While I do enjoy the gym it does need a updating .Paper towel holders are old and should be auto touch-less.My last visit one paper towel holder was on the floor came off the wall they always have there paper towels sitting on top of the trash cans ...it is extremely busy and should be kept up for sanitary reasons. One thing I can say is the woman's BR is clean just have one sink that needs repair I have reported this but still an issue ....hope it gets addressed .

I'm incredibly disappointed with the recent changes at Planet Fitness, specifically the new policy allowing children and teens into the gym, seemingly without adequate supervision. My experience has rapidly deteriorated, leading me to seriously consider canceling my membership.
The most glaring issue is the sheer number of unsupervised minors. The majority of these kids are clearly not with an adult, and even when an adult is present, there's a distinct lack of supervision. This isn't just an annoyance; it's a safety concern, both for the younger members themselves and for other gym-goers.
Beyond the supervision issue, the overcrowding has become unbearable. The gym is now frequently swamped with these younger individuals, making it difficult to access equipment and creating a chaotic atmosphere. What's more, the presence of "ego lifter" teens directly contradicts Planet Fitness's much-touted "judgment-free zone". These kids often take up multiple machines, aren't always mindful of others, and their behavior can make the space feel intimidating and unwelcoming, particularly for older members who value that non-judgmental environment.
When I brought up my concerns, I was essentially told to "come at a later time." This response is completely unacceptable. As a paying adult member, I shouldn't be pushed out and forced to adjust my schedule to accommodate a transient wave of summer-only gym-goers. It feels like Planet Fitness is prioritizing short-term teen memberships over the experience and loyalty of their established adult members who are committed to their fitness journey year-round.
I joined Planet Fitness for a comfortable and accessible workout environment, and it has become anything but. This new policy has significantly diminished the value of my membership, and it's frustrating to feel like I'm being displaced to make way for a demographic that likely won't be around once school starts back up. Unless this policy is re-evaluated and proper supervision is enforced, I cannot recommend Planet Fitness.

I travel the US for work and so I frequent many PF across the country. I've not had much of a negative experience until this week when going to this gym twice and the AC has been broken both times or they just flat out keep it at 78 degrees. The gym is absurdly hot, to the point you might as well be out in the Texas heat. Second, I asked the front desk if I could leave my glasses with them, but the young boy looked at me like I was asking him to take care of my newborn child, just staring at me. After asking the third time, he finally took them reluctantly. Then to top the night off, I was using a standing tanning booth and the girl at the front walked in on me getting re-dressed. She didn't see anything but I was irritated because the door to my room was still closed and she didn't knock or anything but barged on in. Since the doors are left open after someone leaves or the rooms are clean, I didn't understand why she came in literally within 1-2 minutes of my timer finishing. Also, I did not capture a picture (to abide by rules of PF), but the trash cans in the gym at cleaning stations were overflowing with paper towels. There might be scheduled rounds times to empty the cans, but if it's full then just change it instead of all the trash now spilling onto the floor for hours. I has used the other Pasadena, TX location without issues, but this week I tried this location for convenience and boy was that a mistake.

Talk to the manager about this disgusting water fountain ask her if she would drink out of it and she didn't answer me. All she said was I will write a work order. Oh yeah that looks terrible sorry about that. Very cold and unfriendly demeanor. People talk extremely loud on their phones for like 10 minutes straight and disrupt everybody in the whole Gym. Play do nothing about it. They allow one guy consistently walk around with his shoes off. And they all just sit at the front desk talking to each other while all the stuff is going on and they don't pay attention to anything..

Went back today it was in the exact same condition or worse I talked to the same person again and then she she said she was the manager on my last visit she referred me to a new manager who said they would take care of the problem just like the last three people I told. The whole machine needs to replace please don't drink out of this unless you want to get sick 🤢 it is disgusting and they don't seem to care about it..

I moved back into Texas and they said I couldnt bring my guest in because we needed to update everything. 30 minute lunch workout but ok I guess. We update it. Everythings ok for that day. Next time my wife and I go back same situation. Ok we just want to use the services we pay for without hassle. The other gym I was using let me scan in myself and my guest with a simple black card swipe. No issues ever. They wanted my wife to download the app and update our profile again. I explained I didnt want to deal with this everytime we try to workout as we have a small time window. I canceled my membership immediately. Bullcrap. You want a 5 star review from me? 1. The few staff members that I’ve met, Lillie B., and Lindsay, are both amazing! So friendly and informative. They are what I first see when I walk in the front door and I feel welcome! 😊

3. Then I get to end my experience with the best massage I’ve ever had in the Hydro Massage!

I have an autoimmune disease that causes debilitating chronic pain in my joints including my spine. I’ve dealt with chronic fatigue syndrome for decades. And recently overwhelming stress and depression.
I joined Planet Fitness one week ago today and since I’ve been coming to the gym, almost every day, I feel better physically, emotionally and I have more energy than ever! I can’t work out as long or lift as many weights as everyone else but I just keep moving. And I’ve slept better at night, even with the stress and depression.
Right now, I’m thanking God, my family, my friends AND planet fitness! ❤️

RIDICULOUS...

This is my first time visiting since I signed up a couple days ago and I'm beyond frustrated. I work out late like 10 pm - 1 am for reference.

