and could cancel at anytime at any location without paying so I did. I was fuming knowing the lady at your store wouldn’t even bat an only mentioning I had to pay. If I would give 0 stars for customer service I would. She wasn’t even rude she nor none of the other kids there seem to want to do there job let alone barely even look at the computer screen to even give me correct info super unprofessional. W employee for the Webb chapel location I wish I could say the same for this location👎🏻

Updated review- I originally posted about 8 months ago about my dismay over the seemingly lack of maintenance re- the showers and changing area at this location. I received a reply from the owners quite promptly communicating their concern s we ugh a suggestion that any issues be addressed locally as they had a commitment to service and an urgency to addressing such issues.
HA! What a load of BS! I am no longer disappointed, I am now insulted and actively dismayed. You seriously offered “lip service” as to your concern and I assumed action would follow… it is at least 8 months later and NOTHING ! I have visited on average once a month or so and the issues I originally pointed out I.e., the shower head being held together by a bag is now creatively tied up with a black string. The lock on 2 of the 3 changing rooms have been removed leaving the rooms without a way for the door to be securely closed. Quite frankly, this is unacceptable! The fact that you feigned concern then simply ignored the issue is off putting. In my opinion… I would not recommend this location at all. I am downgrading my initial rating from 3 to 1. You only have a business if you have clientele. If this is the way you treat your clientele you have a problem. Super disappointed and insulted.

I get that this is an “older” location… but, you must keep things up! The shower heads in the women’s locker room were caked with hard water deposits to the point that water doesn’t spray properly, the handicap shower head was cleverly tied up with a bag… yes, someone had gone to the trouble to tie it up with a bag so it could be used. Cleaver, yes. Appropriate NO! Come on Mr/Mrs Franchisee, fork out the $100 and purchase 4 shower heads that work! No excuse for not taking care of simple, cheap items. 🤔🙄😏

Whoever is writing these 5-star reviews is likely friends with the manager or owner of this facility. This Planet Fitness is far too small to handle the number of members that come throughout the day. Every time I check the crowd meter on the planet fitness app or Google, it says it’s not busy, but when I arrive 10 minutes later, the gym is packed! It’s a mix of teenagers and adults, and there’s no space to work out or get on a machine. It feels like being packed in like sardines. I canceled my membership. They don’t care why someone cancels because they’re making money based on sheer volume, regardless of the poor experience. This gym is completely overcrowded!

The equipment is all old, rust, worn out, buttons don't work, too many are out of order every day to get an uninterrupted work out in. Owners aren't replacing old inoperable equipment. Shame on you.

I am changing my review. It was five stars. Now it's one. For months now the air conditioning has not really worked. That was fine in the cooler months, but it's been in the 90s now end even when the place is almost empty it's too hot and there's dead air. It's uncomfortable and unpleasant.. I mean the fact is I won't be able to work out here anymore, because they are just not getting it fixed I'm shocked that they would wait this long. My recent experience makes me think twice about coming back here. This location removed my items out of my locker and the management did not notify me until afterwards and they cut my expensive lock. She told me that they had a sign on the wall but there was no sign. It was very disrespectful to just remove without giving me the opportunity to respond first. They need to atleast replace my lock. I came here for a morning workout before brunch and when I walked in I noticed it was very muggy and hot. The gym was much smaller than what I am use to. Always clean and equipment working!

Planet Fitness makes for a very good gym that will facilitate a full body, intense, workout.

Until someone can rack every machine (including the plate-loaded machines) for a good form set of 8 reps, don't knock it. Even then, don't knock it. Fitness journeys have different starting, middle and ending points.

Staff pays attention to their setting. Decent parking, although I get worried when I workout a little over an hour as there is a 2-hour time limit on parking. Not a problem for most, unless you're really feeling it that day.

Recent upgrades to equipment and areas. You have several options for a more private area to workout, which is helpful for new gym goers or those that want a quieter focus on their routine.

Plenty of variety here in terms of machines and dumbbells (up to 75lbs. - which is just fine for most). This location has 4 Smith machines for those looking to squat, bench, row, etc. Plenty of plates if you want to lift heavy/heavier.

A great beginners gym to intermediary. Even for the advanced fitness person, you can hit your muscles at different angels or be forced to get creative at Planet Fitness.

Always a good option and terrific if you are Black Card as you can visit any Planet Fitness and enjoy the free massages.

I hate that the MAJORITY of the time I'm at this gym (usually 4 days a week) there is A MAN WORKING IN THE WOMENS LOCKER ROOM! Not an exception to the rule, this is most days I'm here. BEWARE OF THE PARKING-
I will start with the reason I cancelled my membership, the parking area is not the greatest, it is essentially guest parking for the apartments above the gym so that means you have random traffic in and out of there. Yesterday morning between 3-330a someone tried to steal my car from there causing $1000 in damage and about $500 in stolen items, the sad part is where my car was you could see the front doors and glass into the gym. While I was waiting on the police, who never showed up, there was a car that made 3 loops through the parking garage, looking at me each time. When I went to ask the staff about possible cameras he informed me that they are the apartments, not theirs and then proceeded to mention that not long ago 8 cars were broken into.