There is a worker here but I have only seen him twice coming out of the back room. He clearly hates his job because there is no warm welcome or literally any small talk...just the number of the room. That's fine, not everyone wants to talk. But the phones keep ringing and I've waited almost 30 minutes total to use the spa amenities that I signed up for! I didn't even get to do what I wanted before I got fed up and left. I'm using that wasted time to write this review because something needs to change.

There is a sign that says the facility is monitored by cameras but who's looking at the tapes of the front desk that clearly shows NO ONE up there doing their job?? You're paying someone to sleep. I wasn't the only one frustrated and waiting either.

PLEASE FIX THIS FOR PEOPLE WHO COME LATE AT NIGHT AND PAY THE SAME PRICE AND SHOULD GET THE SAME EXPERIENCE AS DAYTIME PEOPLE.

I signed up and then decided to cancel my membership, I was unable to cancel because the manger was not at the facility. They charged my debit card after telling me they wouldn't, the manager keeps banker hours and isn't at the facility until noon most days. Poor customer service,no one can make decisions ,do not give your bank account Info or debit card. Do not use planet fitness anyplace.
The reply I just received is typical crap and offered no resolution. Stay away from this place. Don't give them your info.
I filed a fraudulent charge on them with my debit card and bank . Just canceling my accou.t and issuing a refund for the money that was taken without my authorization would have been easier

Only good if you don't use Black card. Work out ar great and it's a quiet place but. I waited over 10 minutes trying to go into the spa. There was no employees to let us in I was not the only one waiting. Again great for basic plan, but dont waste your money on a black card if you want to use the rooms. I read the reviews prior to visiting. The negative reviews are a joke, people need to pay attention to what they signed up for. This gym is not my home gym and visited as I was near the area. 100% would come back; both front desk clerks were always available and professional, clean, the atmosphere is calm and focused on just working out; everyone minding their own business. For being an old gym, it's still very clean. The changing room has the right amount of lighting. It's in front of a coffee place that I enjoy, so there's that as well. One thing though the standing tanning bed is tiny, I barely fit in there and I'm not a big guy.

These places NEEDs to update the locker rooms. From the plastic tarp shower curtains to not having anywhere to place your belongings to keep dry, as well as the 1990's style restroom stalls where you can easily see the occupant using the restroom.

I have not been to Planet Fitness in over a year due to taking care of a family member. Even though I had not been to the gym while caring for the family I still maintained it financially knowing that I would return. Yesterday morning I decided to download the Planet Fitness app so that I could start going back to the gym however, I noticed my account had a $200 balance, I immediately logged into my bank account and pulled up the monthly auto drafts from my account. My records showed that the automatic monthly payment of $23.87 ABC*4341-Planet Fitness has been taken out since the start of my account in 2019 along with an Annual Membership Fee of $42.22 each April. Even though I had not been to the gym while caring for the family I still maintained it financially knowing that I would return, so I was stunned by the $200 balance and figured it was just an oversight on the PF side, so I called to inquire with my home gym (Deer Park, Texas Club #4341). I spoke to the manager and explained to her the whole situation and that my bank account was automatically drafted each month and should reflect active and updated with payments. The manager asked for my phone number to pull up my account, she said that my account was still active and did see the monthly payments, and that the $200 balance was due to late fees ($10 monthly) dating back to July 19, 2022. I asked how I could excess a late fee if my account was on auto-draft and taken out of my account monthly. She said that each month they drafted all accounts on the 17th but mine for “some unknown reason” was drafted on the 23rd. She said she didn’t know why my credit card was charged for the monthly fee on the 23rd vs the 17th. She said, “There must be some disconnect” Whatever that means. She was unwilling to waive the fee. I was unaware of any issue and my monthly dues got paid each month. I also asked for clarification on why I wasn’t called regarding this payment issue, and she said she wasn’t sure why I wasn’t notified. (I’m sure that’s because they received a payment each month)
I find this situation deeply concerning and believe that the late fee is unjustified for the following reasons. Absence of Notification: Planet Fitness failed to notify me when they were unable to charge the monthly membership fee on time on the 17th rather than the 23rd each month for nearly 2 years. I was unaware of any issues until yesterday morning, indicating a lack of communication on their part. I don’t have any control over when the funds are drafted from my account. I contacted my Credit Card company/bank and they said they didn’t see any declined charges and said charges are instantaneous with no delay or holdings. The Transaction Date and Post date are the same. I firmly believe that the late fee is unjust and may be affecting numerous other customers who are unaware of this situation. It appears to be a systematic issue on Planet Fitness's part. Maybe it's just time for me to cancel my account altogether seems like they are willing to close a member rather than make it right. The manager didn’t seem to care in resolving this matter or to rectify the situation. I have had no issues with Planet Fitness until now.

Went into planet fitness today and before I was able to check in I was immediately harassed about my backpack and asked to put it in a locker. I was going to set it down briefly to check in. When my gym partner came in a few minutes later, I asked is she was told anything about her bag and she was not told anything. I thought this was a judgment free zone. I guess not since I’ve seen others with there bags and I was the only one told something about mine.
I think staff needs to be more profesional and not be picking on members they don’t like to make them cancel their membership like I did today.