This morning when I stopped in to cancel my membership, there were a couple of random people sitting in their cars, being that it is usually the same 5 people in the gym that early I didnt recognize them. My broken window is still in the first spot next to the wall as you enter the garage from the circle drive

The Gym itself is okay, older but for $10 a month it gets the job done. The bathroom stalls are DISGUSTING, smells like urine, there is usually toilet paper all over the floor, and this part is on the members using it... most of the time, the toilets are not flushed, or pee all over the seat.

Every year I've been renewing my membership paying everything all at once. I do not want to give out my bank account information. I have money to give so I can workout and I get turned away because I don't want Planet Fitness to take money out of my account monthly. Planet Fitness provides a place to exercise of you have money and I sat I have that money right now and I hear, "sorry we can't do that our policy won't allow you to do that." This is a smaller, older Planet Fitness. That is both good and bad.

They have all of the basic equipment, so no worries there.

The locker room has actual metal lockers as opposed to the wood particle board found in newer locations. I consider this a plus. I will also say the locker room seems to be cleaner than most PF locations.

There are no changing rooms.

The showers are very cramped. The mount for the shower head in the handicap stall is broken at the time of this review. Water pressure and temperature are good.

They actually have paper towels in the sink area. I consider this a plus. Most newer PF locations only have the air dryers.

As with most PF locations, the patrons don't always follow the rules and the staff don't seem to enforce the rules.

They all need greasing and maintenance. One of the machines in the 30 minute express circuit was out of order. I wasn’t surprised given the condition of the other machines. In the women’s locker room, towel hooks were broken off and there were no shelves in the showers to put toiletries on. The lockers are see through so I didn’t feel secure leaving my bag, and they are also somehow too small to fit a regular sized gym bag in. This club is in a nice location. Hopefully Planet Fitness will put some time and money into maintaining this club going forward.

I visited this place once in a week and I always have some arguments with the spanish guy! He wants to give me 5 minutes only in the massage chair! All the PF that I visited give me 10 minutes in the hydrobed and also 10 minutes in the chair massage! So, what's happening in this place? Also, the place is not crowded Managers give training to this young guy! This is the four time that I have delays in this place.There is a competency! Take care of the several years black card members! Give some goods instruction to this ignorant youngsters!

They do not care about you. The managers and owners are obnoxious. They do not respect you. They took money from me several times over the course of my membership without asking for permission. They always had a good excuse to do it like "I don't understand what happened" or "it should not have been this way". The real problem start when you want to regularize and need to talk to somebody then the nightmare starts. You will have to deal with a lot of disrespect. That is their business model in general, search on Google and look at the reviews and why they have been sued in the past. The management at this location is unethical employing young manager with no customer service skills and respect for their clients. At the end you have what you pay for. Do not listen to their fake reply at the bottom of this.

A lil crowded during the week evenings but that's expected due to the size and location. Weekends are perfect! Love the stairmasters at this location, the fans ❤️! Always clean, smells fresh upon entrance, and friendly staff.

It has been more than three weeks since I requested a machine to get fix and still waiting. I strongly believe that it was just the belt came off so, it is a quick fix. Why the wait! Give the tools and I will fix it myself.

They charged me for trying to workout with my sister. And the sociopaths that lift there think taking an hour on of the only 3 bars is somehow fair to other members especially when they spend 90% of the time on their phone. Use the one in Plano instead if you can and spare yourself the trouble

I recently canceled my membership after being a member for six long months, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of frustrating. This gym has demonstrated a complete lack of understanding when it comes to dealing with its members. From the inadequate member service to the constant overcrowding, it was an overall disappointment.

First and foremost, the gym staff seemed completely clueless about how to handle member concerns and provide satisfactory assistance. Whenever I approached them with questions or issues, they appeared uninterested and unhelpful. Their lack of knowledge and commitment to member satisfaction was truly appalling. It felt like they were simply going through the motions, without any real understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service.

Additionally, the overcrowding at this gym was a constant headache. Each time I visited, I found myself waiting for long periods just to access the equipment I needed for my workout. It was incredibly frustrating and counterproductive to have to waste precious time waiting for someone to finish their sets. The gym seemed to have no effective system in place to manage the high number of members, resulting in an unpleasant and chaotic environment.

Furthermore, the gym management seemed completely indifferent to the overcrowding issue. There were no efforts made to address this problem, such as implementing a reservation system or expanding the gym's facilities. It felt as though they were more focused on attracting new members than providing a quality experience for the existing ones.

Overall, my experience was highly disappointing. The staff's lack of knowledge and commitment to member satisfaction, coupled with the constant overcrowding, made it impossible for me to continue my membership. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining this gym to think twice before committing their time and money. There are certainly better options available that prioritize member experience and offer a more conducive workout environment
